It's surprising good news to hear that animation's influence and value in the industry is skyrocketting! It's a tale bound to uplift animators and make even more people see what we can bring to everyone!

The Animation Industry had always been there to bring us joy, and it's been a great help to us during the pandemic lockdown. As animation became the main thing on stream, Art Hub is here to encourage and inspire all animators (present and future) to stand your ground and continue to dream. Many people are waiting for your stories to turn in motion!

Even in our darkest hours, we can still find a way to upgrade our coping mechanisms. When the pandemic started in March 11, 2020, everybody stayed at home, hence the term “Lockdown” became a trend. But that didn’t stop the Animation industry to innovate us with how their popularity and cultural influence can please to the audience at home. Here are the reasons why and how Animation continued to make an impact during the Pandemic Era.

Animation, the main thing on stream, has always been with us since childhood. During the pandemic lockdown, we were all searching for entertainment as we were stuck in our own homes. When we least expected it, the animation industry was there to surprise us all! Now, I present to you the impact of the main thing on stream to people like us during the lockdown.

As animation played a pivotal role for all of us in the pandemic, it has proved its potential to be able to bring us even more value and entertainment. From its impact on the creative industry, the people who needed work opportunities during the tough time, and the people who needed it most during the pandemic, animation really was the main thing on stream!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

SERGIU DIȚĂ (1999) is a performer and emerging choreographer, interested in investigating gender stereotypes, the theme of masculinity-femininity, pop culture, clichés, formalism and multidisciplinary art forms. S. D. is currently studying for the Master’s Degree (MA) in Choreography at Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film (UNATC).

ANCA STOICA (1999) is a performer and emerging choreographer, interested in the social implies of art and in developing an unusual, even grotesque body. A. S. is currently studying for the Master’s Degree (MA) in Choreography at Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film (UNATC).

In 2021 organiseerden Pieter Kusters en Trudy Drost een tentoonstelling met een tiental kunstenaars van de Haarlemse Kunstacademie in Atelier BaZtille in Zoetermeer. Deze ervaring verdiende een vervolg, vandaar ook dat Haarlem's Parfum nu in het prachtige industriële gebouw aan het Papagaaisbolwerk in Leiden weer opnieuw haar spoor wil achterlaten. De samenstelling is veranderd vooral omdat de Haarlemse deelnemers nu ook aangevuld zijn met C.A. Wertheim en Pam Emmerik ( 2015). Beiden, en ook Pieter Kusters, studeerden aan Ateliers 63. Tentoonstelling waar de talenten over elkaar heen buitelen. HET WONDER WERKT! C.A. Wertheim, paardachtig. Flip Boerée, normale vogels in den vreemde. Yvonne Haven, sterke, soepele streken. Trudy Drost, DADA-krachtig. Iris Koolen, de meest fijne lijnen. Roos van Unen, hoopvolle tekens. Harry Tomesen, restanten vlogen. Anja Stam, lekker onbeleefd. Maud Ramaekers, raar ruig. Pieter Kusters, eenden van buiten. Pam Emmerik, lange laars , e.a.. Roel Ebbinge, zijdezachte fotografie. Leo Dooren, liefdevolle stugheid.
