-remove Kel's body hair

and I thank you for it. I have seen too many fem!Kels that are just the default anime girl body type with Kel's hair, clothes and skin tone, so seeing your take on fem!Kel is a nice breath of fresh air

the fact that AI could potentially replace a lot of art jobs honestly speaks more to how monotonous and dull making commercial art is than how "evil" the technology is. philistine execs and corporations dont care about the rich possibilities of art. it makes sense that artists are easily replaceable to them when all theyre trying to make are products. it feels like more than ever ppl have to wrestle w the fact that most commercial work is garbage fodder for quick money and to think more about what aspects of art are irreplaceable with automation. but living under capitalism goes directly against exploring art in a way that matters bc ppl r too busy trying to survive so here we are

Listen I'm a bit of a hater and I do have some reservations with the concept surrounding conformation and animal fancy as an institution but horses are one of the LAST animals you can really criticize for their conformation standards and just calling it eugenics. Unlike most dog breed standards, horse conformation is more predicated on their ability to function and perform work, or to carry a wholeass person on their backs so it's really important they got good structure!!! Sure there's halter horses bred purely for show and that's where you start getting the wonky dish faced Arabians and BBL quarter horses but unlike pugs the vast majority of horse breed standards do in fact keep the horse's best interests in mind.

heres my hot take: i do not care that the beyond team has changed their minds and are bringing tord back for merch/possibly beyond (heh). if it makes them money then damn why wouldnt they? they do have to actually Pay their damn animators.

as for it somehow being disrespectful to irl tord...i feel like if irl tord was aware of this he would have either gotten in contact with the team to tell them to stop making tord stuff OR he does not care bc the character tord has Long stopped representing who he is now. that goes for all the characters too. equating the real ass ppl with the characters only when its convenient to your argument is really disingenuous imo.

I think My Melody could be autistic.

I wouldn't go so far as to say she's an autistic-coded character, but I do think it's a very feasible reading of the Onegai My Melody anime. Here's my evidence:

She has difficulty identifying emotional states in other people, especially negative ones.

She once tried shopping at a big, crowded supermarket, but it was too overwhelming for her, so from then on she sticks to the local farmers' market.

She seems unable to conceive that someone might have negative intentions towards her.

There's a scene where she's playing a racing game with her friend Flat, and she seemingly doesn't understand that the point of it is drive faster than the other player. She just drives the car normally.

She is never intentionally rude to anyone, but frequently says and does things that come across as insensitive. As long as it's not clearly explained to her, she doesn't notice when she inadvertently hurts someone's feelings. This is why Kuromi holds a grudge against her for such a long time.

This one wouldn't mean anything on its own, but combined with all of the above, her comment that she is "very slow at chopping vegetables" could possibly point to an impairment in fine motor skills.
