Hey there! If you consider yourself a fan of fiction horror podcasts, then I have a recommendation for you!

Spirit Box Radio is about Sam Enfield, who finds himself replacing renowned psychic the Illustrious Madame Marie as host of the Advice and Community Segment, a show for witches, arcanists, and the magically-inclined. However, Sam seems to have no penchant for the Arcane Arts, and in his struggles to be a good host he finds out that the show may be haunted not by ghosts, but by secrets.

The show has the creeping sense of unease of The Magnus Archives, the weird whimsy of Welcome to Night Vale and the LGBTQ+ representation of Hello from the Hallowoods!

If this sounds like something you'd like, then I have good news for you: The show has completed two whole seasons and a third (and final!) one is in the works, but it needs your help!

The show is trying to raise £6500 by October 28th to pay everyone who works on it, like it was able to do in its second season thanks to the previous crowdfunder. Please consider supporting if you've got the means!

And of course don’t forget John, the character who Jonny - the creator - is playing in upcoming podcast Re: Dracula. You need to remember that Rusty Quill and the transcripts really like to spell Jon (you remember, the main character) as John. Yeah, yeah, so don’t worry, it’s not hard to remember at all.

Niall says his upcoming show will be about an hour and a quarter long and confirmed that it will be live for the London stream, then other time slots will get the replay (you can buy tickets for whichever time slot you prefer). He also said Derby County are “much closer” to being in the premier league than 1D are to a reunion which might be the most discouraging reunion prediction we've heard yet, so much for the old trope of Niall being ready to jump back onstage with his boys! OUCH. He and Ashe had a long interview with Zach Sang about Moral of the Story in which he talked about being kicked out of the US and not currently being allowed into the US, while wearing a US flag jumper, which he displayed while urging us to “vote for America” Nov 3. Ashe nicknamed him Dusty Horan and joked about doing a musical project called Dusty and Ash and they cackled uncontrollably for a while about that, and he posted making cute faces and thanking us for buying tickets (officially available for general sale as of today.)

Gigi posted pics of some baby onesies that were apparently a gift from Tan France with 'zigi's girl' embroidered in sparkly thread on the front. I'm sorry, does this baby just literally NOT HAVE a name?! Does NO ONE know what it is? Zayn was active today as well but was no help with that; he just tweeted about boxing and posted a picture of himself, yes he POSTED A PICTURE OF HIMSELF! It's a behind the scenes pic from the photoshoot for his recent new spotify pic, he's outdoors with a purple shirt and matching hair streak. But was this pic selected for reasons besides simply showcasing his pretty face? Text in the direct foreground on someone else's shirt, larger than Zayn himself : 'something to believe in.' The caption is, ofc, 'BETTER.'

Cam posted a line from Changes, her upcoming collab song with Harry, and tagged the post Holmes Chapel. “You're not the only one who wants a way out,” it reads. Her album will be out Oct 30. Gemma and Anne posted about Harry's Billboard Award win, Fine Line went platinum, and the person who told us a year ago about Harry DMing her encouragement as she struggled with IVF fertilization posted the message from him (“wishing you the best of luck, I hope everything works out for you.”) That tactic didn't, but she says she will be fostering, so kids are still on the horizon for her. I guess Harry won't get naming rights after all but his naming legacy is alive and thriving with 'Dusty' coming back into play.

Liam posted himself in terrfying evil clown makeup, and I'm not going to say us clowns don't deserve that but I will say I did not want it, YIKES, but brace yourself: there may be more terror in store for us. “There’s more of that to come in Act 3” apparently. But we got less scary news from Liam as well, he's added a second opener, 18 year old youtube singer Carly Gilbert, and he's teamed up with Addy Roberts (the youtube MUA whose random DM he recently replied to and then let her call him and put him in her video) and they will be awarding $1000 to the best makeup Halloween look as part of Liam-oween, which is exciting! The winner will be announced on the show.

Yanno it’s really shitty for Ashlyn to always have so much hate in her mentions but also imagine how it is for ali to always see ash being torn down and overlooked… like ali sees first hand the blood, sweat and tears that ash puts in and alis been there for so many moments of disappointment and injury. Like ali has to see the person she loves fight through so much adversity and never get the credit she deserves. Ashlyn can’t even win save of the week or save a freaking PK without someone coming at her and saying she’s overrated or trash or some shit…. Im just tired of it and ali and ash deserve so much better. I wouldn’t blame them if they took a step back from SM because the ‘fans’ and trolls have just gotten out of hand, it’s so awful and it needs to stop

Honestly, I never even thought about how much it would affect AK. Like, Ash has learned to brush it off/block out the noise, etc., but I can't imagine how much anger and hurt AK feels watching her wife get torn apart over every little thing she does (and even things she doesn't do). Like to be the woman who stands beside Ash, day in and day out, watching as she throws everything she has into the game, from her body to her mind, and never get the recognition or appreciation from anyone, regardless of whether they're the federation or "fans". She's given the national teams (youth and senior combined) more than half her life, given everything to the Pride even when other players fail to show up or do the same, keeps her head down and doesn't complain or get mad (unless at herself), and she is grateful and humble in every opportunity she does get on the field.

I especially think back to 2016, when distance came into it and Ash was becoming lowkey concerning with how many depressing tweets and IG posts she would make, and I remember that one post AK retweeted which was like "you matter to me" or something after Ash posted that long post about her self-worth and mental health. She's always worn her heart on her sleeve and it's taken advantage of by so many people (again, the "give an inch, take a mile" phrase Ash mentioned really sticks with me here). She is so selfless and has a massive heart under her hard exterior, and people love to paint her to be this self-indulgent, vain, supervillain that is shit at soccer. Not to mention, Ash could barely celebrate her best season because those were the years AK was kicked off the roster and she put herself aside to help AK train, supported her coaching career, and picked her up (literally at times) to get her through every day. She wasn't the nicest person to Ash back then either, and I doubt Ash minded, because at the end of the day Ash cares so deeply about her family, about her relationships, that soccer takes a back seat for so much of it. She's said it so many times that this is her career, but it doesn't bleed into her family life. I feel gutted for her in every interview when she beats herself up with the "I've failed miserably" or the "I haven't been the best daughter/sister/friend" or even "I've disappointed a lot of people". She is so hard on herself and yet is still so kind to others. This is the same woman who's faced countless criticism, countless struggles from poverty to addiction to injuries to mental health challenges, and she still treats every day like a gift, not a burden.

I think the thing that gets me the most about this Ash slander is how no one has ever stood up for her. She's gotten all this hate, all of this criticism, but when AK was dropped from the team, she got support. When Hope said what she said, Carli spoke up for her. Whenever a teammate gets down in the dirt, Ash defends them. She spoke out against H*nkle and the homophobia. She defended AK when she was left off the roster (though more subtle and more professionally). Like she's always standing up for others, being the big guy for the little guy, and yet no one really extends the same thing back to her (except now AK, and again in a very professional way). Should Ash be #1? No, things happened and she got injured at the wrong time and it was all a mix of different things, but she made her peace with it. She doesn't tell the media that it's disrespectful she got snubbed - she instead supports the crap out of Alyssa/AD/Jane and wants them to succeed because she's a team player, not an individual player. She cares about them as humans and would do anything for them in that supporting role. You could genuinely not ask for a better teammate than Ash.

I don't know how AK does it, watching the woman she loves get bullied on social media and be cast aside from opportunities with no valid reason. Every achievement Ash has is overshadowed by rabid fans either "defending her" and making things worse by making her look out to be an untouchable God of some sort, or the anti-Ashlyn "fans" who are just out to replay that same clip of her conceded goal from that Romania game, or outright saying disgusting and nasty things to her (and tagging her?? Like why the fuck are you tagging them in it, what bullshit). Both ways it's terrible; the people defending her so violently only make her look worse and it only encourages people's hatred of her or disrespect of her actual ability.

It's so funny people weave all these storylines and narratives for her but Ash remains unbothered (at least publicly) and I think this irritates those morons into posting more frequently with the intent to grab her attention or get her to talk back (which she is far too professional and compassionate to do). It's a shitty situation all around, but it's truly depressing to watch her get taken apart when she's done absolutely nothing wrong to any of those people.

‘ashtonirwin started a live video.’

Ashton didn’t often go live on Instagram, but this shelter in place order had left him ultimately bored - writing a song every day before noon, sure, but anything after that was a blur.  Occasionally he would have interviews or live-streams with the band, but on days without that he was left alone with his thoughts, and his thoughts weren’t always the safest place to be; so talking to fans it was. 

It was going well so far, simply asking fans how their quarantine was going - bringing some of them into the livestream so he could talk to some face to face.  One girl in particular had caught his attention when they began to discuss hobbies she had picked up during the time she’d spent at home.

“Yeah, I’m learning to garden.  I have a tomato plant that is just starting to sprout actual tomatoes, so that’s kind of exciting,” She had said, a nervous laugh escaping.

“Well, I would hope that your tomato plant is sprouting tomatoes, it would be a little concerning if it was growing something else,” Ashton replied with a chuckle, the girl giving a small shrug but still laughing along with him.

“You should look into it if you’ve got the room at your house, I bet it would feel rather rewarding to be able to cook something with your own fresh vegetables.”

“Would save me quite a bit of money too.  Can I grow yeast? I’d like to learn how to make my own bread but here in L.A. you can’t find yeast anywhere.”

The conversation continued like that for a few minutes more, Ashton taking only a couple more fans into the livestream after that to talk to before he decided he should probably do something else productive with his day.  Something like learning to garden. 

It surprised Ashton the things you were able to order online during this time - soil being the main thing.  He also read that saving coffee grounds would help, and he was excited at the idea of his insane coffee habit wouldn’t be completely useless.  He ended up buying seeds for tomatoes, mint, sunflowers, lemongrass, and zucchini.  The lemongrass and mint was specifically for Calum, realizing he would be able to dry the plants out once he had harvested them so he could make the man his very own tea.

When his package finally arrived, Ashton spread the packages out, sliding them across the table as though he was some card dealer in Las Vegas.  Thinking the fans would find it amusing, he took a picture of the spread and added it to his story with the caption of ‘pick a card, any card…’.  Maybe it would only be funny to him, but it did prompt a fire reaction from Michael.

It seemed as though the reaction from fans were positive though, them taking to Twitter to let him know their excitement about his new endeavour.  That’s where his weekly livestreams began.  He would show everyone the progress he was making with his plants, and just in general him chatting with fans.  Ashton never really thought of how refreshing it could be to just talk to the fans, without the worry of time restrictions or anyone’s personal safety in the way; in fact, it left him rather inspired, loving their fans even more if it were at all possible.

A particularly warm day in L.A. left Ashton wondering if he should go out to the garden that day - but it was the day he would normally livestream, and he was excited to show what he was up to that day.  Ashton wanted to plant another tomato plant, and also the lemons on his infamous tree had enough for him to make some lemonade so he was going to go through that as well.

Clad in some cut off jeans, or as Calum so affectionately called them his jorts, and a white tank top, he pulled up the live option on Instagram and waited for the people to begin to filter in before he started to speak.

“Hey guys! Just gonna wait for more of you to filter in before I actually head outside, but I thought that since you guys love my lemon tree so much, I’d make some lemonade.  Fuck, I sound like a YouTuber.  Is that gonna be my next career, is just YouTube tutorials on how to make shitty lemonade?” Ashton laughed to himself, slicing the lemon so he could juice it, ignoring the comments he saw about murdering his lemon children.

It didn’t take him long to make the lemonade, making mild conversation with the fans while he stirred in a little bit of sugar and some cheat mint he had ordered while waiting for his own to grow.

“Alright, now that I’m waiting for that to cool, probably best we go outside and check on those tomatoes, hm?” 

It had been weird at first, talking to himself; but he quickly realized that he talked to himself anyways, even without the phone in front of him, so it couldn’t have been too weird for anyone who could overhear him.

“So I wanted to plant another tomato plant today, because everyone can use a friend right now, you know?” He looked into the camera, a smile spreading across his face when he saw the flood of cute little emojis that followed.  “M’gonna be like the Bob Ross of gardening. No mistakes, only happy accidents or whatever it was he said.”

Ashton began to work away at his garden, building up a sweat in the process.  It wasn’t until he leaned back, glancing at his phone did he see a text from Michael flash across the top.

‘Mate, Crystal said stop thirst trapping the fans.’

Ashton’s brow furrowed, unsure of what the text was saying, “Okay so I just got a text from Michael - what’s thirst trapping? And am I currently doing it?”

Of all the comments that followed, he noticed one that said ‘I mean… I’m not gonna say either way but take a look at yourself and get back to us’.  Another one told him that it was when someone wears something in order to provoke risque texts, or gain attention from someone.

Ashton pouted, looking down at his appearance.  He was kind of sweaty, but he didn’t think that the fans would mind him being covered in dirt and sweat, it’s not as though they had to smell him.  Though, he would admit that he needed a shower. 

“Well, since my tomato plant has been… planted next to its’ friend, and I’m apparently thirst trapping you all, I should probably go shower and clean up.  Is me mentioning a shower thirst trapping as well?” Ashton rubbed his face over his hands, a small huff leaving his lips, “I don’t know… Fellow youths, tweet me and lemme know.  Also, may hold a poll later on what to name these guys.” He flipped the camera around, struggling for a moment, to show the sunflowers that were starting to sprout, “M’thinking of naming one Denise.  Just seems like a Denise.”

After his small speech was over, he ended the stream, grinning to himself.  He hadn’t meant to show off his body in such a way, but it was funny to know that even with him hardly doing anything but be himself they still lost their shit.

Glancing around at his garden, he felt himself swell with a mild sense of pride.  He was still a ways off from seeing any fruits of his labour (literally), but it made him feel good knowing he did something with his time at home, instead of slipping further into his mind which wasn’t always the kindest to him.

Ashton realized that when he was gardening, it was similar to songwriting in a way where all of his self doubts and fears went away and he could just pour himself into it - the reward being well worth the risk in the end.

Once his shower was done, he sat outside in his backyard, sipping his lemonade and enjoying the sunshine - realizing that having to stay home wasn’t all too bad, if it meant he could reset his mind, and do some small part to help how he could during that time.

Biggest disappointment: Getting into new fandoms always means less attention for older projects in previous fandoms, so not getting some of my older fics updated/finished before my brain was pulled in new directions. (Although that’s always an ongoing struggle.)

Biggest surprise: “Baby Roach” was a lot more popular than I expected it to be, considering my other Witcher fics didn’t get nearly as much attention.

Y/N wasn’t any stranger to having impromptu hair dying sessions. If anything, she was so used to them over the years, especially when her closest friends were on tour and she’d have a text asking if she could fly out to deal with Michael’s hair.

So when she woke up to the text from Ashton, asking for her to drop by a bit earlier than planned, she found herself trying to work out what could’ve set her boyfriend to ask her that. She briefly wondered if he’d planned a surprise, but there was nothing big happening, no announcements to make.

Her stomach dropped for a second as she wondered if he’d seen the tweets that she’d seen, fans having dug through her accounts and found old photos of her with ex girlfriends. She hadn’t discussed with Ashton her sexuality and she could feel the fear bubble in her stomach as she got ready to go.

So when she turned up to his home, wrapped up in one of his hoodies that he’d lost to her long ago she couldn’t help but giggle at the excited hug she was swept up in, her nerves settling at the positive reaction from him.

“You saw me two days ago.” She deadpanned him and he shrugged, peppering her face in kisses until he heard the giggle he adored.

“Two days too long. Your job sucks for sending you on that trip, especially when you’ve got such big plans.”

“And real bad thoughts.” She couldn’t help herself, and his responding grin always made it worth it in her eyes.

His lips met hers briefly, not long enough to set them on a different path, but enough to remind her that she was loved. It was a kiss that she loved because as he pulled away, she found herself leaning towards him, a pout on her lips.

He grinned, meeting her lips once more before pulling away and lacing her hand with his.

“C’mon beautiful. We’ve got a date in the bathroom.” Immediately she could feel the heat in her cheeks and thanked her lucky stars he wasn’t paying attention. “I decided I wanted to change things up a bit.”

Her mind was running away with all sorts of scenarios and she knew that whatever he had in mind would be something different, but just the thoughts that appeared sent her body feeling the butterflies.

As he pulled her into the bathroom, she found herself mildly disappointed when she spotted the hair dye boxes before excitement flooded her for a different reason.

“You’re finally letting me dye your hair?” She knew it was obvious, but she just wanted to confirm the image that she was actually seeing. For years she had pleaded to put some colour in his curls, even though she adored his honey blonde locks.

His answering grin caused her to throw her arms around his neck as she laughed.

“About fucking time! Right, shirt off, park your ass and I’m going to grab my kit I’ve kept here.” She kissed his cheek briefly, disappearing from the bathroom and rushing down the stairs, leaving a very confused boyfriend in her wake.

When she returned with a small bowl, dye brush and black latex gloves, he could only raise an eyebrow as he pulled his shirt off, rolling his eyes at her beaming smile.

“Are you my professional hairdresser now?” He teased her and she shrugged, meeting his lips with hers once more before she began to mix up the red, making sure that it was the right consistency before she turned to Ashton and made him sit on the edge of the tub, his feet resting in the tub so she could start from the back.

They didn’t need to talk as she began to put the colour in, using the brush with ease before tapping his shoulder, a silent request for him to spin around so she could do the front parts of his hair.

Even though he could see the concentration on her face, Ashton could also see the underlying worry on his girlfriends features. His own worry seemed to bubble in the pit of his stomach.

“What’s going on in that pretty mind of yours, sweetheart?” She could see his eyes studying her and she figured now would be the best time to talk about it, before one of two things happened. Him seeing it or one of the boys seeing it and passing it onto him

“Fans have been tagging you in screenshots recently.” Her hesitation stopped him from making any kind of silly comment. He could see that she was struggling with her words, so his hand reached out, resting on her hip; his thumb finding its way under her shirt and rubbing soft circles into her skin.

He could see her shoulders relax slightly.

“So I’m being tagged in screenshots?” He prompted and she let out a breath of air.

“Screenshots of some of my previous relationships.”

“To make me jealous?” His tone was curious. He knew that she’d had previous relationships that ended on good terms, that she still talked to some of her exes now and then. At first he’d been worried until she had explained to him that she wasn’t likely to fall in love with anyone else considering she was in love with him.

That had been their first ‘I love you’s’.

“Previous relationships with girls.” She finally added on and he didn’t freeze up, or feel any kind of worry in his chest. His thumb continued the circular motions as she finished off his hair quietly and set the timer for forty five minutes.

They moved from the bathroom to the kitchen, his hand refusing to let go of hers.

“Why were you so worked up sweetheart?” His question was soft and he watched as tears began to roll down her cheeks.

Immediately he pulled her closer so that she was in front of him, his free hand coming up to wipe the tears away.

“I was just so worried about how you’d react. I’m used to harsh comments, to nasty remarks. But they were so determined to out me to you before I was even comfortable telling you myself.” And he could see how it was hurting her.

“Sweet girl. C’mere.” He murmured, pulling her closer and resting his chin against the top of her head, his lips pressing briefly into her hair. “I’m sorry you felt like you needed to hide that side of you from me. And I’m sorry that you felt pressured to tell me before I found out from some shitty fans.”

Her tears were slowing down, her grip around his waist tightening marginally.

“I’ve never known when the right time to tell partners that I’m bisexual. If I told straight off the bat, they’d ghost me. If it was so far into a relationship, they’d resent me and say I was cheating on them and giving them a valid reason to dump me.” She whispered and his own arms tightened around her.

Pulling back slightly, he moved a hand to under her chin, coaxing her to look up. When his eyes met hers, he could see the worry, the fear in her eyes and so instead of words, he leaned down and kissed her.

It was soft, slow at first, his tongue tracing her bottom lip. They parted under his touch and his tongue brushed against hers. There was no heat, no rush. Just soft and slow as he held her that little bit tighter. When he pulled pulled away, his forehead resting against hers, she let out a shaky breath of air.

“I’m none of them, I love you no matter what. I’ll support you regardless, even if you’re in a straight passing relationship.” And if her heart wasn’t bursting before, she knew it was now as she tried to wipe the tears.

“How the fuck did I get so lucky with you, Ash?” He found himself grinning as he brushed his nose against hers.

“The universe decided to give you someone who would actually be a decent human being?” This made her giggle as the timer went off on her phone and she absolutely beamed up at him.

“Time to wash the dye out, handsome.”

He grinned before using his grip around her, lifting her up, making her shriek in laughter, her arms automatically wrapping around his neck, trying to be careful of the hair dye as she wrapped her legs around his waist.

It took him a second, bouncing her up slightly so that his hands could shift from her waist to her thighs and he kissed her briefly before making his way up to the bathroom.

“You’re joining me in the shower, princess. No arguments.” He grinned and her cheeks warmed up as he finally dropped her onto her feet, his lips on her cheek before she pulled away, a grin on her lips.

“Let me wash the hair dye out first.”

Once they were finished up in the shower, taking far too long with Ashton’s distracting lips as she tried to wash the dye from his hair, they’d migrated to the couch, his body lay on hers, head resting on her stomach as they watched a TV show.

Unable to help herself, she snapped a photo, his head turning towards her only seconds after and he smiled, making her snap another one.

“I think the red really suits you.” She murmured softly, her fingers running through his hair. His eyes closed momentarily at her motions, a soft hum escaping him before asking to see the photos.

“Can I post them?” Her question was quiet and he smiled.

“Of course.”

So she went to Instagram, typing the caption before clicking ‘share’ and putting her phone to the floor, enjoying the moment with Ashton as they shut off from everyone else.

It was hours later when they were stood in the kitchen, wine glasses in hand whilst she attempted to cook, did he bother to check his social media. And he soon saw what she meant. There were accounts that were repeatedly sending him the same screenshots of photos of her with another girl. It was the comments of ‘aren’t you worried?’ that got to him though.

“I’m gonna settle the dust because apparently people are more fussed about your sexuality than they are about my new hair colour.” This made her snort.

“I’m more interesting than Ashton Irwin? I’m flattered!” He stared at her for a full second before they both started laughing, her body hunched over the pan as she tried to keep herself upright, placing the wine glass on the side.

Ashton couldn’t help himself as he snapped a photo of her and took to Twitter.

‘I see y’all trying to out my girlfriend, sucks to be you. I know and still love her, every part of her. Catch me and my bi badass girlfriend at the next pride parade xoxo’ He attached the photo before sending the tweet.

Once they were finished eating, he told her what he’d done. He didn’t expect her to straddle across his lap and kiss him, but he certainly couldn’t complain.

“You’re the fucking best. I love you so much.”

“I love you too, princess.”

The first character you loved:

Harry: I was that kid. I identified with Harry a ton when I was young. I was more of a Hermione, but I wanted to be Harry—brave and known for being oh-so-loyal and daring. 

King Richard: From the beginning, King Richard was funny, but the show did so much work to put him through this tremendous but realistic character arc, and I loved it all.

Arya: The young girl who wants to fight with swords instead of being a lady? Of course I fell for her immediately.

The character you never expected to love so much:

Ginny: I started being a Ginny Weasley fan out of defense for the Ginny/Harry ship. And after defending her again and again, I realized that she had become my favorite character, the stunning and daring hex queen, the Holyhead Harpy as illustrated by @potterbyblvnk. 

Madalena: She is my favorite queen. I tweeted at Mallory Jensen about how I was in love with her face and she liked my tweet. Madalena is hot and one of my all-time favorite villains.

Sansa Stark: I’ve believed since season 3 that Sansa Stark is going to take it all. She’s a Princess Elizabeth parallel with her red hair and political savvy, and every major city in Westeros will be ready to rise for her. 

The character you relate to the most:

Ginny: Her love and protectiveness over her friends and fierce defense of who she is—it’s all I want to be.

King Richard: King Richard wants to do his best and make his friends, and sometimes he gets hits for being too naive or too positive, but his belief comes through.

Arya: I identify with her struggle between being strong and being vulnerable, between walling herself off from her own self and struggles and embracing her identity and past even when it hurts.

Character you’d slap:

Snape: It would make me really happy to slap Snape. Preferably right after that time he bullies Hermione about her teeth.

Galavant: There are several times when he earned it.

Show-Jaime: There’s a line to slap Joffrey and other villains I’m sure—I would prefer to use my slap for Jaime. In the books, he has his shit together when it comes to Ceresi and his character development. In the show, they skipped that, and I hate it. I’d slap him to bring him back around and send him up North to Brienne.

Character you liked at first, but don’t like anymore:

Snape: I always thought Snape was a good guy. I thought it would be a more interesting story, and I bought into the “Dumbledore trusted him” as well. But the idea that we should forgive him all as a result of his backstory has made me increasingly against him as a character.

Isabella: She increasingly became a less interesting character in season two, largely because she was brain-washed for most of it. 

Daenerys: Her original arcs were fascinating and awesome, but she’s never had a very good plan. Her vision was always too big, and I think her winning Westeros would be too obvious. In the books, Daenerys sees in her prophetic vision the Iron Throne, but it’s all ash. She will bring Westeros to destruction. Someone else will actually rule it afterwards. 

The characters you didn’t like at first, but do now:

Draco Malfoy: I don’t actually like Draco, but I do believe that he’s a great character, and I pity him. He’s a great example of how evil can twist innocent children into monsters, and how they suffer for it. 

Gareth: He seemed like an obvious trope at first, the guy who just likes conquest and fighting. But I liked the development of his friendship with King Richard and how a bond between two opposites can hold fast.

Tyrion Lannister: As the story unfolds, you learn a lot about his backstory. He’s smart and witty, and is kind and just to characters like Sansa even when it gets him in trouble. He actually develops well, and becomes a hero rather than a villain as he rebels more against his father and the Lannister creeds.

Get To Know Me Tag

So I attempted to make a YouTube video doing this but it turns out that, as I predicted, I am much more confident behind the camera. I don’t tend to enjoy showing my face all that much. I thought that a pretty cool alternative was to write instead. So here we go I guess. 

1. What is your middle name? 

I happen to be a deprived child as I do not have a middle name. But I do get what seems to be a pretty complicated first name but I’m not sure that that’s much of a luxury. It makes things difficult in Starbuck’s haha. 

2. What is your favourite colour? 

My favourite colour is like a dark emerald/forest green. If I have fellow nerds reading this, then you will probably understand me when I say the best way for me to describe the colour is to call it ‘Slytherin green’. (FYI, I’m not a Slytherin, I just love that sort of dark green.) 

3. Who was your first best friend? 

Her name was Rachel. We went to the same childminder and when we were very very young we used to argue a lot. We grew out of that stage and we were best friends for many years. Unfortunately, I’m not in contact with her anymore.

4. How tall are you?

I literally just went to measure myself for this question. I’m exactly 5′4″. To be honest, I’m pretty proud of that as my family are all either short or average height, so to fall under average is a privilege with my genetics. 

5. Cats or dogs? 

Cats. 100%. Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs. They are pretty energetic though and cats are pretty chill and therefore much more on my wavelength. Not as much as tortoises are though. Those guys are awesome. 

6. Funniest moment throughout school? 

Okay so I presume this excludes College which is a shame because I’ve got some really awesome moments from College. So if we are talking high school and primary school, I’m kind of at a loss. I didn’t have a particularly happy childhood, but that’s a whole other story. If I had to pick, I’d probably go with my maths lessons. I was in set 1 so people assumed that our classes were boring and hard work, but actually, in year 9, we had the most awesome teacher. We’d basically spend the entire lesson gossiping and the teacher would tell us some funny stories about herself. The one I remember best was about her irrational fear of rice. (I don’t even know aha.) Also, when I got diagnosed with severe depression, she was super supportive. Turns out that she struggled with it herself, so she completely understood. What a legend, I hope she’s doing well. 

7. How many countries have you visited? 

Okay so I’ll have to count. I live in England and I’ve visited Wales, Ireland, France, Spain, Ibiza, Minorca, Majorca, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Zante, Crete, Italy, Germany, Japan and Switzerland. I think that’s it, although I have visited some of these places multiple times. So I think that’s 15 altogether. 

8. Are you in/have you been to College? 

Well I’m using the English definition of College which is generally further education for 16-18 y/olds. But this can differ depending on your educational background. So I’m starting College in September. I’ve just finished school which is an odd and kind of sad thing. But I’m doing a course in TV and Film production which is very exciting! 

9. What was your favourite/worst subject in high school?

This is a fun question. My favourite(s) were always Physics, Maths, Art, Music and Drama. I hated the acting part of drama but coming up with ideas for productions was always super fun and interesting for me. My worst subject(s) were always English and P.E. Thank the lord above that I don’t have to do those subjects anymore. I love writing and I love reading but I hate being told what to write/read. And I think if someone ever asks me to analyse text again I’ll run away to the north pole and live as an eskimo. We won’t even get on to the subject of P.E. I don’t want that pain to be brought to the surface. 

10. What is your favourite drink? 

Coffee. Yes! I love it more than I love myself. Soy lattes. Honestly so amazing. But I do like the odd smoothie, tea, and sparkling water. 

11. What is your favourite animal? 

Essentially all of them. But if I had to pick I’d probably go with Pigs. But I do love Cows, Goats, Degus, Bearded Dragons, Tortoises, and Cats. Ooh also Gorillas. I really want to hug a Gorilla. Probably one of my life goals. I clearly have high expectations of my life. 

12. What is your favourite perfume? 

I do love the Strawberry scented one from The Body Shop. And Si by Giorgio Armani smells lovely and reminds me of my mum which is nice. Also Eccentric from Victoria Secret smells heavenly. 

13. Tea or Coffee? 

Coffee would be my first choice most of the time but tea never fails to cheer me up when I’m down. So I want to say both. But I think I’d find it harder to live without coffee than tea. 

14. What would you name your children? 

I haven’t really thought about it. I’d maybe say Alistar, Belle, Luna, or Tom? I’m sure I’ll find more names that I like though in the future. 

15. What sports do you/have you played? 

I’m not a massive fan of sports to be honest but I enjoy swimming, diving, biking and badminton occasionally. I went through a very sporty stage where I was in the Basketball, Football, Netball and Badminton team. Ah the days when I had energy and was productive. How far ago they feel. I also LOVE dancing but I mainly do it when I’m home alone as I’m possibly the least coordinated person on Earth. I can’t even run without it looking like I’m on some form of recreational drug. 

16. What is your favourite book? 

Reasons To Stay Alive by Matt Haig. Matt is a brilliant writer and a lovely guy. I met him a few weeks back. It was a privilege. There are very few people that I feel comfortable around from the get go, but he was one of them. In this book he talks about mental heath. It’s incredibly moving and always makes me feel incredibly lucky to be alive, even though I don’t always feel that way. If you don’t know him, check his work out, follow him on twitter etc etc. (@matthaig1) He also writes novels and I’m currently reading his latest, ‘How to Stop Time’ It’s shaping up to be extraordinary. (Have I sold him enough yet?)

Ahh. How am I supposed to choose?! I am such a movie nerd. Okay. My top 5 are Girl Interrupted, Fight Club, Sweeny Todd (the one with Johnny Depp), Pitch Perfect 2 and the live action Beauty and The Beast. (I would feel mean picking one and not all of the Harry Potter Movies.) I’m going to have to choose the live action Beauty and The Beast simply because it’s fun, uplifting and so beautifully made. (Also the soundtrack is heaven.)   

19. Are you single or taken? 

Single. 

20. What’s your idea of an ideal first date? 

Maybe coffee and a posh night out in London. Like a jazz bar and maybe a theatre performance. Honestly, I doubt that would ever happen, but I suppose a girl can dream. If I get to choose who the date is with could I opt for Anna Kendrick? Kind regards. 

21. How many boyfriends/girlfriends have you had? 

Excluding my primary school boyfriend, 4. There was someone I met in hospital, someone I met at school, someone I met online through a mutual friend, someone that lives round the corner from me. 

22. Favourite memory from childhood? 

Erm... I’m sure there’s something... Well I do always miss being young and innocent and waking up early and walking to school with my parents. The birds would tweet and the sun would shine and I’d have lovely chats with the teachers and my childminder. And my dad would pick me up and we’d bike home and I would watch 64 Zoo Lane and eat Ice Cream. Ah the good old days. Ooh and Christmases and trips to Cornwall. Not gonna lie I still enjoy all of this stuff. I guess childhood wasn’t too bad. Well, for the first 7 years at least.

23. Do you speak any other languages and how well? 

I don’t. I can do the odd phrase in Spanish, Italian, Greek, French, German and Japanese at a push. I won and award for my French around 5 years back. But I’ve slept a lot since then so I don’t remember all that much. Also I had a terrible French teacher a few years back who put me off the subject for life. Let’s just say she wasn’t my biggest fan. 

24. Do you have any siblings? 

I have a step sister. But that’s all. She’s pretty amazing though so. Also she’s currently living in Japan which means I get cool stuff because it turns out that Japan are way ahead the UK in creating top notch backpacks. 

25. How would you describe your fashion sense? 

Band merch/Harry Potter tees, jeans and hoodies, pretty much. I also own the odd flannel. Doc Martens, Converse and Vans are the footwear of choice. Beanies are pretty cool too. For colder days denim jackets and ‘leather’ jackets are my jam. So basically the casual lesbian look is my style. Way to fit the stereotype, Bri. 

26. What is your favourite restaurant? 

Okay, I have three. YoSushi, Handmade Burger Company and Bella Italia. All three have amazing vegan options. Also they all hold really happy memories for me. 

27. What are some of your favourite TV shows? 

Ooh, I like quite a few. My number one would have to be The Big Bang Theory. I also love Sherlock, Orange is The New Black, Miranda, 13 Reasons Why and Stranger Things. 

28. PC or Mac? 

Mac all the way. I have nothing against PC but I recently invested in a mac and it is my life. I find it easier to use and I much prefer the layout. 

29. What phone do you have? 

I have an Iphone 6S in rose gold. (With a really cute cat case, just saying.) 

30. What is one of your bad habits? 

Biting my nails. I’ve done it for my whole life and I can’t, nor do I have any intention to stop.

#TMIishTuesday #49 - Am I gay because of...

Hey, Announcement before we start: I've posted dozens of #TMIishTuesday's already - as you can tell by the number above. And I realised, pretty much all of them fall into two categories: - LGBTQ+ and - society/language. And I also think that these two topics are actually targeted at quite a different audience. So I thought, I'd try to organise this blog a little better so you know when to get here for your favorite topic. Here's how: This week, and every second Tuesday of the month from now on, I'll post on LGBTQ+ related topics. So, if you don't want to miss them, mark 14 March, 11 April, and 9 May in your agenda already. However, if you're here for language and society topics: Mark each last Tuesday of the month: 28 February, 28 March, and 25 April are what you should be looking for. The other two or three Tuesdays there'll be topics related to other things. However, if I just posted on languages and next day the Trumpet's government announces it was to prohibit the use of the English language anywhere in world but the U. S., I might slide in an extra language post as the next one. :D I hope this way you know what to expect a little better and know when it's really worth checking this page, if you're only interested in one topic. Hey there mighty people of the internet! And welcome to issue #49 of #TMIishTuesday - my weekly Tumblr post about what goes through my weird mind and what you guys want to know more about. It can be something very personal, it can be something political, it can be completely pointless - but in 99.9 % of the cases, it involves opinions. And mine as well. // Last week I told you about my favorite album at the moment: Troye Sivan's Blue Neighbourhood which was actually released more than a year ago. Here's why I find it so cool all of a sudden. // Following the rooster I mentioned in the foreword, this post is regarded as "LGBTQ+", but it certainly touches on other topics as well: Society, language, and more. And to be quite honest, I probably would have put it into the "society and language" category, if it wasn't that most LGBTQ+ topics in my list are based around sources on the internet, like articles of newspapers or magazines. But I have a spare hour at my parents at the moment - and their telephone and internet provider fails to execute its most crucial option: Provide telephone and internet. :D So… I'm tugging this topic in. This topic was actually inspired by questions asked on a German forum called "gutefrage.net" where you can get advice by other users on virtually any topic: Computer stuff, visa stuff, school problems, sexuality questions, and I'm convinced there'll be a section for make-up as well. If you google a question in German, chances are that one of the first hits will be a user of gutefrage.net asking your exact question, or a very similar one. That's also how I initially found the forum. And after I had read up on cooking skills - or whatever it was - I just clicked around a little more. And I came across the "gay" tag where people ask questions about their sexuality. And I was like: Maybe I could help some of those people. So I made an account - and every now and then, I'll browse the "gay" tag trying to help the people on there. As I expected, most of them are teens. And since I'm browsing the "gay" tag, most are male as well. And I found that some questions are quite amusing actually. Obviously there are those really deep-cutting problems with teens struggling with either their sexuality or coming out - who I happily help. But some… Man! People's minds can get so creative! I see SO many questions along the lines of: “I'm shy/dressing slightly different than others/young/old/have a smaller dick than others - does that make me gay?" I mean, I kinda get those people who ask questions like "I accidently touched a friend's dick. I think I'm gay now?". On the one hand, if you think about it, it's quite irrational. But on the other hand: If - like in most of Germany - students don't learn about the different sexualities at school until they are 14, 15 (if at all!), it's only natural that our internet-exposed 12- or 13-year-olds ask such questions. They just don't know. (And thanks to society and the use of "gay" as an insult, they are scared of being gay.) But let's get back to the totally strange questions that I find every other day on the forum. These just don't make any sense! Examples? Here you go:

1) "Is it gay when guys listen to Beyoncé songs?" Yeah, totally! Right? Music totally defines your sexuality! Right? If you're a guy and like a song that features a female singer, you're gay! The same goes for a girl who likes songs sung by guys! Oh, and if you like a duet featuring a guy and a girl, you're bi! Right? I don't have to elaborate on this one, do I?

2) "Am I gay just because I have a diamond tattoo behind my ear?" Yeah, totally! If you get a diamond tattooed that's so gay! You should have gotten a gold ingot instead! And why did you pick a spot behind your ear!? You should have gotten it on your back! Like a man! Excuse me? Get whatever tattoo you like on whatever part of your body you like. Okay, maybe don't go all the way IN. That's just dangerous. But for the rest - why not get a diamond behind your ear or a tiny pink bird on your forearm?

3) "Is it gay to dye your hair?" Yeah, totally! Only homosexual people dye their hair! See, I've been debating doing it for years now. And I might talk to my hair dresser about it this upcoming weekend actually. Oh, and my Mum dyes her hair as well to prevent the grey from showing. Oh, wait. My mum still lives with my father. Almost 26 years after having me. And she has been dyeing her hair for a good 5 years now. Why hasn't she turned lesbian, yet? Erm… I'm afraid our oh-so-promising hypothesis didn't pass the practice test again. Shit! Why is that!? Okay, and to finish this off, let me show you two more examples off the same site. The first one is a very bad troll who didn't even bother to get creative creating multiple accounts.

Mr. "Am I gay please help me maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan?"  And he says: "I m/15 think that I am gay cause I accidently touched ONE friend's dick. Please help me!" I mean, poor guy! It's so easy to change your sexuality by just a slip of your hand. Damn, THAT must suck! But I didn't even have to intervene in the original post cause this happened. Note the usernames:

Let’s start with the post 25 mins ago: "I mean just because you touched his dick doesn't mean you're gay, but you grabbed it and I have to say you're doing a good job :3" 1. The start looks quite good tbh. It only gets bad after the comma. 2. The username 3. In the question it doesn't say he grabbed it. And then he replied again: "Yeah, man, you're gay …But that's okay , I'll suck you for 5 euros :)" Erm… Total troll!? :P To finish this off, let's have a laugh at a guy who totally nailed his answer to a guy who asked: "Which optical indications are there that you are gay?"

That guy replied: "At your wrist are clearly visible lines that cross diagonally to your arm (only those count that go from left to right). Their number tells you which kind of person you are dealing with: Homosexuals have two lines; if you are a pedophile, there's one; and there are three, when you're intellectual gifted. If you have a few interrupted ones, you can tell by their amount, distance, and length how often the person had sex." This guy is bloody brilliant!! …and I think that's a good one to finish off this post. Before I go, though, let me know what you thought of this post. What's the most stupid question you ever asked? Place a comment, tweet me, dm me, or do anything else you can think of to get to me. Talking about brilliant stuff: Today’s TMIish Queer Shoutout (let's get rid of the TMIish. That's just too long of a title!) is a film again. Moonlight, an American drama from last year. I don't watch films to easily, but after Ash Hardell talked about it in one of her videos, the plot just got to me and I had to watch it. It tells the story of Chiron, a shy kid who is picked on during school and whose single mother barely devotes time to him. He gets to know Juan, a drug dealer in his 40s or 50s. I won't spoil too much here cause the story is really well thought-through. Only that much: Chiron has to face some more challenges growing up and he eventually struggles with all the problems that arise in the typical ghetto-kind of neighbourhood - and gets to know his sexuality which will play a role later in the film as well. The film is split into three spans of Chiron's life: The small school kid Chiron, the high school kid Chiron (who is still bullied), and the grown-up Chiron who has moved out and lives his own life. As you can tell the gay theme only plays a minor part in this movie, so I can recommend this film to anyone without hesitation. So, if you have a spare two hours this week, find it online somewhere, go ahead and watch it! (Or, if you live in Germany: Wait until 9 March. It's supposed to hit the cinemas then.
