apparently it says that rauru DID have kids, multiple even, which yeah... is kinda necessary for zelda to even be connected to them so much so that sonia can SENSE a blood connection (which, even with all the excuses with magic, is just a little too far for me to suspend my disbelief bc its over, OVER, ten thousand years worth of generations that seperate her from them that one lil touch of the hand can sense that (feels more like an attempt to make you care about them or .. see them as zeldas "better" parents just bc they exchange a few nice words, i never got the feeling they were 'better' parents and its also kinda disrespectful to her actual parents, like sure rhoam wasnt the best but i wouldnt call rauru better just bc he was polite)- i could see maybe the light power of hylia or sth but since its the coolest dude that ever lived rauru now that had it which still doesnt make sense and makes me unreasonably annoyed and she can sense BOTH of their powers in her? nah) the fact theres NOTHING about them in the game itself is just so ... no way they planned any of this

i dont think theres anything they can do or say that wont make be believe they either

are making it up alla 'fix it in post' mentality trying to hastily explain stuff the game never bothers to do to try and appease fans or let it appear as if they thought about it at all

something went really REALLY wrong during development, which kinda seems likely given how the game turned out (im sorry i cannot let go, its not just the writing, the game design too and how little was changed in the map while being so damn expensive, i dont know how people dont feel scammed q_q)

given that they (allegedly) spent the last entire year of development on polish (where??? where????? huh??? like it would make it more understandable (EXCEPT for the price) if there was alot of trouble, which was also bc it got delayed and ... turned out like this, but they dont want to say it, especially given their reputation, with that quote i have heard way too many times 'a delayed game blah blah') i just??

are they just gonna go and do it like they did with kashiwa (kass)? "they uuuh where flying around the whole time ony cool sonau tech maschines, you just dont see or hear from them ooooorrr they were uuuuh out of the country at the time" (sending invitations to other continents to join their glorious kingdom ;) )

(bet they are also gonna say they did all the stuff like ... moving the shrines around (lol?) and lifting the islands up into the sky- which is still weird bc ... didnt they also say they were living in the sky before coming to the surface?? so where?? did they park all their islands on the surface and the mystery kids had the keys so they had to repark them back into the sky after they returned off camera?? xD also why are the islands so different as an environment if they where from the surface? like even the STONE up there is different- and if they were first in the sky then on the surface and the nback in the sky .. why is there not a single yellow tree or grass in the past- you cant really argue that it changed bc they were up there so long bc .. nothing else changed, the suddendly and totally always there sonau buildings are largely in prime condition, only some slightly moldy, and what we see of the glorious past looks barely any different from the present, aside from like ... some standard trees shuffled, no castle yet and that glowy uwu filter DESPITE that stupidly long time frame between it)

I wish I could survive without living with family rn. I love my family and they love me but that only really matters as long as im doing what they want with no complaint. im less than human here and I don’t have the ability to change that without upsetting or alienating my only current means of existence

kind of irrelevant but i wonder if arrow cannons work on the realm bc like . ya Some of them use player arrows but u can also load them with dispenser arrows and kill credit isn’t super important on there like it is on ls

Well, in the absence of anything specific that I can throw together in one day for Halloween, I might just wear all my most fantasy-adventurer wardrobe items tomorrow, braid my hair, and be the most generic DnD ranger ever.

Which, if I'm being entirely honest, is not that far off from my usual look. But on the bright side, I have a handy animal companion ready to go, so that's something.

My problem is I do not know how to decorate houses for anyone but myself

The first apartment is one that I would want to live in. Vibrant colors. Lots of patterns and plants. The wood tones in the furniture don't need to match cuz who gives a shit? The chairs around the dining room table are all the chairs I like in the game that I always have trouble deciding between and this time I decided I would just use what felt right. Very few things are from the same sets. Random pictures and art work all over the walls. And very cluttered.

I dont know how to decorate any other way. Like I know that these other people probably wouldn't decorate their own homes this way. So I wanna do it in a way that makes sense. But I don't know how so it looks pretty empty and bland. Like I loosely based the interior of the second place off my grammys house. But idk how accurate it is and I ran out of steam really fast. I hyperfixated for like 6 hours on the other one.

The 4 apartments that are identical are best on the bottom floors but but the time I reached the top 2 floors id run out of steam so theyre extremely barebones and the family I moved in to play test (who will be the landlords) were all complaining that they were "dismally decorated" so rip to whatever random townies I rent those out to. But you know. Decorate your own damn apartments I cant do everything for you.

Yesterday I came home from 4 days of being away from tumblr, and was attempting to go back through my entire dash, when the "next" button just completely disappeared. I was only 1 day back, so I now have 3 days that I'll never see unless tumblr magically fixes itself. It's done this before, and I don't know what triggers it. I've already contacted support, but so far their help is "update your browser" "try the link in a different browser" etc etc etc and none of that helps because why the FUCK DOES YOUR WEBSITE HAVE THE ABILITY TO LOSE A CRITICAL FUNCTION??????

So it turns out that neurotypicals, when you have a class with them and someone flings a rubber band at them and you tell them that if they give you the rubber band you will use it to make a functional mini bow and arrow set with which they can shoot a qtip at the person who fling the rubber band at them, they don't actually expect you to come back with the mini bow and arrow set the next day

"Get yourself some new experiences" doesn't mean "spend thousands on travel" or "force yourself to be social in ways that make your skin crawl" or "visit a museum or art gallery and experience Real Culture, you heathen."

It means what it says. Do something new to you.

Play a few types of video games outside of your regular genres. Pick a topic of passing interest - maybe something you saw on a Tumblr post - and do a deep dive: read the wikipedia page about it, about a couple of noteworthy people related to it, track down some academic articles enough to know what the serious discussions are about. (Not necessarily enough to understand any conclusions.) Read a genre of book you don't normally touch: Romance, or classic fiction, or military, or spy stories, or a historical biography, or a celebrity pop trends book. Eat a type of food you haven't tried before. Watch a movie you've seen in gifsets on Tumblr that's outside of your normal genre interests. Learn to play a TTRPG. Browse Kickstarter on a topic you're interested in; put $1 each towards three or four campaigns and read the newsletters. Learn a small hand-held musical instrument. (You don't need to learn to play it well; this is just for you to try something new and different.) Make a recipe for a food you've heard about but have never eaten. Build something with legos. Or clay. Or take up origami. Or sew yourself a hat.

I have a friend who tries to learn a new low-tech "survival" skill every year.

Make yourself into someone who knows the world is huge and complex and you can still touch parts of it.

(grabs you by the shoulders) you have to make room for new experiences in your life. you have to go through the unpleasant work of leaving your comfort zone, even if just for a few minutes at a time. because if you don't, your brain will trick you into stagnation. you will start to believe that the world can barely fit you in it. but that's not true. it's the opposite way around. you can fit the whole word inside of you. your task is only this: to welcome it with open arms
