I have a personal headcanon that Kristoph started off as a normal, healthy child but when he was around 10 (Klavier would be around 2-3 at this time) he because increasingly sickly and weak and eventually bedridden. He could barely move and spent most of his time asleep in bed or studying whilst little Klavier got to play outside in the sun and seemingly got all of their parent's attention. Although Klavier could most often be found curled up against Kristoph as the elder read to him.

Even before his sickness, Kristoph's parents were quite protective and even more so now, yet they hardly seemed to bare down the same way on Klavier. Kristoph became paler, hair and eyes becoming lighter. He needed glasses. He was constantly thirsty (for tea). Because one/both of Kristoph's parents were actually poisoning him. In my eyes, it was his Mother and his Father and Klavier had no clue.

All those physical changes and his debilitation mirrors when Diego Armando was poisoned. Godot's were more drastic, as Dahlia gave enough to almost kill him off in one dose. However, Kristoph was sick for years, and so his aren't quite as bad.

He was given not nearly enough to kill, as this had gone on for years, but the Gavin Mother was so protective over her kind, smart, beloved firstborn that she wanted to keep him closed-off from the world and solely reliable on her for the rest of his life. She was a very obsessive, disturbed woman, but the Father was so enamoured with his wife that he never saw her that way. (Her reasoning for why they even had Klavier in the first place is so they could "have a child each".)

Then their parents both died in a car accident (the boys around 13 and 5) as per the most popular community headcanon, and Kristoph eventually gets better when doctors realise just what his mystery illness really was. As soon as he is well enough to leave the Gavin House and Germany (which takes another few years, at about 17-18 and 9-10), he takes Klavier with him to America while he studies law. Even now, Klavier is still scared that Kristoph could end up permanently in a bed or even dead from his "illness" returning.

Somewhere, deep down, Kristoph does know the truth about his Mother poisoning him, even though the doctors never told him the truth. And that's why it's his preferred method: it runs in the family.

but then klavier being like all but confirmed to wear lipstick, and he would totally wear alita’s sandals (and rock them) and being a fop

being gnc is like. the major thing that they share in canon. and you know where klav got it from, it’s just so obvious. it’s canon. it’s right there. you know they bonded over cosmetics and klavier stole kristophs hair straightener and won’t give it back and they both use a lot of the same brands that they trust and kristoph taught klavier which brands are the best when they went shopping together. and when apollo brought the bottle of nail polish out klavier realized it was ariadoney and knew immediately who it belonged to. klavier has been pawing through kristophs makeup since he was knee high to a duck, he would know that bottle anywhere.

I ended up backing out of the TAZ fandom hard around the fatphobia surrounding Taako like Lordt there’s valid critique but it’s few and far between and most posts basically boil down to “I hate fat people and I especially hate when fat people aren’t made to hate themselves”

like the art the fandom produces can be spectacular! but some of the discourse, aka the blatant fatphobia, is so disgusting and im just so...tired...

hihi! sooo I recently saw a prompt: Kristoph as a genshin character: any thoughts? headcanons? vision / weapon / aesthetic / etc? no need to answer all, just whatever comes to mind :3 or whichever character tickles your fancy instead ^^

Anon, I've been thinking about this since I got into Genshin! To know I'm not the only one is exciting.

Vision: I've had the idea that Kristoph's Vision is Cryo. It makes the most sense out of the other 6 Elements due to his nature. Kristoph's cold-hearted nature, his tenacity-- all the more fitting for such a cold element.

Region of Origin: I'm cross between Mondstadt or Fontaine only because I love Mondstadt but I know Fontaine is more plausible. Given the Archon there is the God of Justice & it seems that there's going to be heavy themes about judging the guilty, it's more plausible that Kristoph would hail from there, yes?

Weapon: Hear me out, he'd definitely be a catalyst user, and I've imagined him having a similar fighting style to Ningguang (except, you know, Cryo.) This would actually be more than perfect for him, because his projectiles would be Cryo-infused and by a body of water would mean, ironically, certain Hell for any enemies who tried to approach him. The reason for the catalyst in general is because Kristoph would not be a close-range fighter (yes, yes I'm aware that Shikanoin Heizou's fighting style is kinda a contradiction to this because he's a catalyst and throwing punches) and would prefer to have space between him and the enemy for maximum effectiveness.

(What if Kristoph's catalyst looked like the Ariadoney bottle, but more detailed? I'd have to draw that...)

And because I'm so predicable, I'll talk a little bit about Klavier:

Vision: Electro. I take no constructive critcism.

Weapon: Sword user. Klavier is quick on his feet, sometimes a bit reckless in fighting. Prefers close range fighting and using the most effective means possible to end a fight as fast as it's begun. Sometimes when he fights together with Kristoph, it's Superconduct Hell for the enemies. -100/10 would not recommend pissing these two off.

He does take to incorporating swiss cheese into his meals from time to time.

Dear Jonah R.,

Thank you for noticing, first and foremost.

I use Ariadoney nail polish to keep my nails in pristine condition.  I would be more than happy to let you borrow some if you wish.

And while I do not regard the common folk as “stupid” per se, I believe it requires a well-educated individual to understand the difference between solid and flimsy evidence.  Call me skeptical, but I find it very unlikely that the average person off the street could deduce anything about a murder case on their own.  The courtroom dramas they watch on television certainly will not teach them anything.  That, at least, is my opinion on the matter.

As for my former pupil, I do not wish to discuss any of his cases or his methods.  Young Justice strayed from the path of critical thinking and reason long ago.
