Here’s one silly scene for you about Gakushuu having a little (Freudian) slip of the tongue, as he’s thinking about Karma (who he is not crushing on, dammit, he’s not!)

The setting: The student council of Kunugigaoka high is meeting to plan some kind of a spring event. It’s a beautiful spring day, and Gakushuu’s mind is strangely wandering. He stares out the window at the blooming plum trees and for some reason he just keeps on thinking about Akabane…

“…so, should we use the beginning of The Pillow Book for that? What do you think, Asano-kun?” one of the girls asks.

“Hmm?” He glances at her. “Well, it’s definitely a classic. Why not.”

“How does it start again?” someone asks. “Something about… early morning being the best time in the spring?”

Gakushuu sighs. How do they not remember this by heart? “Haru wa akabane,” he says.

There’s a moment’s silence. “What?” Ren breathes then.

Gakushuu frowns. Shouldn’t Ren of all people know this? “Haru wa aka—” he starts to repeat but pauses, his mouth open. What did he just say? “…akebono!” he exclaims. “Haru wa akebono! In spring, the early morning! Don’t you all know that?”

“You… did you say Akabane?” Araki asks slowly.

“Of course not! I said clearly…”

“Haru wa Akabane,” Ren says with a grin. “So spring equals to Akabane for you, huh?”

“You’ve a crush on him or something?” Seo asks, incredulous.

Gakushuu denies that quite vehemently, but in vain. Some of the girls look like they might start crying. It takes a while before they can focus on planning the event again. The idea to use The Pillow Book is scrapped.

(Okay, so, I confess: this scene is based on me suddenly forgetting the word akebono cause Akabane was the only word coming to my mind >_>)

he'll be spouting about how you're so cute when you're angry or blushing, looking at you with a seemingly innocent smile on his face. he likes watching you turn away with an embarrassed smirk, playing his remarks off as if they didn't amuse you. it's even better when you come up with something to hit him back with. sometimes, he'll genuinely be shocked—he'll be red in the face and looking at you with a grin, just because of how surprised he is. he tells you he's been rubbing off on you, as he crashes into you, toppling to the floor as you both hug. little does he know, you can feel the intensity of his heartbreak against your chest. well, it's better to keep it to yourself. he'd probably explode if you knew he lost his cool.

the way you bite your lip when you concentrate. how you fiddle with your clothes when you're nervous. the wordle game you do every day. he notices all the things you do, and it's just so endearing to him. you've noticed him zone out a few times while he's staring at you with a lovey-dovey smile on his face. it's honestly out of character for him to do so—he seems so serious and collected all the time. it's not like him to care so much about these tiny things. but because it's you—he'd give everything for you to know how much he cares. anything just so you can be content knowing how much he loves you.

I was going to draw someone based off of pavitr but I couldn't decide whether it should be nagisa or kaede

Koro sensei is the same one from the anime and somehow ended up in the society. He decides to dress up as spiderman for fun and he's allowed to stay as long as he behaves. He's like Peter.B in terms of being an educator. He goes there when he isn't teaching his class to bother gakuho (Miguel) there

Gakushuu is a student at a prestigious school and his dad is a professor there. He's gotten in a lot of fights with him because being spiderman caused him to miss some classes. Big five is the guy in the chair. The E class doesn't exist because Ikeda is alive (until he isn't) so he's not familiar with karma/Korosensei/Nakamura even though they had all met a variant of him at some point in their world

Karma is a Gwen variant and is basically the same but is more hated in his world because of his pranks lmao. He got his haircut the same way Gwen did. The peter that died in his world was his best friend nagisa and he didn't make friends until he met Gakushuu

I actually don't know a lot about punk culture so Nakamura is probably gonna be different but she lives in an oppressive society and ever since she became spiderman there she pretended to be carefree/silly like the anime to be some sort of beacon of hope there. She's actually serious/careful and like hobie she'd help people 👍

Honestly- he fell first and harder.

With Gakushū there could be sooo many tropes- academic rivals, enemies to lovers, friend to lovers, forbidden love, fake dating and there's probably more (book girly here🖐🏻)

He would deny any feelings he has for you at first. No exceptions. But he is also not stupid so he would probably google about the feelings🤦🏻‍♀️ and then realise: 'Uh! He likes you'

I doubt he would like do anything about it except if you are in A class he would spend more time helping you (even if you understand anything) as an excuse to be around you.

Would NOT tell the others from A class- absolutely not. At least at the start

In defense of Gakushuu's debate skills

In short: even though it would be pretty funny if he was bad at debating, Gakushuu in fact excels in that, too. I have just realized what the source of confusion is here. This messed up English translation:

Let's compare that to the original Japanese:

善 in fact refers to ethics, and that is also according to the character book Gakushuu's weakest subject.

弁 in the opposite corner, on the other hand, refers to debate (弁論). So the translation has somehow switched the places of those two.

In fact, it seems they've in general just put the words in random order in the translation, probably thinking it doesn't matter. Like, what is leadership in English is language in Japanese, skill is English, body is math...

Actually, this is what the original Japanese says:

Upper row: Japanese, English, math, science, phys. ed., technical skills, statistics Lower row: ethics, money, friends, appearance, debate

It's overall a pretty sloppy translation, in my mind. Like for example translating 体 as body, when it's got to refer to 体育, P.E. Just like 英 refers to 英語, English, and 数 to 数学, math.

...there sure were lots of stupid mistakes in the manga translation. I wonder if they fixed this one too for the later editions, like they fixed calling Nagisa's mom "Hiromi Nagisa" and the Reaper Yanagisawa (on their freaking character info pages!)

Asano Gakushu

“Shuu.”

“Yes?”

You gaze at the strawberry blonde, wanting to play with his hair for awhile now. And it's been itching your hands, curious of how soft and fluffy his hair might be.

“Quit staring and spit it out.”

It makes you internally roll your eyes at him, ofcourse there goes his sassy demeanor. Though, you should consider yourself lucky you managed to get to know this school stud.

“Can..I play with your hair?”

He freezes from writing. Possibly doing his homework or studying. This dude's an addict for studying — you wouldn't be surprised if he grew workaholic.

“Leave.”

He spoke. You felt dissapointed but respected his decision. Heading towards the kitchen of his residence to probably snack on something. Anything.

But before you could step away from the living room, you felt a hand squeezing your wrist and snap your head back to see a sight of Asano looking as if he's in distress.

“Are you leaving so soon?”

“Going to grab a snack.”

He felt angry at himself for thinking you'd leave just because he rejected your request. Moreover, why should he care about you!?

“Can you..let go?”

He felt his eyes widen and immediately let go of your wrist before clearing his throat then turning away.

“Make sure you wash your hands before and AFTER eating. You can play with my hair.”

You felt a twinge of happiness rush through you as he agreed.

“I don't want to feel your dirty unhygienic hands on me.”

—His additional sentence might've took away your slight hint of happiness, nevertheless you're not complaining.

Karma Akabane

This wasn't the first time you're playing with his hair, but you felt like trying something out.

As he rest and sitting still on the bench to watch Nagisa and the other's continue playing baseball, you decided to play with his hair. Combing it as if you were grooming it with most care possible.

“Karma,”

“Hm?”

You gaze down at your pockets, but he already figured out what you were implying. He's a know it all after all. What do you expect from this genius?

“Go crazy with it.”

And that's how he ended up having small braids and tiny bows with the color of white to have a little contrast of it from being on his hair.

He's not ashamed, not embarrassed about it. Though, he's most certainly not showing he's proud of it.

Yuma Isogai

He was getting ready for work as school hours ended not too long ago and you were walking with him along with fellow E-class students.

He excused himself in the bathroom and you him in his work uniform once he got outside, combing his hair.

You felt shy to ask him for a favor, but you wanted to help.

“I..can help you with that Yuma.”

“Oh, thank you!”

He accepts it with such an open mind. So you sat him down on one of the nearby chairs as you combed his hair and thought of what to do with his hair. Clip it? Style it? Braid it?

“Hey..Y/N?”

The way he called out your name made you snap back to reality and focused your attention on him.

“Yes?”

“If it's not much to ask..just a simple comb will do.”

You felt internally dissapointed, realizing you offered help to fix his hair but you obliged. You ended up combing his hair as you stroke the strands of his hair.

“Your hair is silky,”

“Ah, you're flattering me!”

You managed to hide the fact you were completely playing with his hair, rolling your finger with his hair with occasional pats before letting go.

karma's... happier than ever. weird, right?

he just thinks it's so funny that he has something asano wants and has no way to obtain. you!! there's not a chance karma's gonna let asano off so easily.

he's going to show off at the worst moments. kissing you in the library in front of asano's study group, on the way home, in class (although not nearly as show-offy. that would give him many detentions!!)

karma loves to see the look on asano's face when he sees you both together. asano definitely has a lot of jealousy in him!!

but, you spend enough time with asano—he had to have fallen for you somehow. so—obviously, karma's also got some jealousy. not that he doesn't trust you, it's just that he's not there to show you off to asano.

sometimes, when karma's not with you and he sees asano, karma'll loudly talk to his friends about your most recent date together. or, maybe, the one he's planning on taking you on.

obviously, though—if you tell karma to stop testing asano like he is, he'll tone it down. but he's also doing this to prevent his actual jealousy from getting to him, so he's going to continue at least a little bit.

karma does keep his eye on you, though. he wants to make sure asano isn't getting too hopeful. but, just in case he does, he'll always be around to steal you away with some stupid excuse.
