A long hunt, wearing both Sam and Dean out to their cores. They're weak, their muscles trembling at any movement. They clamber into the bunker, all but quietly. Mary rushes out from whatever nook she was in, bolting up the stairs to meet her boys where they stand covered in blood -- Theirs or something else's, Mary wasn't sure.

"Boys," She says sadly, embracing both of them in her arms. She kisses each of them on the forehead, then their cheeks, noses, finally landing on their lips. The boys melt, relief washing over every sore muscle, every stressed thought. Dean sighs and places his head on Mary's shoulder.

She guides them down the stairs slowly, down halls, finally into her room, where she places them on her bed. She removes their clothes, as they're caked with blood and dirt and God knows what else.

She retrieves a washcloth, wetting it in the bathroom sink with hot water. It drips water onto the floor as she walks back to her boys.

She washes them, gentle around bruises and cuts which is practically their entire body.

"Mommy," She hears Sam cry out as she cleans gashes on Dean's arm.

"Yes, dear?" Soft, honey-like words. Nothing has ever sounded better to either Winchester boy.

"I love you."

"And me, I love you too," Dean says, eyes darting away from his mother.

"I love you too, boys."

Remember the Magic

The Winchester bros finally go on vacation.

First, they had to decide which park they were going to.

Sam wanted Disneyland, debating that it was O.G. Disney and not too large to get overwhelmed. Dean wanted Disney World because it was large, more things to do, and they had never been to Florida. Plus Dean wanted to see if they had the time and money to go to Hollywood Studios. In the end, they compromised: Disney World, but they had to go to Magic Kingdom.

It was one of those distinct memories that Dean carried with him his whole life, one that struck such a chord as a child that it burned into the back of his mind and never faded:

Dean asked, on behalf of himself and Sam, if they could go to Disneyland. John paused, like Dean’s words were foreign, then promptly laughed in his face. Dean didn’t know if their father meant to be cruel about it at the time. He thought it would have been easy to do since they were in nearby Corona for a ‘job’. Dean was only ten, and John’s sharp bolt of laughter never wore off throughout the decades.

Ok, but what if Derek was a prince and his mom or sister or whoever kept trying to get him to meet women that he could marry but none of them seem to fit because of course Derek is a die hard romantic. But at one of the balls or parties that the kingdom throws he meets Stiles who is a worker/cook/gardener and he finds himself obsessed with the sassy, maybe even openly bi Stiles who is constantly flailing and talking and he is just so beautiful when he talks about what interests him. So pretty much Prince Derek who is in love with Stiles and sneaks off to meet him whenever he can.
