-he’s so used to teasing and flirting with you in private so it’s a little hard to shake off in public

-anyways fans notice he’s looking at you a little too lovingly and being a little too genuine when he responded so it’s not long before you see ship edits on Twitter and tik tok

-doesn’t help when you answer the ideal type question with “someone who is playful and funny” thinking it was broad enough but ‘twas not <3

-he doesn’t really care too much but thought it was funny, even if he had to take a media training class again afterwards >:T

since we got a couple of asks about this i'm just going to answer them together :-) it's been a hot second since we've talked about our writing process and since we have a few chapters now and are no longer at risk for spoiling Everything in one fell swoop, attached are chapters 1-5 from our official outline document! this is the one we use to actually navigate and reference for the fic as we write, but we've had two or three versions before this where we did the majority of the actual planning/going back on forth on scene ideas. those got really difficult to navigate after a while, so we cut out a lot of the commentary (we are hilarious. #trust) and fluff and made this one pretty bare-bones, but we have the entire fic planned out this way and have had it planned out before any of it was ever written! it definitely helps with continuity, because other than some minor changes to the dates and stuff (we realized at one point that like three chapters all occurred within the span of one week lol) and some retconning to some vestigial scenes from our original fic concept - which was very different in some aspects when we first thought of it back in january - we've stayed pretty consistent to this outline while writing. we also have a million other documents as well - playlist organization, an entire document we used to plan out titles lol, a google slides presentation breaking down the timeline, etc etc. thea and andi are much better outliners than i am because i rarely do it for my own fics but this process might have converted me fr. to some extent. anyways! enjoy snooping! or don't. lol. hope you like my commentary xoxo

(side note: chapter 5 probably had the most retconning of the chapters so far - the closet scene was one of the first ones we thought of for the fic and therefore heavily relied on how we originally imagined their dynamic to play out, which was really really different than how we ended up writing them! needless to say i definitely struggled with it lol. but it worked out fine. i think.)

I think about this every day, and I have so many thoughts about this, you don’t even know. I’ve actually considered making like fake text messages/instagram profiles for Eren and Levi before because I’m obsessed with it BUT! I know that @erencore has some and you should check them out if you haven’t 😌

Eren either saves you as your entire government name, or like My Little Honeybunch Sugarplum Venti Iced Mocha Latte with Caramel Brulee Sprinkles loml ✨💘 He texts you about anything and everything, no matter how strange, random, or mundane it is. He’s the kind of guy to be like, “haha i’m taking a shit rn but i want you to know that i love uuuu🥺🥺🥺” King of unprompted FaceTimes. He’ll FaceTime for a simple thing that could have been resolved over texts, but he just likes bothering you; and claims it’s easier to press one button for FaceTime than to type out a whole message. 

Mikasa saves your name with your last name as Ackerman, and is kind of shy about it (she wouldn’t tell you she did it), but it makes her really happy whenever she sees a message from you. She’s a pretty normal texter, and she uses the replies/reactions buttons on iMessage a lot because she feels awkward typing out “hahahah.” She gets really happy when you text her things and say that it reminded you of her. Lowkey takes screenshots of cute and/or funny conversations you’ve had to look back on them later. Precious girl, best girl. 

Contrary to popular belief, I think Levi would be a pretty decent texter, at least in terms of how/when he replies. He’s pretty good at communication, so he makes an effort to respond to you whenever he sees your messages; especially if he thinks it might be urgent. Gets upset when you only show your eyebrows on FaceTime (“It’s called FaceTime, not Forehead Time. Where is the rest of your face.”) He also calls a lot, but those are pretty regularly scheduled. He likes hearing your voice. 

Erwin sends the MeMojis at any given opportunity, and he’s lucky his is decently cute. He also sends a lot of audio messages, and when he does text, he uses regular/proper punctuation and it can be kind of scary LMAO. He loves sending videos, gets surprised by the automatic confetti things when you type things like “congrats.” He’ll text you asking about the same thing a few times because he forgot what you responded with and you’re like “Erwin, you know you can just scroll up, and see what I said right?” and he’s like “.... I did not. Thank you for letting me know.” 

Jean has your name saved with a heart at the end, but he never says your name when he’s texting you. It’s always some obscure nickname. You text him “Hey” and he responds like “What’s up little snail 🤩” and you’re like god, you’re lucky you’re cute. Begs you to send him pictures of you, and is constantly in your Snap messages, like he doesn’t already have your number. He triple texts with no shame. Gets pouty if you don’t text him or call him at the end of the day and is so mf dramatic about it. “I am but a poor farm boy waiting for his lover to come back from a long day collecting firewood in the fields, but alas, it seems that she has forgotten about her lovelorn mate 😖😖” and you’re like “Jean, I was taking a test 🙄 I’ll call you when I get home, bye” 

You wanna talk about a really shameless triple texter, though, then that’s Sasha and Hange. They will both blow up your phone all day every day over the stupidest little things, but they’re both so damn excitable and cute, you can’t be angry with them about it. Hange uses SO many emojis, and Sasha is so quick to reply and responds so enthusiastically to anything you send her. Fanastic, 10/10 for both of them. 

Armin begs you to send him pictures of you regardless of what you’re doing. Not dirty ones, just of you doing whatever you’re doing. You could tell him you’re in the library studying and he’s like “send a pic, I bet you look cute 🥺” He saves every last one of them. Types with an all lowercase aesthetic. Sends you links to things he finds cute and/or interesting all the time--whether it be cool news about something he’s studying, or something cute he saw on Instagram. 

Connie texts you random things he’s suddenly remembered in the middle of the day like “remember when you didn’t know that bacon came from pigs lololol” and you’re like Connie it’s 3:23pm on a Tuesday, why must you remind me of that. Sends you memes and 10 TikToks back to back at 4 in the morning, and gets upset when you don’t watch them all by the time he’s woken up. Makes memes out of screenshots from Snaps you’ve sent him and sends them to you whenever he feels like he’s losing an argument.

Uuuu, there's a few red flags that make me stay away- but I only recognize them because I'm rping for a while now, but let me list the ones that come to mind rn:

1. People that take fiction too seriously

I know, I know, there's a huge drama and discussion about that probably somewhere on twitter about this the moment we speak, and honestly, I hate it.

I think it's important to keep your morals in mind when consuming any media, and act responsibility irl, but I also think that's... common sense?

People who have rules like "DNI if you disagree with fiction does equal reality" need to get their brains checked imo, like- Sou is a good example. He's from a death game, and I LOVE yttd, but does that mean I would find it cool if a death game like that would happen irl? - No, absolutely not, and any person with a brain would know that... Those are the same people who mostly also are involved with my next point:

2. A lot of callout posts on their blogs

If not speaking about someone genuinely dangerous, I find callout culture so stupid. A lot of things should be discussed and handled in private, not everyone in the world has to know what the deal with the person is that didn't act the way you wished they did.

Don't get me wrong, callouts could be a good thing, if used correctly- However, in my experience it's mostly some childish drama in order to shame on someone for making a mistake- in public.

Speaking of canceling- isn't it human to fuck up sometimes? Why do we need to openly cancel someone and never give them even the chance to fix things? Anyway, I digress-

I don't really want to follow negativity, I'm rping because I wanna escape from my problems, and not because I want to add more to my plate!!

3. People that have more dni rules than actually rp info on their blog

Seriously, it's fine if you have your favorite ships and hc's but demonizing people with different views and tastes, or even saying how quickly you block others, makes me also avoid your blogs. Don't feel like walking on eggshells- bye!

Hmmmm.... My advice? Keep practicing. Practice is always a technique to improvement. I actually keep practicing and look for references. I am still a beginner of everything as I see for myself. Hehe
