Obviously unrelated with the comic I’ve been developing but I couldn’t ignore such an important Anipoké happening that it was yesterday. I’m still recovering from the intense and spectacular final episode of Ash VS Leon battle, it brought me tears on my eyes! I’m super emotional about Ash’s victory that was completely deserved and an evidence of the huge growth of the character in over 1200 episodes and dozens of movies. Ash is now a World Champion, the strongest Trainer of the planet, what a time to be alive!!

Have you ever thought about "reverse engineering" Skye back into a sonic fan character for an au?

Oh good god–that sure is an idea, huh. I could fuck with that! Though, I‌ don’t think it’d be an AU as much as it would be me exploring how I’d handle the original Skye after so long. and going back to my ol' shadsky days lol

If I‌ were to do that, I think I’d go back to the old RP blog version of Sonic OC!Skye and “reboot” him, as he was the most fleshed out version I‌ wrote (who wasn’t the Skye who’d eventually become Greyscale!Skye) prior to jumping ship for Anipoké.

That being said, he really didn't have a story outside of romancing Shadow so there is a massive gap between losing his parents to Perfect Chaos and being Shadow's boyfriend in New Mobotropolis. Dude really had the "this is the protag's love interest" treatment lmao

Lizzie Watches Anipoké, Season 2 - Adventures in the Orange Islands

I'm glad that I'm skipping all the filler episodes, because it seems like half of the episodes in the Orange Islands are just filler.

I liked the Indigo Conference arc, but I feel like Ash's loss to Ritchie would be more impactful if we had met him earlier in the story. Like, as is, Ash and Ritchie are only friends for like 5 minutes before they find out they're battling each other. I think Ritchie should have been introduced earlier as a recurring character who became friends with Ash over time, and then their battle would have a lot more impact.

Speaking of the battles, I feel like the battle sequences have gotten so much cooler. My personal favorites are Ash's second fight with Blaine, and Gary's battle with Giovanni.

Also, I'm kinda disappointed we never got to see Ash and Gary battle it out, even though they're supposed to be each others' main rivals.

The Orange League stuff is fine, but you can definitely tell that they made this shit up on the spot once they realized the Johto video games were gonna be delayed

I kind of hate Charizard's arc. Like we get episode after episode of people blaming Ash for Charizard's disobedience, but in the end Ash doesn't change or go through an arc. He just keeps doing the same thing until Charizard just stops being a jerk. If you're going to blame this problem on Ash, then give Ash something to learn, dang it.

Also I love how the entire reason Ash & co. are in the Orange Islands was to get the GS Ball, and i literally can't remember it being brought up in the last like 20 episodes at all. Yes, I'm aware that the GS Ball is going to be unceremoniously written out so they can do Pokémon 4ever, but it's still funny to me how quickly the gang got sidetracked.

I've been watching the series through Pokémon TV, but they don't have Season 3 up at the moment. Well, goodbye Nintendo and hello illegal internet uploads
