As a gay man, I have to say I’m very offended with the infantilization of queer people and queer stories in the IWTV fandom, bc it looks like we only matter to you when it’s cute, sexy and funny and that it’s bullshit, Interview with the Vampire iT’S A HORROR SHOW with bad people doing bad things, and that it’s GREAT, we need more shows like this, that treats us with the same complexity as any other show with straight characters. WE CAN BE COMPLEX, MESSY AND VIOLENT just like any other person.

People, especially cis het white women, need to STOP fetichizing queer men, WE ARE NOT YOUR BABYGIRL. we are complex people. Ep. 5 was great, it was hard to watch? yes, but that it’s great television, give them an Emmy, you honor, THE ACTING, THE WRITING was amazing. Jacob, Sam and Bailey... we love you.

Lestat smiled and chuckled as he walked towards his wardrobe. "We'll get you your own soon enough." He took off his shoes and turned to him as he unbuckled his pants. "You've had a long life, Y/N. And such an extraordinary one ahead." He pulled his pants down and stood there naked for Y/N. His cock was long and semi hard.

He won't say he remembers that inside his mouth or inside his ass as he flushed slightly and looked at Lestat's room instead of Lestat, who, was smirking with a cockiness that made Y/N's toes curl in excited anticipation. Okay so, the "Interview With A Vampire" series is actually pretty great!

All three main leads deserve awards! Their talent and range in this...🤌🏽. To think "greyworm" went from an unsullied to this powerful, tragic, emotionally complex and sweet vamp. Lol.

I recommend it if you aren't turned off by blood, gore, vampirism, nudity, or a homosexual romance tale of love, abuse, obsession, possessiveness and hedonism. The writing is wonderful.

I feel like some book fans need to understand that AMC’s Interview with the Vampire are not trying to be a 1:1 adaptation of the books, If that wasn't obvious enough with Louis and Claudia being black and the different setting, AND THAT’S OKAY, I love Lestat, he’s a fascinating character, he’s more ruthless in the show and I think that is a VALID and INTERESTING adaptation to make, the same way that I think Louis and Claudia are more complex in the show than in the books or movie. It adds nuance to all the characters, and the stakes are higher here.

Sometimes, we as fans, we fall into the trap of thinking that our interpretation of a character is more valid than the others, and that’s a mistake. Lestat is not a perfect man, he never was, Louis and Lestat relationship was always toxic. 

The world is different from when Anne Rice first wrote the book, the writers are doing a great job at showing us that we shouldn't romanticise their relationship at their current state, with time, and hopefully, many seasons, we can get there.
