So I started playing a bit of the Decepticons game (I got it yesterday, apparently it was only like $8)

I am god awful at driving in this game, I can’t even keep a straight line. Those other drivers have to assume I am wasted as hell while seeing this

I’m also only like, 10 minutes into the game (and I have to stop because I’ve got class), but I’m getting the understanding that I am Starscream’s little guy. Hell yeah

Okey, so. Entertaining the thought: An introverted feral kid and a girl who gets a sort of high off adrenaline; but was taught to be polite and proper. You know, all that perfect girl stuff. We would also consider how her empathy level is questionable, based on how she just casually suggested cutting off his arm when it got stuck. (Still not sure if immediately being excited seeing swords is just amazement or 'OOH How convenient!') So perhaps she would learn to understand empathy in a practical (not sure if that's the word I'm looking for) way rather than in an emotional way.

Thankfully she was coaxed out of her shell and she had outlet early on. Also, to have genuinely learned friendship power! 😊

But what if she never got that outlet. 🤔 I mean, she could have gotten out of her shell in a different way. But, like. Imagine if she had to bottle it up all these years. It could go south or she'll be able to manage it because it ain't as bad. Just fun to think about the former.

She would be like: This thing I'm reading is SO morbidly interesting! I wonder what it feels like in a personal level though? Could I do it? Could I do it better now that I have the knowledge of foresight? But what if I still mess up? I can't have a negative record! And the curiosity and the adrenaline just mixes up together. Lol

Haha I'm not really seriously headcanoning that is exactly what's gonna happen. I mean at least not to an intense extent. It's so fun to think about.

Genuienly I can't get behind all the Squid Game promotion stuff Netflix does. It's kinda gross to me. All the Squid Game events in different cities where you get to play the games and people go around taking pictures with the pink guards and idk posing sexually or calling them 'daddy' and don't even get me started on Squid Game The Challenge. Like no hate to the people taking part in this, they're just having fun but I just don't think this is cool. I don't think seeing kids costumes of players and pink guards is cool. I don't think recreating a show in real live and taking out the bad parts, the parts that are there to send a message is cool and fun. I know a lot of shows have serious themes and I'm not against fandom for Squid Game at all and I also think having fun with the show in fandom without always bringing up its serious messages is totally okay (I do that too) and I also think that Netflix can of course promote a very popular show. But I think once it gets to a point where Netflix makes it silly and cutesy is when it has to stop. Netflix going around different citys and putting up the Red Light, Green Light doll and having random people on the street play the game is just... For what? For promotion? For money?? Of course it's for money but I think it's kind of so gross. Nothing else is irl promoted as much as Squid Game is. I don't see nearly as many events for Bridgerton or Stranger Things. But Netflix RECREATED this show about Horrible Things happening to people, who don't know how to help themselves anymore stuck in a system that is actively working Against them, with real live people stuck in similar situations. For Entertainment. And you know who gets the most money out of it?? Netflix!! A show about poor people taking huge risks to get a better and livable life and in the end Netflix is still the one making all of this money off of it. And they're squeezing every last bit they can out of this show. And it's so disgusting to me. Again I'm not blaming people who take part in this, who go to those events. I just think Netflix shouldn't be making these events in the first place

Love the thought of Leo just casually being well traveled to absurd degrees. Like one day they’re facing their new Big Bad of the year and like, Draxum or whoever says that the key to their fight is located somewhere in, like, Latvia or some place, but no one knows where to start.

Then Leo’s like “oh I know a place” and when asked how the heck he could know of one it smash cuts to Leo falling through the ceiling of said place due to a portal mishap.

Also love the idea of Leo, being as accidentally (and then later, purposefully) well traveled as he is, sometimes taking his family on outings to different places all over, maybe to some new Yokai spots he found along the way.

In these places, Leo 100% lets his bros get scammed by tourist traps.

you guys like me going off on random DA tangents and musings, right?? because I've been awake too long so you're getting another one

I have been sat here trying to figure out Why Lucanis' prison looks like a bunch of ice and why it was so far away from the "lab" settings for a while now. (arguably two rooms fit this description, the one where Lucanis tells you about Zara and the one right outside his phylactery room) Like, even without that bridge being broken, it's in such a bizarre corner of the Ossuary. And I mean, it wouldn't really matter with a normal prisoner, but Lucanis was a notorious Crow and mage killer on top of that, plus he was Zara's special little guy to fuck with. You would not want to take him for a long walk to experience the worst shit on earth every few days. Maybe it's close enough to the little room where he mentions Zara and maybe she wanted him close to the door so she didn't have to go far to torture him, but again, leaving such a challenging subject close to the exit seems like a bad choice. You want him to have to get through so many guys and doors before escaping so you have time to take him down.

This also ignores the magic required to leave, but they're not clear on what that is and not all the Venatori are mages so there's gotta be a mundane way out he could snatch off a guard. I digress, the whole ice cage and far off room doesn't make sense. But we know they were shipping demons to Zara. (I'm pretty sure the few demons you confront in Minrathous were Zara's little pets set loose so we can assume she wanted them in the capital for the eventual Venatori coup on the crown) If Zara was about to be stuck in Minrathous for the foreseeable future, setting things into motion for Elgar'nan, I could see her wanting her pet Crow at her side. Especially if you consider the initial idea for Lucanis: he was going to be a mind controlled murder puppet before you break him out.

Sure, Spite didn't crack open his ribcage and crawl out like some new horror, but having a demon in Lucanis lets her control him via the phylactery if not just outright with her blood magic. Maybe his will was too strong for mundane control, but the phylactery works. We know it works based off of Lucanis' dialogue about it. So we know she had a surefire way to keep him under control. (There's a whole other post exploring the amount of dead Venatori and the fact that Lucanis still has his leathers and weapons [which would make sense if he was Zara's murder puppet, but alas] and whether Lucanis recently made a break for it or if the loose demons/spirits/undead killed them all) Maybe he kept his leathers because Zara wanted him presentable upon delivery, I don't know.

But I do think he was being prepped to move. The Ossuary is falling apart, Zara is pulling all the best results, they're losing personnel and servants without being given more; Zara was clearly moving on from that location. But she wanted her little Antivan prize. He's too dangerous to move normally, a Crow is likely to escape if given an inch especially a skilled one like Lucanis, so they need to lock him down somehow. Ropes and chains aren't reliable, not with a Crow, but he's not a mage. You can use magic. You can literally put him on ice. I think they were packaging him up in an ice cube and doing it next(ish) to the door so they could more easily move him. I think Zara was going to take him and his phylactery to Minrathous and use him to cause some absolutely ruthless mayhem in the city before her cult took it over.

I think Rook showing up weakened the spell being cast just enough for Lucanis and Spite to break out, and I think it saved a whole lot of lives.

I think motorcycle Transformers are cool and I want more of them, but I also don’t like when they make female Transformers motorcycles as like, an excuse as to why they’re smaller and slimmer than the male characters. Not that a female bot can’t be a motorcycle, it’s just that it feels like that scenario happens too often with motorcycle bots

I think the solution is that we need more male motorcycle Transformers. The only ones I know of are TFA Prowl and Thrash, let’s expand that list a bit more

Lord of the City

“Courage, Scamandrius,” came the whisper soft as a moan, alongside the figure of his father, and the fearsome armor that was flashing.

Little Scamandrius only recoiled—just a little. He was still frightened by the sight of his father’s figure, just as before.

For shuddering was the crest that crowned the bronze helmet with crimson horsehair, as his father so often walked, making clamor the ground that was still held fast, making tremble the heart of many strangers in arms, and now making recoil the little lord of the city, cringing fearfully in his nurse’s arms.

“He’s scared of your armor,” Andromache explained.

Hector held his gaze on the boy—the joy of his heart, who was now watching him in fear with that pair of innocent pupils of molten gold, radiant as stars. Hector let out a chuckle, and his dear wife smiled as well.

Little Scamandrius doesn’t know what it means yet—and may gods bless him that he never needs to find out. whispering a prayer under his breath, Hector took off the helmet swiftly, quick as a shooting star.

“See? There’s nothing to be afraid of,” he murmured gently to the boy still watching him—less frightened, less alarmed, for the familiar face was now smiling at Scamandrius, as if promising him that everything would be fine. Hector reached out his arms, and Scamandrius didn’t flinch—not even a little.

For he knew he was in good hands now. With his father holding fast, he would always be safe.

And nothing would break the walls of love that held his family tight.

Scamandrius giggled as he felt his father’s kiss. The touch of his father’s dark beard felt so itchy, but Scamandrius loved the feeling—it was something he could only feel when his father was around, when his father was happy.

The winds were singing, and he felt the lift of the air. Scamandrius knew that his father was tossing him, just as before, just as he would do again.

And Scamandrius didn’t cry—not even a little. For he knew his father would always catch him, just as he did before, just as he would do again.

So he fell, happily, freely. He felt the songs of the winds, and knew that his father was happy.

Flashing were the rays of the sun, as the light of the molten gold hid itself in the dead of night; rising up were the walls of Troy, as it held tight many a family inside; passing by were the Scaean Gates, as the swift winds roared past the vast plains of Troad, raging round the city for three whole times.

And Astyanax is again falling, blithely, freely.

This time, nobody catches him.

So, sometimes while playing botw/totk, I like to take out my horses and do long journeys across Hyrule, to take a break from fast travelling and completing quests.

Since I just got a new horse way down south (her name's Urania!), it seemed like the perfect excuse to take the long way to Link's house. Usually I map out the way before hand, so I know which route to take, and what stables/towns we are stopping at. Because I wanna feel like Aragorn I suppose.

This was the completed route, starting in Highland Stable, Faron, towards Link's House in Akkala:

It took us about 2.5 days to make the journey, with 3 stable stops in Dueling Peaks, Woodlands, and finally Foothill, with a short stop in Kakariko Village to get some supplies and food.

I realise now I could've continued north towards Riverside Stable, instead of east Dueling Peaks but. Oh well. It was a very pleasant trip either way!

So, we took off from Highland Stable and headed east, around Lake Hylia. Crossing the Hylia bridge would be easier, but there's a fire gleeok there and I'm very scared 😌💙

It wasn't easy to cross Farosh hills on horse, but we made it! Took us a day's worth.

(I forgot the Big Twin bridge wasn't in use, so I did try my best to find a different way for Urania to cross, but no deal. I had to cheat a little and use the stable boarding function 🥺)

Then next day we took off early and stopped by Kakariko to buy some more arrows for me and carrots for the horsie 🥹🥕

Left the village by 9:30, passed by Wetland stable, and continued north to Woodland stable.

We spent the night, and I left Urania there while I took care of some nearby affairs (aka a shrine and a couple other things). She behaved super well so I mafe sure to give her some extra apples before we took off again 🥹

We only had a few hours of daylight left, so we only went around Trilby Valley, and stopped at Foothill for the night (horse girlie needs to rest and also I didn't wanna be arsed with all the stalkoblins and such 🙃).

Next morning we left early once again, and after some very annoying storms and rain, we at last reached home 🥹💙

It was Urania's first journey EVER, and she did wonderfully 🥹💙🐎

I was bored and looking for fanfics to read, and I stumble across one (mind you, it’s supposed to be a crack fic) where they pose the idea of g1 Starscream secretly being a megop kid

And now I can’t unsee it

I mean, he is red, blue and light grey like a combo of them, and he also at least gives me the impression that he’s a lot younger than them

And also looking at the three of them, I kind of see it

The things that don’t look similar are just jet things, which neither of them are. And yeah, him being a jet would be a detractor from this idea, but who knows, maybe alt modes aren’t genetic in this hypothetical scenario

Also another thing the fic brought up is that Megatron never just kills Starscream despite his constant treachery. I think that’s different by the movie, but whatever

I know it’s stupid and I don’t really believe it, and this would only be specifically in g1 (because god knows it doesn’t work in other continuities), but now it’s in my brain and I need other people to know about it
