HEY SPEAKING OF PYRO I ACTUALLY DID ADD BOTH RED AND BLU PYRO TO THE AU--

Originally my reasoning for not adding Pyro was that none of the survivors really needed anything that Pyro typically carries. Being that they're in a desert most of the time, its not like they really had a need for lighters or flamethrowers. Untiiiiiiil the camera changed the map to Coldfront. Now they suddenly desperately needed Pyros loot and wound up with 2 pyros. <XD

The Blu Pyro has the skull face, and Red is the other. I pictured them kind of acting like brothers, and they didn't really stick with the group. The Pybros kind'a just began to wander the map on their own out of curiosity. Maybe returning to the main group once or twice when they got hurt. But that was about it.

And yes! Red Spy is there too! I haven't thought out really a reason why though.. It could have been an accident, like Soldier. Just bumped into him and it turns out he was undamaged maybe?

As for the death thing, yeah if one of the survivors die they would just go back to their bodies. Except for Sniper and Engineer. Since Engineer is really there, he would just die. And Sniper? If he died, his soul would instead be transfered into "the thing". Only after killing both Snipers would he return to his real body.

vyn is somebody i, unfortunately, imagine to sound british. or some kind of european accent. in addition to that, im looking for a voice that has an air of elegance and hoity toity-ness. and the only va that came to my mind was Yuri Lowenthal ala how he voiced eng Clive in Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. but like SOUNDING OLDER. bc clive is like some kind of teenager and thus has some high pitched/voice crack moments. vyn would be this but deeper, smoother, and generally just lower in pitch

artem is somebody i also envision a low voice for, but in terms of vibes, it's less of a floral garden path like vyn and more of a dark, polished wood. LIKE, IT'S SOPHISTICATED BUT IN A MORE GROUNDED WAY. like instead of this voice making me go "huh what an elegant dude" it makes me go "huh what a steady, reliable dude. somebody to trust and also somebody i want to hear give me compliments on my writing." and my va for this is Logan Cunningham ala how he voiced Achilles in Hades. but this voice is again, british (or something, idk anything about europe) and i dont think artem would sound british. he would sound like this without the british, a dude i would want audio asmr of giving me sweet and sincere comments about my skills, calm and assured, just the most earnest and honeyed praise

I always think about this before sleeping at night: OZAI AND URSA COULD BE ATLA SUPREME CANON SHIP IF SHE DIDN'T CHEAT ON HIM I mean they are doing well (and treating zuko well) before he reads that damn letter

x’D well, before sleeping at night I always think about future scenes of my stories I look forward to writing, but to each their own (?)

Frankly, canon-wise I don’t know what to make of Urzai anymore. Gladiator!Urzai is based on my early understanding of their relationship as was presented in Zuko Alone, but then the comics took a whole different direction to explore their story and it went against pretty much everything I’d expected from these two. It’s probably the most unpleasant take on Urzai, despite it’s far from the most depressing, actually? Had they cared about each other to some degree, their story would have been soooo very complicated, and Ursa’s actions would feel much more like a sacrifice than they do, lending a much more tragic feeling to her tale. But alas, that’s not what we were given...

In any case, Ikem obviously poses an irksome problem in any positive canon!Urzai interpretations. His character is vital to The Search because he’s Ursa’s initial source of misery upon being stuck with marrying Ozai, but he hasn’t had a significant role at all in the comics beyond this. Whatever happens next, I highly doubt that he will be more important in future installments. Removing him from the story altogether could do away with Ozai’s completely exaggerated behavior over Ikem, and he’d probably look a little less unhinged and freakish than he does because most of his paranoia over Ursa seems to stem from the awareness that she once loved someone else. Granted, the letter she writes doesn’t help one bit, but he sends Vachir to kill Ikem after YEARS of doing nothing? Which implies he just... obsessed silently with the letter for that long and didn’t act on it until Zuko was older? 

There’s even inconsistencies in Ozai’s erratic, jealous man behavior that I don’t think I’ve pointed out before and I don’t know if anyone else did:

Like... let’s try out all the interpretations of this particular situation: say the wedding wasn’t immediate, they had to prepare for a while: why would he need spies to track down her “every move” before marrying her if they took Ursa to  the Capital on the very day they went to Hira’a, and Ikem was left behind in the village? He wouldn’t need “spies” for it, he would merely need maids to inform him of her every move, like the one who intercepts the letters. I highly doubt that woman qualifies for the title of spy...? :’D

Then, the other possibility... is that Ozai found Ursa on his own, and kept her under surveilance BEFORE Azulon found her? Does THAT make any sense? O_o Or did Azulon find Ursa, tell Ozai, Ozai sent his spies to keep watch on her and only after a few months of being sure she hadn’t fucked Ikem did Ozai and Azulon travel to the village? :’D

... Yeah, weird plot contrivances, what else is new...

Anyways, I think it’s fair to say that Ikem was only thrown into the mix to give Ursa a dramatic reason to despise Ozai since day one. So... would they have been fine if she hadn’t “cheated”? Well, for starters I don’t think she cheated while she was living in the Palace, canon-wise, she only does after Ozai forces her to leave (and I won’t argue that it counts as cheating after she leaves, because they’re technically still married, despite they’re clearly 100% estranged and give zero shits about each other, according to the comics). But going by how this relationship was characterized, I’ve always thought the comics were insisting on presenting an absolutely miserable and unhappy Ursa, who only pretended otherwise for Zuko’s benefit. Yeah, the letter made things worse for their family, but even then, that your husband keeps tabs on everything you do, including the letters you’re sending back to the family you’re no longer allowed to meet, isn’t exactly a sign of healthy relationships. Again, it’s all done to show how bad and toxic Ozai is, and why Ursa has every right to get out of this relationship. Everything is unpleasant and straight-forward.

Obviously, in contrast, Zuko Alone presents a picture of Urzai that allows a thousand possible interpretations. I have no doubts there’s some people who actually think they were in love, then there’s others who think they hated each other’s guts. I’ve even seen fics based on the premise that Ursa was actually in love with Iroh all along and had an affair with him behind Ozai’s back :’DDDD therefore... it can go all sorts of ways. There’s no end to the possible interpretations of what Ursa and Ozai’s story could have been like, but sadly, the comics didn’t offer much that would allow a positive interpretation of canon!Urzai, as far as I can tell.

So, while Urzai definitely had potential to be the coolest possible ATLA version of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth? The very starting point of the comics, when retelling Ursa’s story, establishes pretty strongly that this isn’t the story of a Macbeth and his Lady Macbeth, but the story of a woman who was roped into marrying a toxic man against her will. Hence... it’s not merely because she cheated or because of the letter or because of Ursa’s actions, it’s because the whole backstory the comics created for them blatantly ruled out the possibility for Ursa and Ozai to be as twisted and interesting as some of us hoped they would be.

If you wish their canon relationship were any better, I’ll just say outright that the key factor to make a more palatable version of Urzai would entail removing Ikem from the picture, and that means The Search would have to be written completely differently... and at this point in time, I don’t think canon will backtrack on that at all. Soooo... I’d say go read as many Urzai fics as you can, because fortunately there’s quite a few. There are countless missed opportunities by canon, there’s no arguing with that... so I feel you, and I share your pain. But we can always find refuge in stories, because ultimately, ATLA is just a story too :’D so, look for stories with interpretations of Urzai you can agree with, and then you’ll be much happier in life, I hope!

(Or, you know, imagine such stories before sleeping at night :’DDD then you’ll be just like me x’D)

Talking about music, nostalgy and my new hyperfixation...

Idk if you guys have noticed but I’ve been very much hyped because of Apulanta lately and I just realized that they are basically the base to all of my music taste. I started liking them in the late 90s when I was about 8 years old. I can remember seeing a music video on TV and that video came out either in 1999 or 2000. And I just had an idea to go through my old “friend books” (did you guys have them while growing up? Books that you collected information from your friends? I loved them and I was writing a lot on my own lol.) and I FUCKING KNEW IT!!! :D In my second one it says “Favorite band: Apulanta”!!! :DDD I even had “Titanic” there at first but I have struck it out and written Apulanta next to it! There’s no year for this but based on all the other things I have written here and also my handwriting, I’m sure this was written when I was 8-9 years old. Okay I’m sure this is from 1999. I have written here that “I’m interested in: arts, dinosaurs and Pokemons.” And my biggest wish was to get an own horse(???) and dogs and cats.

OMG even my mom has written Apulanta here as her favorite band whaaaaat :D:D:D:D:D And the song she has marked as her favorite was released in 1997, and then her favorite TV show... yup, definitely when I was 8-9 years old.

And I see. I have written also about some plushies I bought and I have marked “2000″ as their birth years which means I was 9 (that year), my handwriting looks the same as with the other things too.

So yeah, this is actually very very interesting imho :D I’m somehow really interested in people’s music taste and how it develops and how something we hear or listen to at a very early age can have a permanent influence on our later music taste. And I bet that for me Apulanta is really the base of it all. Of course not the only one since music has always been very important in my family and in my childhood home I was always hearing only so called “good music”. My dad made sure of that as someone who grew up his teenage years in the 70s. And my mom was into punk as she’s a few years younger than him. But I just remember hating all the musical numbers on Disney movies, and I loved the Lion King score from the very beginning. (I still remember being 4-5 years old and sitting on a living room table [...] watching the movie from a VHS and the end fighting scene was on.)

But I guess I started to develop some sort of understanding of music when I started school. I don’t remember really understanding music. I don’t remember if I was listening to Apulanta ever, I just remember watching the VHS we had (well my dad still has it, we’re gonna watch that some day soooo, nostalgy, here I come!!!) and we were so into that video. I was watching it over and over again because I can still remember the earlier music videos whenever I see them. I can remember the interviews as well, not what they say there, but that I definitely have been watching them. But I don’t remember if I ever asked my dad to put a cd on a player for me or if I even understood that. It’s possible that I did not really comprehend and wanted to watch the VHS instead because I loved watching music videos so much.

Anyway, somehow I have been into the band tho because I knew the names of the guys and I knew who was which, I knew names of some songs, the cd covers are very familiar for me as well from my childhood. I even got a cd (that was released in 2002) for my 11th or 12th birthday from my cousin who was also very much into Apulanta, but I remember being already bit over that band and I did not like them so much anymore. I still remember the feeling of having the cd and it made me feel bit bad because I was no longer into them? I’m not sure if I had the cd on my shelf anyway but I just remember giving it to my dad at some point (it’s still in his shelf but in theory it’s still mine :D) when I no longer was listening to AL at all. Here my music taste started to evolve and change again a lot but I was still into only alternative rock and bit of punk too. There was also a small Shakira phase, I’m sure she’s the reason I still like music with slight latino vibes :D (And there was also other female artists like Avril Lavigne - her first album was just released, or t.A.T.u., this girl duo from Russia, but these were very short-lived.) I’m sure I still love music with punk roots only because that’s what Apulanta is too and it just is where I have always started off (let’s forget the phase with those female artists okay? I was trying to grow up as a teenage girl but it failed lol. (I’m nonbinary.)) and even when I haven’t know it, I still always tended to look for music that might remind me of their sound, even tho their sound has always been quite unique. Which is probably why I love bands with UNIQUE sound too. I feel like I’ve always been tied to punk-styled music with a rubber band because no matter how often I’d try out something else, I’ll always go back to that sooner or later :D Or find more bands with that type of sound, not abandoning the others but definitely feeling more like home when I hear that faster music again and music that has a lot going on at once.

I started listening to Apulanta again when I had turned 18. I felt nostalgic and I wanted to know if the songs were still as good as they were back in the day (yes they were). I wanted to find the songs that I knew I loved so much. The music videos that I remember watching, and well I mainly liked the songs BECAUSE I was so into the music videos. That feeling when I finally found that one particular song and it’s music video that so confused me back then - the amount of nostalgy it caused!!! It’s still one of my favorite songs from them.

It’s so crazy to think that I saw this band live on Friday. 20 years after starting to like them for the first time, going through my teen years with pauses and weird paths that had different artists and bands along them but that all eventually led back to Apulanta and other bands with punk roots. I never thought I’d want to see AL live because I never really got over it when their old bassist left the band and because I thought their music was not so good anymore. Well, I still prefer the old stuff over the new stuff and I’m sometimes still bit sad that that bassist isn’t in the band anymore, but these also some really good songs on the newer albums. And I’m really happy that I went to the gig, I’m still so hyped. And I feel like all this has made me into a fan now. Crazy.

okay, I never quite understood how can I always have exactly the same amount of likes as posts on tumblr, anyhow, apparently I have written/shared and liked 969 posts so far and most probably there are quite a few that I am slightly ashamed of, but this is going to be my most pathetic post to date...well, I don’t often come here to moan...which is bullshit as I always come here to moan....xdxdxd :DDD Anyway, I’ve been using tinder as a distraction lately, I’ve only uploaded it on Tuesday night and I already got 3 superlikes, 22 matches and 9 messages, I can’t quite get the whole concept of it yet, I am just swiping left and right (mostly left though) as a proper idiot and all I can think of like ALL THE TIME....ah, well, this guy looks so cute on the pic, ah, this guy is so smart etc. but they’re not Kenny :( (How is Kenny? Where is he? I hope he is okay, I hope he’s found his happiness...) so yeah, this just seems to be so fucking hard and so unfair like I have been in love quite a few times, I have been crazy (head over heels) in love with people that I had to block on facebook for various reasons, in most cases, it was pure torture and I was very close to dying from it, but NEVER, not even once I had to worry so much!! There is just no way at all for me to figure out if he’s okay if he’s still alive :( and I just have to accept this and live with it somehow....:( 

so all these guys who have asked me out on tinder....how the heck can I explain how much anxiety I have over this....honestly, I haven’t been on a date since 2011 and I absolutely HATED dating all my life, but now all my friends seem to say I’ve got to do something to get over Kenny :( well wtf, what if I just don’t want to be doing anything about it....:( like yeah, I could never ever say no in my life so I always go like “yeah, sure, let’s meet up....” and then there’s me awaiting for tragedy...I am telling you guys, this is going to be horrible....well, I don’t really know what could be worse than a guy collapsing in the middle of the counting house, but this is soooo going to be worse than that...:(

okay, last thing....I tried phoning my parents on skype this morning to wish them happy easter...oh, fuck, I totally shouldn’t have done that....they shouted at me so hard....in fact, they just shouted so much that I had to hang up and dramatically sob on my bed for like an hour...it was because they are truly and very disappointed in me for restarting my meds....:( so I became a huge, fat failure and disappointment once again...:( I never told them that I restarted (both lofepramine and lyrica....:(), but they were still convinced as they could see it on my behaviour and that I look like a zombie all the time....:( well, okay, like everyone was very proud of me when I stopped my meds etc., well they don’t know....both depression and anxiety were absolutely unbearable without meds and there’s absolutely no chance I could have stayed in my job with that state of anxiousness and depression :( so I really didn’t have much choice. idk, do I like being on meds?....well, not really, I can’t drive as I am pretty much too dizzy, drowsy and nauseous all the time, lyrica apparently affects everything from memory/concentration/spelling to bones, kidneys etc., it is a very fucking dangerous drug and I can only hear horror stories about it, but what the fuck can I do? I can’t see my consultant until 25 May (that was the earliest appointment) well, I just have to stay on lyrica as there’s no chance of me going into work with the severity of my anxiety and panic attacks off lyrica....:( anyhow, the worst fucking thing is imagine you have cancer and someone (in this case your parents) starts shouting at you/ making you feel like utter crap, a little piece of shite for taking chemo, well, there’s not really anything fucking worse than that////aw, just fuck all of it, just fuck this shitty life....:(

Dynamite Seokjin thoughts

soooo as you know bts cb happened and I just want to get my thoughts out of my system so here goes my pressed ass: (my thoughts are a mess and so will this post be)

y’know that I was already annoyed to begin with. bts is so overhyped in my opinion which prob is caused that sometimes only bts is known around me and... i don’t like mainstream :’) and bc while they make super good music armys “only bts” agenda is not to my multistan liking.... so I apologize for being such an ass. and i still don’t know if i should be sad that I deleted most bts songs from my playlist bc imo their songs are so good hahaha

anyways: the cb came and I watched it 2h after release with my friends who are v and jk biased. tbh bc of my pettiness I didn’t watch the teasers and didn’t believe in their retro/newtro concept - altho we all know how much of a sucker I am for retro and 70s (yeah I was THAT pressed and annoyed and feel sorry).

So this def got me in the mv, also jk’s scene was SO SOOO good like... his room, the posters, his style and DID I MENTION HIS STYLE, HAIR AND VISUALS? (y’all know how hard that is for me to say but can’t deny that he’s cool ksksksks) also as usual I really vibed with hobi and rm and tae wrecked me, so I was happy for that hasn’t changed :D

in the end instead of being happy and enjoying the mv and the upbeat song... i was sad. jin didn’t have a solo scene and barely lines....again. i was so happy to see him in center position tho but no solo scene kind of fucked me up (also bc YES i love the retro concept and i was so curious what scenery he’d get - i mean barista jin come on XD). so yeah i was just mad at this point and my friends were happily vibing bc their biases fucking SLAYED (i mean THAT GREEN SUIT AHHHHHHHHHH) and then u had me who was emo. boi it was embarrassing :((( i am not proud of myself and mad at myself for ruining it for them bc the mv was so cool T.T

so yeah that bothered me and I was like “y’know what fuck bts I just.... UGH” and ignored everything pretty much (yeah I muted my twt armys even tho we’re irl friends.... that’s so sad v.v). 

today I had a change of mind tho: i checked the twt trends and was like “oh the remixes are up” (side note: yesterday elfs were so smug about kyuhyun claiming genie’s top 1 spot in the charts and i was so evil happy and BOI that it NOT HEALTHY AT ALL) so anyways it was trending and when i scrolled down i found that “BTS is 7″ is also trending. apparently seokjin was cut out from the edm remix (hobi too?) and seeing ppl being pressed and mad at bighit somehoe hit me (hahaha). I listened to the edm remix and.... boi the beat is GOOD and actually to my liking (bc yes dynamite is a bit too soft for me to hear often and like from the first listen). and to my suprise I didn’t search the song for seokjin or anything.. i was just VIBING and enjoying it SO SO much - it didn’t matter that he was not in the song :DDD bc the song is just that good and i want to listen to it :D (ironically I was into bts actually bc of their music and not through variety shows or looks like suju or my other bands hahahha)

then I thought about how seokjin is not in some bts stuf... just the same as heechul. I know heechul’s reasons (now) and understand that and ofc i am sad to not see him with suju.. i still accept it and still like suju and their music. regardless whether heechul is in the song (i mean i LOVE 2YA2YAO so much and boi doesn’t even have a single line!)

so maybe i should treat it the same way for seokjin. instead of being emo that he’s not as often seen as other members and has fewer opportunities and whatnot.... i still love him and bts still makes good music (I mean let’s be real from the voices rm and v do it for me not jin o.O) - y’know the other members are still amazing af and i can appreciate all 7 by now (big achievement for me here) - it’s ANNOYING to be a pressed solo stan... which i unfortunately turned one :(

my conclusion was shorter than expected but yeah... i should be happy for the jin content I get and also still enjoy the bts stuff (i mean ffs he’ll go to the military soon so I will have quite a few cb’s without his wonderful face anyway) and as I said I should be used to having a bias who’s not with his group rn.

seeing heechul and suju’s manager on omniscient manager did that for me. even the manager didn’t seen him and heechul wasn’t with his members for half a year!!!! that sounds so unbelievable but it’s the sad truth. life evolves and teh industry is shit (obv) - so why did I think that bts would be different? bighit is as greedy and money-orientated as sm. so why am I only mad at bighit and not sm? bc I just accepted it with sm and focus on the positives instead of how often they “mistreated” sb. 

i should be happy for seokjin to be with bts and see him and being all smiles bc i now know how much it hurts when ur fav just... vanishes. and also bc of all the hate petals got after the dating news from every side together with the suju antis (who ofc are often armys) i saw some ugly sides of kpop. and let my opinions be based on what i saw on the internet instead of real people (side effect of the lockdown bc i know my irl army friends are not like that ..but i made them like that in my head which is AWFUL AF!!). so yeah just bc I am a sad emo stan bc my biases are having hard times.... i should cherish the others hyping theirs even more and also cherish the moments i get - bc they still are there!! i mean CENTER JIN IN DYNAMITE!!!! that’s also not smth a seokjin stan like me is used to XD and its the same as HEECHUL WAS SEEN FOR 2S IN THE 2YA2YAO MV XD 

so yeah big apology here to everyone and esp armys and my friends. I know I’m annoying and u were such a support but i was just... pressed... i hope u can forgive me
