The Signe family was known throughout the Northern rulers of the Eastern Kingdoms for their excellent quality and timely production of the logging industry. Split into four families: Signe, Ashbriar, Urvine, and Brenaile. Most importantly, they are all borne of Alterac despite any current or future marriages.

With the betrayal of the Perenolde family and the exile of those associated with him came the destruction of Alterac and the comeuppance of the syndicate that now rules over the valley.

Despite the Signe family not being among the list, they found solace in a port they named the Blacksea Port to host a myriad of ventures but more known for their arctic fishing adventures. Now they seek to dominate the steel industry in the north.

With all of this gold and knowledge of the world, the Signe family, combined with multiple other Houses and powerful groups, combined their knowledge and power to rebuild a decent portion of Alterac Valley.

However, the syndicate has its eyes set on this new colony. The positioning of Alterac itself has not been the most fortunate. It is flanked by the Plaguelands, Silverpine Forest’s forces of Forsaken, and the contested Stromgarde. Not only that, but the exiled nobles of Alterac that form the syndicate may not be too keen on  someone new taking up the mantle of restoring the kingdom.

With Stromgarde in conflict, it is only natural to put forth as much effort as possible to win it back from the Horde. Lady Damia Signe is in search of wealthy individuals, lords, ladies, and military personnel to aid her in expanding these efforts as to not spread her forces too thin.

The Baroness has secured talks and is only waiting on permission from the crown to make efforts in creating a settlement as she did in Alterac. She is in need of wealthy and aristocratic individuals to help make this happen.

With the land blighted beyond habitation, all seems lost. However, there is a hope to be able to rid the land of blight and ideas circulate within the northern realm to make it happen.

In the meantime, Lady Damia Signe is encouraging other lands to put forth a significant chunk of their own to create a new Lordaeron. If there is enough land between Hillsbrad and the Hinterlands, there could be a habitable place that a settlement could evolve.

Damia will need dedicated and wealthy persons to make this dream a reality, as well as permission from the crown.

Name Rate

Could you rate the name Ashbriar for me? Hello! So sorry for the wait but I can go ahead and rate this name for you now! First of all, Ash- is going to best suit a grey cat, depending on whether or not you’re referring to the tree or to the substance left after a fire, it could be either a tabby or a solid colored cat respectively.  As for the suffix, -briar, I believe that I’ve seen it before to suggest rather negative traits such as being easily irritated, but a cat should never be named for a negative trait like that. A suggestion of use for a positive meaning could be for a strong but precise warrior, or possibly used for a cat who is strong willed and attached to their morals. I hope this could help! -Mod V. A wild Ashbriar appears

Kicking off #OcArtMemeMonday with the expression challenge that I did with my Crowhollow characters, at the request and randomly rolled behest of the GM. Starting at the top left we have Hawthorne Silverpyne, edgy necromancer, doing the finger guns. Top right we have Kneut Valyn, dragon nerd and sparkle boy, looking very excited, probably to see the dragon god. Bottom left is Vir Anvar, the most anxious portal wizard, looking distressed. And lastly, bottom right we have Amaranth Ashbriar, Mara for short, looking quite decidedly put out.

This was really fun, I’d never done anything like it before and I look forward to doing more with the Ravenheart characters in the future!
