New Pokemon announced! Polteageist regional fake - Poltchageist!

I like the design. I don't think it'll get an evolution, though I think one would be cool if it ended up getting one to mirror Polteageist (despite having a name similar to Polteageist, it's compared to Sinistea).

We have a lot of Grass/Ghost types already, but I think this guy is cool!

We need a TD character who is perpetually sleepy. When they're not in a challenge, you'll likely find them in their bunk or napping anywhere they want, like on a flat rock where they can rest their head.

On the bright side, they dominate night challenges because they're a night owl.

I love Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog's story. Like, okay you're figuring out everyone's alibis.

Then you get to the last car and every single little thing suddenly CLICKS. All the alibis, the timeline, the reveal. Even Blaze and Rouge's little side heist had relevance.

My mind was blown when Tails put everything together.

I love how it all wraps up in the end. To be fair, I thought it was either Rouge or Vector that was the culprit, but seeing it was Espio took me by surprise.

Tails being a clever little detective is everything I needed to see. He did so good.

In this AU, Darius already adopted Hunter as a baby and Hunter isn't a Grimwalker. I'm using a lot of the Raya and the Last Dragon concepts but adapting them to fit Boiling Isles lore. The Coven Heads each stay in different parts of the Isles, just like how in Raya the different clans inhabited the five different regions of Kumandra (Heart, Fang, Tail, Talon, and Spine). Belos and The Collector will be involved, trying to reassemble a Titan Gem, and they are responsible for most people in the Isles turning to stone. King has his canon superpowers: his ultrasonic voice and echolocation abilities. The Titan Trappers will instead be actual young Titans (King's siblings). The Titans are beings that contain powerful magic, but instead of Titan's Blood it'll be like how the dragons in Raya each have a unique magic. Luz and Eda will be a part of this AU too. For now, I'm not sure if I'll be including Wittebane lore.

It would make more sense if you have watched Raya since my adaptations from the movie are more or less quite direct. You'll see more once I post whatever other art I make for this AU, it's so cool to see people being excited to see more 🙏

We need more casual post-apocalypse shows like Kipo. No ugly zombie stuff, just everybody trying to restart a community.

I don't mind zombies, per se, I just have a lot of questions about them! So it's hard to just watch 'oh no shambling hordes' when there's so many more interesting concepts they could have! Also, I'm not a big fan of gore, so most of them are out by default.

I do have an idea of like. Shepherds trying to bring zombies to a safer place. I'mma write it someday, hopefully, and maybe even publish it lol.

Just found MoonShadow. Thanks for utilizing the head witches where canon didn't. Half of them didn't even get spotlight episodes like everyone else, and I care about them so much.

The nine of them still being in charge after Belos is gone is literally my headcanon.

Hey there! Thanks so much for writing! I hope you continue to enjoy the fic.

I definitely felt like it made sense for the Coven Heads to take on governing duties - almost by default - after the dust had settled. At least initially the citizens might well look to them for guidance.

However, even with Belos seemingly out of the picture, he left behind a ideology that’s been taught to the inhabitants of the Boiling Isles for fifty years, and that’s not going to disappear immediately. Combine that with the wildly different ethical worldviews of the Coven Heads and their inability to agree on which actions should be prioritized, and you’ve got explosive political unrest.

I doubt canon would ever have time to explore this, but the fun part of writing a longfic is that things like that can be included.

I do wonder if we’ll get any more characterization for the other Head Witches in the final two specials. I know I’ve mentioned before how any fanfic character development of The Collector at this point is essentially fanon because we have such minimal canon information to work with, but at least we have a personality and a *bit* of lore.

With many of the Coven Heads, we have next to nothing. We have a character design and that’s about it, which is a challenge to be sure when trying to determine what they are supposed to be like as characters. I’ll be utilizing them a bit more in coming chapters, but it feels a bit more like writing/creating OCs than implementing existing characters.

Six year old Amity stared into the thing that caught her attention. “Ooh…”

Alador walked over to the corner of his workshop, amused by his youngest’s curiosity. “Find something you like, Mittens?”

“Uh huh,” Amity nodded, tapping the metal thing. “What is it?”

He kneeled beside her to be eye level as he explained. “It’s a mobile abomination canister. Witches who primarily use Abomination magic use it to carry around their goo. See the straps? Pull those on like you do with your backpack and you’re ready to go.” He pointed to a pair of straps on one side of the device.

“Wow…” Amity stared at the canister in amazement before eagerly smiling up at her father. “Can I climb in it?”

“Well, I don’t need to use it for now and I don’t have an abomination in there,” Alador thought it over, shrugging playfully. “Go ahead. Let me just lay this down on its side so you can get in easier.” Motioning for her to move aside, he used both hands to tip the canister over.

Once it was down, little Amity crawled in one of the canister’s two open ends. Peering in, Alador watched as she rearranged herself so she could sit in it comfortably.

“How is it?” Alador asked.

Amity shuffled. “Could be softer.”

“It’s a metal canister, Mittens, it’s supposed to be like that. But I’ll make a note of your concern,” the inventor chuckled. “Once the abomination is in there like you are, all I have to do is put on these straps.”

Amity looked as her father disappeared from the opening, and squeaked when the canister suddenly was lifted off the floor.

Alador pulled the straps onto his shoulders, the canister resting against his lower back. He heard his daughter make a noise when he brought up the canister, and smirked jokingly over his shoulder. “Now, I’m all set if I need to use abominations while on the go. Do you want to get out?”

“No, this is fun!” Amity cheered. “Can I stay in here a bit longer?”

“Sure, but I need to get back to work so I’ll keep designing stuff until you’re ready to get out. Okay?”

“Okay!”

Alador turned to return to his workbench, but was stopped by a laugh from his daughter. “Is something funny?”

“Do that again!”

“Do what again?”

“Spin around! Everything went whoosh!”

Understanding her amusement, Alador said, “You mean… like this?” He shook from side to side, rocking the canister and drawing more laughter from his youngest.

Satisfied with Amity’s delight, Alador continued working on his experiments with the canister on his back, occasionally swinging back and forth to make her giggle again.

I can see Amity being aladors favorite when she was little. Curious snd wanting to learn everything she could. Until time came for her to start acting like a Blight and he couldn't be soft with her anymore. A pity really

I agree. I like the story we got, just needed it stretched out a bit further. The Collector, Titan Luz, all that is good. We just needed to give the characters time to breathe and process stuff.

Like, the crew had ideas for the coven heads that they wanted to explore. Like Hettie Cutburn being sadistic despite being a healer.

I'm so pissed that we didn't get the other four coven heads. That's one of my main things I've fixated on.

What are your names for the months in the demon realm? I see Fanguary and Clawgust so far.

OKAY SO

We know Hunter says in “Any Sport In A Storm” that a year for them is 52 weeks, just like us. I am going to assume their weeks are also 7 days just like ours, making for a regular 365 day year. We also know young Eda mentions Scabuary 40th is the date Belos declared the Isles an Empire in “Them’s The Breaks Kid.” From this we can conclude Demon Realm months have approximately 40 days each at minimum. If we then do 365/40 we get 9.125, meaning at most we can have 9 months in a Demon Realm year (possibly less if the months are significantly longer than 40 days).

With that in mind my personal headcanons Demon Realm calendar go like this:

1. Fanguary (I used this in my fic A Birthday For Steve)

2. Scabuary (canon)

3. Scraperil

4. Dismay

5. Boo-lie

6. Clawgust (again used in A Birthday For Steve)
