A long post incoming-- introducing: the designs (and designers!) of the 'Cross Stitch for Gaza' bundle!

Including pieces by Tumblr's own @ansitru, @arboret-art, @badstitched, @ddpej, @flourishingghost, @lpanne, @mathysphere, and @parvumautomaton. Thank you so much to the artists who have made this initiative possible-- your talents have blown us away! There are designs of all sorts in the bundle, perfect for any skill level; there's blackwork, and samplers, and pixel pieces, and everything in between. The artists are also from all walks of life-- we have pieces from professional, published designers, as well as from hobbyists sharing their personal designs, and we'd like to welcome a few first-time pattern-makers: to the pixel artists who're working in cross-stitch for the first time, we're so happy to have you! This bundle contains a mix of new and existing patterns; patterns that are newly-made for the bundle (not previously for sale elsewhere) are marked by a ⭐.

The full pattern bundle is available to anyone who donates €15 or more to help Hadeel Mikki and her family in Gaza.

the pattern is don’t forget your medication by @ansitru , I love how its got kinda like a classic cross stitch vibe while being a bit cheeky. All the plants in it are medicinal too!

I finished the middle section already which looks like this (pic taken before I filled in all the white sections though):

(I need to go over the text again later because I only used one strand when I was meant to use two 🫣 this is my first cross stitch hahaha)

and then this is the section I was working on this weekend (still unfinished):

the grid on the fabric will wash out when I’m finished, though tbh I’m also toying with filling in the background with a colour when I’m done just for extra funsies

but yeah it’s been a lot of fun!! my usual fibre craft is knitting so this has been very different but also very satisfying! I’m gonna frame it and hang it in my bathroom when it’s done 🥰

Can you think of any small scale pixel artists whose art you enjoy? I want to crochet a pixel art piece as a blanket but when 1 pixel = 1 inch, a lot of my fav artists' works seem too massive to comprehend doing. Also feel free to use this as an excuse to plug your (or other artists) works that you think would be a great blanket, I think your aziraphel statue as a close up would make a beautiful blanket. sorry if any of this is weird I have covid I just love your art and the way you showcase smaller artists I followed many others from your posts

@illufinch work would be amazing for cross stitch but i acc dont know if they are cool with it maybe u could ask them. either way u should follow

@ansitru makes patterns and some are pretty small

@ilta222 does some little stuff like this harvest moon cow but idk if she does patterns either !!

edit: oh yeah jubilee @8pxl has patterns, hers are somewhat big i think but she made some cropped versions recently so maybe

A friend -- @gladdolinrosewind, yoooooooo -- commissioned me to make a FULL SET of the Yee Dudes (patterns by Studio Ansitru), and I finished Cowboy Cat today. Took about 2 months for the whole set.

I made this into a lil cross stitch pattern as my next project to stitch!

I did the dots by the section their from and put smaller dot in the corner of the colors that are repeated.
