Kinda funny to me that 3 out of 4 crushers have a part of their face covered, be it eye patch or mask
So the next crusher should be something like this

One of my favorite brand of Arknights posts is someone hyping up their favorite 4 star, not because they are crazy strong like Myrtle or Jaye, but simply because they love that character and their kit regardless of how good it is

It's really funny that Quartz was released and people were extremely harsh on her, because on principle, there's actually not really anything wrong with her stat spread. Massive HP and ATK have a real use in Arknights. Sure, she won't be tanking dogs particularly well but that's equivalent to me deploying Cuora down and wondering why she isn't DPSing the boss.
The problem is that we know that Quartz's statline has a niche because, uh
Yeah.

All you Arknights Meta-Slaves undervaluing Quartz and calling her literally unplayable just because she has 0 DEF and 0 RES. Well guess what, I just E2'd and M3'd her just out of sheer spite for the Meta and everyone who called her Mid. The outcome?
Quartz is not as terrible as everyone says she is. All she needs is a Medic or 2 and she'll be fine. Infact, the sheer damage output she performs is amazing, especially with her Skill 2.

Quartz (4*) will be the first unit in a new Guard archetype, “Crusher”.
It will be similar to Centurion in that it “attacks all blocked enemies”, but we don’t know if this is another diction blunder on Hypergryph’s part like it was with Centurions (who attack enemies equal to their block count), or if in Crusher’s case they will actually attack all enemies that are blocked in range (their tile + tile in front of the unit). In the second GIF, you can see that Quartz is hitting both enemies, even before blocking them, so it’s likely a similar situation to Centurions.
Quartz’ talent is a simple yet serviceable “Increased HP and ATK”, while her skills are as follows:
Skill 1: While the skill is active, Increases ATK.
Skill 2: While the skill is active, Quartz takes increased damage, gains increased ASPD, each attack additionally deals X% of Quartz’ ATK and has a chance to stun.
Exact values are unknown as of this time.
From the GIFs, we can see that Quartz’ attack interval is quite slow, which might mean Crushers will have high Attack to compensate, making them deal singular devastating strikes instead of multiple strikes. This is in stark contrast with Centurions, who have a pretty middle ground attack interval of 1.2 (that is, one attack per 1.2 seconds). They might be a 2 Block, slower, stronger ATK variant to the usual Centurion. it’s also worth pointing out that Quartz will take more damage while S2 is active, suggesting they might plan for drawbacks in Crusher toolkits to further make up for very powerful skill effects, just like with Centurions (Estelle’s inability to be healed by outside sources in S2, Specter’s self-Stun in S2, Blaze’s self-damage in S3, etc).
Overall, it’s clear Quartz is the prototype Crusher from which they will gauge player interest and strategies in order to develop the eventual 5* and 6* Crushers. This is in contrast to some of the earlier Arknights design philosophy of releasing new archetypes as high rarity units and then developing lower rarity units based on this (Ch’en with Swordmaster, Ifrit with Blast Caster, among others).
It’ll be interesting to see how Quartz and Crusher play out, given that high attack singular hits are very serviceable against high armor enemies when you can’t afford to deploy Arts damage for whatever reason (see: Platinum S2).
