NANA — huh yunjin
WARNING — fluff, swearing
★☆
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
huh yunjin was conflicted.
she’s never liked someone so much, like she feels like it’s actually concerning how much she likes you.
you’re the leader of new jeans just two years younger, she never thought that she would actually like someone younger than her and despite you being younger than her you actually intimidate the hell out of her.
she just thinks that the way you got so popular so quickly is a little scary I mean global vivienne westwood ambassador only five months after debut ?!
that’s crazy.
should she also mention that you’re her best friend jimin’s little sister ?
Tumblr media
“oh my god.” yunjin looks up as he best friend dramatically flops at the end of her bed. “yn is driving me crazy.”
yunjin stomach turns just at your name. “how ?” she asks.
jimin sits up and looks at her. “I’ve seen my little sister’s face my whole life, and I love yn but when I become an idol it was a little nice to have a break from her, but now I see her face EVERYWHERE I mean billboards, poster, on my social media.”
as jimin continues to rant about you, yunjin gets lost in her thoughts I mean jimin wasn’t wrong your face was everywhere not that yunjin was complaining she loves seeing your face, well sorta, how is she supposed to try to get over her best friends little sister if she sees her everywhere ?
“BUSES I MEAN BUSES YUN.” yunjin snaps out of her thoughts as jimin finally stops her ranting.
“but that’s besides the point, I was talking to her this morning and why didn’t you tell me you guys were doing a duet on kbs ?” we are ? “she told me her manager told her this morning.”
“uhhh…” yunjin trails off trying to find an answer did her manager tell her and she just wasn’t paying attention ? probably
“that doesn’t matter.” jimin cut her off. “ I came here to tell you no funny business.”
“what do you mean ?”
jimin let’s out a deep sigh “I MEAN no funny business, no flirting, no touching no nothing, just singing, I know how you are yunjin.”
“I cannot have my best friend dating my little sister, first you’re the only thing I have that she doesn’t and also if something happens I’d be put in the middle.”
she then wraps her arms around yunjin. “ so no funny business right ?”
“yeah.”
Tumblr media
“so what songs do you have in mind ?”
yunjin heart flutters as you smile at her.
she’s so pretty
I wonder how it would be if we were dating
“um hello ?” you wave your hand in her face.
“um sorry.” yunjin stutters as she scrambles to get her notebook, her cheek heating up in embarrassment.
“it’s okay.” you laugh, you look down at her notebook. “so, have any ideas?”
“um so I wrote down some songs like, kingston by faye, lover by taylor we could also do gorgeous by Taylor.”
“so love songs ?” you ask cutting off her rambling.
“um no..” yunjin trails off looking at her notebook. “there’s… uhh… yeah love songs.”
“sorry.”
“no it’s okay I was just teasing you.”
“you could tease me anytime you want.”
“what ?”
“huh, what ? nothing, i didn’t say anything.”
“um okay.” you laugh. “how about we do the last one on your list.”
yunjin looks at the last song and her face heats up “sofia ? are you sure.”
“I’m sure.” you say “I’ve listen to it sometimes it’s a good song to cover.”
“yea okay, sure let’s do it.”
Tumblr media
you and her spent the rest of the next couple weeks splitting up lines and practicing and yunjin felt herself falling for you even more.
today was the day you guys actually film the duet.
“I’m nervous.” she whispers to you.
“don’t be.” you wrap your arms around her’s “we will do amazing especially you.”
wow are you trying to kill her.
“really.”
“I wouldn’t be saying it if I didn’t believe what I was saying.”
“actually.” you turn away from her and and pick up a little box. “I have something for you.” you give the box to her.
yunjin brushes her fingers over the lettering on the box Vivienne Westwood.
she opens the box to see two necklaces, obviously it was the icon westwood planets but hanging on one was a little strawberry and the other had a black star.
I’m in love could she get any better ?
“they’re for both me and you.” you say as you pick up the one with the strawberry hanging on it. “help me put it on.”
yunjin gently puts the necklace on you turning herself around implying she wants you to put hers on as well.
after you finish putting hers on, you turn her around and wrap your arms around her.
yunjin freezes.
“no touching” it’s not like I’m the one touching her so it shouldn’t matter right ?
“are you ready?” you ask her, letting her go.
“yep.”
“good.” you grab one of her hands and pull to to the set. “let’s do this.”
yeah let’s do this
Tumblr media
the cover was a hit, fans were going crazy over not only the song choice but the necklaces ? thats what confused yunjin weren’t they just cute necklaces with charms ?
NEW JEANS YN AND LESSERAFIMS YUNJIN GO VIRAL OVER COUPLE NECKLACES.
the duo was seen in their hit cover wearing vivienne Westwood’s new exclusive couple NANA necklaces.
fans were already spiralling about the song choice but the necklaces are just the icing on the cake.
which leaves us wondering are is the yn of newjeans dating lesserafims yunjin ?
I guess they weren’t.
yn you sneaky little shit.
“YOU’RE DATING YN UNNIE.” eunchae barges into yunjin room.
“NO.”
“then why are you guys wearing exclusive couple necklaces ?” eunchae asks her facial expression says I just caught you in a lie.
ding (yunjin’s phone.)
“I’ll explain later.” yunjin pushes eunchae out her room and locks the door ignoring eunchae protests.
yunjin picks up at the phone and her heart drops.
jimin bae 😜
sofia by clairo ? couple necklaces?
oh shit

how do you think the companions would react to a mute or deaf inquisitor? like one who communicates through sign language?
“Companions react to Mute/Deaf Inquisitor”
I try to do my research for the most part when I do these posts. So if I do get something wrong, please let me know! I enjoy getting the chance to understand topics further and getting to hear from you guys! And thank you anon!
-Lord Lex
Cullen
-One of the many who struggle with communication and now he’s learning that you can communicate through your hands. He’s a little worried about you being on the battlefield but he’ll try not to mother you. He knows the others have your back and, hey, you’ve been fighting before you were even part of the Inquisition so that reassures him. He struggles to learn sign-language but instead, if the Inquisitor is deaf, will communicate through simply passing along some paper. Same with if deaf but he’ll mostly speak to you and rely on a written response.
Josephine
-Josey is an ambassador for the Inquisition, of course she’s going to know a few languages. If she doesn’t, she usually tries to learn them as soon as possible. Like Cullen, she’ll be worried about you when in the field, but outside of it she finds no problems. She’ll go with you wherever when in Haven/Skyhold, translating for people or for you. Anyone who tries to disresepct you behind your back will get a stern talking to.
Leliana
-She always did say the best spy was one who didn’t speak. Maybe not so surprisingly she knows several forms of sign language for different languages and will make sure on which ones to use for you. If a message needs to be said, she’ll say it for you. Though, sometimes, she’ll watch as people make fools of themselves either by talking rudely to you when your deaf or asking why you aren’t responding when mute. Proceeds to introduce you as the Inquisitor and that you’re deaf/mute.
Vivienne
-Not so surprised. Is actually another one who stays by your side, either translating or shutting down anyone who so happens to make a comment about you. Tries to stay where you can see her, either her hands or mouth being visible for you. Sometimes when translating for you, she’ll add in her own comment but makes sure people know that it’s her opinion and not yours. “The Inquisitor bids you welcome. I, on the other hand, hope your stay is very short.”
Varric
-Varric finds it pretty interesting, having met a few people in his travels who couldn’t speak or hear. Wasn’t able to pick up on sign language but he won’t try to exclude you because he doesn’t know what you’re saying. He’ll try any methods of talking with you or getting to know what you’re saying, including through drawings. He’s not the best artist but you both find it such a goofy way of communicating. Makes many people question how ya’ll even know what either of you are saying, especially when you’re both nodding sagely over a drawing of a nug with a crown.
Cole
-He knows you’re speaking, but the words aren’t coming out. Right for you, but not right for others. Cole is very confused on why no one else can hear you until he realises they can’t hear the ghost of your words. Don’t rely too much on him to translate, we all know his speech patterns. Especially when he does translate for you, he’ll either say everything on your mind or too little of what you want to say. But it is pretty funny when he tries to do a voice for you. Most specificly when you’re trying to act intimidating and he just makes his voice rough and tough. He’s trying his best.
Solas
-He finds no problem with it. Might find it slightly difficult when trying to translate certain elven words, especially if the Inquisitor doesn’t know elven. but that won’t stop him. Solas will try to find a way to describe it or use appropriate wording to get his point across or to explain certain words. He’s very patient with you and will even ask you to teach him a few signs so that it’s easier for you. Even tries to keep an eye on your hands if you’re mute so that he can see when you wish to speak.
Cassandra
-The one who gets frustrated the most over it. She’s trying, she really is. She does know some sign language, but only some. She’ll get words wrong or mistranslate sometimes. But even worse when she forgets because she’ll go on long tangents or going over plans and will look at you for input and it just hits her. Has to get you paper and a quill to write out responses or even she’ll write out her whole thing. Cass isn’t frustrated with you, she’s frustrated with trying to remember these things as well as sign language.
The Iron Bull
-He knows a few words and phrases but he also teaches you a few of his own. He works around it, makes sure you know it’s not a hinderance. Pretty impressed with how you power through, becoming a leader and, because of you, most of Skyhold actually knows a bit of sign-language. Unlike the others, though, if someone asks what you’re saying, he’s going to tell them either to guess or that it’s time for them to learn a new language. Bull’s only messing with people but if you ask him to stop he will. (Fun fact: Krem taught him sign language. Krem was a little excited to speak with you when he saw you using it.) Speaking of Krem, you know how he sits to Bull’s blind side? Bull will do the same for you except being your ears if deaf or being your voice if mute.
Dorian
-Genuinely one of the most curious of your group. Dorian’ll sit down with you for hours just to learn, eventually being able to have conversations with you in more easier terms. He’ll still talk (a lot) but now it’s accompanied by him moving his hands, either to help you or to just practice. He also enjoys how private it can be, not having to worry about listening ears or unwanted company. He tries to help as much as you’ll let him, either deaf or mute and will interpret when needed. Also uses it to shit talk but only around you or those in your group. Josephine cuaght him once and gave him a talking because one of the nobles actually knew sign language.
Sera
-It’s not her type of sign language. Which is either signs like moving forward or a certain finger. More frustrated than Cassandra sometimes but also has fun with it. Might be irritating with certain people as she tries to guess what you’re saying, going through charades to get your point across or even hers. She’s even tried to create her own and teach it to you. Most of the time it’s just words that already exist but smashed together like shitbiscuit. She’ll try testing things with you, like if your senses are heightened due to one of them being gone. Specificlly by throwing apples at you. Might want to work on your reflexes.
Blackwall
-He’s trying, I promise. He’s able to guess but it does little when you’re trying to get whole phrases or sentences out. It’ll take Blackwall a second to remember what that certain hand movement means but he’ll get there. Same as Bull where he’ll act as your ears but not your voice. Does not want to be responsible for that or equivalate his voice as yours. His main answer is “You give the orders, I follow them.” Sometimes will just walk up to you saying he’s got this and then try to sign to you and ask if he did it correctly. It’s a 50/50 chance he did.

MerGana Wedding
be like
Tumblr media
they spend the wedding night sobbing and vomiting on the floor 😭
theyre The Power Couple that poisoned each other on their wedding. No one has a bond like theirs 💀
with. @wandrenowle
From the au where s5 Merlin and Morgana transmigrate to their 10 year old selves (and still retain their scars and memories).
10 year old Merlin searches for Baby Mordred to kill him. 10 year old Morgana searches for baby Mordred to protect him. Hunith goes to Gaius in Camelot to ask for his help but Gaius refuses because he is too busy babysitting Prince Arthur. Gaius gives Hunith Balinor's last known location instead.
Duke Gorlois, is surprised by Morgana's magic powers and is worried that she has disappeared from their palace especially with Uther's reforms being popular across the allied kingdoms.
Cue Hunith and Gorlois scouring the forests between Cornwall and Ascetir to find their idiot children.
Hunith, Balinor and Gorlois somehow find each other and their children in the woods. Then they all take sanctuary in Cornwall.
From the young Morgana, Gorlois is informed of Uther's and Vivienne's infidelity. Gorlois is also informed of how Uther tricked Balinor into giving up his kin's secrets. Gorlois silently cut ties with Uther Pendragon and allies himself with Balinor.
Nimueh finds out and goes to the court of Cornwall to investigate this change in political tide. Pleased with her findings, Nimueh sends a call out to the other surviving priestesses. Morgause appears with her son baby Mordred, happy to be reunited with her Sister and their father, Gorlois.
Vivienne also appears in Cornwall and tearfully admits the truth of her infidelity. She vows to pay for this by doing her best for Cornwall and its defense.
Cornwall becomes stronger with the high priestesses in its alliance. In time Ascetir (Cenred), Carleon (Queen Annis and King Carleon), Brittany (Tristan and Agravaine Du Bois), Deira (King Odin) and Mercia (King Bayard) join together with the Duke of Cornwall against Camelot's power as well. Uther's Camelot is surrounded by an alliance of powerful countries and cannot just do what it wants anymore.
s5Kid!Merlin and s5Kid!Morgana don't stop bitching and messing with each other for all the trauma they've been though. Balinor and Gorlois hate what their children became and both strive to fix it.
Among s5Kid!Merlin and s5Kid!Morgana's disputes are Merlin's unchanging sad wardrobe in their past lives. Kid!s5!Morgana saucily makes a suggestion to Gorlois to investigate in the potential of Ealdor fabric industry with Cenred of Ascetir's blessing, much to kid!s5!merlin's irritation. Morgana turns out to be right (which pisses merlin off). Ealdor becomes a booming trade center for fabric/textile. Thus Merlin is outfitted by both Gorlois and Balinor in comfortable and sturdy Ealdor clothing but in nobler and better styles.
Most importantly, the two semi-mature idiot and warfreak children get schooled by their parents and elders on their shitty extremist idealism and warped sense of ethics and politics from their past lives.
Balinor and Gorlois then decide to keep them apart to stop them from impeding each other's healing and reformation progress.
Morgana goes thru intensive and better high priestess training (with Nimueh, Morgause and Vivienne present alongside Gorlois' brand of politics and nation building.)
Meanwhile Merlin goes on sabbatical with Balinor in order to visit and live with the surviving members of different sects of magicfolk. This had to be done so that Merlin/Emrys can learn and understand their general politics, histories, ethics and values straight from the source and not just from books.
Gorlois makes Mordred his heir as Duke of Cornwall, Morgana prepares to become ambassador to Camelot as "Morgana Pendragon" and Merlin will be formally revealed as "Lord Emrys of the Druids" when he is of age.
10 years later Merlin Emrys and Morgana Pendragon, now 20, are reunited. They still hate each other but the council has unanimously decided to join them in marriage. This was done accordance with the various prophecies. Another reason for this was to solidify their position as powerful and feared diplomat-couples to Camelot and the rest of Albion.
They spend the days of their bethrothal by flirting with others while glaring daggers at each other from across the rooms, the halls and the forests.
Eventually, their handfasting goes off without a hitch... except that this is Merlin and Morgana who have still have the scars and memories from all 5 seasons. Since they transmigated to this alternate storyline, they both have an unhealthy fixation on foods and poison. These two don't trust anything until they're sure that it is not poison.
So.
in the privacy of the wedding room they make a pact to remind each other how they could easily die by the other's hands if they wanted to.
You are my destiny, You are my doom.
....................
aftermath:
Gorlois and Balinor are made aware of the pact while the two are suffering from the aftereffects 😂 Gorlois: i need the strongest wine. Our kids are insane. Balinor: ive got mushrooms too? U want some? Gorlois: sure 🤦 Mordred: i want a love like that too Morgause: please dont Nimueh: (cackling)
...........
to anyone reading this.
Merlin and Morgana settle in Perilous Land of the Fisher King. Their married sex life is intense rough and bloody and they always come out looking mauled but hey in time (maybe 30 years) they managed to produce five kids all while trying to keep albion from erupting into all out war 😅
arthurian age does actually happen coz merlin is a reformed idiot in this au. he's actually one of high status among the nobles and can watch over albion better coz of his political position. As a married couple he and his wife keep each other in check, ready to go for the kill if needed (much to their children's dread).
so! King Arthur lives long and happy with many knights. Eventually he and Duke Mordred piss each other off because of territory or an insult, Camlann still happens. They both die.
morgause goes into grief, attacks merlin and morgana's family. morgana deals killing blow. everyone tries to save morgause's body but they couldnt so it's sad.
tired of their world, merlin and morgana retire into the woods to learn more about necromancy, astrology and astronomie.

Celestine Black
Pairing: Josephine Montilyet & Solas (gen) Characters: Josephine Montilyet, Solas Fandom: Dragon Age: Inquisition Archive Warnings: None Applicable Other Tags: Classism, Fantasy racism Summary: Though Skyhold's guests may be of noble blood, their manners often leave much to be desired. When one insults the Inquisition's resident magical expert, who just so happens to be an apostate, Josephine takes it upon herself to remedy the situation. In typical Montilyet fashion. Written for TheSilentBard on AO3 for the @solas-lovers-exchange
“Apostate!” The word is an accusation upon Lady Verise’s lips, cutting as the shattered glass on the rotunda floor.
Josephine catches no more than a glint in the corner of her eye before she hears it break. By the time she looks it has scattered, broken pieces crawling across the stone like a plague of translucent roaches. Wine slides down Solas’s temple. Thick and viscous, it dries a violent plum purple where it landed on his sweater. The delicate slope of Lady Verise’s nose rather resembles the bellows of an accordion as she snarls in his direction.
The rest of the room looks on in a mix of shock and amusement. A knowing smile curls beneath the porcelain moustache of Lord Maigny, a sure sign that she ought to have expected this. Anticipated it in some way. It had seemed improper, showing off the murals without giving the artist his due, especially not when he stood so close at hand.
But it was a mistake, that much has been made evident.
Solas is the first to speak, dabbing at his face with a paint cloth as he does. “It appears our guest is in need of another glass,” he remarks, in a tone remarkably dry for one so damp. He levels his gaze towards the guest in question, then ducks it, deferential. “You are of course correct, my lady. I have never known the Circle’s guidance, although the loyal mages within the Inquisition have made it their mission to remedy the oversights brought about by a hedge mage’s education. Should you have the opportunity to speak with Enchanter Vivienne while you are here; I am certain you will find her insight as to my insufficiencies invaluable, and how she has endeavoured to correct them.”
Josephine bites the inside of her cheek to keep from smirking (a critical skill for an elder sister and ambassador to possess). Although she possesses no limit to her admiration for Vivienne, she had sat in on one of their discussions long enough to become well-acquainted with Solas’s. Still, if asked, she has no doubt Vivienne will play along. She has tied her reputation to that of the Inquisitions, and undermining that, as well as her own influence within it, is not how the game is played.
“Madame de fer was among the few dissenters in Empress Celene’s court after she invited the swamp witch into our midst,” Lady Verise tsks. “Why would she abide an apostate’s company?”
Seeing the chance to retake the reins of the situation, Josephine steps in. “If I may be so bold as to speak on Enchanter Vivienne’s behalf: Master Solas has behaved with the utmost propriety since joining our ranks. Any reservations we had regarding his position here have long since passed.”

happy friday roooo💜 perhaps some Bryn x Josie, Brushing a stray strand of hair out of their eyes?
THANK YOUUUU I appreciate you💚 for @dadrunkwriting
Pairing: Adaar/Josephine Rating: G
~~~
Josephine has accounted for each moment of this day, and every piece of paper that crosses her desk. If the notes themselves are not physically sorted, they are in her mind — she scans an eye over them and commits the schedule once again to memory. The Rechauds, the Monfords, dinner with a young Guerrin mistress, a letter to write to the Revered Mother of Du Glace —
“Hey,” soothes a sweet voice.
Josephine looks up with a gasp — she hadn’t realised she’d been muttering beneath her breath. “Oh! Inquisitor, pardon me.”
Bryn Adaar ducks through her doorway, then shuts the door firmly behind them. Their spiralling horns nearly clip the chandelier — they put up a hand to protect the hanging fixture as they pass, out of habit. Their vivid blue eyes curve into happy half moons above their smiling cheeks at the sight of her.
“What’s there to pardon you for?” they ask. Their accent lilts, not quite Rivaini, not quite Marcher, and is sweet as a warbling bird’s. “I just came to check on you.”
“Me?” Josephine demurs. She sorts through her notes as an excuse to lower her gaze. “I fare quite well, your Grace. No need to worry.”
Bryn laughs gently. They draw near to Josephine’s desk on nearly-silent footsteps — the grace and soundlessness of their movement reminds her of the tales Iron Bull told her of the Fog Warriors. Josephine shakes that thought away, for the person beside her is much gentler than anyone with ‘warrior’ in their name.
“I didn’t come to worry over you,” Bryn assures her. “I came to check on you, and to see if you would like to take a step away from your desk? Just for a moment.”
Josephine recalls her schedule, and how every moment is accounted for. She raises her eyes to Bryn’s — so high up, she realises with a swooping feeling in her stomach — and tries to think of how to explain. “The Rechauds —”
“Are enthralled by Vivienne’s stories and gossip,” Bryn murmured. “Their son is a loyalist mage. Vivienne would have the rest of their day if you let her.”
“You planned this.”
“With Varric’s help.”
Josephine can’t help the little laugh that burbles up at that. “I find it difficult to believe that Master Tethras —”
“He knows the importance of taking a break, Lady Ambassador,” Bryn said, leaning closer. Josephine forgot what she was going to say when Bryn reached out — they smoothed a piece of frazzled hair back from Josephine’s forehead, a gesture that seemed terribly delicate for so large and long-fingered a hand. Bryn looked her over again, then met her eyes and smiled with all the warmth of a sunflower turning its face towards the sky. “Come. Half an hour?”
Josephine soothed her pounding heart with a deep intake of breath. She nodded. “Lead the way, your Grace.”
“Bryn,” Bryn corrected. Her fingers lingered for a moment on Josephine’s sleeve before falling away. “To the gardens? The roses are about to bloom.”
With a smile and a sigh, Josephine put down her notes — now out of order — on her desk and followed Bryn from the room.
Another reason why I can never recruit Sera: I will never be over how in her "fun" little pranking scheme Josie, the sweetest and most caring woman possibly in the entire Inquisition, gets humiliated in front of her staff (who from what I've seen of the ambient dialogue about the pranks are not happy to have seen her humiliated and so upset she ran off in tears, because Josie's staff genuinely like her because she's a good person who cares about her people) while Cullen, Meredith's right-hand man who was at best complicit in almost a decade of abuse, torture and murder and depending on your worldstate took part in the mass murder of two separate Circles, gets a slightly irritating wonky desk. And Leliana gets nothing, because publicly humiliating someone who's done nothing to deserve that treatment and whose subordinates don't want it to happen is a-okay and perfectly aboveboard but looking through a locked box that may or may not contain personal shit is too far, which I'm sure has nothing to do with the fact that Leliana would actually get even with her. And Josie is first, so you can't even do Cullen's mild and actually quite funny prank and then tell Sera she's going too far with Josie; you have to humiliate your genuinely wonderful ambassador to mildly irritate your shithead Templar commander.
Also: Sera decides to publicly humiliate Josephine, possibly lowering her standing in the eyes of everyone present, when Josie is the Inquisition's ambassador. Her public standing matters a huge amount! So not only does she not deserve to be treated like that, not only do the "little people" Sera is supposedly standing up for not want her to be treated like that, but it could potentially do damage to the Inquisition's reputation! And you can't bring that up to tell her she's going too far and needs to back off before she potentially does damage to the whole "saving the world" cause! And of course you can't even suggest a milder prank that Josie and her people might have been able to laugh about; no, it's public humiliation or nothing, and fuck the fact that none of the people Sera claims she's supporting want that!
Just... with a few exceptions like Blackwall (who notably was a respected Orlesian military captain for a while; not exactly what you'd call "little people", which is a bit of a theme in the people Sera actually seems to enjoy interacting with), Sera's treatment of the people around her ranges from irritating and massively inconvenient to the very important cause they're trying to achieve to "Why are any of these people putting up with her", and I get that she's young and coded as neurodivergent but that's no excuse. You don't get to throw away basic decency just because you're neurodivergent, and being young isn't an excuse for shit like putting a venomous snake in Vivienne's underwear drawer and beating a man to death because the Inquisitor asks questions instead of making a snap judgment! There is the bare bones of a really satisfying character arc about a young woman revelling in chaos for chaos's sake under the shield of a worthy cause and looking down on anyone who she decides fits into the wrong niche (see her treatment of Josie, who really only looks the part of your standard upper class jackass and in reality is slightly sheltered but genuinely cares for the people around her more than some of the lower class cast members do, and her treatment of a Lavellan who dares even suggest that they're proud of their heritage and believe in their own gods) who learns to genuinely care about righting wrongs against oppressed groups rather than using their suffering as an excuse to sow pointless chaos without even asking what they actually want here! But because DAI is allergic to character growth she doesn't get beyond revelling in chaos for chaos's sake, and unlike some of the other cast members she never shuts up about it. And yes, the fact that every argument you can actually make about the way she treats the people around her in-game boils down to telling her she's crazy and makes no sense sucks and I hate it, but that doesn't mean that there aren't a lot of very valid arguments to make.
another part to the family visit of the pavellan fic!
The next morning, Lavellan was brought down to the great hall by his guests much earlier than Dorian was used to seeing him. Anavi was dressed in casual leathers, her hair done and not a strand out of place. Mahanon’s hair was loose from its braids, wavy and tousled, but he was dressed in simple robes. Lavellan had managed breeches and his tunic, but his eyes were still squinty with sleep.
The servants were quick to bring out food for the Inquisitor. Josephine had managed to wrangle an import of coffee beans, which Lavellan drank religiously in the mornings.
“You look rested,” Dorian remarked.
Lavellan slurped his coffee and gave Dorian a blurry, narrow-eyed glare.
Mahanon glanced at Lavellan, then to Dorian. “Do you tend to sleep well here?”
Dorian raised his brows. “For the most part, I suppose. Bloody cold, though.”
“I imagine Ferelden is much different from Tevinter.”
His carefully neutral tone gave Dorian the sensation of being tested. It had been a while since Lavellan had used that tone with him.
“It’s different in nearly every way,” Dorian said lightly.
Lavellan mumbled something in Elvish that Dorian didn’t catch but which caused Mahanon to scrunch his nose and turn back to his food.
Soon, one of Josephine’s people came out with the list of duties Lavellan would need to see to that day. He took the list with a grimace. The aide bowed. “Ambassador Montilyet is aware of your guests, Inquisitor, and has made her best attempt to lessen your load for today.”
Lavellan nodded, sighing. “Tell her I appreciate it, and I promise not to be too rude to the nobles today because of it.”
“I still can’t believe you deal with nobles,” Mahanon said as the aide retreated, covering his laugh with a slender hand. “That can’t be going well.”
“I’ve… gotten better. Anyway, it seems I will need to leave you to your own devices for most of the day.”
Mahanon nodded. “We expected you would be busy.”
Lavellan smirked. “That said, I do have companions to introduce you to who should keep you engaged.” He raised his drink to his lips, looking slyly at Mahanon. “One of them is a somniari.”
Mahanon nearly leapt out of his seat. “You have a somniari?” His ears flicked wildly in excitement.
“He’s insufferable, but he knows his stuff. And he likes being asked questions, so you’ll be a dream come true for him—literally. I’ll take you after you finish your food,” Lavellan added pointedly.
Mahanon sat back and immediately began devouring his meal. In short order, he put his bowl down and was on his feet. “I’m done!”
Lavellan sighed but stood. Anavi joined them, not having had a large breakfast. “I’ll find you later, Dorian?” Lavellan said to him.
“Certainly. Enjoy your wooing of nobles.”
Lavellan grumbled and led his guests into the rotunda. Shortly after, Dorian saw Lavellan and Anavi ascending the stairs to Vivienne’s balcony.
Finally sat down and drew everyone from my canon play through !
• inquisitor Circe Trevelyan
• champion of Kirkwall, Gavin Hawke
• the hero of ferelden, Anya Surana
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Little desc of my canon play through :-)
Dao !
Name: Anya Surana
Class: mage
Race: elf
Pronouns: she/her
Romance: leliana
age: 22 ( in dao )
Little backstory: Anya was raised in the circle and never had reason to doubt her superiors nor wish to leave, thus making her very loyal to the circle. When jowan informed her of his plan, she immediately reported it, not suspecting that any blood magic was involved. She begged and begged to not be banished from the circle but she was in too deep. Anya knows little about the outside world, relying on Alistair to help her, which was a problem since Alistair relied on her to make all the decisions, she wasn't too hopeful about Morrigan either, as she was scared of her since Morrigan was an apostate and a, what Anya believed, malificar. She was ecstatic when she met leliana in lothering, seeing that they shared a common belief in the maker and the chantry. Soon sparks flew and they began their little adventure. Anya was also relieved to have Wynne with her, relying on her to help her with the big decisions and viewed her as a sort of mother figure. After the blight was ended, Anya impulsively decided to ditch everything and everyone and run away to join a Dalish clan, aching to reclaim her elven heritage. No one has seen her since, but some claim to have spotted some of her letters on lelianas person.
Da2 !
Name: Gavin hawke
Class: mage
Personality: red ( aggressive )
Pronouns: he/him
age: 28 ( da2 ) 38 ( dai)
Romance: Anders
Sided: mages
Little backstory: hawke's backstory cannot be changed so I'll list his beliefs. Hawke has always supported the mages and the rising mage rebellion since he and his father are/were mages, so naturally he gravitated towards Anders and his talks of rebellion. After Carver joined the Templar order, Gavin felt such betrayal that, he started falling into a hole of mage extremism, openly opposing the chantry and advocating on the fall of the circles. When Anders asked him for help to get the ingridients for an "antidote", Gavin realised his plan, he knew that if he comforted Anders, he wouldn't go with it, so Gavin played dumb and helped Anders carry out the attack in secret. After the attack he and Anders fled Kirkwall to help the newly made apostates.
Dai
Name: Circe Trevelyan
Class: warrior ( sword & shield )
Race: human
Romance: Josephine
Pronouns: she/her
age: 26
Sided: Templars
Little backstory: Circe was born into a religious and noble house in the free marches, she is the oldest child in her family and so the next head of it. She was frequently sent into the chantry for lessons on the maker and she still is very devout, she has minimal combat training, and lots of political knowledge. Circe was delighted to meet madam de fer, openly supporting her ideas and openly helping her re-make the circles, the alliance between Vivienne and Circe was a powerful one, only strengthened by Vivienne's ascension to devine-hood. Circe also openly supports the Templars, boldly taking their side in the templar-mage rebellion, deciding to remake the order, Circe was determined to put an end to the rebellion. It was only natural that a spark would fly between her and the inquisition's ambassador, the two of them fell madly in love after a painfully long period of mutual pining. She plans on stopping Solas no matter what the cost, she does not believe that he can be redeemed.
How is your Trevelyan inquisitor in Trespasser? Is he still with Dorian?
Oof, I have so much self-indulgent angst lined up between the end of the main game and the start of Trespasser… Also, THANK YOU for asking about him! Haha. You made a rather miserable evening 100% brighter.
Breif mention of unhealthy alcohol habits, painful breakup (temporary), mental struggles, and physical pain & acquired disability.
Adam is… not doing so well, physically or mentally at the very start of Trespasser. He supported Dorian’s choice to return to Tevinter, but they broke up before he went back, and it left Adam absolutely devastated.
He masked it by throwing himself into sealing leftover rifts and spending as much time out in the field as possible. He was very reckless with his life, but no one except Sara and Bull seemed to notice or really care.
His hand/the anchor is slowly killing him, and he’s in private agony with it. He’s isolated, frightened, and has no idea what to do about it. He wants to disband the Inquisition as soon as possible, and after speaking to Varric at the start of the council, is planning to retreat to his new estate in Kirkwall (he’d been vaguely thinking of buying somewhere in the Free Marches before that to do the same) where he plans to drink (healthy), tinker with his traps and explosives, and retire from private life until the anchor kills him. He knows it’s going to kill him, but he doesn’t like Vivienne much, and he can’t contact Dorian (doesn’t want to bother him) and Solas is nowhere to be found. (His twin sister is a mage, but he doesn’t want to worry her).
The events of Trespasser see his plans change and his life turned upside down again, but he was especially hurt that Dorian didn’t tell him he was going to be at the talks as the ambassador from Tevinter, and seeing him again stirred it all up again. After it’s all over, he and Dorian talk. Tears are shed, and the two vow never to make decisions thinking they know what’s best for the other or their relationship (that was fundamentally why they broke up - Dorian couldn’t allow himself to believe that Adam truly was devoted to him, and Adam thought Dorian was too good for him. Ugh).
After Trespasser, Adam spends a lot of time recovering from his injuries in Kirkwall before acquiring a funky prosthetic from Dagna and joining the Red Jennies, but inevitably heading to Tevinter to help Dorian (while still with the Red Jennies). There’s a lot he can’t do in Tevinter because he’s still relatively well known, but he knows he’s helping Dorian even if it’s just being a welcoming partner at the end of the day… He also might or might not be involved with smuggling slaves out of Tevinter to freedom…
In Tevinter, becomes besties with Maevaris, and the two of them lovingly gang up on Dorian whenever they can.
He almost never goes back to his family in the Free Marches, but he does visit his twin sister when he can, who is now teaching at one of the new colleges of enchanters, and his older sister, who has an estate outside of Val Royeaux.
Thanks for asking! I’ve thought about Adam a lot lately, and you made my evening.
Dragon Age: Dark Age Chapter 2 (Edited)
Long were the months that passed as all of Fereldan waited for the arrival of the new baby of Teyrness Rutherford. In fact, it brought new friends to help them with all the chaos that was about to erupt with a new noble baby. Josephine had made her way back to Skyhold as if she had never left. She had left to help her family with all the new trade that was being circulated after Evelyn was able to help Josephine get trade in Ferelden. She was once again the ambassador that was going to handle all the affairs that came with having an heir. Countless betrothal requests were coming in for baby Rutherford even though they were not sure if was a boy or girl. With the Teyrn being so new there was much to organize and facilitate that Josephine was eager to help with.
As the days grew closer to the arrival of the new baby, many came in the hopes that they could at least greet their new lord or lady as well as pay respects to the new Teyrn and his wife as there had not been a proper ceremony since Cullen and Evelyn had become the higher nobility of Fereldan. Evelyn had been very sick throughout her pregnancy, and many feared for her life and the life of their unborn child. So, it was directed by many healers that she remains in bed and or not doing anything too strenuous in order to keep her and the baby safe. Cullen was left to deal with nobles, land squabbles, and anything else that would be required of Evelyn as she was the only one that had experience in the matter.
Cullen loathed each and every day as he had to listen to the pettiness of many. He knew he was not cut out for this but if it meant Evelyn and his child would live then he had no issue with it. Or rather he was less inclined to get up and leave in the middle of the meeting. Many days he would imagine helping with the soldiers that were under his command again, but Josephine was always there to bring him back to reality reminding him that this was all for his family.
It was a bright morning on the morning of 9:48 Dragon and Cullen have already had his fill for the day of politics. Vivienne, who was the first mage who volunteered to help with Evelyn and the baby’s health promptly came downstairs to lean into Cullens ear and whisper, “It's time."
Cullens eyes open wide as he nods to the guards and at Josephine to clear the throne room.
"I must take my leave as a very important matter needs my attention." As he stands up and bows out.
He nods one last time at Josephine to take over and without seeming to be in too much of a hurry he heads up to Evelyn's chambers.
As he makes his way up the stairs, he hears the words "Push, push!" As he heard this along with the moans and cries of his wife, he froze.
He didn't know if he wanted to go into the room. How can he see her in that much pain? He had almost lost her twice in the span of three years, what if he loses her today?
" I need Cullen, where is he?" She asked as she pushed through the pain.
" He should be on his way, my lady."
With that, he knew he needed to be by her side. He hurried the rest of the way up to their chambers and saw her on the bed pushing as the midwife was looking under the sheets to preserve her modesty. As soon as he saw her he hurried to her side and offered his had that Evelyn was all happy to take.
"It's alright I am here now." He said as he moved her now long hair out of her face.
****
Hours passed and Evelyn was barely making any progress. She was exhausted and it was beginning to look grim. Evelyn was growing pale and even the healers knew that the baby was not going to hold on much longer. Cullen dropped his head and prayed to Andraste and the maker for help.
"Maker please, don't let it end like this. I have been faithful; I have fought for so long in your name. Please if I could ask for one thing, it would be to save my wife and my child, please."
Then a light caught his attention. He looked up in a swift motion and what he saw looked almost like the bright silhouette of a woman. Just as fast as it appeared if it flashed towards Cullen and Evelyn. He closed his eyes and held his arm up to shield his eyes from the bright light. When he opens them, the light is gone, and Evelyn begins to scream in pain. The healer quickly lifts the blanket over her and looks stunned.
"Listen, the baby's head is halfway out. I need you to push hard my lady, push like your life depends on it."
Evelyn nods her head, understanding what she needs to do. With the next contraction, she pushes with all her might lifting half her body up to help. Then she falls back onto the bed. A moment of silence that seemed to last far too long, when finally, a baby's cries filled the room. Cullen let out a breath not realizing that he had been holding it.
"It's a girl!" The midwife exclaims as she wipes off the girl and hands her to Evelyn.
"Thank the Maker, she's alright, you are alright." exclaimed Cullen as he kissed Evelyn's head.
The baby was placed in Evelyn’s arms and as soon as the baby was against her chest she immediately calmed and began to root. Evelyn moved her tunic off to the side and the baby was able to latch onto Evelyn's nipple to be fed.
As the healers made sure that they would be alright they left the new family to bond. Cullen stroked his child's head gently and then kissed the top of Evelyn’s as he saw that the color finally returned to her face.
“I thought I had almost lost you.”
“I was so afraid, Cullen. I was so afraid that the baby was not going to make it, but then it was like a burst of energy entered my body and I was able to push through it. I am not sure what happened.
Cullen was shocked as he realized that Evelyn had not seen the woman or the light just before the baby was born. He didn’t know what to make of it and would be asking around later, but right now he was just relieved that who ever it was helped save his wife and child.
“Would you like to hold her?” Evelyn asked looking up at Cullen.
He reaches out to his daughter and then pulls back. " I have never held a baby before.” It was true as even though he had nieces and nephews, he never held them. He only got to meet them when Evelyn forced him to go and visit his family.
"It's alright, I will help you."
Cullen gives Eveyln an unsure look. She slightly nudges him to hold their daughter when he finally takes the little girl slowly into his arms.
"Mind her head," Evelyn says.
Cullen looked down at his daughter and everything in the world seemed to stop. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. She was so small and fragile, yet it took so much for her to come into this world. The Maker and Andraste answered his prayers. He began to sway her back and forth smiling as she seemed to fall asleep in his arms.
"What should we name her?" Asks Cullen.
"Well, I was thinking about Alyndra."
"That is a beautiful name. What is it from?"
"It was my grandmother's name."
Welcome to the world my little lady. Alyndra.
Sylani 17 and 33
aaah thank you for the ask!!
17: How did they solve the dispute between Empress Celene, Ambassador Briala and Grand Duke Gaspard?
If memory serves me right (and Dragon Age Keep haha), Sylani chose to reunite Celene and Briala. She absolutely did not trust Gaspard and did not want him anywhere near Orlais' political wheel.
Not that she trusts Celene, but she definitely wants Briala to have more say and more opportunities in making it all better for the elven people. Besides, Sylani has been whispered in her ear both by Leliana and Vivienne, so this was also a heavily influenced decision!
33: Which place at Skyhold does your Inquisitor spend the most time at?
Sylani is quite outdoorsy, so she likes to hang out in the gardens or in Skyhold yard. She also spends a lot of time with Blackwall and likes to sit in a quiet corner in the tavern when people gather for a meal and a drink!
But in the evening she also loves to spend time in her bed chambers, reading or doing her Dalish religious rituals and the like, just resting or having Blackwall over for company!
Ah, I see... Well- you didn't hear this from me, but... you could always try booby-trapping the entrance, if you want to keep people out. They'll soon learn to stay away.
Hi! Can I request dai companions reacting to receiving baked goods made by Inky (including romance options if possible)? ^^♡
This was so fun to write! I tried to research some foods of Thedas to predict what kind of baked goods the characters would like <3
Cassandra gasps as she is presented with a small fruit pie. She sniffs it gingerly and- yes! It has spiced pears inside. One of her favourite delicacies from home. Cassandra holds the pie close to her chest and thanks the Inquisitor with a huge smile. She offers them a piece, but they decline. She digs in immediately and makes a mental note to ask the Inquisitor to make more.
If romanced, the Seeker will take the pie with a shy smile. She tastes it, then feeds a forkful to the wonderful man that made it for her. Cassandra loves it. She finds the gesture very romantic, and if she were the swooning type... well, to say she enjoyed the pie would be an understatement. "You are amazing."
Solas raises his eyebrows in surprise. He was not expecting a plate of sugar cake, and yet one somehow appeared on his desk anyways. "Inquisitor, you continue to surprise me." He's not sure what to do. Does he return the gesture and make a cake for them? Solas finally settles on eating the damn thing and is not disappointed when he does.
If romanced, Solas will stop what he's doing to try the cake his vhenan baked for him. It tastes even better than it looks. He kisses the Inquisitor's cheek and thanks her for the delicious cake. The interaction is enough to bring a smile to his face for the rest of the day. He will miss her cakes.
Varric sets his quill down when the Inquisitor comes to him with a fish and egg pie, specifically from Starkhaven. He barks out a laugh as he's reminded of Sebastian, and accepts the plate. "Andraste's ass Inquisitor, this actually tastes good! You deserve a medal." By the end of the evening, he's full of pie and warm memories of his friends.
Dorian peers over his book and raises an eyebrow. On the table in front of him is a loaf of freshly baked bread and a side of olive oil. It's a common dish in Tevinter, and also happens to be one of his favourites. The homesickness slowly ebbs away as he takes a bite. By the time Dorian is done, he's practically begging them to bake more.
If romanced, Dorian will laugh as he's greeted with a plate of bread and a kiss. "What's this, amatus?" When he's finished, he kisses his love's knuckles and thanks him. Internally, he thinks 'I cannot fall in love. I cannot fall in love. I cannot- oh kaffas.'
Sera looks at the cookies in front of her and snickers. There has to be some kind of prank involved. Raisins? After a thorough inspection, she realises the Inquisitor just made them for her to enjoy. Sera eats them all at lightning speed. She can't help it. They just taste so darn good.
After receiving the plate of cookies, Sera peppers her Honey Tongue's face with kisses. The cookies were perfect. And the first person her Inky thought of to give them too was her? Sera isn't the type to blush, but her face brightens with a wide grin.
Blackwall glances at the plate then back at the Inquisitor, raising an eyebrow to ask 'Is this for me?' He sets down his wood carving tools and takes a bite from the Ferelden pasties. They're warm and flaky, and perfect to eat during his break. He offers the Inquisitor some and they sit in the barn, eating together.
If romanced, Blackwall's heart practically explodes with adoration for the Inquisitor. The nagging thought that he doesn't deserve her is promptly shoved to the back of his mind as he digs into the pasties. They are wonderful. She is wonderful.
Cole looks at the plate of bread rolls and informs the Inquisitor that he doesn't eat. He sees the look on their face, hears the momentary panic in their mind and takes a bite anyways. "I don't need to eat, but I want to." It makes the Inquisitor happy.
The Iron Bull observes the plate of cinnamon rolls with a certain wariness. The last time he had these, they were poisoned by a friend. These ones are just fine, however. Screw fine. They're delicious!
If romanced, he brings his kadan into his lap and feeds them a piece of a roll. Bull thanks them with a kiss (much to the chagrin of Krem, though he stops complaining as soon as he's offered one too). "My kadan is a badass and an excellent baker as well? Damn, I'm lucky."
Madame de Fer. Iron Lady. The name strikes fear into the hearts of weaker opponents, so it is strange to see Vivienne lose her composure. She's touched by the gifts of powdered biscuits, and after the loss of her dear Bastien, it's just what she needed. Vivienne thanks the Inquisitor with many darlings and my dears, and quietly tucks in, her heart warm with thoughts of her lover and baked goods.
Cullen glances up at the icing dusted biscuits presented before him. "These are for me?" He eyes the biscuits, then his paperwork, then gives in to the temptation of the sweet treats. Cullen feels less stressed about his day than before, and happily tucks into them with a soothing cup of tea by the side of his desk.
If romanced, Cullen blushes at the sight of the heart shaped biscuits. They're cute and sweet (much like the person in front of him) so he has no choice but to ignore his paperwork. He's already thinking of a million ways he can return the favour.
Leliana blinks at the plate of cookies in front of her. "You are too kind, Inquisitor." She takes them with a rare, genuine smile and allows herself to relax. It's an odd feeling to be sure, but not an unwelcome one.
Josephine has about a billion things to do. Organise a party between an Antivan and Orlesian ambassador, spread support for the Inquisition in the little villages of Ferelden and... eat baked goods? She decides to make it a priority on her never ending to-do list and doesn't regret a single crumb.
If romanced, Josie finds a giggle easily reaching her lips. "Did you make this, my love?" She's all 'thank you's and bright smiles. Her love's baking has her glowing with happiness all day long.
“Let’s drink wine and trash talk our co-workers.” + Dorian
Sorry @dadrunkwriting that this is now Saturday morning, don’t know what it is about Fridays but I always seem to fall asleep before I can post! Hopefully it’s ok to sneak this in a little late.
--
Dorian strode quickly into Josephine’s office, his pace determined, the charming smile on his face bright and cheery, the bottle of wine in his right hand expensive and accompanied by two glasses in his left.
“Lady Montilyet!” He introduced himself to her presence with an enthusiastic greeting, “just who I was hoping to find. Are you still working? Tsk tsk!”
Josephine looked up from her desk, alarm fading to amusement as she took in the sight of him smiling and strutting about. “Yes, Lord Pavus,” she greeted in return, chuckling as Dorian winced with her use of a title, “what can I do for you?”
“Do for me?” Dorian repeated, smile growing, “you have it backwards my good lady, it is what I can do for you,” he planted himself in one of the chairs across from her at her desk, and placed the bottle of wine and two glass wine goblets he carried in front of her. “Tell me, do you know what this is?”
Josephine looked at the label on the bottle, and then back up to Dorian, eyes widening. “That is a very fine Antivan wine,” she answered.
Dorian smirked, and returned her answer with a slight nod, “the very finest. I’d like you to share it with me.” he said.
Josephine raised an eyebrow. “What do you want, Dorian?”
Dorian raised a hand to his chest, opened his mouth in a wide, showy gasp, and shook his head, feigning offence. “Want?” he said, “what do I want?” he chuckled, “why, nothing but simple gossip, of course.”
“Why?” asked the ambassador, eyebrow still raised.
“Oh I see, the Tevinter mage offers you a lovely gift, so he must have ulterior motives, it couldn’t possibly be that he simply enjoys your company, that he knew you would be the only person in this Maker-forsaken pile of stone atop the frozen peak of a bloody isolated mountain who might be able to properly appreciate the bouquet of flavours and aromas such a vintage has to offer...”
He gestured over the bottle of wine, magically uncorking it with a gentle pop, while Josephine rolled her eyes.
“You’re a darling, I’m sure,” she said, “nothing but the purest intentions.”
Dorian nodded seriously. “Quite right,” he said, “the Qunari, he’s a spy, that one brings you a bottle to share in order to gain information on the Inquisition’s business, though he is at least upfront about it,” Dorian explained, “Varric, a drink with him is an opportunity to be plied for material to populate his next book,” he went on, shaking his head, “Vivienne, well, she would only want to further her own position in some way, but me?” he smiled again, “my good Lady Montilyet, I am simply bored out of my very mind.” He picked up the bottle, poured a little into one glass, swirled it around, and offered it to Josephine. With an amused half-smile, she took it. “So please, do me this favour, and let us drink wine and gossip about our co-workers.” He poured himself a glass as well, swirling around the deep red liquid and inhaling over the top of his glass with a sigh.
Josephine laughed, raised her glass, and tapped it into Dorian’s with a bright clink. “I believe I could make time for that.” she agreed.
