So I stumbled upon a video today that someone made about the Degrassi subreddit’s least favorite characters. And the one people on there hated the most was Tr*stan. And yup. Totally agree. He was really biphobic and gross toward Miles, which a lot of those commenters pointed out and an awful friend to Maya. I mean, that poor girl was apologizing for things that weren’t even her fault. It was just so damn toxic. But he was also kind of lesbophobic toward Zoe in that he didn’t seem willing to understand WHY Zoe wasn’t ready to come out yet. So relieved that Miles ended up just single and traveling the world with his bestie, Winston instead of being stuck with a guy who constantly slut shamed him and acted as if there was something wrong with him because of his sexuality

I remember there just being so many leagues and leagues of conflict between Miles and every other relationship he had. And obviously there was some conflict in this one too, but for some reason, it just seemed a little bit more, like, effortless.

Hello 💜 Just curious, why do you dislike Tristran Milligan? (Degrassi)

Oh boy.. I’ll try my best not to sound mean here. I kind of despise him. I mean he’s not as bad as Zig or Luke, but he’s not better then Drew.

He’s made biphobic comments.

He’s pressured forced  Zoe to come out and accept the fact that she’s a lesbian.

He stereotypes people. For example, assuming Grace is a lesbian because she ‘dresses like one’ in his perspective. 

Treats all of his friends like shit.

He slut-shames and verbally attacks any girl who goes near Miles. (Esme, Maya) He’s also slut-shamed Zoe, I forget why though.

He’s a brat who kicks and screams whenever things don’t go his way.

He treated Maya like shit after she saved his ass from a pedophile.

He made Maya out to be the bad guy after she saved his ass from a pedophile.

He is shallow as fuck.

He’s annoying, cocky, and rude as fuck.

He’s fake as hell. 

He’s stuck up and mean. 

He’s a piece of shit character/person who gets equally shitty storylines.

There are probably a lot more reasons why I hate him. But these are the main reasons why I despise him. He became more tolerable in Season 4, but it didn’t redeem all the shit he did in previous seasons for me.

Anyways, this is my personal opinion. If you like him, that’s cool. Just don’t become a nut and get pissed because I hate him.
