okay but imagine being one of the remaining lemurians alongside rafayel. someone who wasn't just the core of your society, but your center of gravity since the moment you two were brought into the world.

from the beginning the two of you had been inseparable. growing up together. spending your early days racing through the currents and your adolescents strategizing ways to evade the scholars and you studies. it was still too early to tell, but it felt so palpable that you two were destined to be bonded. a god and his centering sea star to always guide him back home. 

until the fated night when one current pulled rafayel too far out, the rivets of water too strong for you to hold him tight.

you think maybe sometimes, ages later that maybe if you hadn’t let go, if perhaps you had just let the current take you both then rafayel would not have ended up stranded on the shore. at least not alone. you don't know how the two of you would have figured things out, but it would have been together. it might not have been a perfect rescue story, but eventually, somehow you would have managed to lead him home. 

but that was not how the story went. instead, you had sped back to lemuria in a fit, frantic cries reaching anybody and everybody to raise awareness and action. but by the time the god of the sea had returned, it had been too late. 

for you both. 

now lifetimes later, fate has a funny way of stringing you along. 

gone are the corridors that used to be filled with laughter and mirth, replaced with barren and sands. the endless blue becoming a torrent red abyss. the series of changes were chaotic and traumatic, never the same but just as destructive. 

but one thing that never altered was her. the other force that never stopped pulling rafayel from your orbit, despite your own desperately trying to keep him in place. you keep yourself afloat thinking that at least as long as you were around, what was left of the lemurians would never truly lose their god. 

because while fate had given him a heart, you would still remain as his beacon guiding him back home. 

because despite everything, you've always been the most consistent figure in his life. 

its a shame that you just can't be the center of his affections. 

just maybe it might have been a different myth. 

asdfghjkld i just kept thinking about now how in the modern timeline, you both are in linkon city. where he’s an artist and you’re a historian. he preserves your culture through his paintings while you try to keep the actual artifacts of your home intact. i think over time, it feels like the two of you are just like this old married couple (though not really), but it gives the impression of an aged out loveless marriage. unable to escape each others orbit, though despite it all neither of you want to. rafayel can never seem to keep the mc close and you never seem to find anyone to bond close to your heart. maybe because you already gave it away and never got it back. idkidk im still trying to lock down the dynamic but god rafayel’s timeline is confusing. but the angst is immaculate. (im literally working on a piece thats giving faking dating dynamics)

I came up with “snow ablaze” for a ship name idea for Langa and Reki cause I wanted something other than renga tbh and I chose the word “ablaze” cause Reki kinda reminds me of fire and he really did set Langa’s heart on fire with his love for skateboarding so if anyone’s interested we could use that. Just another option

Mmkay so i watched bar starz and WHAT THE CRAP WAS THAT. It was so bad, yet so freakin funny! And can we talk about Jons ridiculous outfits? And his dolphin laugh? And the FREAKIN SHOWER SCENE like what was that?!?? I can never take Jon seriously again after that 😂

Cannon Mason stuff cause I need to develop him more lol

He has an older sister, Ashley. She's 27 and is pretty much his legal guardian.

She calls him mason jar.

His speaking voice is right in the middle of high pitched and deep. His voice actor would be Kerry Shawcross from Rooster Teeth. Specifically the character Neptune from the show RWBY.

He's decent at school, usually a B-range sometimes A student.

I know his singing voice sounds closest to Richard Eyler/okrikchard on YouTube.

He and lav are 16 when they meet. Junior year of high school.

His hair is naturally "like that" most of the time. He usually styles it with mousse.

So. His parents. His mom and dad weren't the emotional and caring type, which is the opposite of his kind and loving nature. They raised him with little compassion, and barely showed affection to him. His sister and grandma were the ones who tried to fill in the gaps. As the years went by, his parents were home less and less, and by the time he was 11, they were barely ever home, busy with his father's constant traveling for his business. He hasn't seen them since his 12th birthday. He doesn't really want to see them either...

He picked up singing because of his grandmother, who'd sing him to sleep all the time and loved music with all her heart, and that's also where he learned piano. Don't worry, she's alive, just in a retirement home.

He can't resist back rubs/scratches. He melts at the touch and he loves it so much.

He is a really good kisser lol

You should've seen him when someone called his best friend Kyle a slur, Mason was absolutely LIVID with anger. Twas not pretty. Or that one time Sheila called Lav a slut? Oh boy howdy, she would've had the hair ripped right out of her scalp, lemme tell ya.

He'd probably be either a teacher/professor or a computer programmer of sorts.

He hates the taste and smell of alcohol and it gives him anxiety to be around it.

Same thing with cigarettes.

His favorite food is either gala apples or dark chocolate brownies.

He can play piano and guitar with equal skill.

Lowkey loves to receive flowers.

Is a good boy, very respectful to others.

Has a Tumblr lol.

He's decent at hair styling, he probably played with Ashley's hair a lot as a little boy and when his parents weren't home he'd practice on her old dolls.

Would punch any type of homophobic person.

Loves to hold Lavender whenever he can. He's amazing at it haha.

The most times he kissed Lav was 49. Hormones....

I don’t want to redo my notes because thats a waste of time and the mistake is so small it’s unjustifiable.
