awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww it's always so hard for me to pick "my favorites" of things. I mean, I can point out stuff I like, but I can never say that "I like one favorite over another."

I guess if I had to choose, then at the very least I think ERRORtrap would be #1? He's easy to draw if needed, he's based in the actual fnaf games [princess quest Glitchtrap], he can be uncontrollable shadow monster or cunning villain or pathetic man, and one of my favorite things is just making him into literally anything. Just color swapping stuff to black and purple, giving it some combination of ears, spikes, and a bowtie, and calling it an ERROR variant.

Oh yeah and I also like joking every time I get an error message on my electronics that he's doing it to annoy me. Like, my computer blue screened for the first time in two years while I was trying to type this. I swear, it can get way too coincidental with the timing. Sometimes I wonder...

Other than that I kind of find it too difficult to list them in order of favs? I kind of want to turn it back around and ask if anyone else has favorites/ordered favorites of the sillies, bc now I'm curious. There's ERORR, Jacko, Moth, Vamp, Beast, and Smol if anyone wants to :)c

Critterween Costume 2

Another Halloween costume! At first I was going to have her be Springtrap but figured Hoppy would like to go as someone more space themed. (And Springtrap Hoppy was too hard for me to draw. 😓)

In your theory about the Spring Bonnie suit possession, did Afton ever get used to it? Like after going through the pain long enough he was kinda numb to it? Also what are the situations in those thousands of times that he would have died and had to pull himself back together? Like if he got too tired and couldn't hold it much longer?

Very curious about this theory and it's also HORRIFYING

Although he's spent a really long time stuck inside the safe room, I don't think he has ever gotten used to the pain. I guess it only contributed to his hatred of the children. He took advantage of it, overpowering his own suffering with feelings of anger and resentment.

Spending 3 decades undead is one thing, but spending 3 decades undead and locked away from the world is another. In a sense, time stopped for him. If time stops, nothing changes, and so does his mind. There is not "enough room" for him to process any of those negative thoughts.

In regards to the multiple deaths situation, there's a way to exemplify it:

Imagine an anatomical heart. The resting heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute.

Now, imagine that the diastole (when the heart muscle relaxes) is a cell falling apart, and the systole (when the heart muscle contracts) is the cell being forced back together. Now, imagine a REALLY quick heartbeat. It's so fast that you could hear a quiet whirring sound, like a machine. Those are the cells, breaking and rearranging themselves over and over again.

You can't exactly get tired/notice time passing if you lack a reminder of the world moving on (e.g., scrolling on TikTok). Once Springtrap was freed, all the hate he'd accumulated spread over. Time was "unpaused". He left the loop and was allowed to move on, meaning he could eventually get tired.

Getting tired meant allowing himself to permanently stay dead, which he took a long time to do. At some point, he must've leaned against a wall in silence, in the same position he was found at Fazbear's Fright, and waited for the already deteriorated cells to succumb. I think that's how he died.

Pulling out of the driveway, and into the street, you shared another glance at Springtrap--who seemed to move a little closer towards the window--his face nearly pressed against it.

You needed to stay focused on the road, but in that moment, there was another thing that you managed to notice: he wasn't wearing a seat belt.

Both hands were gripping the wheel, but a part of you was considering letting go, and buckling the rabbit in--but you shook your head a little. It's a little silly to worry about that... isn't it?

He's a robot rabbit. I doubt much would happen to him if anything happened during the drive. A quiet sigh was released. Wouldn't be good for me, though.

You cleared your throat. "Hey?"

The action was done so quickly, that you weren't that certain if Springtrap had actually cared to look at you or not. He was still facing the window.

There were only trees and houses that the two of you were passing so far--like most early drives that you'd gone on, there didn't seem to be much of anyone out on the sidewalk, or others driving.

At least, you were sure that happened way more in other areas--but it seemed pretty rare for your neighborhood, and around it. You always couldn't help but wonder what everyone else tended to do.

Does he just really like the outdoors? I guess he would have normally been inside a building. You slowed down the car, just a little bit. What all would he have done in there?

Even though you could ask him, there were already some questions, you remembered, that Springtrap had refused to answer for one reason or another, and you doubted you could spill anything out.

What were the chances that he would answer that one, too? You shrugged. Your eyes drifted to the radio, and then at the rabbit--who could have still been listening.

"I'm going to play some music... something you want to listen to?" You were already beginning to turn through the channels--taking a few seconds to listen, before moving forward.

"No." The rabbit stated blankly, not bothering to give you any sort of look again.

You sighed, and then briefly lifted a gloved hand again, to point at the window. "You like looking out there? The trees look pretty nice, I guess."

A rather gentle and low grumble escaped from Springtrap's throat, but no real words accompanied it. Despite that, the answer... you thought you knew what he meant. Yes.

"Well..." The words started, but you found yourself abruptly trailing off and then sighing again. He probably won't want to talk about much else. Just... leave him be.

The car ride was thrown into silence. The only talking that was being done was from the radio--the man on it was mentioning about playing one of your favorite songs soon.

The breaths were quiet, but considering that he was seated beside you, the noises continuing to come from the rabbit were easily heard. Just how long has that actually been going on for?

As the car began to approach a stop sign, you saw an older man on the sidewalk to the left--he was going at a slow pace, seemingly listening to some music, while he walked two dogs.

One looked to be a husky, and while the other dog was smaller, that was the only thing that you were certain of about it. You had no clue about the type of breed--it wasn't coming to you.

The man and his dogs didn't seem to notice you, though, and you sighed. What will someone think? The windows aren't really that dark or anything.

If they get scared at the sight... You glanced towards the rabbit. He'll probably be delighted about that, won't he?

Just as you turned to look at him, Springtrap's hand shot forward--reaching the radio--and, at first, you assumed that he was going to try and find a different song to play for himself.

Instead, he fiddled with the radio's volume, lowering it until it was at a zero. You huffed in slight annoyance, as the song had been about to play. "Why'd you do that?"

"Restoration..." He grumbled, as if he were in deep thought.

"What?"

He hummed. "That is what you wish to do with me, is it not? To fix me, to take me back to that original state..."

"It is," You slowly nodded, continuously glancing between Springtap and the road. "Why?"

It sounded like Springtrap let out a scoff. He was looking at you fully now. "You say that is what you want to do... but you haven't a clue about anything relating to Freddy's."

"I... you're right. Yeah." You nodded again, shifting around in the seat a little.

"You haven't any clue about this, either." The rabbit gestured briefly to himself. "Without a clue about the suit, what exactly do you intend to do?"

"Well..."

"Do you even know the original color?" I knew he wasn't supposed to be green.

"...Brown?" You shrugged.

"Yellow." He huffed.

"Yellow... well, I was planning on patching up those holes of yours first. I could find something fuzzy and yellow, if that would help." You answered. "Or... I could just paint you."

You grinned a little, but Springtrap only stared blankly in response. At least until something seemed to hit him--something else about what you had said.

"Fuzzy?" Came a quiet rasp. "Why would you do that?"

"Because you are?" You quietly answered. "Haven't you noticed that?"

Slowly, Springtrap's hand raised, and he just stared at it. "After all this time..." He whispered slowly.

You blinked. "Something wrong?"

It was another question that went unanswered. He lowered his hand, and then looked back at you, ears twitching. Springtrap seemed to clear his throat... but you doubted that would do anything.

"This doesn't change the fact that you know next to nothing about Freddy's." Well, I'm not denying that. I agree 100%. I only know about a previous color.

"Well, why don't you tell me more about it all, then?" You questioned, gloved hand hurriedly reaching into one of your pockets, and retrieving the phone.

"Maybe there's some stuff on there about it. I could get a better look at your original look." You replied. If I'm lucky. How well known was this whole thing? He'd seemed upset about me not knowing.

You held the phone out in Springtrap's direction, who stared it with brief hesitation in his gray eyes. But whatever might have been wrong, the rabbit didn't say anything about it.

After a few extra seconds, Springtrap finally took the phone from your grasp, squinting ever so slightly at the brightened screen in front of him.

He placed it on his leg, and tapped at it briefly with a finger--watching as it proceeded to unlock. Springtrap glanced at you, then back at the phone.

Pressing the icon seemed easy enough for him--but actually typing? Well...

As you reached a still, red light, you heard Springtrap grunt. You quickly turned your head to look at the giant rabbit in the passenger seat of your car.

He was obviously trying to type something--a finger hovering over the F on the keypad. You watched as he did it a second time--then a third, and then a fourth, and then a fifth...

But it didn't seem like it was working. Your eyes started to focus a little more on all of the fake fur that spread all across his body, some patches a darker shade than others.

Maybe all of that's getting in the way? Like when you have thick gloves. It's never worked for me. You started to open your mouth, words slowly beginning to form.

Although, Springtrap gave it one final try--evidently not pressing very hard the last couple of times. It didn't quite help that he seemed to be growing frustrated.

He slammed two fingers down around the keypad, and, immediately, the phone cracked.

"Hey!" You gasped.

Slowly blinking, Springtrap looked away from the phone, and towards you. The light finally turned green. "Oops." The rabbit commented blankly.

"I should have done it..." You whispered with a groan, hurriedly snatching the phone off of the rabbit's leg, sliding it back into a pocket.

Silence returned. And, this time, you didn't try to break it--remaining focused on driving, and still feeling upset about the phone. But, he didn't mean it, did he? I can't make him fix it.

Springtrap didn't try to break it, either. Now without trying to use the phone, he'd turned away from your direction, and had gone back to staring out of the window.

Not at first, at least. You kept driving, and driving--and he kept staring in silence for what felt like forever--but it hadn't been that long since you'd hopped in.

"Where you found me..." Springtrap murmured.

The car came to a halt, and your head turned. "What?"

"This is where you found me." He repeated.

You raised an eyebrow, staring out through the window, squinting slightly. "How can you be sure?"

When he didn't give you an answer for that--just glancing at you for a few seconds, something else crossed your mind. "You collapsed here because of the fire, right?"

Still no answer from the rabbit, but you were starting to grow used to those moments. You continued. "So, the attraction should be pretty close, right? Unless you walked really far."

"I suppose the remains should be around here somewhere, yes. Not quite far." Springtrap strained.

"Well, which way should I go, then?"

Springtrap blinked. "It's what remains of a burned haunted house. It was big enough before the fire. Finding what's left shouldn't be that hard."

"Okay." You nodded and sighed.

The car began to move again, and you focused back on the road. Springtrap finally pulled himself away from the window completely, staring ahead now.

You'd never been to any haunted house before. You knew that they were fake--just little fun things to do around Halloween--but you had never managed to convince yourself to go to one.

Even if they were fake, wandering through some halls, and then having some man in a costume--or just make-up--and potentially chasing you around, didn't seem that fun.

You shifted around again. "Hey, Springtrap? I have another question."

No response, but the words continued out through your mouth anyways.

"What exactly did you do in the building? Just... basic jump scare stuff?" You shrugged a little as you spoke.

No response.

Wondering if he may have returned to look out the window so quickly, when there was a stop sign, you turned around to stare at the rabbit.

He wasn't staring out the window. The rabbit was sitting straight ahead--so that his face would be watching where exactly you were driving--but the rabbit seemed to be slumped over slightly.

The continuous breathing, although still coming off as pretty raspy, was quiet and soft--as best as it possibly could be, at least. You blinked.

Springtrap's eyes--no longer glowing in the moment--were nearly shut, but seemed to have stopped by just a sliver. You inched a little closer. Is he... sleeping? How can he do that?

Shaking your head a little bit, you turned to look ahead once more, and drive. Once we get there, I'll wake him up. I could poke him... but he probably wouldn't like that.

You took in a deep breath, and exhaled...

And that was when a new, familiar noise filled your ears. It was quiet, at first--but then it began to grow louder. It had been shockingly slow, too--but it was beginning to quicken.

Was that a...

Fnaf movie notes, spoilers ahead:

First off, fuck Scott Cawthon, let's just say I didn't watch the movie in theaters or on a streaming service.

What I liked:

Matthew Lillard actually looks like William Afton

The "Talking in Your Sleep" cameo was the best one of the movie, next to "I have a theory"

Cory was funny, as expected

I liked how they made the animatronics just kids, they want a friend.

The way the animatronics moved was great, I just wish we could have gotten a foxy running scene.

The cinematography and set design inside the pizzeria was great, and everywhere outside felt very real.

The animatronics were cute when I was supposed to like them and foreboding when I was supposed to be scared of them. I don't know if they physically changed the suits but it works.

Mike's actor was actually pretty good at looking distressed or upset.

I just want to hug the animatronics they are so cute 🥺🥺

The animatronics weren't sadistic, when they killed someone it was because they were trying to get them out or away. Just like if an actual little kid had that power, they wouldn't be cruel or even want to kill anyone, they just don't understand their own power

There actually were five nights!

Springtrap wiping the knife is a reference to Scream, where Matthew Lillard played Ghostface, who is known for wiping their knife after using it.

BALLOON BOY

What I didn't like:

You're telling me they named their main character Mike and they didn't have Afton go "MIKE! MICHAEL!!! MICHAEL DON'T LEAVE ME HERE!!!!! *MICHAEL!*

Vanessa was a nothing burger, even when her motivation was revealed it wasn't that good. I think it would have been better if they set up that she was working with Afton

Golden Freddy was everywhere but they didn't namedrop the kid once, and it was so inconsistent. He's here, he's not here. I'm assuming it's a combination of Cassidy and the Crying Child.

Afton's connection to the story is flimsy. Why was he pretending to be Raglan? I'm assuming it's so he could get night guards to toy with, that's why the animatronics killed the intruders but not Mike.

It's kind of weird thinking about the logic of how Afton killed Mike's brother, and gave his daughter the plane. Just seems a little bit of a stretch.

Even though I hate excessive gore, I thought there wasn't half as much violence as there should have been. I guess the PG-13 rating constricted a lot.

It takes a broom to activate what I'm assuming is a Circus Baby reference springlock, but Afton can jump around in Spring Bonnie.

The only Purple Guy reference we got was a purple tie. They should have made the security vest purple.

Questions

How is the cupcake sentient?

How does Afton control the kids?

Who cleaned up the blood of the four intruders? I'm guessing Afton but I wish they'd made it more clear

Why didn't Afton send out the animatronics on the first night? Even if he wanted to kill Mike, he seems like the type to psychologically torture people beforehand.

Why was there an "it's me" note? I get the reference, but why? Is Mike's brother here?

What's the Freddy mask with the saws inside? I know Afton uses it to kill people but why does it exist?

Why does Balloon Boy exist? Do the toy animatronics exist in this universe??

Why doesn't foxy have a tail?????

If we get a sequel I hope we only get one or two. I don't want a whole cinematic universe. Finding ways to watch 12 movies 'other ways' will get complicated.

Also when the casting was revealed, I didn't know who Matthew Lillard was and someone told me he played live action Shaggy, so I didn't know he played fuckin STU FROM SCREAM until I watched the movie, so another cameo technically, just only for me

Quick FNAF X Dead by Daylight Predictions Before The Collab is Out

Although I haven’t played Dead by Daylight myself, I do have a few predictions on how this crossover will work.. At least in terms of the basics that I’m aware of.

Since this got a bit ramble-y, I’ve put everything under the cut.

Most likely to happen

Springtrap will be the playable villain/Killer, as he was highly requested for years.

As such, he’ll probably get new voicelines that will match this crossover’s version of the lore. (Emphasis on “crossover’s version” here— I’m expecting some obvious artistic liberties even with all the advice Scott and the FNAF team’s given)

Same goes for any new abilities he gets. He might lean more towards the supernatural… Or he might get an axe that’s on fire idk.

His potential skins/alternate versions could be something like Spring-Bonnie from the games, Yellow Rabbit from the films (with a different voice to reflect said films), and a… Blighted variant, I think it’s called?

Regardless, it seems like Michael will be his rival/in The Survior role. Sorry, Henry fans, but I don’t think Henry’s quite ready to get more lore.

Mike will also probably get more outfits and a new voice as well, but idk what all that entails.

So many headcanons will be thrown out the window for the both of them, even though it’s another canonized AU. Say goodbye to your (somewhat) caring Williams and your more chill Mikes, among other things. (I’m already planning to turn one of my own takes into an OC in case I’m right, so I guess my followers might need to be on the lookout for that…)

At least we’ll get more hints towards how Springtrap and Mike interact. That’ll probably be useful for future FNAF games.

Less Likely to Happen (And Probably Not Going To TBH)

Scraptrap skin for Springtrap (that actually looks rad). Especially if you get it for free through an achievement.

The Mimic as the Villain/Killer. I know Secret of the Mimic is out in two months, so this is a bit of a risk. However, since this collab been in development since at least last year, I don’t see this happening because of timing. He might get a skin or a reference somewhere, though.

Vanessa (games or film) as the Rival/Survivor. As much as I would find it interesting, this is another case of timing thanks to the FNAF movie. If she does make it in somehow, then maybe she’ll get a Vanny skin?

Springtrap being too theatrical and hyped up (for lack of a better term) in his voicelines. While FNAF AR might’ve made it possible for this to happen a second time, I feel like this collab is going to be the moment where his character’s going to get a personality reboot. I’m expecting something a bit more like his Sister Location voicelines this time— A calm, collected tone roughened by thirty years of rot and decay. He’ll sound far too cold and reserved even when he’s thinking of witty quips, especially around Mike.

Mike and Springtrap sharing the same voice actor this time. This prediction is more for practicality reasons, honestly. I’m sure whoever the developers picked for these two, that actor (or actors) had to make sure that these two sounded distinct during a multiplayer match. Listening is key, from what I understand of DBD, so there has to be a way to tell the difference.

Springtrap confirmed to have remorse via his voicelines. At all. He may have suffered through something, according to that Into The Pit game, but I bet that’s a secret he’ll take to his— and the franchise’s— grave.

MXES cameo or reference. Another timing issue, but with the potential timeline of this collab. I dunno when this whole thing is set, so we might not get Security Breach references either. A bummer, but it is what it is.

Bonus Round: The Possibilities are a Mixed Bag

Springtrap is still British in the games. Maybe even keeping his voice from AR.

Same as above for Mike, but he’ll have a new voice as stated above.

The collab map is one of the FNAF game locations.

Springtrap might have special lines for certain characters? Maybe?

Fazbear Entertainment cameo. Maybe even in-universe merchandise, if the map is that detailed.

Circus Baby gets referenced somewhere. Most likely through a new in-universe poster.

Most fans are probably going to be happy with this collab, especially if it nicely blends these two games together. (If I’m right about the “multiple headcanons perishing in metaphorical flames”, though, then I’m expecting a bunch of Afton interpretations turning into OCs in a matter of weeks. This goes for both Mike and Will/Spring, btw)

FNAF FAN THEORY: WILLIAM AFTON IS NOT SPRINGTRAP

(oh yea a note that this theory also includes the theory where Scraptrap and Springtrap are the same animatronic/same soul)

(Another note from after I made this post: I know peeps have said this theory was debunked but I still hold onto it because it makes sense to me)

When I was younger, I was always obsessed with this video game franchise and one of the popular theories was that Springtrap was William Afton. But it always confused me for years because of a few things:

1. Why would William target the nightguard?

2. Why would he say stuff like "I always come back" among other things that suggests he thinks the nightguard knows him?

3. Why would William be among the souls he himself had killed (intentionally or unintentionally)?

That's why I am revisiting this old theory I had about almost a decade ago. More details under the cut. ⤵️

Springtrap.. the gross, decaying bunny we all know and love. Perhaps he's not actually the man behind the slaughter? Perhaps he's a victim himself?

According to my questions earlier, Springtrap must be someone who:

1. Has a grudge against/wants to kill the nightguard (or whoever he might think it is).

2. Has come back from the dead before.

3. Thinks the nightguard (or whoever he might think it is) knows him.

The man in question is a character we know. Someone who knew William Afton. Someone who wants to find him.

Someone like...

...His own son.

That's right, folks. My theory (similar to some other people's theories) is that Michael Afton, William's own son is the real one inside the Springtrap animatronic. Let us break this down.

Targetting the Nightguard

We know that most the animatronics target the nightguard because he wears a purple uniform just like their murderer (William). Most these kids' souls probably don't remember his face and only remember the fact that his uniform is purple. That is why they target the nightguard.

Now, my question was WHY would William attack the nightguard when his main targets were children? WHY would he as Springtrap attack a random nightguard if they posed no threat to him? Simple. He just isn't Springtrap.

Springtrap is someone who believes the nightguard to be a deserving target for his violence. Just like the other animatronics who think the nightguard is their murderer, he is looking for his father to probably kill. This is reinforced by...

Michael's End Voiceline

After you complete all of Sister Location's custom night, you get a message from Michael along with an image of guess who? Springtrap in the Fazbear Frights attraction. The message is as follows (script taken from the book, FNAF: The Freddy Files, page 137):

I underlined a few words we have to pay attention to, especially as it points to his objective (finding William) and ALSO matches some voicelines that Scraptrap/Springtrap says. (I also think Michael's voice kinda sounds like Springtrap/Scraptrap but he also probably sounds like his father)

"I always come back"

The words "I always come back" comes from Scraptrap's mouth. There is also the Springtrap alternative, "I'm back!" This suggests he has come back from a horrible situation before, call it death, call it a job at the sister location's maybe... (wink wink)

Michael Afton is a man who has came back from Ennard wearing his body. He has come back from the guilt of killing his younger brother (the crying child). He has come back before. And now, he has come back to find William.

He "always comes back" because he cannot rest. He cannot rest because (according to the Michael end voiceline previously) "there is one thing left for him to do," to find William and kill him.

Other Voicelines

Another thing that Scraptrap says is "You may not recognise me at first, but I assure you, it's still me." This is similar to Michael's end voiceline as shown previously. "...They didn't recognise me at first—but then they thought I was you."

Scraptrap says that line "you may not recognise me at first.." to the nightguard, implying that he thinks the nightguard knows him. (He thinks it's his father just like the other animatronics do).

There is another Springtrap voiceline, "I've been living in the shadows.." which also matches perfectly in Michael's message as shown previously.

In general, most of Springtrap's and Scraptrap's voicelines are all things a vengeful spirit might say. William hasn't had a thing to be vengeful for. He IS the one all the animatronics want revenge on. So it makes more sense that Springtrap is possessed by a victim rather than the man himself.

Some examples of Springtrap (from FNAF AR: Special Delivery because he barely speaks in any other game):

1. "I will make you suffer! Suffer like so many of the others!"

2. "Suffer now! Like all who have stood before me!"

3. "Your time.. is up!"

4. "Hide if you want.. It did not save the others.. it will not save you!"

5. "They will come to find you!"

6. "And now you are mine!"

Etc.

Other Things to Note

Some other things I want to note about Michael:

1. In the end voiceline he says, "I put her back together" presumably referring to Elizabeth, whom he set free in Sister Location. This is the same thing his little brother hears from the plush Golden Fredbear. I believe it is actually Michael who was talking to his brother and the voice was just processed to become Fredbear in his brother's dreaming mind.

2. In FNAF world, Springtrap's loading screen includes the line, "Cuter in person; still a killer." This throws the theory a little off balance... unless you consider that Michael unintentionally killed his little brother. He is "still a killer."

3. William wouldn't touch springlock suits again. If he's worried about his own safety and is aware that springlocks might kill him, he probably wouldn't use it to kill his victims again, especially when he has the Sister Location animatronics to kill children for him.

Michael, on the other hand has used a springlock suit before in the 4th night in Sister Location and survived. He probably believed that using another springlock suit (spring bonnie) to hide from the vengeful spirits, who mistook him for William, would be safe. Instead, he gets locked inside the suit and dies drowning in his own blood. Until he comes back. (You see?? He "always comes back" because "there is only one thing left for him to do")

4. Speaking of FNAF 3 minigame...

In the mini game the player has to play as each animatronic and to follow purple guy (we will assume it's Michael) who says "Follow me." In the end, he destroys each animatronic, thus setting them free. However, the spirits chase him (probably mistaking him for William), causing him to hide in the springlock suit and die.

Michael's objective was to kill William but also to set the souls free as stated in his voiceline, specifically "...She's free now," referring to Elizabeth being set free by Ennard wearing his skin. He wanted to set the victims free. But it didn't work because they were still enraged and restless.

5. Michael carries the guilt of accidentally killing his little brother by what was intended to be a harmless prank. My theory is that because of this guilt, he takes it upon himself that he must "put them back together." He tells himself that he must set them (all the victims) free from the chains of the mechanical prisons that is the animatronics.

6. In the Freddy Files (and blatantly said in other FNAF things like the movie), Scraptrap is referred to as "William Afton." I believe this to be a red herring that is very fitting.

I've already mentioned that the souls Michael set free likely mistook Michael for William and that's why they chased him. My theory is that Scott Cawthon wrote it like that on purpose because many of the souls and others already mistake him for William Afton and even outside of the canon, he is still only remembered and thought of as "William Afton" despite all the evidence. This fools people just like the souls were fooled about Springtrap's true identity.

If my theory is correct, I am so sorry, Michael Afton that so many souls blamed you for the things your father did. I hope one day, you and the other victims may find peace and finally rest...

So...

As long as I may talk about this theory.. Sadly, there are also some shortcomings like every theory has...

Shortcomings

1. Cassette man calls Scraptrap "old friend" and that he should burn in hell. I have no explanation for this except for he mistook Michael for William.. or he is not actually referring to Scraptrap but is referring to the nightguard (?).

2. I just solved this second shortcoming in the 6th "Other Things."

With the DBD x FNAF announcement being a few days away, i would like to share some thoughts and also hear your imput on.

Although i think Springtrap is the very likely obvious candidate for the hunter, given he’s iconic in this franchise and he fits the theme/aesthetic of DBD.

However i don’t think Freddy and The Mimic aren’t a bad choice either

What im most interested about is the Survivors.

I think the most reliable guess that im almost 100% sure is going to be a survivor is Vanessa

Here’s the thing: Michael and Jeremy make the most sense. But this is Scott/FNAF we’re talking about, I’m not sure he’ll be comfortable or smt along those lines, to show a canonical design and characterization of both characters. which would leave him or SW??? To go for the safest bet, the ones that already have an existing character and design;

Gregory, Vanessa and Cassie

Gregory and Cassie (ok ima be fr, i think cassie has a more likely chance to appear than Gregory, they hate that little boy i swear they do) are Child Characters, as far as i know all survivors have been adults, however they could very much change the roster to include said child characters; right now, its unknown waters.

Which leaves us with Vanessa, which honestly fits the criteria, seemingly needed for a survivor. Adult character, that plays the role of protagonist, with pre-established character and design.

BUT

They could very much add Movie!Mike instead, since he also fits the criteria, and he’s Mike.

But take what i think with a grain of salt, because i don’t know much off of DBD (i mean, i think a chapter can have multiple hunters and/or survivors so) and just kinda went into this rabbit hole (hehe) of thoughts and I wanted to hear ur thoughts on it because you probably know more about DBD than I do :}

ok so basically what I said in the og ask is that regarding the survivors, it's almost impossible for Gregory and Cassie to be survivors bc they're children. dbd has never done that so if they did it'd be insanely changing the game and taking a big leap that prob wouldn't be worth it, bc every map in the game right now is designed for adult heights and kids wouldn't come past rocks/pallets/vaults etc. also there's already a kind of problem with using survivors that camouflage w the environment so if a survivor could be half of the height as a normal survivor the hiding in bushes thing would become crazy 😭 (it'd be so funny tho to watch Gregory become the instant op meta for dbd tho)

and it would literally be insane and on purpose at that point if Vanessa is not a survivor (at any point in time) because she's the only character in the entire franchise that fits the quota for a dbd survivor (adult + canon face/model/design) so if she isn't in it it would genuinely be crazy

as for the killer, in the interview dbd said that they "created a canon way for the killer to kill people" whatever that means, so we can use that to narrow it down but it's kinda hard to do that since basically every og era character could fit that criteria. I genuinely believe the killer will be springtrap and if og Freddy or any other og characters are in the game as killers they'd be cosmetics for springtrap

but that doesn't mean that vanny couldn't be a cosmetic either. dbd understands their ips a great amount and does their best to show off their potential in what they call their "horror hall of fame" (dbd the game). I've had this theory for a while and there's no telling if they'd let us know about it once this chapter comes out or after

but the theory is basically that because behavior knows about the potential they need to reach for their collabs, they understand the same with fnaf with another thing they said in the interview being that they know that this fnaf collab is a big deal and fnaf is everywhere and they know people have asked for it for years. so it's safe to assume they know that they need to take hold of this opportunity and do their best

so especially since fnaf has two distinct eras currently, they might go the same route they did with resident evil, which is they make one chapter with one set of characters and an iconic villain, but know that there's too many iconic characters for just one pick so they make a second chapter to cover all their bases. for RE it was nemesis, Jill, and Leon, and the 2nd was wesker, Rebecca and Ada

basically this means that they could go this route with fnaf and make multiple chapters for multiple characters bc they understand there's too many to pick just one. and like I said above theres 2 distinct eras so they could go the route of the first chapter being springtrap + shadow face security guard guy and then 2nd being vanny + Vanessa

but that's just wishful thinking bc they'd probably go with the mimic and it's mascot costumes for cosmetics LOL (not for any advertising reasons for sotm tho)

I guess we'll see in 2 days!! they also probably wouldn't reveal cosmetics until later but they could. with the Chucky chapter they revealed Tiffany at a later date seen on their YT channel so it might not be at the same time as the base killer but it could be bc this is a pax showcase and not a yt trailer. we don't know but I'm not gonna lose hope immediately if there's no sign of vanny or mostly Vanessa in this chapter bc I'll keep my RE theory in mind

So this is yet another Au that I guess I will call the roommates AU???? The general gist for this is that Henry finds William post Springtrapping and agrees to rebuild and revive him in exchange for William helping him undo all the harm he has caused. Not really having much of a choice but also incapable of really ever saying no to Henry he agrees and as such roommates!!!! There is some other finer details but this thing is already way too fucking long already so lets just get into it

Tap Tap Tap

When Henry starts to think on it almost absentmindedly he starts to equate the tap,tap,tap of Williams feet as the sounds of a dog patrolling its territory

The click of claws on tile

When Henry had first discovered William slumped in that backroom he had known that the damage was bad, when they came to the agreement Williams rotted hand encircling his he knew it would be difficult

As if trying to snatch someone form the jaws of death would ever be an easy endeavour.

Remnant had done alot of the work but some parts had simply been unsalvageable and had to be replaced with metal

William hadn't seemed too upset about it but Henry hadn't expected him to be.

One of the main problem areas had been anything small, teeth fingers toes.

Henry wasn't sure why

Maybe it was like working with clay?

Once as Henry is doing a generalised repair he had leaned over to check something when William had reached out and touched him trailing his hands over his left arm

His metal arm

Henry hadn't been able to do anything but go stock stiff

“What a pair we make darling” William had rasped

After that Henry had disconnected his arm for three days before begrudgingly reattaching it when he realised how annoying it was to do everything and purposefully handicapping himself to prove a non-existent point wasn't worth it

However despite everything William wasn't the worst roommate he had ever had

The first time Henry had returned home from work so exhausted that he couldn't see straight and discovered that William had not only done all the chores but made dinner he had been able to do nothing but stare.

The smile that William had given him when he meekly said thank you had almost been more unnerving than the act itself

Since then William had continued doing it and when he finally stopped procrastinating talking to him about it William had said that it was only fair.

Henry was currently the only source of income for obvious reasons, anytime he broached the topic of William going outside for anything he would simply stare at him until he trailed off and dropped it. He really should get around to checking to see if William was ever legally declared dead or was simply just missing.

Williams casual helpfulness wasn't the only thing that was unnerving though

William stares

This actually took quite a long time for Henry to figure out due to his avoidance of the cryptid he had invited into his apartment. Being constantly plagued with thoughts about how this was all a huge mistake and how William was absolutely just going to stab him in his sleep, its due to this that Henry only notices when he begins to get somewhat used to his new roommate

So the first time that Henry notices it is when he glances up in response to the fridge clunking to find William gazing at him from across the room

The most disquieting fact about the entire thing was that it wasn't even like an out of the corner of his eye kind of thing no dead on eyes FULLY unblinking. NOT helped by how bright his eyes are so it kinda feels like he has a pair of high beams aimed at him

What does Henry in that moment, headphones on sketchpad on his thighs?

Nothing

Well not entirely true he actually blushes so hard he almost vomits and hurriedly looks back down

He sits there for two hours without drawing anything.

William doesn't move or acknowledge it once.

Since then Henry has noticed it alot but he cant quite parse out a pattern other than often, and he's equally at a loss to discern a reason for why he's doing it

He eventually decides that he's doing it to unnerve him

His mind occasionally starts to whisper other possible reasons but he swiftly shuts them down

Until comes the night where he cant anymore

Its important to note that Henry is an incredibly deep sleeper to the point of constant inconvenience, granted this is due in part to his tendency to stay up for two days straight before crashing into a state of unconsciousness so deep that nothing can reach him

In his more idle thoughts he hopes its what death is like but after seeing William he doesn't have much hope.

There was more than one occasion where William had come to fetch him for a meeting and then spend so long to rouse him that he would wind up being late for said meeting

Eventually William would enter the room see he was sleeping and simply turn around and walk out.

With that in mind he isn't quite sure what made him awaken that night but he does

Henrys sleepy half awake mind registers weight and warmth without assigning any meaning to it other than that its pleasant, pleasant enough that he almost goes right back to sleep

But then there's the puff of hot air on his neck and he goes from half asleep to wide awake as he FINALLY connect the dots.

William is in the bed with him

His first panicked instinct to wriggle away proves fruitless as William had fully wound himself around him, his head shoved into the junction between his neck and shoulder. His struggling doesn't even cause William to stir, his panic only increases when he remembers that he doesn't have his arm connected.

Rational thought completely evicted Henry leans down and sinks his teeth into the bridge of Williams nose.

THAT finally gets him his reaction as William shoves him away

Henry hits the floor and scrambles to his feet exceptionally fast considering the lack of arm and stares at the figure on his bed heart rabbiting so fast that he can scarcely think of anything else.

William is still as death, stuck halfway prone with blood running down his face, his eyes are as they always are and that, that maddeningly familiar detail cracks something in Henry

“William” he bites out with alot of effort “What the Fuck!”

William as FUCKING always simply stares

Henry lets out a string of unintelligible hisses before stomping over and awkwardly jamming his feet into his shoes, before turning and awkwardly patting down his discarded jeans for his wallet and keys.

He really needs to get his fucking arm

This of all things is what spurs William into action “Where are you going?” he asks uncertainty

“Out” he hisses from where he's still crouched on the floor

He's startled by William reaching out to touch him

Henry shoots up from the floor, teeth bared

“William I swear to FUCK”

“Please don't go” the words are hushed and said with a desperation that unnerves him more than anything else. But the anger ever present is still there and still hot

“Why not?” he says breathlessly, a bared smile crosses his face “ unless you want to somehow explain?”

Williams face has turned to stone “ Explain what?” he says lowly.

Henry almost laughs but he instead walks over grabs his arm off the nightstand and turns to storm out.

“I dreamed of you” William says

Henry stops and stares

William is standing in the center of the room illuminated by the moonlight falling in from the window. As he watches he raises a hand to run it through his hair, a nervous tick that Henry hadn't seen from him in so long that he has to close his eyes against the rush of nostalgia so sweet it tastes like poison.

His gaze is fixed on the floor as he continues

“In that room, in the dark time ceased to be real” he says lowly “but” he hesitates for a second “sometimes I would dream”

Henry knows where this is going but he cant bring himself to say anything

“Sometimes I would dream of my children” as he says this a smile so soft and dreamlike crosses his face.

Henry looks away

“But in others” he walks forward as he says it “ I would dream of you, but in all my dreams you were always unchanging”

He's standing before him now and when he reaches out to touch him Henry doesn't move away

He traces his fingers over his face “ Sometimes in moments of quiet, I begin to think that none of this quite real, that I will blink and be staring at the same yellowed wall”

Henry finally raises his gaze to his partners

“ In all of them however, you were never within reach and never quite so warm”

FNAF in DBD concepts:

So we all probably heard that FNAF is officially Dead by Daylight's Anniversary chapter for next year, and it's all but confirmed that the killer will be Springtrap, but here are some other predictions and concepts I have. These likely aren't happening it would just be fun.

Springtrap - Vanny Visceral Skin

Pretty self-explanatory. If Springtrap is the chapter's killer (which it most likely is) then Vanny would be a great visceral skin for him. I would say Legendary, but I feel like Vanny would have completely different animations to Springtrap due to not being a robot.

The Dredge - Mangle Legendary Skin

I think this would go hard, as it would be a mess of wires with her main head being obviously the Toy Foxy head, whilst the rest of him would be a mangle of animatronic parts. I think something cool would be if instead of goopy noises, she made radio static noises and metallic sounds. He'd have to have more added wires and limbs to make up for Dredge's size but it doesn't have to be a 1-for-1 recreation anyway.

The Unknown - Michael/Ennard Legendary Skin

This would go hard I think. It would be pretty similar to the Unknown's default design, just purple and more zombie-looking I guess. I think the Unknown works for this idea since it really gives the appearance of a non-human entity wearing human skin to appear humanoid, and that's more of less what Ennard was doing with Michael's rotting corpse. Maybe facially it could look somewhat similar to Josh Hutcherson but that's a bit of a stretch.

Dwight - Nightguard Inspired Costume

Usually, with big video game licenses like this, one of DBD's original survivors gets a skin, typically either Dwight or Feng. While I could see Feng decked out in a Chica cosplay or something of that sort, that seems a bit too out there I guess. I think it would make more sense to see Dwight in a FNAF-inspired outfit, either based on the movie or the graphic novel's security guard design. Hell, maybe he'll just get a purple shirt or a shirt with a Fazbear design on it, idk.

The Map

So I know a lot of people want the map to just be based on one location. However, I personally have a different idea in mind. Similar to the Saw map, they could merge different locations together. If it's a one-for-one recreation of, let's say, Fazbear's Frights, we'd get another situation like RPD, where it's accurate to the original game but also not great for DBD's gameplay. Instead, I think it would be interesting to have rooms and locations based on all of the games. Maybe the office is the iconic FNAF 1 office, and then there's Pirate's Cove, but also the Puppet's music box is here, and there are some broken animatronics lying around that are from various different games. It would also make sense lore-wise since, in DBD, the maps are taken from the character's memories, so it would be like an amalgamation of Springtrap's memories, for example. It would be more interesting than trying to choose one of the iconic FNAF locations, and turning it into a DBD map.

Map Easter Eggs

Adding to my last point, whatever map they decide to go for should be similar to Midwich, RPD and Nostromo, in my opinion. Not structure-wise, but rather with the easter eggs. Midwich has girls crying in bathrooms, shaking bodies, bodies falling out of lockers, and RPD has zombies outside the windows and the save menu music playing in the safe room. Nostromo has the face-hugger in the window, Jonesy in the lockers, and the MU-TH-UR room, and if they added this level of love to the FNAF map, that would be amazing. Some ideas would be hearing the music box music near the Puppet's box (and maybe even the Puppet leaping up from the box), JJ under the office table sometimes, the audio of Chica in the kitchen playing behind the Kitchen door, the Cupcake wandering around and Shadow Freddy/Bonnie randomly appearing in the hallway but then disappearing when you turn around. Stuff like that.

FNAF movie theories; official trailer edition

(Edit: have been informed that CC/Golden Freddy’s name is actually Garrett, will use in future posts but am too lazy to change so Evan = Garrett)

Pt 1: Characters/Protagonists

- Mike is indeed Michael Afton with some sort of trauma/memory loss

- Trauma came from watching his little brother (calling him Evan even though that’s unofficial) die from the bite of (insert year here), and then possibly watching his dad kill the other kids? 

-- for simplicity’s sake, I’m guessing the other four kids were the ones present at Evan’s b-day party who didn’t stop him from getting killed (unclear yet if it was Mike’s fault as in the games)

- After that Mike ended up running away from his dad and getting taken in by another family; Abby is either:

-- His actual biological sister who he took with him when he escaped (Elizabeth Afton who never became Circus Baby in this version, unclear how much she remembers as she would have been very young at the time)

-- The equivalent to Charlotte and his adopted sister (assuming Henry Emily took him in and changed their names for protection, and that Charlotte didn’t die in this version)

-- An animatronic/hallucination that’s been following him this whole time (less likely; the murders are said to have happened years ago and someone would have noticed by then that he was hallucinating or that Abby didn’t grow older) 

- The little brother/crying child/Evan is possessing Golden Freddy, and also the kid we see in the car during Mike’s dream. This adds to the “Abby is their biological sister” theory, because it would make sense for her to trust Evan/Golden Freddy because they’re siblings.

Pt 2: Antagonists

 - Vanessa is being manipulated by William Afton; it’s unclear if she knows he’s the murderer and sympathizes with him for some reason, or if she’s a pawn being fed false information about the animatronic’s real goals.

- In either case, the animatronics do not want Abby to become one of them, they are trying to protect her from the security guards and show her what really happened to them.

- William assumed a new name and is hiring security guards for Freddy’s for an unknown purpose; most likely to keep the animatronics in and everyone else out.

- William probably wants Mike and Abby to die there as well, either because he blames them for Evan’s death (or Mike at least), he wants them to stay and keep Evan company, or he wants his family to be immortalized forever as unchanging robots. (Unclear if the remnant/immortality thing will be relevant)

Pt 3: Plot and extras

- Movie will take lore elements from the first four games, especially the minigames/8-bit cutscenes.

- Unsure at this point if Henry and Charlotte/The Puppet are in this movie at all but it would be neat if they were.

- In the end Mike will atone for his actions by freeing the children’s souls with Abby and Evan’s help, William will go there in person to try and stop him and end up spring-trapped. 

- Sequel hooks:

-- Springtrap is Not Quite Dead and wants revenge.

-- (Going off the “Abby is not Elizabeth/his biological sister” version) Mike finds evidence that his sister is trapped in another location; cue Circus Baby.

-- Mike finds out that their mother might have been put in an animatronic as well; cue Ballora and Sister Location.

-- Cut to present day/future date; someone finds Springtrap burried in rubble and Mike gets ready to fight him again.

Bonus: We won’t get (a bunch of) actual Youtuber cameos, but there will be pics/voice clips/shout-outs to them as easter eggs for fans.

Sometimes, yes, he’ll be drawing Springtrap, or another character—other times, however? Oh boy.

If any of the others walk by the area, they can just hear Anya trying to guess/make out what Curly’s newest FNaF theory is.
