🧩 ⇢ what will make you click away from a fanfiction immediately?

Formatting! 😭I absolutely hate when a story is posted where everything is in gigantic 20 sentence long paragraphs. Especially when the dialogue is added all together in there too. Dialogue should ideally be its own line/paragraph. Sometimes too many spelling errors can make me not want to read as well. And I don't mean like occasional typos and slip-ups, I mean when it sounds like someone didn't at least give the text a reread to make sure it all makes sense first.

🐇 ⇢ do you prefer writing original characters, reader inserts, or a mix of both? 

This depends on the type of story I am writing. I usually prefer making original characters, its the most fulfilling and fun to me, but xReader/Reader insert is pretty nice when you're making a oneshot series. Even then, I can never not give "Reader" in my stories some kind of nickname or personality to fit the narration and make things flow more naturally.

☁️ ⇢ what made you choose your username?

I have a thing for the element of fire. Warmth and heat is such a versatile thing with emotions and if you've ever read my stuff, I use the idea of fire and heat a lot. So Umber is the color of like a burnt brown/orange usually and Cinders are the charred pieces of what's left after something has burned away

I think you're absolutely fantastic with making the characters so true to who they are.

It's very, very easy to write OOC fics, and while I don't mind it if it fits the narrative, there's nothing better than a fic that captures the essence of the character perfectly. You have a way with words, and I love how you put so much thought and effort into giving us fresh stories each time.

Chrys and Rasalas are childhood friends!

Chrys (whos name is short for Chrysanthemum) is a prince of a small country, but is the younger of the two royal siblings. because of this, he tends to leave the palace more to run around town, which is how he met Rasalas. everyone in town loves him, he’s the cute baby prince who brings a smile to everyone’s face.

Rasalas is the son of a seamstress in town. he comes off as super cool and intimidating, but he’s really shy and gets flustered super easily, especially when it comes to the super hyperactive and extroverted Chrys.

Rasalas practice archery, and he meets Chrys when Chrys sees him practicing out in a small grove near the palace. Chrys basically fell in love with him on sight lmao. they were both 10-11 years old at this point.

Rasalas is self-taught for a long time until a famous master archer takes notice of him and offers to train him a couple years later. the only issue is that Rasalas would have to leave and go with him. Chrys is sad, but encourages Rasalas to do it if he wants it. So, Rasalas leaves and doesn’t return for several years.

theyre reunited when Rasalas returned home after completing his training. he comes back to find Chrys still hopelessly smitten with him. they’re around 21-22 at this point, and Rasalas is still shy and repressed and is absolutely in love with Chrys but he never learned how to speak lmao. he’s pretty badass at archery now, he gets offers to join the royal guard now and then, but he decides to open a fletchery/bowyery shop instead and give archery lessons.

despite their obvious feelings for each other it takes the two of them a long time to realize that theyre actually in love because theyre both super oblivious in different ways. Rasalas was Chrys’s second friend ever, so these weird flippy feelings are definitely Friendship Feelings, right??? definitely. meanwhile, Rasalas is just... awkward.

Hi anon! Lol I post on my RP accounts because its fun for me. I genuinely don't care if it doesn't get attention. I'm a writer and artist with a big imaginative brain, and I'm mostly documenting my OC's personalities and lives while having fun talking to others in the process.

The sims 3 community is extremely small now, so I'm not expecting much reaction on what I post. But if you're discouraged about no one paying attention, I would say try to encourage others to interact the way you'd want to be interacted with. It doesn't always mean they'll respond in kind, but I believe in leading by example.

With that being said, I chat with anyone who's willing to interact with me, no matter which game they play. If you have sims you want to roleplay or post, feel free to just drop a comment or something. I could always use more active people to follow.

what song makes you feel better?

You’d be surprised at how many times I’ve cried and danced to this one. In general album1 is good for both, but I love “forever free” in particular because, for me, it’s a song that tells you that you don’t have to pretend to feel some particular way, or to be someone you aren’t. The self that you’re working with now is just who you’re meant to be in this moment, so you’ve got to be open to letting that moment ride. “It’s okay / we don’t have to fix it now.” So much love.
