In Chapter 1100 we're introduced to Alpha, and I've seen in some translations her name is 'Alifa' (?) I was wondering how it is in the japanese version and if its more clear she's a sister or something to Kalifa from Cp0

hmm, interesting question. i definitely do find it plausible that they could be related, especially given that we know kalifa’s father was also a cypher pol agent, and their names are more similar in japanese than in english, but not that similar.

alpha = アルファ/arufa

kalifa = カリファ/karifa

they do have the same number of syllables, they each start with an ‘a’ syllable and have a ‘r’ syllable in the middle, and both end with ファ/fa, so i can see why people would compare them. however, i feel pretty confident that alpha’s name is not supposed to be ‘alifa’- if it was it would be spelled like アリファ/arifa in the japanese. ‘alpha’ is probably the intended romanization- that’s what i assumed it was supposed to be when i was reading.
