Did a bunch of assorted doodles this week including a bit extra to the froggy saga from last week. The lucky frog has a name now so say hello to Raindrop! Also doodled up some stuff for Lumen, if there's merch for the others shouldn't the little guy have some of his own? A little light up plushie seems fitting for a nightlight bot.

Revenge, whumper turned whumpee, caretaker turned whumper, violence, slightly graphic description of throat cutting, death wish, very vauge suicidal ideation/ attempt?, implied future violence

Rain beats down on the roof of Logan's car, making it difficult to see the road ahead of him. The inconspicuous road to their home isn't lit, but usually, that isn't much of a problem. Even at night, they all know the road well enough to navigate it in the dark. Just use the headlights and drive painfully slow. Tonight though, with rain pouring all around, Logan wishes he had installed something to at least illuminate the cliff edge.

He crawls along, hardly touching the gas irritated at the delay. In the passenger seat a box of takeout grows colder by the second.

He rounds a bend and sees something lying in the road. It looks like a log, or maybe an unlucky deer, but as he gets closer he can clearly see a hand poking from the mess of fabric.

"Fuck" He exhales, slamming the brakes. No one on earth knows about this driveway except him and his team. Why would someone have come so far from the main road? And without any sign of a vehicle? Was it a hit and run? None of his team would've just left a random person laying in the road.

He jumps from the car, rain immediately soaking him through. Thunder rolls above him, and in the brief flash of light, he can see the body clearly.

The person must be freezing. They're not dressed for this weather. A thin, mud caked coat clings to them, heavy with rain.

A flash of misgiving shoots through him. He's seen this before. An injured person laying in the road, a trusting passerby jumping out to help them only to be ambushed. Highway robberies are more common now than they ever were before the collapse.

He freezes in his tracks, scanning the trees around him. Nothing.

He can't just leave the person lying in the road, plus if this was a robbery, why come all the way out here to do it? Surely, they'd have more luck on a busy highway.

Unless it's a trap spesifically for him or someone on his team.

"Hey" He shouts, but his voice is dampened by the rain. If the figure hears him, they don't show it.

Cautiously he takes a few steps closer and nudges the figure with the toe of his boot. Still nothing.

Crouching, he shakes their shoulder.

"Hey, buddy?"

The body rolls onto its back, head flopping over to reveal their face. Logan gasps, leaping to his feet like he's been burned.

It's Morgan. Intelligence specialist Adrian Morgan, the putrid filth of a man who spent six weeks torturing Jesse. What the fuck is he doing here? On their hidden road laying in the mud and rain, half dead at Logan's feet.

He growls, trying to keep from breaking his teeth on his sudden fury.

Why the hell would Morgan come here? How did he even find this place? Is this a trap from AQUA? He doesn't care.

He kicks the man awake. Morgan’s eyelids flutter open. He groans, eyes rolling back repeatedly as he fails to focus on Logan's face.

Logan presses his boot into the man's cheek, grinding his face hard into the mud.

"You" Logan growls, voice cold and low. It sounds somehow unfamiliar to him. His ears are ringing, or maybe it's his whole head.

"Me" Morgan grunts. Logan wants to feel his skull snap beneath his boot. He releases him.

Morgan struggles to rise, but collapses in a peal of thunder. He shudders, head falling back with a small splash, eyes drifting shut. Raindrops pool in his eye sockets, dripping down his face like tears. Logan's lips twist into a sneer.

The man doesn't seem afraid. Logan wants him afraid.

Rage builds hotter in Logan's gut, he feels sick with it. He lunges, grabbing Morgan’s shirt collar and pulling him right up close. The man doesn't fight back.

"Why the fuck are you here? You piece of shit." He spits through gritted teeth. "Come to terrorize my family?... Again." He shakes him, fighting the urge to throw him back to the mud.

Morgan says nothing, and the ringing grows louder in Logan's ears. Vaguely, he realizes he's tearing the mans shirt, nearly strangling him. He clenches his fist harder.

Logan pulls a knife from his belt and presses it hard into the soft skin of Morgan’s neck. His adam's apple bobs, knicking against the blade, but he makes no move to pull away. Red rimmed eyes fixate on Logan's own, boring into him with equal intensity.

"Do it." He snarls. "You know how bad you fucking want it." He jerks his head forward pressing his throat into the blade. "Think how good it'll feel-"

Logan draws the knife slowly across his throat, feeling Morgan's body jerk against him. He fights the rage, fights the urge to dig the blade in deeper, the urge to feel its edge catch against the delicate bones of his neck.

Instead, he opens a shallow gash across the man's windpipe, only narrowly avoiding his carotid artery. Hot blood spills over his hands, pouring down the front of Morgan’s shirt, mixing with the ice cold rain.

"Coward," Morgan hisses, raising a hand to his throat.

Logan releases him and the man collapses back to the ground.

"You don't deserve it." He spits. "As badly as I want to kill you right now, a quick death is too good for a monster like you." He kicks the man again before hauling him up to deliver a punch to the side of his head. Morgan goes limp in his arms, and Logan drags him to the car.

Finding a Way - Chapter 2

Jurassic Park / Camp Cretaceous AU

‘Adrien –’ His name had never sounded so sweet. ‘There’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you.’

He didn’t move. He could hardly breathe. Marinette sounded so serious. ‘W-what is it?’ Was this the end of their friendship? Was she going to tell him to leave her alone for good?

‘I –’

Whatever she was about to tell him, it was cut off when the boat gave a jerk, lurching sideways and flinging her hard against the railing.

‘Marinette!’ His cry was swallowed by earth-shattering bang! Like a crack of thunder, only the sky was mostly clear, even if dark, and there wasn’t a single raindrop.

His heart raced, thumping loud in his ears. Two questions fought for priority.

What’s going on?

Is she okay?

He slammed into the flotation devices. Thank god they were soft, the rubber cushioning the blow. On his knees, he crawled, reaching for something, anything he could hold onto. His fingers brushed metal, and he grasped a metal ring wound loosely with thick rope attached to a lifeboat. He gripped the ring tight, just as the boat dipped again, this time nose first.

The back of the boat was up in the air, with Marinette hanging from the railing, her legs dangling down the deck. Fear filled her face, as bloodless as his own.

Another wave sent them flying up into the air, making his head spin. With no time to recover, the boat was tipping the other way, slamming him into the wooden deck this time. But there was hardly time to process the pain. Water smacked his head, smashing his face into the inflatable boat so he was suffocating in the rubber.

His chest tightened with panic – the last thing he needed, speeding up the breathlessness.

A voice spoke in his mind – Plagg’s. ‘Are you seriously going to be killed by a lifeboat? Come on, you’re not just Adrien Agreste, you’re Cat Noir! GET UP!’

Adrenaline surging, he peeled himself away from the rubber, his mouth open and gasping like a fish out of water, his chest heaving in air.

The boat was still dipping and diving. The ocean had seemed so placid, before. The way these waves had just come out of nowhere, without even a storm…there was only one explanation.

His eyes found Marinette. ‘Earthquake!’ he shouted, his throat on fire. That was what that smell of sulphur had been.

Screams found their way to his ears, from the other side of the boat. Their classmates, caught in the same disaster.

Where was Plagg? Fighting his own way in the kitchen? If only he could just transform, maybe use an aqua power-up. Who even cared if he gave himself away in front of Marinette. If only he could –

His heart clenched, his eyes frozen open and his brain refusing to process what he’d just seen. When the water slapped him in the face again, reality sank in.

Marinette had just been tossed overboard, into the angry ocean.

[it's... oh dear, it's a rather shakycam phone recording of a video on a laptop screen.

The video- yes that's very definitely legitimate Netballflix, no doubts about that!- is, from the title underneath, a documentary specifically about Team Aqua. It starts out paused on a frame of someone being interviewed, with subtitles underneath that indicate it's about to cut to footage taken immediately before Groudon and Kyogre were awakened, apparently filmed by the interviewee in Lilycove City.

Shardy presses play, and now we're getting old handheld camera footage refilmed on a phone camera through a computer as the interviewee- presumably- runs up to a small group of Team Aqua grunts standing on the hill by the beach, staring out to sea. She shouts something, and a couple of the grunts turn; Shardy hits pause again and his finger comes into view, pointing at one grunt in particular standing on the left side of the group.

"That guy, watch that guy."

The video starts up once more. The woman filming is demanding to know what's going on; the grunts are, as might be expected, being unhelpful. The one Shardy pointed out doesn't quite seem to know whether he should be watching the confrontation or the ocean, glancing back and forth, but the decision is soon taken out of his hands; there's a distant rumble, almost like an immense clap of thunder, and the wind picks up from nowhere, stirring the clouds into frantic action and splattering the first few raindrops of many against the camera lense. Everyone ducks instinctively against the sudden gusts, then some of the smarter grunts start to whoop and cheer; the grunt of interest, however, at the edge of the frame, looks less than elated. He looks even less pleased when the wind grabs and rips away his uniform bandana- he turns to see where it's gone, and his face is shown in full for the first time.

Shardy pauses on it, and points again.

And- it's true. Anyone remembering seeing selfies of Shardy on his blog- or indeed him in reality- will immediately grasp the resemblance; his hair even looks to be a very similar colour. It's impossible to tell if he's identical beyond the obvious- he's hardly the focus of the shot, and the details are blurred away by early digital film compression and being filtered through at least two extra mediums, but it's at least easy to see where people who are decent at remembering faces got the idea when they saw an innocent groundskeeper.

His haunted phone even seems to be mostly behaving itself, this time keeping the supernatural interference to a few orbs and the faintest whispering voice behind the audio that carries on for just a fraction of a second too long after it stops.]

The latest celebrates the dual release of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, by blending theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer and Aqua’s 1997 track about the Mattel doll.

Cillian Murphy plays Oppenheimer in Nolan’s biopic, alongside Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Kenneth Branagh, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett and Rami Malek.

Speaking to NME, Murphy explained how Nolan helped him “unlock” the character in preparation for the role.

“Chris used this amazing phrase,” Murphy said. “We were talking about Oppenheimer’s arc and he said, ‘You know, he’s dancing between the raindrops morally.’ That unlocked something in my mind when I was preparing.”

I hate Aqua's design. I am sorry, but what is this? Like I love the colouring, I love the estatic of raindrops, I love the the hair and the shape of her head, but that all changes when he go around her bottom part of the design... WHAT ON EARTH?!

Why is it so big??? Like why?! Those hips are massive! I know this should look like a skirt, but like, why?
