putting my list in the tags
hello podcast fans! please reblog this post with a list of every fiction podcast you listen to (if you can come back and reblog directly from me, that’ll keep the post from getting too long and cluttering up people’s dash too)
i’m doing a project (a thesis! that’s terrifying!) about fiction podcasts and while i’m trying to set reasonable expectations for how many podcasts i can include, i also want to have a big pool to choose from in case i end up having more time than expected or i just go real fast lol

Do 10 50s!!!!!! (Any questions you want)
thanks casey ily for enabling me <3 (d&d ask meme here) this is, obviously, a long post bc of who I am as a person. you're all welcome.
6: Which of your d&d characters has been the least like you?
Honestly, probably Medea! And even she has slipped so much towards me lmao. Girlboss is not really my vibe but has been so so fun to play. I don't think I could have found her without Isaac's Sphinx to play off of because I don't have to feel bad about being mean to him sfdsdf and she needs an outlet for that. I'm not a person who carries much guilt or bitterness so that has been really interesting to poke at.
12: Have you ever fought a beholder?
Yes, an undead one, in a oneshot @brogendered ran! iirc we fucked up trying to get into the house over the wall instead of through the door and dropped right into a deadly encounter. we scooped a magic sword and fled back over the wall but left the beholder in some AOE damage spell, then took a short rest, and by the time we came back it was fully dead lmao. Extremely scary surprise encounter to start off the oneshot and extremely kind of jake to let us cheese it that way instead of killing us immediately which we probably had earned.
16. What is your favorite D&D pod/vodcast?
Anything by the Streampunks (Twitter here; most of their shows & others currently hosted on Queuetimes on YT/Twitch). Most of their stuff isn't in the D&D but all of it makes me cry. I started with Callisto 6 back on Geek & Sundry as my first ttrpg foray outside of CR and have never looked back. Strongest of recommendations to anyone interested in superheroes in dystopian cyberpunk Los Angeles 2119 combatting megacorporations with the power of eternal gay love and direct radical action, with a ton of loving care put into worldbuilding and rooting their characters in specific neighborhoods of the city.
It's a story about deliberate compassion and the enduring connection of communities in an unkind capitalistic world, with a storyteller who knows and takes care of his players by giving them every chance to explore what choosing kindness means and to reclaim agency for their own characters, allies, and antagonists alike. Fundamentally changed my understanding of ttrpgs as storytelling you can do, on purpose, with everyone throwing themselves wholeheartedly into a shared story with a deliberate commitment to theme. I think genuinely every single character made me cry at least once, including the ones I originally didn't connect with who ultimately had such powerful arcs that revealed the actors had been paying real damn attention the whole time.
Also has my favorite gay flirting via mechanically suboptimal combat choices that I've ever seen. I simply can't get into it here because I WILL scream but my jaw dropped. gina devivo’s mind. if you want even more longform gay yelling from me send me questions about callisto 6 or other streampunks shows lmao.
watch the first 2 seasons (24 eps) of callisto 6 on youtube. season 3 currently only available on geek and sundry's twitch archive, which you can access for a month for $5 and binge all 12 episodes.
14. Have you ever had a romance with an NPC or another PC?
Casey I will love you forever for turning my sheer lesbian energy and chronic Support Women syndrome into an actual romance for Medea and Medusa. Galaxy brain. I think that's the only romance I've dealt with, unless we count Tony wingmanning Tuck by strongly implying she'd fucked a lot of giants, which we shouldn't, even if it was iconic.
18. Do you use props/minis/terrain in your game?
using this as an excuse to say Roll20 my beloved. still extremely proud of the first oneshot I made from scratch last spring, when I taught myself javascript in order to code puzzles into the Roll20 API. I made: pressure plates that trigger walls to move up and down to allow water to flow; an automatically rotating lantern puzzle that revealed hidden text on the walls and featured actually climbable lanterns that I could hook character tokens to; and most importantly a secret button to change the icon of the goose barbarian, Duck Duck the Goose, from the standard Untitled Goose holding a knife into an edited version of the icon with "then perish" laser eyes.
Oh also a secret pressure plate trap that would only trigger when the bard stepped on it, played a magical sound effect and teleported him to another page where he had to solve a penis nonogram puzzle to be sent back to the party.
Aaand a magic electrical spark that worked as a laser pointer to guide a kitten around the map, complete with both the spark and the kitten’s icons switching orientations as they moved depending on whether they were above/below and left/right of each other.
20. If you run a homebrew game, give an out of context spoiler.
The rats don't like weasels.
21. Drop a picture of a mini you painted (if applicable).
No physical minis, but in the dark ages before heroforge had color options I manually recolored this mini of Tetra using fake photoshop by isolating each part of her body and fucking around with hue filters until I liked it.
tetra with hat dot png:
Tumblr media
[ID: a purple merfolk mini from heroforge with webbed ears, an orange-tinted vest, a bright green kelp skirt, gold leather armbands, a large pink shell on one shoulder, a green kelp headpiece and orange flames rising from one hand. a clipart image of a purple propeller hat covered in gold stars has been edited onto her head. end ID]
yes the propeller hat image is from club penguin. yes i added the stars myself. yes I am this sexy and correct all the time and yes it is exhausting.
32. Most memorable NPC you've encountered in a game you played in.
There's so many, but I've periodically heard Najiba's voice in my head saying "Ithren, are you crazy? Like, you're a little bit crazy, right?" for weeks. her voice is so lyrical I want to listen to her talk for hours.
Ithren doesn't get her at all, but they like when she asks them questions bc it makes them feel like they are doing something useful by answering, even if their answers are completely incomprehensible to the party. I love that after every big thing that happens she goes, "Um, was that okay? That we did that? Like is that a good thing or did we do something bad here?" & makes everyone give their opinions. queen of nosiness.
34. Favorite accent to do for characters?
I've only found one accent I can do reliably so far and it's, like, surfer bro frat boy himbo burnout. Instant hit with the children and got my hapless bandit captive adopted by the party so quickly and now he's in charge of their horses. I love him so much.
all my other NPCs inevitably slide towards vaguely british snooty woman or gruff gravelly uncle no matter what I try to start them as. the two genders etc etc.
36. What was your first d&d character you made?
Tony the Tabaxi, my beloved. Orange tabaxi thembo swashbuckler rogue. The name is a fakeout for Tony the Tiger; they're actually named after Antonio Banderas who voices Puss in Boots. They’re just Puss in Boots. Thought I was gonna have to do something funky for the build but swashbucklers literally get the Panache ability at level 9 that is a free non-magical charm that works perfectly for Puss's big sad cat eyes. Love them so much.
Shrek 2 isn't on Netflix (or wasn't at the time) so for character research I watched Puss In Boots (2011) as well as "Puss In Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale", which is a choose your own adventure interactive special?? And a few episodes of The Adventures of Puss in Boots which (spoilers) takes place in the town of San Lorenzo which puss protects for years until the bloodwolf gets summoned and puss & friends get sucked into a dimensional portal (?) and Puss has to choose to have his friends' memories of him erased in order to correct the timeline, but carries them with him always. From what I recall. He adopts some piglets I think.

1 (because i didnt know what it was until you started talking about it and i still dont understand), 5, 15, 21, 28
1. i saw a tweet back in... mid-August? that was like “ok i’ll bite what’s blaseball” and i was like “hey... what IS blaseball?” and i Googled it and found the site and signed up immediately. i must’ve found it like, RIGHT after the s3 playoffs ended. and that was it, my soul was signed away. (also there’s some good intro to blaseball stuff in my blaseball tag! or you can always just ask i’m always happy to talk abt blaseball) (basically: it’s kinda fantasy football except baseball and for people that like TTRPGs.)
5. see a couple of days ago i might’ve said Firefighters but now i feel like i know quite a bit about their lore! so maybe the Jazz Hands, or some of the smaller teams like the Steaks or the Dale or the Wings? the Jazz Hands have one of my very favorite characters now (Wyatt Pothos) but i don’t know ANYTHING about them lmao
15. blaseball characters fall into one of two categories for me: 1) i don’t know anything about them except maybe their name and 2) i would die for them. i can’t think of anyone i actively dislike? i mean the Garages have a character named Homerun Eric who is the WORST but he is not an actual blaseball player and so i don’t think he counts for the purposes of this question.
21. Jaylen and Mike being best friends. this is a hill i will die on. (also, Jaylen and Tillman being those people who are only VERY BEGRUDGINGLY around each other because they both care about the same person [Mike] but they hate each other’s guts and then winding up in a sort of weird almost-friendship that they would absolutely die again rather than admit to) (also like, they’re the only ones who have come back from the dead so far, sorry but you two are cosmically linked whether you like it or not) (honestly i just really enjoy the dynamics of the Jaylen/Mike/Tillman trio i think the whole thing is fascinating)
28. i was gonna say i haven’t been actively upset about any plot points bc mostly i’m just vibin and having a great time but THE FALLOUT FROM THE PODS. look we got Pitching Machine and that’s cool and great but THE TACOS SNACKRIFICED THEMSELVES FOR US ALL and DIDNT EVEN GET ANY OF THEIR PLAYERS BACK. i’m still just so sad about that. i realize this mechanic was probably planned long before the Snackrifice but like. man. all their Wyatts are gone, NaN is gone (not due to the Snackrifice, but), and they even lost their Pitching Machine. that SUCKS.

My Mummy told me we’ve passed 200% funding and have over 1000 backers for the Mummy: The Curse 2nd Edition KS, so I’m coming unwrapped over the news!
Or something like that! Sometimes the metaphors flow like cold molasses. Speaking of which, last week was a very sloooow week for pledges, and we had a couple of the bigger ticket reward tiers get dropped in favor of lower ones, so getting to these milestones feels pretty great. Still, we’re looking to keep going for the last week of pledging and hit a bunch more KS stretch goals.
To be fair, one of the bright spots and effective ways we’re getting the word out has been with Actual Plays and interviews – some on our Twitch channel and on other sites as well – and we’ve seen upticks in pledging every time one of those goes live. In fact, you can find links to them below in the Onyx Path Media section of the Blurbs!, as well as on the Mummy: The Curse 2nd Edition KS page itself.
That’s what we’re doing to spread word about this new 2nd edition of Mummy: The Curse, yet we still need the help of our mummy cult horde. Please let your friends know, retweet our Mummy tweets, like our Mummy Facebook posts – you never know when one of your actions will be the torch that illuminates Mummy for a whole new section of possible fans!
I thank you, my father thanks you, and my Mummy thanks you, too.
VtR2 Spilled Blood art by Aaron Riley
Here are some other topics we discussed today in our Monday Meeting:
Sometimes we get asked where they can buy a project that shows up on social media. Just in general, if you run across this: every project we make will show up as a PDF and PoD on DTRPG. The only ones that wouldn’t have a PoD are those that can’t, like our Game Screens. PLUS, we are putting more and more projects into retail stores, so if you see a project that was Kickstarted in the last couple of years, you can be pretty sure it will be be in stores, and/or available on the Indie Press Revolution and Studio2 websites.
Speaking of Studio2, we want to point out that they will also be attending PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia in just a little more than two weeks. Since they will be bringing and selling our books and stuff, and will be right next to our Onyx Path booth, we won’t be selling anything there, but we will be gaming in the booth and out in the demo area. We’ll definitely be talking though, with new brochures, and shirts, and we’ll be announcing a couple of projects at the con. Plus, we may have an advance copy of V5 Chicago By Night to show off at our booth!
They Came From Beneath the Sea! art by Larry Blamire
Which leads to this little topic: I’ve mentioned that we have multiple secret projects we’re working on, and let me tell you, the guesses as to what they might be have been absolutely amazing! Almost none are correct, but it has been a delight to read everyone’s ideas. In general, I’m only referring to TTRPG projects that we have control over; anything else usually has too many other folks involved for me to include that kind of project on the list. And really, we have so many cool TTRPG projects coming that we don’t really need to count anything else!
December looks like it’s going to be Trinity Continuum month for our Wednesday on sale offerings! With December being the month that the Trinity Continuum and TC: Aeon core books start going on sale in stores, and the PDFs and PoDs going live on DTRPG, we’ll actually have a couple of items becoming available every week in order to leave the last week open for our monthly Exalted PDF releases.
TC: Aeon RMCs art by Aaron Riley
We’ve had a fantastic response to the Wolfenoot sale and Mighty Matt McElroy will be parsing in more detail how that went next week after the sale ends in a couple of days, I’m sure! Meanwhile, it was super to see how folks responded so far, especially considering that we’ll be helping out some deserving doggos! A bunch of posts in our forums and elsewhere shared what other people in our community did for the holiday, and those were often very inspiring.
And then, right after that sale, DTRPG jumps right into their traditional orgy of sales: their Black Friday and then their Cyber Monday sales! More info on that in the Blurbs! below, but suffice to say that a huge number of our PDFs will have ridiculous sales savings all through those days. I always see these sales as a super opportunity for folks to expand their interests in our game lines. Either by picking up supplements for a line they’re into, or by jumping in on a low-cost way to try a line they might not have been able to try before. A great way to experience our:
Many Worlds, One Path!

Today’s Reason to Celebrate!
Not today, but this week, is Thanksgiving Day (on Thursday) in the US. For me, this isn’t a historical holiday with all the weight of that, nor a football holiday, it’s not even a food-gorging holiday even though we do have a big dinner with our celebration. For me, and how we celebrate it in my family, this is literally a day of thanks. Of being thankful and grateful for the previous year and all of the people in our lives who made a difference in a good way.
For all of us here at the Onyx Path, that means all of you folks! Thank YOU, for allowing us to do what we love because of your support!

Note
1-49
1. What do you think your d&d race would be?
Dwarf, probably. I’m short, chunky, and do have pervasive body hair. I actually have like two actual hairs growing out of my neck and some thick peachfuzz so I feel like my body wants a beard bad enough for me to be a dwarf.
2. What class?
I think maaaaybe a bard? I have a lot of anxiety concerning performing but I could be a stand up comedy bard. If not that, maybe a barbarian? I wanna go feral at all times.
3. What two feats would you have?
Inspiring Leader and Tavern Brawler. I am good at encouraging people and literally love the concept at going feral w/ whatever weapon possible.
4. What has been your favorite d&d character you’ve played? (NPCs count for DMs)
Ooooo! I guess my favorite PC I’ve played is Viper, my assassin tiefling. My favorite NPC I’ve played is probably Daniel Devito (original character do not steal)
5. Which of your d&d characters has been the most like you?
None of my characters are particularly like me, all of them have like, one trait I can relate to tops. Same with NPCs.
6. Which of your d&d characters has been the least like you?
For NPCs, the big bad of my last campaign (Duke Maloret) but for PCs probably Viper?
7. How do you go about making a character or NPC?
I go with a basic concept when making a player character and flesh it out from there once I have an idea what the setting is like. For an NPC, I already know what the setting is like so I create someone I think would fit and have a place and purpose in the setting. And when I make joke NPCs I just come up w/ something funny that somehow usually works with lore.
8. What is the most memorable natural 20 you’ve ever experienced?
In the CoS game I’m playing, our warlock got a fuckin nat 20 and one shot an NPC, who was definitely going to kill us, mortal combat style.
9. Has one of your d&d characters ever died? How?
In a oneshot playing w/ some ppl I don’t really care for, one of my characters died. They died bc a player threw a grenade to kill a big monster even though I said “yo, don’t!”
10. What is your favorite class to play?
Monk!!! The power, the range. Lovely.
11. Have you ever fought a dragon?
Yes? Kind of?
12. Have you ever fought a beholder?
I don’t think so.
13. Have you ever fought a mind flayer?
No
14. Have you ever had a romance with an NPC or another PC?
As a DM, I have. As a player I haven’t yet, but my necromancer/life cleric is in high demand so that’s gonna change ;0
15. Do you prefer to DM or play?
I like both. I’m better as a player though so playing is usually what I prefer bc I feel like I make a better experience playing. I love DMing so fuckin much tho :’0
16. What is your favorite D&D pod/vodcast?

Ok, here we go.
Name: Just call me whatever really, I'll think of a name for this blog at some point.
Pronouns+Gender: He Him, and Cis Male.
Sexuality: Asexual, the rest to be determined.
Country: Canada
Top 5 Fandoms: Idk if I'd call myself a fandom member, but some things I'm interested in are Lego, Destiny, Bg3, TTRPGs, and RWBY which was a special interest I was not expecting.
Most Forbidden Snack: Tide Pods, they look like ripe juicy berries.
Would you pet a bug: Depends on the bug, but most likely yes.
Share a Weird fact or Story: Sometimes when I'm sleeping or about to fall asleep I'll end up in a state where I'm dreaming, but not asleep and actually acting out the things in my dream. Like one time I wrapped myself up in my covers and attempted to crawl under my bed. No idea why that happens.
What does blue taste like: Idk blueberries or something.
The most beautiful thing I've ever seen: A storm happening on the other side of a large river from me. It looked amazing.
Stupidest thing I've ever done: I ate visibly dirty snow on a dare once.
Stupidest thing I've ever seen: Back when I was in high school, I saw an older student drive their car into something right behind a local pizza place. I don't know exactly what happened after but I heard they just drove away.
Hyperfixation Song: Hex by Dance with the Dead
I just like skeletons, and I thought I'd make something in hero forge to be my profile. No lore or anything behind it, perhaps I'll do that sometime.
Dream career as a kid: Astronaut
Current dream career: Game Dev
Thoughts on Cilantro: I have no idea what that is.
Ever been banned from a location?: No, and I hope it stays that way.
Cursed food combo: Idk if this counts as a combo, but I often eat things like wraps and the occasional Subway sandwich by eating them as individual pieces.
Trans Rights: Without a doubt.
A little late to the party but there we have it. I only have 8 mutuals, so that'll have to do. Apologies in advance mutuals. @fylixfrozyn @radiogoblin @theleidenfrosteffect @genuinefauxthought @lady-hircine @comforthoodieisallineed @dinosaurguts @super-ace
“I just came from r/196” ask game
Saw another post. I think I should invite y'all to one of our longstanding traditions. Answer the questions then tag 10 (or more) people. I'll go first.
Name? Frankie
Pronouns and gender? he/they/it, transmasc
Sexuality? Lesbian
Country? USA
Top 5 fandoms? Bungou Stray Dogs, Cosmere, All for the Game, Fundiesnark (not a series but I'm too deep in it to not consider it a fandom), .....the tornado fandom? (they're my special interest)
What is your Most forbidden snack? The preserved bones at the Atlanta Bodies Exhibition. They looked so crunchy...
Would you pet a bug? If it's big enough, it is pettable.
Share a weird fact/story about yourself with the class. I like to drive around rural areas and photograph old, sometimes abandoned locations in the dead of night. I have been literally chased out of towns by foot and by car on two separate occasions. The second time this happened, "See You Again" by Miley Cyrus came up on shuffle and that's the soundtrack my friend and I tore out of town to. Also every "guy" I've dated except for my most recent ex (who has big egg energy) is a lesbian now.
What does the color blue taste like? Creme brulee
What is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? The appalachian mountains of Tennessee in the middle of summer. There's kudzu everywhere. On the backroads, there were several old, dilapidated Baptist churches barely hanging to the side of the mountain. I wonder how many of them were still in use.
What is the stupidest thing you've ever done? Short version: my friend's house almost got broken into by this dude who'd been stalking us for months while we were home alone. Instead of calling the cops, we decided to confront him with a bow and arrow (me), a hatchet, and a baseball bat (him). The plan was that if it went badly, we would simply throw his corpse into one of the many lakes in the neighborhood and let the alligators eat his remains (this was Florida). Why? Because we were afraid of having our home-alone privileges revoked. Luckily for us all, the guy fucked off and we never saw him again.
Stupidest thing you've seen/heard someone else do/say? My ex thought that Jackalopes were real. Also, a nurse I was doing rotations with apparently thought that "Witness Protection" was for Jehovah's Witnesses.
Hyperfixation song? Young Enough + Bleach by Charly Bliss
Is there any meaning behind your profile picture and/or username? Profile pic; I'm transmasc and I'm currently obsessed with TriStamp. Username; It was my fake internet name when I was like 13. I won't change it because I want my mutuals to recognize me, and because I do have a viral post associated with this name.
Dream career as a child? Doctor (funnily enough I'm now in nursing school)
Dream career as an adult? Professional Jester. Not a comedian. I just want to be some weird little guy who dresses silly and you can hire me to roast your boss at work parties.
Thoughts on cilantro? Delicious
Have you ever been banned from a location and if so, why? I honestly can't remember? Probably... but in recent memory I've mainly banned people from places.
What is your cursed food combination? Pineapple on a hotdog with grilled onions. It Slaps.
Trans rights? TRANS RIGHTS
Tagging: @rocket-mankoi @mostlymarco @atleast8courics @jazzlike39 @gemsweater72 @limbobilbo @ameliaaltare @redcrane112 @theoneofwhomisblue @twinkenjoyer @theultimatecarp and anyone else who wants to jump on

Note
answer all the dnd asks, troglodyte! *walks at you like spy tf2*
50 d&d questions
1. What do you think your d&d race would be?
I would say I’d just be a human honestly.
2. What class?
Ok so it would be the homebrew class you made called Gunslinger. Essentially it’s a class that uses guns exclusively and, in certain subclasses, some spells.
3. What two feats would you have?
Alert and Duel wielding
4. What has been your favorite d&d character you've played? (NPCs count for DMs)
I’m still pretty new to d&d. Only been playing for a bit over a year actually. And I’ve only ever made one character. His name is Flynn and i’m not gonna lie. At first he was just the Doom Slayer but a little bit to the left. But then I actually wrote a backstory and made it my own character. I’m proud of what he’s become :3
5. Which of your d&d characters has been the most like you?
Well going off the fact that I’ve only ever made one character. Flynn has reflected my quite a but. In a lot of situations I actually see myself and not my character.
6. Which of your d&d characters has been the least like you?
I can’t really answer this honestly.
7. How do you go about making a character or NPC?
I start with a fundamental idea. And just for example purposes. Flynn’s idea was literally just The Doom Slayer. And my reason for picking him is because he’s my favorite character of all time. And then I just keep developing on that until I have a character!
8. What is the most memorable natural 20 you've ever experienced?
At one point in a oneshot our group played we were at the final boss and I was about to do the finishing hit. I got a 20+2 and it was so satisfying to completely destroy it in one hit.
9. Has one of your d&d characters ever died? How?
Flynn has never died. Yet
10. What is your favorite class to play?
The only one I’ve played. Gunslinger!
11. Have you ever fought a dragon?
We haven’t fought an actual dragon but If you want to count a dragonborn then yes. Yes we have
12. Have you ever fought a beholder?
I personally haven’t. But my group has while I was away.
13. Have you ever fought a mind flayer?
We have never touched a mind flayer. As both players and DM’s
14. Have you ever had a romance with an NPC or another PC?
Funny story actually. In Flynn’s backstory his dimension was overrun by demons and they killed everyone he knew and loved. So when he got to the current dimension were playing in. He had ptsd to say the least. (ok maybe not so funny but whatever) So ironically enough after a while I got the ingenious idea to romance a demon that we helped near the beginning of the campaign. And so far it’s been fun to say the least. They go together well :3
15. Do you prefer to DM or play?
Well considering I have little to no DMing skills. I’m required by law to say playing heheh.
16. What is your favorite D&D pod/vodcast?
I haven’t listened to any. I want to listen to the adventure zone but you won’t let me because you want to watch the show with me.
17. Who is your favorite "celebrity dm?"
Matt Mercer.
18. Do you use props/minis/terrain in your game?
I don’t dm yet. But I have plans too.
19. How did you discover D&D?
My friend @violettherainwing told me about it because you mentioned doing it. So now were here
20. If you run a homebrew game, give an out of context spoiler.
Initiate Sector Sweep
21. Drop a picture of a mini you painted (if applicable)
I don’t have one
22. Write a brief scene centered around one of your characters!
Ok i’m breaking the rules a little bit I’m gonna describe the interaction between Flynn and Binary.Flynn went up to the roof to just hang out and think but then Binary came up and they started talking about where they both came from and where they think they’ll end up. It’s my favorite interaction between the two and I hope we do it again sometime.
23. Do you have any art of your characters?
I don’t. Because i’m awful at drawing. And I just haven’t tried to.
24. Have you ever played any TTRPGs other than D&D?
I’ve played 7 seas with my girlfriends mom dming it. It was. And interesting experience to say the lease.
25. What is your favorite snack for d&d?
Toast honestly.
26. If you could have one potion from d&d, which one would you choose?
I don’t really want any of the potions honestly. So instead i’ll take an item. And that would be the ring of gender swapping. Reasons for that are, it’s a one time use thing, and also. I wanna change heheh.
27. If you could cast one spell from d&d, which would you cast?
Fabricate
28. What is the most memorable natural 1 you've experienced?
I got a natural 1 when I got in a drinking contest with Binary.  Flynn got hammered so goddamn fast.
29. Have you ever been drunk playing d&d?
No but I have been high before.
30. Homebrew or prewritten?
Homebrew all the way.
31. Tell me about your current party!
Our party is the embodiment of chaos. We are all stupid. But that’s what makes it good.
32. Most memorable NPC you've encountered in a game you played in.
Karkat Vantis in our d&d campaign Dungeon More Like Fungeon
33. Do you listen to music while playing? What kinds?
I have. Usually it’s what the dm plays. But I occasionally vibe to Camellia, Monstercat or Half alive If i’m not up to what’s playing.
34. Favorite accent to do for characters?
I don’t really do accents because we play on a discord server.
35. Favorite classic d&d trope
Gay bard
36. What was your first d&d character you made?
Flynn was. And he will forever stay my favorite.
37. What is the most recent PC or NPC you've created?
I did have an idea for an npc for my campaign but I can’t say what it is because of spoilers
38. Goblins or Kobolds?
Kobalds. You don’t see them nearly as often.
39. Favorite villain you've defeated?
Flynn’s ptsd lmao
40. What d&d deity would you be a cleric of?
Apollo
41. Give an out of context quote from one of your games!
“I can die for a few hours”
42. Have you ever rolled turn into a potted plant on the wild magic table?
I haven’t done this no
43. Minis and terrain or theater of the mind?
A mixture of both actually. I like a general layout of the area and then the fine details I like making up in my mind
44. Mulligan, Mercer, Murphy, or McElroy?
Matt Mercer.
45. What is the longest session you've ever had?
We played for like 7-8 hours. Maybe even longer. It was fun though :D
46. What is the longest battle you've fought or run?
I don’t remember what it was but it lasted a few hours.
47. Have you ever played at level 20?
Yes I have. It was chaotic!
48. Does your DM say "How do you want to do this?"
All the time
49. Have you ever played an edition other than 5th?
I haven’t. I don’t think I will to be completely honest.
50. Who is your favorite member of your party aside from your own. God this is difficult. We have so many divers PC’s and NPC’s it’s really hard to come up with a favorite. But after thinking about it for a while. I’m gonna have to say Binary. His design and backstory is extremely unique and he reflects your creativity so well. I’m proud of you!

50 DND Questions
1. What do you think your d&d race would be? Proabably human. If I get the choice, I’d like to be either an Elf or Dragonborn. I’d be cool with either of those.
2. What class? Mostly likely a fighter? I’m not religious enough for a cleric, and not smart enough for a sorcerer or wizard. I like the idea of being able to throw hands.
3. What two feats would you have? I’d want the Alert feat, and more than likely the Lucky feat. Alert means my initiative gets improved, and Lucky means that I can reroll a bad throw. Those would get used a lot.
4. What has been your favorite d&d character you've played? (NPCs count for DMs) I’ve only got the two for now, but Liander’s been getting the most love. She’s probably my favorite.
5. Which of your d&d characters has been the most like you? Oh, Liander, without a doubt. She’s pretty close to my baseline personality.
6. Which of your d&d characters has been the least like you? And that would be Cade. Cade is just this side of Chaotic Evil, so she’s a little harder for me to get into the right headspace for. Playing her takes a lot out of me, to be honest.
7. How do you go about making a character or NPC? That’s hard to say - I give the session about an hour or so to feel it out, and let the personalities develop naturally over time. My playing style is reactive, so I let the situation dictate how said character would respond.
8. What is the most memorable natural 20 you've ever experienced? That would be with Cade. I’d rolled to take out a stone giant, suplexed them (because she’s a barbarian and her strength stat is wild), then chopped his dick off with my battleaxe like I was swinging a golf club. It uh, made an impression on the rest of the party, and the rest of the enemies.
9. Has one of your d&d characters ever died? How? Not yet, so don’t jinx me! I’m still attached to both of them, and would like to keep them around!
10. What is your favorite class to play? So far, it’s been my ranger. She’s fun, and I’m digging the whole ‘animals as companions’ thing she’s got going.
11. Have you ever fought a dragon? Yes. Between Cade and Paileous, we cut it’s head off. It’s currently a trophy back at home base. Got a lot of gold for our trouble, too.
12. Have you ever fought a beholder? NO. Not entirely sure I wanna, either!
13. Have you ever fought a mind flayer? No, but it’s coming up. My buddy is having us roll new characters for the Underdark campaign. I might try a cleric just for funsies.
14. Have you ever had a romance with an NPC or another PC? Nope. I am here to tell you that neither of my characters is looking for any of that. Liander’s too busy, and Cade is a halfling barbarian surrounded by equally questionable Drow paladins and rouges. No thanks.
15. Do you prefer to DM or play?  I have no desire to DM. I’ve only been playing for a little while, and I’m not creative enough to attempt it. I’ll stick to playing. I’m good at that.
16. What is your favorite D&D pod/vodcast? I’ve been listening to Critical Role - I’m relistening to the Whitestone/Chroma Conclave arcs. I love No Mercy Percy so much.
17. Who is your favorite "celebrity dm?" I only know the one - Matt Mercer.
18. Do you use props/minis/terrain in your game? Very rarely. I think we’ve only had like, two sessions that actually had terrain and mini’s.
19. How did you discover D&D? My friends. I sat in on one of their games, and just for the hell of it, they rolled me a character, and thus Cade was born.
20. If you run a homebrew game, give an out of context spoiler. I’m not running it, but smuggling is a thing, and the dude we’re smuggling for is someone whose face is on a wanted poster in my pocket.
21. Drop a picture of a mini you painted (if applicable) Sorry, I don’t have any minis. They’re all with my DM.
22. Write a brief scene centered around one of your characters! Uh, hang on -  "That was nice. I didn't ask you to get it for me, and I distinctly remember telling you I can get my own. Not my fault you don't listen worth a damn." Liander says with a slight grin. She doesn't know why, but she likes poking at Chancel. Not many folks react the way he does, and the scowl he sends her just makes her grin wider. "Come on. I cannot possibly be the only one who's pointed that out to you."
"Yeah, me. Two minutes ago." Zulth mutters into his mug.
23. Do you have any art of your characters? Yeah, one of my more artistic friends drew a sketch of Liander for me, complete with her cat on her shoulder. It’s pretty cool. It’s also huge, which is why I’m not posting it here.
24. Have you ever played any TTRPGs other than D&D? No, this is my first foray into TTRPGs.
25. What is your favorite snack for d&d? I reach for Cheetos or Doritos usually. They’re good, crunchy snacks.
26. If you could have one potion from d&d, which one would you choose? If I could just load up on superior healing potions for life, I’d be a happy woman.
27. If you could cast one spell from d&d, which would you cast? Fireball. That’s a nice equalizer, I think.
28. What is the most memorable natural 1 you've experienced? Oh man. That would be with Liander this time. She was trying to sneak into a well fortified part of the city, and tamper with the water supply for one family. Well, I had to roll to hop the fence to do so, rolled a natural one, my foot caught in the fence, and there was a dog right in front of me. Landed on my face, and got bitten for my trouble. Still got the mission done, though.
29. Have you ever been drunk playing d&d? I’ve been buzzed. Does that count?
30. Homebrew or prewritten? Both? Both. Both is good.
31. Tell me about your current party! Which one? Well, for the Alagaesia campaign, there’s my character Liander, a dwarf named Thorin, a rouge(?) named Zulth, an herbalist named Liam, and the man who hired us, an NPC named Bjorn. We’re actually trying to accomplish something with this campaign, or so the DM says.
For the Guardians of Gravenhollow campaign, I’m a halfling barbarian named Cade, there’s a drow Paladin named Varis, and another Drow rouge named Paileous. This particular campaign is just chaotic evil fuckery.
32. Most memorable NPC you've encountered in a game you played in. Victor. He built a clock, I wanted his tinkering kit, and wound up buying both at a just criminally low price. I kinda feel like I ripped him off, tbh.
33. Do you listen to music while playing? What kinds? Mostly the Skyrim soundtrack with a little Witcher soundtrack thrown in for funsies. Atmospheric stuff.
34. Favorite accent to do for characters? I don’t really have one for either of my characters. Mostly because I’m bad at keeping it up. I forget.
35. Favorite classic d&d trope Tragic Backstory(TM). Only one of my characters has it, but it’s damn fun to role-play.
36. What was your first d&d character you made? That would be Cade! She started out as kind of a throw-away, but she got mixed in with Paileous and Varis and she’s living her best chaotic life.
37. What is the most recent PC or NPC you've created? That’d be Kahtri, actually! I haven’t played her a whole bunch, so I’m not really familiar with her yet, but it’ll be interesting to play a Drow cleric who doesn’t actually worship Lolth. (I don’t do spiders.)
38. Goblins or Kobolds? I actually haven’t dealt with either yet. I’m slightly more familiar with Goblins simply because of CritRole.
39. Favorite villain you've defeated? Uh, I dunno if I’d classify her as a villian exactly, but Cade’s killed an NPC named Creed who was a servant to the god Grotz. Pretty sure he’s out for revenge now.
40. What d&d deity would you be a cleric of? I am a cleric of the Drow deity Elistraee. (I had to double check the spelling on that)
41. Give an out of context quote from one of your games! Liander - “I tried to stop him, but he fucking yote me across the room like I wasn’t even there. Is it weird I’m bitter about that?”
Thorin - *emerges from the wreckage of the crate we were smuggling holding dragon eggs* “I FOUND LIVING ROCKS!”
Liander and Zulth in tandem - *knows exactly what he’s holding* “Oh for fuck’s sake!”
42. Have you ever rolled turn into a potted plant on the wild magic table? No, I don’t think I know anyone who plays that particular class, so I’ve never seen it happen.
43. Minis and terrain or theater of the mind? Theater of the mind, good sir/madam.
44. Mulligan, Mercer, Murphy, or McElroy? Mercer! Mercer! Mercer!
45. What is the longest session you've ever had? Oh, jeez. Like, fourteen hours, give or take?
46. What is the longest battle you've fought or run? Uh, that’d be the fight with Creed. It took us like two hours to beat her down with three of us. She was stupid powerful. The bounty was great, though.
47. Have you ever played at level 20? No, my highest level character is a level 11. I’m working on it, though.
48. Does your dm say "How do you want to do this?" Oh yes. The table just blows up when that happens, not gonna lie. It’s fun to hear, especially if it’s aimed at you.
49. Have you ever played an edition other than 5th? No, I started playing last year, so 5th is all I know.
50. Will you try to convince others to play? Already done so. I’ve added a couple people to the group - my husband, whose character is the best straight man to our fuckery, and one of our mutual friends whose lunacy works with our brand of crazy.
