There are so many things I want to change about this drawing, which is why I want to redo it later, but I spent a ludicrous amount of time on this version already, so I might as well post it. Plus, I still love the design for tr!ros' dress, so that kind of redeems this piece a little bit 💜

cress deeeefinetely has the most intricate mental library of brainrot known to man,,, like she’s been alone in a satellite for years with nothing but fanfics, conspiracy theories, obscure memes, and a deeeeply parasocial relationship with a celebrity prince that she literally helps kidnap (for good reason but still LMAOOO) girl’s brain is a deeptok fever dream like,, you quote an ancient vine? she’s already three references ahead, tracing it back to its cultural origin like a librarian of cursed knowledge and blah blah blah blah blah. ------ she has entire ship dynamics categorized by tropes and emotional damage level. she hears 'enemies to lovers' and starts twitching,, someone says 'found family' and she starts compiling a thesis in her head., the rest of the Rampion crew is like “haha that’s a funny post” (not iko tho i believe she would lowkey be able to keep up in this aspect) and cress is spiralling into a multiverse of AUs where that one meme directly parallels her tragic imaginary romance arc from 6 years ago.and do NOT get her started on fanon lore. she will not stop. she has references. footnotes. citations.

Since it's canon that he can jump into technology ala SSSS/Gridman, Danny takes advantage of that ability to do his homework at superspeed. And destroy viruses as part of a money making scheme

Please forgive me as I steer this towards a more selfish Danny but imagine if after a while Danny starts making viruses himself in order to destroy them. Given his secret leg up, he far outpaced his competitors in terms of speed, efficiency, and most importantly, price. The problem was Danny was a little too good at this side job of his. Not only did he get rid of viruses but he also fortified the systems he was hired to fix, creating a bunch of systems now immune to any malware on the block..... And subsequently putting Danny out of a job. So being the dumb teen that he is he comes up with a plan.

Danny partners up with a semi reformed Technus to create mutated malware that would only be able to be defeated by physically fighting them within the program (ie something only Danny was capable of). But in typical Saturday cartoon hijinks, these new viruses and the like mutate out of control and start doing a lot of actual damage. Considering there's just one Danny and a lot of malware running rampant, he has no choice but to get help.

Coincidentally, Oracle had been tracking this weird surge in new mutant malware for a while now. She was working on figuring out their source when a digital teen shows up on her computer screen asking for help. One explanation later and Oracle is PISSED to say the least but she agrees to help. She also calls up some other tech savvy heroes to come help too. All of which Danny pulls into the system via their screen.

A tongue lashing the likes of which would even put Jazz to shame awaits Danny when all of this is over but for now, he gets to fight within a virtual landscape alongside some of his idols. Which is a definite win in his book.

Bleeding out, shy to meet an old friend for the first time

there’s something interesting about death in eldermourne. there’s something haunting the third mates, like a cold hand waiting to lead them to death.

zirk gave up his life in an effort to save irena. he made a deal with a winter fairy of death for one last chance, and failed. he died, right then and there. throughout the journey, zirk was always the first to drop unconscious. the first to die, but somehow still managing to live. even when he fully died, he was able to revivify.

fia nearly died as a child, but was saved by batilda. she is a woman stuck in her past, chasing the one person she cared for as a kid long into adulthood. irena became her one mission in life. fia is a nostalgic at heart, her powers are time based. stop the clock, rewind, and try it again.

i wonder if fia’s “time devil” and zirk’s winter fairy are one in the same. in a world of reincarnation, death can really just be the stopping of a clock, rewinding it, and setting it to go again. why would one random winter fairy reach out to zirk in that moment of desperation? why does this fairy care about this mission?

there is a haunting of death in eldermourne. monsters and fairies lurk around every corner. but no fiends. no devils. but i suppose any fairy with darker motives would seem more like a devil than a god. there is no trickier devil of time than death itself.
