does ian trust mickey to take care of his tomatoes for him? like lets say ian’s having a bad day, or he’s sick, or working late or whatever, he’s unable to care for his precious tomatoes. would he ask mickey to help him with them or would he banish mickey from them for he doesn’t want mickey fucking them up??????

he totally trusts mickey to take care of them! bc mickey knows how much ian loves his tomato children! i also think he'd trust carl or debs with them 🍅

mickey might just give them basic care instead of the full diagnostic ian might run slkdjf but he even tries to chat with them like ian would 😇 "you guys uhhh good n stuff? don't fuckin die before ian gets back please"

How would you rank the 9-1-1 seasons? Also do you watch lone star?

ohhh what a question askdfh okay i'm going to try to rank these on overall quality of the season as a whole as opposed to just my favourite episodes that i always go back but also this task feels absolutely impossible and i will probably change my mind 20 times lmao. i'm not gonna include season 7 yet just because we're still in it so my mind might change but here's how i'd rank them currently:

Season 3

i do really think just in terms of the overall story and where we were at with each character s3 is the sweet spot. all the relationships are established, there's some excellent character work and i'd struggle to name a 'bad' episode from that season even if there are some i don't rewatch often

2. Season 4/Season 5

okay i'm cheating putting them side by side but i honestly can't choose sadkjhf season 4 has some of my favourite episodes from the entire show and has some absolutely Incredible storytelling but i will admit there are a few eps in that season that i find very boring lmao. and then with season 5, i genuinely believe 5b is some of the best work they've ever done on the show. like it's perfect, there are no skips, every episode is 10/10. and while i do like a lot of 5a, it's just not the same with maddie and chimney being gone for so much of it so it loses points for me in that regard

3. Season 2

a v fun season overall that i think really captures the tone of what 911 is. some of my favourite comfort eps are in that season and i think it's definitely probably one of the seasons that's most enjoyable to watch/rewatch??? so while i think it has some incredibly strong eps, parts of the season are just that little bit more forgettable to me than s3-5 are??? (but that could also be bc i was watching s4/5 live)

4. Season 1/Season 6

okay i'm cheating again but i have different reasons for ranking them both here askdjs. starting with season 1: it's a good season but i very often consider it the 'prequel' season since we don't have eddie or maddie and all the other characters' lives change so drastically afterwards. so while i do like it a lot it's just my 911 y'know askdjhf as for s6, its not a bad season by any means!!! like it's not. i rewatched it just before s7 aired and for the vast majority of the eps i was v much enjoying it (it also has some Stellar eps in there too like the athena's cold case, henren begins, the lightning strike arc and the madney proposal) however - and this is not the fault of the actors/writers - a lot of it does feel quite stagnant??? which i think largely speaks to the fact that the show was being prevented from being all it could be under fox. like the storylines are good and they have potential, they just don't really take that extra step, y'know????

and re: lone star, i actually watched it before 911 lmao. i've seen the first two seasons but i haven't kept up since, tbh it just didn't hold my attention the way 911 did!

It's extremely dark yeah but I did watch a bit of a lets play afterwards (mostly to find that FUCKING door which was in the SAME FUCKING ROOM WITH ME- I'm not mad I'm just....pissed askdfh) and they tend to up the brightness a lot so you could actually see shit while you watched them play.

​I would suggest taking a glance at the lets play first (even if you don't watch all of it) I haven't gotten past the first route bcs I rage quit after looking for a door I legit couldn't see for like five minutes straight.

The reviews praise it up and down but I will say the lack of light can be straight up annoying. Maybe if you have more patience and screen brightness than me but that's definitely something to keep in mind

Buck frowns as he watches Taylor approach Lucy and he has the thought, I should probably deal with that.

But then Eddie’s shifting closer in his peripheral vision and, well, he gets distracted.

“You doin’ okay?” Eddie asks softly when he looks back to him. He’s still covered in the remnants of the fire – soot on his brow, a thin sheen of dried sweat across his forehead – but he looks lighter than he has in weeks and something in Buck thrums at the sight of it.

“I should be asking you that,” he quips, just as soft, fist connecting with Eddie’s chest in a way that’s too gentle to even be considered a friendly punch. “First time out on the field in a while.”

Eddie huffs a laugh and he’s happy, Buck can tell. He’s pretty sure his own happiness shouldn’t be this tethered to Eddie but he’s also pretty sure Eddie’s been personally responsible for at least seventy-five percent of his happiness for about four years now.

“It felt good,” Eddie admits, almost shy like he’s embarrassed to want it when it’s all Buck has longed to hear from him for the past three months.

“Yeah, well. It felt good working with you again,” he says, eyes fixed on the strap of Eddie’s suspenders instead of his face. He can’t help glancing up at the last second though. “I sort of missed having my partner around.”

Eddie’s expression melts into some combination of understanding and affection that has Buck ducking his head to hide the blush quickly colouring his cheeks.

“Same,” he murmurs and Buck has the ridiculous urge to catch Eddie’s hand where it’s hanging by his side and just- not let go.

He doesn’t because at least some part of his brain is still functioning but once he has the thought it’s hard to shake it away

“Are you seriously okay though?” Eddie asks then and Buck finally drags his eyes back up to look at him properly. “I mean with Cap and everything. I know it was-“

Fucking terrifying?

One of Buck’s worst fears come to life?

Yeah.

“I’m okay,” he says, the slight wobble in his voice betraying him. Eddie’s mouth tilts in sympathy. “It’s- he’ll be okay.”

“Of course he will,” Eddie says because he loves Bobby too and Buck knows he’s just as worried even if he’s better at hiding it. “It’s Bobby.”

Buck nods, tries for a smile that becomes a little more real when Eddie returns it.

“You uh- when we’re finished up here, wanna come back to mine? Decompress?”

It’s what they’d usually do after a heavy call – when Buck couldn’t face going back to the loft alone, when Eddie would be quieter than usual in the back of the ladder truck – Buck would silently follow Eddie home. They’d have a beer neither of them would really drink and sit on the couch pressed shoulder to shoulder watching some dumb sitcom until the day finally felt like a memory instead of something they were both stuck reliving.

Buck’s been at the Diaz house more than his own loft in the past month but still, the urge to go, to claim back a little part of their routine that they’d lost twists longingly in his chest.

“Yeah,” he says, something like comfort burrowing beneath his skin. “Let’s do that.”

Eddie nods – resolute, content – and brushes his knuckles so quickly against Buck’s side Buck almost thinks he imagines it. “I’m gonna ask Hen for an update.”

Buck watches him go and knows, for the first time in a long time, that Eddie’s coming back.

40. stab wound in the back

Ah, that smile. The smile that made him feel warm and happy and wanted. The smile that made him strive to be better. 

Blue eyes slid closed briefly as Rigr’s slender hand slid into silver locks. There were times when Ferid simply wished to embrace this man.. this man who had taken him by the hand and led him away from the pain and the wretched loneliness that had been his life. 

But he couldn’t bring himself to do it. He did not deserve it, however badly he wanted it. So, instead he reopened his eyes to gaze upon that smile. He would allow himself that.

But it was wrong now. The smile was wrong. 

Bloodied. A rushing noise started in his ears and he vaguely noticed the hand in his hair, slipping away, down the side of his face. Ferid’s wide eyes dropped down to Rigr’s chest, staring blankly; there was a blade, jutting out, red and dripping. He could feel the horrified gasp catch in his throat, choking him. 

The hand sliding down his face wrapped around his throat- no longer a caress- and Rigr yanked him forward, till they were nose to nose. The soft, lyrical voice that was usually so kind, so affectionate, came out in a venomous hiss.

‘You did this. You.’

Ferid shot up in bed with a strangled gasp, blue eyes staring straight ahead.

That dream. That wretched dream again. He could feel tears leaking out of the corners of his eyes, but he didn’t move. The dream felt so real.

It always felt so real, and it hurt.
