Tubbo: PFTTT—?!
Spreen: [Laughs as he jumps off the ledge]
Tubbo: [Continues laughing in confused delight]

Tubbo as a character trying his best to be a good leader and stick to his morals and do what’s best for his team and his friends, only for who he’s leading to not listen to him, not respect him and his leadership, then push the weight of the blame onto him and call him a traitor. Hmmm where have I seen this before

Imagine
After killing c!Dream and running around to tell people about it, c!clingy actually makes it to c!Punz in time.
They see him in the middle of reviving Dream. They realize what he's doing. Tommy tackles Punz, Tubbo grabs the revival book. Punz is knocked out. They don't know what to do.
They talk about it. Figure out what he was doing from the half written "Dre" in the pages. In a fit of rage, Tubbo beats Punz to death with the revival book.
Fucking ironic.
But it's over. It's done, well and truly done. Dream is dead. They have the revival book.
It's time to plan their trip to L'Moonburg

One potential bad ending for Fault
It's a degree more possessive and controlling than SCP Philza actually is, but I just have this vision of if SCP Tubbo really did try to abandon the group on the grounds of their moral principles:
It would be a gut punch to him to for any of his Collected to betray his vow like that. But I think he could almost manage enough when they left, on the grounds of it being a vicarious Collection. The main problem is Tommy's Collection of Tubbo, because if Tommy tries to leave with Tubbo there isn't a chance of Philza allowing it. He'll keep Tommy no matter what it takes, and console him if Tubbo still decides to leave.
...but only early on. Because the moment Philza finds out Tommy only survived his recent bout of suicidality was Tubbo, there isn't a chance he lets them go. Besides, they didn't stand a chance without the others for protection. He'd promise almost anything to make Tubbo stay, and in the angst scenario Tubbo just. Wouldn't buy it. And tried to leave.
But Philza wouldn't let them. Of course not. And honestly what could Tubbo do to stop him?
The moment they tried anything he can instantly smoke them. If Philza saw it as the only option he could keep Tubbo trapped in stasis indefinitely, dipping in and out of consciousness at his whim. Awake just long enough to eat, not really lucid enough to remember what's happening. Just curled up next to Philza with their head resting in his lap, unable to hurt themselves or Tommy in this state. He could set the entire world on fire just so he could sense every last Tubbo bee and capture them harmlessly. Philza is almost perfectly designed to Secure, Contain, and Protect Tubbo in a way that makes for a delicious reflection of the Foundation. Tubbo would never stop trying to escape.
The others would be horrified, of course, even once Philza explained exactly why he's doing it. The Blade would definitely try to break them out, and it would tangle in with the guilt that part of it was his fault since they were so much easier to imprison without their legs, which could barely heal when held in stasis for so long. Wil had this extra horror with the way his identity circles around the ability to escape, and he couldn't understand it. Maybe he should've seen it coming, though, with the way Philza followed after him no matter how many times he tried to run as a kid. Eventually he'd been convinced it was for the best, but was it?
And Tommy...well. Something in him broke that day. He never really recovered.
I just have this vision of it going on for years, and Philza melting sand into a dome to trap them under so that Tubbo doesn't have to be smoked any more. After so long exposed to an embodiment of nature, the dome is filled to the brim with flourishing plant life so dense it blocks out the sky. It's trapped in a perpetual Spring year round. Fire and smoke fills the only exit so no bees can escape, and intruders will be burned alive, and he'll know if any of his children enter. Well, Tommy never leaves the 'greenhouse', but beyond that. It's well defended from any threats, though the Foundation never stops trying. Philza more often than not is in dragon form, winding around the area in an impenetrable barrier to protect his hoard. He says it's to keep them safe. It's because he's alienated himself too much from his Collected to remain humanoid. Each year the giant ever bloody gouges in his body grow a little deeper.
In the center of the dome lays Tubbos' abandoned body. The swarms don't touch it anymore, preferring what little freedom they have. They scatter around the dome, dully poking at eternally blooming flowers. Some linger around Tommy. The swarms don't talk much, either. Tubbo is scarcely distinguishable from regular bees anymore.

I just woke up and got blasted with the info one of the teams is going down [headinhands]
I'm SO sad it's probably SoulFire because all of my favorite cubitos are there ALL OF THEIR STORIES WILL JUDT DROP DEAD?? PLEASE NO
It sounds like both teams are down to like 2-ish players who can be active today but Green Gay Ninjas I think are both more willing and more capable to do what it takes to win- versus SoulFire is trying to tie it but I don't think it'll happen 😭
I'm just like???? There'd gotta be a trick here. The admin team wouldn't permakill their most active and influential players on normal QSMP would they???????

I don’t know how any of y’all can call that ending good when it has Tommy apologizing to Dream. With Tommy saying he understands Dream. Sure, you could say Tommy has an unhealthy thing going on and it’s meant to show how fucked up he is but it’s not even remotely framed that way. Not even a little bit. Like hey hi what the fuck I don’t care how much history or what his reasons were. Either Tommy should beat that motherfucker with an axe or spit in his face with a defiant “guess we’ll both die” and that’s it. Why would they ever think this was a good idea

Ok I’ve slept and have some thoughts about the dsmp finale, obvious spoilers under the readmore and unless otherwise specified this is about the characters not content creators!
First and foremost (and possibly most controversially) I enjoyed the ending for the most part, sure there were scuffed bits and bits that didn’t entirely make sense how it was portrayed but the ending felt cohesive. I’m proud of what cc!Tommy created!
There are a few things I am for the most part headcanoning that while not directly stated in the lore as far as I’m concerned are actually canon:
1. When Tommy said “I’m sorry dream” he wasn’t apologising for being “a problem” or “a pest” I think it was more an apology to himself than anything else, I don’t think really he was ready to die, and I certainly don’t think he was ready to accept he was going to die a murderer (by his own admission he didn’t want to do it he didn’t want to be the bad guy) and so the apology was more for himself that anyone else
2. It was not a sympathetic dream ending, Tommy knew that the only way he could be sure he was going to keep dreams attention long enough was to make it about himself, to try and understand dream long enough for Tubbo to set the nukes, he’s smart, and he knew just fighting dream would do nothing so he had to find another way to distract him
3. Tubbo did in-fact make it to the main cell where Tommy dream and Punz were, he couldn’t get through the cobble wall Tommy had built but it didn’t matter, Tommy knew he was there and he knew Tommy was there and they would be together till the end of the earth, and that was enough
4. The ending we saw with dream Tommy and Tubbo in a new land is not the same characters as the ones that died, there will be no “slowly remembering past experiences” trope in season 2 (if there actually is a season 2) it will be entirely separate unrelated characters to allow the cc’s to tell stories they couldn’t previously due to character restrictions
5. Tommy does in fact have an afterlife (not the new server start we saw) he was greeted by mumza and led to a snowy cabin not too dissimilar to the one he stayed in with techno, together they wait for techno, Phil and Wilbur to join them (the nuke hit the prison first hence why Tommy is there first, Wilbur joins last coincidentally tripping on a rock outside the gas station he works in, hitting his head and fucking dying) They spend the rest of their life (death) just getting to be the family they never got to be before
They’re only minor changes really, but as far as I’m concerned these are canon - it’s the only way I could feasibly see a functional season 2 working, having the characters slowly remember and be the same as season 1 would just be beating a dead horse, I really think this server reset serves to allow them to bring in entirely new characters, and it would be pointless if actually it ended up being a “amnesiacs remember over the course of events” thing because it would undermine all the story telling that was carried out in season 1 and characters might feel forced to fall back into the role they played in season 1
Was it a little rushed? Sure! Are there things to critique about the way certain characters were portrayed? Definitely! But saying things like “no lore has been good since Wilbur and techno stopped writing” or “we agree Wilbur was the only good writer” feels a total discredit to all the other amazing writers that likely wanted to do much more with their character but couldn’t due to communication issues! To say there have been no good storylines since Wilbur and techno feels disingenuous - it completely ignores all the other amazing storylines, bad, skeppy, Hannah, puffy, erect, all of las nevadas, foolish? They’re all amazing stories that didn’t do as well as other lore in part because of situational changes and in part due to lack of communication between cc’s!

for the spider-niki au, I think it’d be interesting if Tommy was the first one to find out she was Spider-Women
HOW INTERESTING YOU SAY THIS ANON.............when i started thinking about identity reveals tommy Was in fact the first one (kind of.)
concept i had was that after niki starts hitting some rough times (post breakup......) tommy sees this and in a well-meaning but extremely misguided attempt to make her feel better about something, lets her in on a little secret - wilbur's alive! he just faked his death. he's okay, actually. through a series of mishaps and missing your brother, tommy found out a little while after it happened. but niki and wilbur were such good friends, and he knows niki is still really sad about wilbur's death, so he'll tell her.
niki already knew this actually because she (in alter ego form) recognised wilbur in a run-in with some villains, wilbur's new identity included. and she is so fucking mad that tommy knew, for months, and he didn't fucking say anything. (and that wilbur actually bothered to tell him. were the rest of them acceptable targets to hurt?)
and niki lashes out at tommy and like. really fuckin hurts him. for some reason my brain keeps going "she pushes him off a roof" which a. is not really a nuke-adjacent activity and b. why would they be on a roof?? but like that vibe. no superpowers, none of that. just niki. it hits her a second later but it's too late - tommy is genuinely badly injured and niki has to slip into her vigilante form to attract help. tommy sees it happen, and he's this internal mess of angry-guilty-betrayed-regretful but he keeps her secret.
i'm not sure if tommy would be the first (i was trying to suss out a timeline....i'm not sure if wilbur finds out before this and it's just more gasoline into the swill of niki's mental state at the time, because she is so pissed off and unable to channel that feeling anywhere when it happens) but he is for sure the first "civilian" who finds out.

Hey I've been observing from afar through your reaction blogging, I haven't been in mcyt as much since the dsmp ended but I still care about a lot of the people in the mcyt circle and I'm interested in what goes on - care to give a rundown of what happened at this twitch rivals thing everyone keeps talking about? (no pressure only if you want to) Aside from the fact I'm sure it was terribly run like most twitch rival events are, but it sounds like there was more to it than that
okay so. i am going to be missing quite a few details because i missed a day myself + my streamer could not care less, so i heavily encourage others to add on stuff i missed
this was a multi-day competition, running for 5 days with prize rewards from 1k to 100k. it started with i think 150 players, with select numbers of people getting eliminated each round. day 1-2 are fairly normal, at least for twitch rivals. of all the games that got played through the whole event, i'd say like 1 was actually good, and maybe 2 were decent, at best. most are bad, poorly-executed, poorly thought out, or just boring in terms of both player enjoy-ability and content creation.
DAY 3 EDIT:
Tumblr media
now, sapnap's been sapnap for this entire event already. obnoxious, a bad sport, but most notably, playing DMCA'd songs. the event ran on proximity chat, so while he was unmuted, everyone around him would also be subject to said songs, which could mute vods at worst and terminate accounts at best. most people are fed up with him at this point. while everyone's trying to come up with solutions for the glitch, sapnap spams the discord with useless shit. couriway calls him out in the discord, calling him annoying and obnoxious, then later calling him a cunt in twitch chat. sapnap uses couriway and feinberg's name in his stream title for clickbait and talks shit about them + their friends (hbg/house builder gang). he also makes some weird comment asking if couri is homophobic because sap was talking about having skeppy's dick in his mouth?? or something?? i'm unsure exactly how day 3's issue of the glitch resolved.
day 4 is also your average experience with your usual range of average to horribly painful games. sapnap continues to be a bitch and not take responsibility for his stans attacking anyone in sight, but what else is new
day 5 is. bad. the game set for deciding the final competitors can be cheesed (if you let someone else do all the work, you can punch them in the last second and steal their win) and eliminates like 20 people at once. on top of that, a glitch happens that leaves the server on standby for at least 30 minutes while admins decide what to do. firebreathman sends a picture of a bare naked ass in the discord. someone else sends a photo of their debit card. streamers entertain themselves in various ways, including growing a cactus (fulham), playing osu (purpled), collecting other people's streams for their overlay (fruitberries), playing slime rancher (badboyhalo), and building real-life furniture (couriway). tubbo (who was already eliminated at this point) starts jumping between streams and asking in chat for the tea. the game is eventually replayed, deciding the final 4 players, but it's just as broken and at that point, no one wants to be there anymore. it's revealed through multiple streamers (purpled, i believe also feinberg) that twitch rivals games are not tested before being ran. the only testing done was a stress test to see if the server could handle all original 150-some players. this explains why the games are so bad and poorly organized (some games take over an hour, others barely 30 minutes).
the final four are sapnap, shadoune, sneegsnag, and i think feinberg. it's the most anticlimatic game of connect 4 you can imagine. sneeg eliminates sapnap, and shadoune eliminates fein. notably, fein's game glitches during a throw, which despite being obviously a glitch, the coordinators brush off as being "part of the game". fein and multiple other streamers spend time analyzing every pov frame by frame and all agree that yeah, that was a glitch. shadoune and sneeg are left for the finals. they come to an agreement that this is stupid and a horrible event. tired of this bullshit, they purposefully stall the games and run a podcast for approximately 2 hours, forcing the coordinators to bend to their commands hunger games-style. essentially since the first glitch of the day people were begging twitch to just split the money, something that wouldn't be easy according to tubbo, because everything is pre-signed and delegated before the event. sneeg and shadoune give no fucks, and force the coordinators to split the money anyway, winning the day through the power of friendship. i cannot stress enough how no one wanted to fucking be there by the end of all this.
