I can't stand this fandom... ofc it's an Ar.ya stan, they tend to be the most obsessed with whiteness. Why is Laena so light colored??? https://www.tumblr.com/arte072/742963345439817728/lady-laena-velaryon?source=share

They should not have drawn her that light considering that she is on the browner side for a mixed person (on the show), but it’s not surprising. This is the same fandom that fancasts Nettles as non-Black and consistently draws show!Daenaera as the lightest mixed person possible even though she could be dark skinned and fully Black🤷🏽‍♀️

Idk if you've been asked this before, but could you post your favorite arts of Arya (official or fanmade)?

I wish I had saved Arya fanart before the show premiered around 2011! There were so many really good ones that are hard to find now because the show and hence show Arya became popular and in many ways show Arya/Maisie influences how the character looks and the choice of clothing/costumes that artists use in their art.

Anyways, here are some fanart I could find and that I do like for what I imagine book Arya to look like:

For more recent art I have found on tumblr, I have to say I adore Laura's fanart in general and more specifically the Arya fanart. It's canonically accurate and at the same time unique and imaginative in the way it uses classical art/paintings in their fanart. Also, this one? ❤️❤️❤️

Blndraw's Arya Stark and Jonrya art are some of the best, happy little fanart I have seen in fandom!

Arte072's Arya art is superb!

I like that that the above artists draw Arya in very different ways and yet I can picture Arya in these images and enjoy them.

There are other artists on Tumblr and otherwise that I can't either recollect or find their art anymore so if Arya fans link in the comments Arya art they like, I can reblog those as well!
