May I request a Star/Dwayne fic (I so ship them after reading all your fics lol) where Star is scared so Dwayne uses every tick up his sleeve to put a smile on her face and get her to laugh at any cost! I got this idea inspired by your prompts “the boardwalk scared me” / “I’m scared!” I just love Dwayne’s sexy smirk he makes before he’s about to do something 😍 lol

"What's wrong?"

Dwayne was about to walk outside when he realised that Star had been quiet for the whole time he'd been awake. She was still laying in bed, a blanket covering her. She shook her head quietly before turning, so her head was facing away from him.

"Normally you're not like this. What happened?"

"Just leave me alone."

"Star, you know I won't do that."

"You should."

He frowned, last night she had been in a good mood. He realised that David had been up before him.

"Did David to say something?"

She turned around, looking at him. The look in her eyes was enough for him to know that David didn't just say something - he also probably threatened her.

"What did he tell you?"

"If- if I don't feed tonight he'll kill me."

Shit. Dwayne laid down next to her, kissing her softly as he rubber her back.

"I won't let that happen."

"I'm scared."

"You don't have to be. I agree with David that you need to feed soon, you're getting weaker with the day, but I won't let him kill you."

"I don't want to feed."

"You can't stay a half forever. Let's make a deal, okay? You feed before Sunday, and after that you can live off of animal blood or another alternative - as long as you have fed."

She nodded quietly, curling up against him.

"Come on, you look like you could use some fun."

"But David will-"

"He won't. He's mainly bark. Trust me."

Dwayne smiled as he felt her smaller hand in his as he walked up the stairs. He helped her on the back of his bike, before driving off. They drove longer than usual. He didn't drive through the forest so he could go to the boardwalk, instead he took a different route.

"Where are we going?!" Star called out over the sound of his bike. He chuckled, quickly brushing his hand over hers.

"You'll see!"

She was quiet, laying against him until he stopped. He helped her off, and smiled at her. She still didn't know where they were.

"Close your eyes," he kissed her softly. When they were closed he picked her up, flying up into the sky with her. When he landed he put her down to the ground carefully, telling her to open her eyes. They were in an old abandoned building, partially overgrown with wildflowers. Fairylights were put up against the walls, and the whole room had an almost magical feel to it.

"What is this place?" she had a small smile on her face.

"Back in the day it was part of the zoo. After the latest earthquake they'd decided to move the animals, leaving an empty zoo behind. They did leave the fish, though. They're still trying to find a way to reopen as an aquarium, but until then -" he smiled, "I thought you'd like it."

"I do," she hugged him. "Can we see the fish?"

"Only if we swim."

She looked at him with wide eyes. Shed always wanted to go to some tropical island to swim in the sea, between the fishes- but this was the best next thing. How had he known? Shed never talked about it.

"You did, once when you were drunk."

She blushed, smiling a little. "Thank you for bringing me here."

He kissed her, handing her her bathingsuit, before leading her to the aquarium.

"Is it safe for us to jump in?"

"The water is clean, and the window cleaners do the same thing, so the fish will be fine."

Star giggled, nodding. Then she jumped, the lukewarm water washing over her, as she dove down. It was beautiful, the fish swimming around her- each of them their own unique colours. It didn't take long before Dwayne caught up with her, pulling her back to shore. When she was above water she realised why- shed been so amazed by it all she forgot that she needed air. Gasping for it, she burst out in laughter.

"Good thing I was there," Dwayne chuckled, as he brushed some hair out of her face.

"My hero," Star chuckled, kissing him softly. Dwayne pulled her closer towards him, ready to deepen the kiss when- "Take a deep breath, now!"

Star had just enough time to respond, doing as he told her, before he pulled her under water. She looked confused, but got why he did it the second she saw a flashlight shine through the water. The two looked at each other, hiding between a big group of fish, excitement sparkling in their eyes. It took about thirty seconds - and Star really needed some air - before Dwayne swum up again, dragging her along.

"Come on," he chuckled, removing a small fish from her hair and helping it back into the water. "We should get going, before the guard returns."

They got dressed again quickly, driving off towards the beach. There was a small abandoned campfire. Star sighed a happy sigh as she sat down next to him, his jacket covering her shoulders.

"Will you help me when I feed?"

"Wherever I can. Don't worry about that sweetheart."

"I won't. I'm just nervous."

"Hold still -" Dwayne had noticed something moving in her hair, chuckling when he found a small crab.

"What is it?"

"A crab."

"W-what-?" Star jumped up as Dwayne removed it. In her speed she stumbled over her own feet, falling down into the sand. She was quiet for a moment, before she burst out in giggles.

"Come on," Dwayne helped her up, cleaning the sand from her clothes. "Let's set this guy free and head home."
