My interests are so vague and cringe but someone has to draw them! Anyways, SAW as Warrior Cats AU.

I have no idea how this AU works with the traps and all that but have these headcanons regardless!

AppleBelly (Adam) - (I thought the name was really cute!) He used to be a loner then joined Shadowclan where he was known for his sneaky stealth. Eventually switched to Thunderclan and is often using his keen eyesight for patrols when he's not visiting ShiningStep in the medicine den. Has a small limp due to a bite wound on his right shoulder.

ShiningStep (Lawrence) - Originally a soft and spoiled kittypet, he is now the medicine cat of Thunderclan. He occasionally sneaks off to his old house to visit his only kit, Diana. He’s not sure if he would want her to join clan life. At least AppleBelly keeps him company in the lonely medicine den.

BloodJaw (Amanda) - Mysterious so-called loner who visits other clans, especially Riverclan and Thunderclan. Is actually part of Bloodclan led by BoarStar (John) who brought her in after years as a true loner. Catnaps LakeBlossom (somehow) to help heal BoarStar and accidentally falls in love oops.

LakeBlossom (Lynn) - Riverclan medicine cat. Was mates with Slatefoot (Jeff) and had two kits, Ravenkit (Corbette) and Creekpaw (Dylan) (medicine cats can have kits in this AU because I said so). Creekpaw was the apprentice of MinkLeap (Timothy) but was hit by a car and died only a few days after being apprenticed. 

WolfShadow (Mark) - Deputy of Thunderclan and a ruthless warrior. His sister died after getting tangled up with a rogue tomcat causing him to despise outsiders. Is part of Bloodclan and in line for the leadership role along with BloodJaw. Always keeping an eye on StoneFrost as he gets closer to discovering his second life. Part of him wants to leave BloodClan once BoarStar dies so he can stop running in circles.

StoneFrost (Peter) - Deputy of Riverclan and is constantly butting heads with WolfShadow as he searches for the mystery kitty killer of the clans. Got in a scuffle with WolfShadow that nearly ended with him bleeding out and drowning. Luckily, he was found by humans and fixed up; unfortunately, when he returned to the clan months later, his spot as deputy had been replaced. Suddenly, becoming a Thunderclan cat doesn’t sound too bad…

The Cats of ThunderClan (BP) - Pinestar

A large reddish-brown tabby tom with large paws, thick stripes and green eyes with a torn right ear. His muzzle is steadily turning silver before his time and some cats think he looks like one stiff breeze will knock him over. His coat is thick and long; though he tries to keep it neat, the recent events that’ve happened in his life have made him miserable and he’s begun to struggle with caring for himself.

Pinestar had a rather rough start to life being born during the second famine of ThunderClan. It was a lesser famine - lighter than the one from Doestar’s time - but his father’s xenophobia had resulted in the collapsing relationship between the Sun and ThunderClan. As a result, his mother often ate very little; passing around a single bite so that every cat could eat. His brother and sister - Birchpaw and Rowan - struggled alongside him through the difficult times that Oakstar wrought for them.

Pinestar feels a cocktail of negative emotions towards his father. It was an open secret back when he was growing up that his birth mother was pressured into the relationship that resulted in him by Oakstar. Though Sweetbriar and Cloudshine were on reasonably good terms, Oakstar’s blatant favoritism towards him over his half-sister Rowan caused tension between the three of them as Birchpaw was forced to mediate. When Cloudshine died, Sweetbriar took in all three of them as her own bringing that part of their family closer together.

Paws down, the roughest days of his life were when he was elected deputy in the stead of his deceased brother and he leaned heavily on his sister and his mate, Nightsabre. His father’s descent into true madness put a lot of stress on him - though Oakstar was still leader, Pineheart had felt that he was the only thing holding his clan together. The exile and subsequent rampage from Mapleshade was the final straw in an already wavering resolve he had. He teamed up with the rest of the clan, forcing his father to step down from the mantle of leader - ignoring the frustration of Oakstar choosing to keep his remaining 3 lives - and very early took on the title as leader.

Within the first two moons of his new position, he ran himself ragged de-escalating the situation with RiverClan, repairing the relationship with the Shining Sun and taking potential war off the debating table. Suffering through all the stress of putting out his father’s fires on top of barely taking care of himself it was to no one’s surprise that he eventually lost two lives in rapid succession of each other - one to starvation and the next to greencough at the same time their precious first litter was lost to the illness.

Pinestar has now recently hit his stride with leadership; it’s hard and sometimes thankless but it’s for his clan. After the lost of their most recent potential kit in Mayhawkit, Pinestar and Nightsabre have both agreed to wait for a later date before they try having another litter.

Story:

“I don’t want you wasting your herbs on me,” Sagekit remembered her mother telling the medicine cat, Thornfern, when she had been deathly ill. She didn’t know why the memory stuck with her so strongly and more clearly than anything else, it just did. 

She was still a kit when her mother passed. Old enough to remember her, young enough to forget about her grief after the next moon, a time she also spent travelling to the medicine den more and more. Thornfern was irritated at first, thinking she was a foolish kit bent on gobbling his herbs. But she would only sit quietly and stare at them, as if studying them. 

Initially when he had patients, he would shoo her, gently, out of the den. Then he realized her curiosity wasn’t a phase, and let her watch what he did, so long as she didn’t disturb anything or anyone. 

Sure enough, just as he suspected, Sagepaw became his apprentice as soon as she reached six moons. Thornfern was delighted to finally have one. He wasn’t going to retire anytime soon, but it was well past time he got a student to pass on all he knew.

Sagepaw was a brilliant apprentice. She was unfazed by Thornfern’s tendency to grumble, was kind to the patients but knew not to promise them uncertain comfort, and would always get the right herb before he even finished asking for it. After all, she did spend a long time observing him as a kit. 

As interested in herbs as the kit had been, there were two other, stronger reasons that she had visited the den so often. One was to remember her mother, the other was to avoid her brother. 

She wasn’t sure what Applekit’s problem with her had been, they got along well as young kits, but now he always took the time to tease her. He was double her size, if she fought him, he would surely win. If she ignored him--which she tried to do, as her father advised--he would keep jabbing and jabbing at her until he struck too deep a nerve. 

They ignored each other more now, but still Applepaw, and later young Applebelly, would occasionally make sure to ruin his sister’s day.

Maybe he should have been kinder, but when so many other gentle hearted warriors died, does it really make a difference? He was Sageleaf’s fourth victim-- not a word she herself would use. 

He had been injured in battle and received an ugly infection. With Thornfern in the elder’s den, his sister was his only hope of recovery. And she would help him, surely? She was a medicine cat, it was her duty. And they were littermates. But he only ever felt himself getting worse. Then one day, his last one, he saw them. The berries being munched into his poultice. Blueberries. Even he knew that they were useless.

Sageleaf wouldn’t be afraid of admitting her satisfaction at her dear brother’s demise. It didn’t matter. She knew how to asses a cat’s health, and if she assed them too sick or injured to make it with or without the help of herbs, why waste the medicine? Why not speed the process along? Well, maybe Applebelly’s injury wasn’t as bad as some survivors had been, but too late to save him now.

She wasn’t foolish enough to openly give them fake medicine, especially when someone else was around to observe. But with the medicine in a mushed-up poultice, it was easy to hide. And when one coughing queen hacked her guts, she only needed to point the deaf elder out of the den to prevent him from seeing her struggles.

Ill Thornfern could only cough a protest as he, too, realized what he was being fed. Perhaps speeding the process could be seen as mercy, or monstrous. Sageleaf wasn’t one to care.

She didn’t care for her apprentice, Lightpaw, either. She trained him, that was all she needed to do. She refrained from letting his sick mother die, though. She didn’t want a crying apprentice on her paws.

Moons passed. Relatively healthy patients would heal, the others were buried. Lightpaw earned his full name “Lighthawk,” after protecting some run-away kits from a hawk one night while the pair were on their way to the Moonpool. He had sheltered them with his long frame while his mentor fought the creature off.

More moons passed. Sageleaf ached. She now dreaded the trips to the Moonpool. She hated getting up for every patient. It wasn’t an idea she was fond of, but she finally had to admit that she was old. She retired, with the leader’s good wishes, and died peacefully after many moons of rest.

Additional information:

--Applebelly disliked his sister because he was jealous of how their father spent the most time with her.

He continued to bother her because he was jealous of her uniqueness as a medicine cat, furthering her father’s praise.

Deep down, Applebelly did still care for her, and was deeply shocked and hurt by his death. 

--Sageleaf caught greencough as an elder. Starclan warned Lighthawk against healing her, suggesting to instead give her fake herbs and let her join the afterlife. Lighthawk refused.

--Her mother’s death didn’t really cause Sageleaf’s motive, it just pushed the idea She likely would have done the same whether or not she survived.

--Lighthawk has an apprentice of his own: Brittlepaw.

--The brief mention of her pointing a deaf elder away so that they don’t notice the hacking queen is seen in the comic pages below.

--The comic pages are old af

The Leaders of ThunderClan: Pinestar

Name: Pinestar, Pine

Identity: Cisgender Tom - He/Him

Orientation: Heterosexual

A large reddish-brown tabby tom with large paws, thick stripes and green eyes with a torn right ear. Pinestar’s muzzle was scarred and there is a cut over his left eye. By the time he left the clans, his muzzle was completely silver.

Pinestar was the deputy to his father and witness to all of his crimes. Full of anxiety and a distinct lack of confidence, Pinestar took the reins as a leader with only six lives (due to Oakstar keeping his last three) in the middle of a famine on the brink of war with RiverClan and The Shining Sun Kingdom.

Panicked and heavily stressed, Pinestar's muzzle became streaked with silver within only two moons due to his desperate struggle to put out all the fires ignited by his father. He felt incredibly pressured by his clan to be damn near perfect as he knew he was on thin ice because of his father's actions. Pinestar made the strategic move to publicly denounce his connection to his father to further secure the loyalty of his clan.

While he struggled to bring things down, Pinestar lost two lives in quick succession of each other- one from starvation and another to greencough.

Leopardfoot was his only saving grace during this time. She advocated for him from the the start and believed in him when even he didn't. He fell in love with her and her stubborn belief in the goodness of ThunderClan and her work ethic.

When Mistkit and Nightkit died, he was devastated and relieved by the survival of his precious son Tigerkit. Goosefeather's vision about his son alarmed him and he consulted StarClan about it- he received nothing at the moonstone but the night after he dreamed of blood and wailing cats.

Overtime Pinestar came to realize that his clan thoroughly spoiled his son, allowing him to get away with many things that no one else would. Pinestar tried to discipline him and curb his most aggressive tendencies to no result. Leopardfoot would either undo any punishment he listed or get into an argument with him over it. He was harshly criticized by much of the clan for being so hard on his son and whispers of him being like his father recirculated.

Unable to take the stress any longer, Pinestar waited until he was down to one life and announced his retirement as leader, passing on the title to his deputy Sunfall. He further announced that he would be leaving the clans altogether as he could no longer handle the violence and strife their life brought him.

He walked away to jeers and insults with his head held high. He'd done all he could for ThunderClan- now it was time for them to live in the nest they'd made.
