I think the best way to fight this AI shit is just to support actual creators. The cat's out of the bag with AI; our data's going to be taken and used without our consent whether we like it or not, so maybe we should put efforts into holding up those who create their own stuff. Comment/interact on people's writings and art. Make it worth them posting; make it clear that what the people are interested in isn't generated stuff, but things that people have actually done themselves. It's a drop in the ocean, but showing creators that it's them that deserve the support at least serves to cut off a tiny bit of oxygen to these AI hogs - and make a difference to creatives who are trying against hope to share with a community.

thinking about why 13's such a good doctor/character, and I think Jodie's range of expressions specifically makes her so believeable. That woman pulled off absolutely feral, threatening and 'wolf smile'. The way she got her eyes to burn with a menacing fevour with that wide all teeth smile that genuiely looked like throat-ripping. 13 really pulled that side of the doctor out, the side that would and does commit horrific acts (like the genocides, even how she gloats about what she does in return to the master in spyfall).

Honestly can't believe it has already passed 1000 days since I've decided to stan these 8 dorks haha My experience as a stay has been nothing but incredible even tho I thought I was "too old" to stan a new group (clearly I was wrong)

Sadly, I cannot speak from experience. My love and I found each other through pure coincidence! I had no idea how perfect he was when I met him.

Fun fact: He pursued me first, and I was very hesitant about our relationship at first! Of course, my feelings were there, that was undeniable, but giving into to love like that? I was scared of loving too much once again! (all from past experiences, saddly!)

My advice is: Let your guard down. Allow yourself to experience love, to savor it, and give yourself fully. Just be prepared to face rejection. Do not let it hinder you! I faced HARD COLD pain and rejection to meet my love.

Put yourself out there! Go out, join communities, speak and reach out! Make yourself known, you'll draw them in like that.

Patience.

re: this post it's interesting that tyndareus choosing helen's husband and helen choosing for herself both come with versions of the story where odysseus was the brain behind the oath, if you consider odysseus and helen as foils and all the possible permutations of "i'm the one who devised the plot that [allowed you to choose]/[trapped you in something you did not choose], that you [left willingly]/[left unwillingly], which in turn trapped me"

been thinking about bullet train and how tangerine and lemon were doomed from the moment they stepped foot on that train. they were never going to get off alive, not if the white death had his way - and if things went as they should, he would have. the twins were doomed from the start to die - but by chance, lemon survives. and why does he? because tangerine. excluding the vest thing - tangerine chooses which direction they both should take. he goes one way and lemon the other. and when he finds lemon's body, he thinks he sent his brother down the path to his doom. but in actuality, in sending lemon there, he saves him. lemon takes the shots and wakes up, and survives the train where he was meant to be doomed. tangerine survives longer than he thought lemon did, but dies in the way he thought lemon did: apart from his brother, doomed from the start.
