While you CAN do the Luminkolls again, I think it'd be neat to have puzzles and stuff that aren't available during the day. And if you can't use Glow Pikmin, you could bring back Bulbmin and have different varieties that can help you out an night.

A positive emotional atmophere is essential for his sense of well being and inner peace, and he either tries to promote it himself by directly influencing it around him, or by simply moving away from the environment or the people causing a negative emotional environment in his view.

For the SEI, this takes an on-the-spot aspect and is reflected in cracking jokes, trying to make people laugh, or simply moving away from people he perceives as affecting him negatively. For the IEI, this takes a longer-term perspective; so the focus, rather than being on the immediate emotional environment, is on the perceived longer-term emotional state of others towards the individual, and is reflected in trying to be on good terms with those he interacts with or seeking distance or protection from, or “preventively” attacking, those he sees as irremediably hostile emotionally.

Fe as a role (3rd) function (LIE and LSE)

The individual makes an effort to adapt to the prevailing emotional atmosphere, especially in group situations, and tries to promote a positive emotional environment, as in making positive or witty remarks, in the presence of individuals he is already somewhat acquainted with and appreciates. Such efforts, however, are normally low-key and of short duration; it is difficult for him to display emotions more complex or intense than enthusiasm. He is essentially unable to participate in a group atmosphere where intense emotional expression as in loud laughing and mutual jokes are prevailing. The individual makes an effort to be aware of the need not to disrupt the prevailing emotional atmosphere but he does not succeed for any length of time if that would clash with his inner emotional state and private feelings about the other persons present. Fe as a vulnerable (4th) function (ILI and SLI)

The individual tries hard to never let himself “come apart at the seams” emotionally or even let out strong feelings publicly, because displays of passion do not come naturally and make him feel self-consciousness and vulnerable to painful criticism. This makes the individual generally seem emotionally neutral and politely indifferent to excitement and agitation around him. The individual deeply dislikes attempts by others to get him to “cheer up” or “join the fun”, especially in the context of group activities with loud emotional expression.

Fe as a suggestive (5th) function (LII and LSI)

The individual often becomes engrossed in serious work, which leads him to neglect his complementary need for fun and emotional release. He also feels vulnerable expressing himself spontaneously in public, which allows bad emotions and stress to build up, leading to depression or sudden hostility. He enjoys being around people who make him feel comfortable expressing himself, and who can make every day new and exciting.

Although he may present a hard exterior in the company of strangers, he is likely to not be serious at all with people who know him better. His behavior changes radically - a calm and serious structured person will suddenly become jovial and warm.

Fe as a mobilizing (6th) function (ILE and SLE)

The individual longs for situations where people are having fun, laughing and joking, and feel emotionally free and spontaneous. However, he is generally unable to produce this atmosphere himself and uses other means to create situations where there is a good chance that others will take the emotional initiative and create a fun and emotionally stimulating atmosphere. Failure at such attempts are met with dismay, which the individual either hides or reacts to with frustration and annoyance.

Fe as an ignoring (7th) function (ESI and EII)

The individual is perfectly able to integrate in a group emotional situations, such as people having fun and trading jokes, and sustain that for a long period of time. He is also usually adept at promoting such an atmosphere himself. However, he sees no point in doing so if his own inner emotional state does not prompt him towards that, especially if he does not feel as having positive private feelings towards the other people involved. He is aware of the need to keep a “polite façade” in certain social situations even in the presence of people he personally dislikes or during periods of negative inner emotions, but he refuses to actively attempt to integrate in, or promote, a positive external emotional atmosphere in such occasions. His disinclination for doing so increases along with his feelings of closeness with the individuals present.

Fe as a demonstrative (8th) function (SEE and IEE)

The individual appreciates situations where people are enjoying a positive emotional atmosphere as in having fun and joking together, and is quite adept at creating them himself, but does not see creating or promoting them a top priority, nor does he actively look for people who maintain or need such an atmosphere; too high a focus on that is seen by the individual as overdone.

i think koko and inui had a lot of late night rides in the mabu tl, it happens whenever inui fixes his/a costumer’s bike and then invites koko to test it out and they end up riding together, maybe they’ll somehow manage to listen to some music

koko loves this moments since he finds them relaxing (and ofc he cherishes every moment w/ inui <3) and inui sometimes uses the opportunity to so something else with koko, such as eating something or taking him to a place with a beautiful view of tokyo to hang out and cuddle for a while

they do it most of the times they test out inui's/a costumer's bike, beacuse..well, is pretty useful and the enjoy it sm...the dreamy atmophere makes this moments feel soft and peaceful, just the two of them, together

Mass Effect 2 replay, exploring the Crescent Nebula:

Normandy

-Miranda says that Niket was safe and comfortable. He didn’t want anything from Miranda. He was a good friend.

Quite a high compliment from a woman raised by a demanding father and who works for Cerberus. Miranda’s father used everyone and everything against her, but he couldn’t use Niket (until he could). Niket was safe.

And Jacob is evidence of the norms in Ceberus; he’s leery of everyone because everyone in Cerberus is underhanded. But Niket wasn’t like that – until he turned on Miranda in part because she is like that. His feelings of betrayal that Miranda didn’t trust him definitely drove some of his actions.

It’s sad. Miranda tried to keep her Niket separate from the rest of her life, but that made the fallout worse when he did learn about it.

-It’s important for Miranda to make sure Oriana has what she did not. A normal life, the freedom to choose her future.

A bit ironic, since Oriana is her genetic twin: Miranda is making sure her other self gets the life she wanted for herself.

I’d say she’s living vicariously through Oriana, except she’s emphatically not. It’s crucial to Miranda that Oriana can be her own person without having to fight for it like she did.

-Miranda’s confident that her father can’t find Oriana.

And she’s right.. Up until Cerberus, presumably, tells him where Oriana is.

-The fog is used for great effect to limit visibility and spring ambushes on the pair. Also, despite the basic layout the fog makes it very easy to get lost.

-How does Miranda know the atmophere is toxic? And how the hell are her and Kasumi’s breathers qualified to protect them from it?

-The AI pathfinding for this level is terrible. I keep losing Miranda and Kasumi.

Considering that the Blood Pack consider the Vorcha getting lost in the fog to be a sign of low intelligence, Bioware kind of insulted themselves there.

-The Blood Pack are using vorcha as miners because vorcha can adapt to the atmosphere, aren’t they?

It sucks to be a vorcha in mass effect.

-It’s nice to see some wildlife for once. I miss the ME1 space cows.

-So fun enough mission, but why is Shepard here? Just to fuck with the Blood Pack?

Yes, I disabled a communications relay, but why did Shepard feel it was worth landing to find the communications relay and disable it? Why does Shepard care about the Blood Pack? They’re just one more mercenary band among many.

Normandy

-It’s implied Liara gave Oriana Shepard’s email.

-Miranda told Oriana she’s working for Shepard, not Cerberus.

That could be because Cerberus has a poor reputation, so Miranda doesn’t advertise that fact in general. See Niket.

It could also be a sign of her loyalty to Cerberus starting to waiver.

-Although when you speak to Miranda she immediately starts by saying that she wishes Cerberus had recruited Shepard earlier.

At least she acknowledges that too many that join are just xenophobic.

I suppose we’re retconning that ME1 Shepard can be highly xenophobic.

-You can go renegade and agree, but it doesn’t fit the conversation well. Your next options regardless of what you pick are to ask about Jack and the ME1 experiments.

-Her arguments for the experiments aren’t bad: Husks are already dead, thorian creepers are mindless, the rachni were abandoned once Cerberus learned they’re intellgient.

She’s unaware or ignoring the implications:

How did Cerberus get a hold of husks? It’s strongly implied in ME1 that they created husks.

Cerberus scooped up the thorian creepers and ignored the colony Exo-Geni was using as an experiment. Quite likely because interfering with it could possibly lead to the thorian creepers becoming unusable, which is exactly what happened.

The rachni were abandoned because they outsmarted their Cerberus handlers and killed them all.

-Miranda also acknowledges that Jack was a mistake. Good. She insists that the experiments were shut down as soon as their extent was found (hah).

So we’re just ignoring that Cerberus permitted them to happen in the first place…?

Miranda loves the freedom Cerberus gives her and praises how it lets her get shit done, but ignores the other heinous bad practices that it enables.

-She’s definitely a tad jealous that Shepard has TIM’s personal attention. Replacement father figure much?

-She references Shepard’s origins! A rare occurrence in ME2.

-Miranda believes that Shepard can take credit for their skills, but Miranda can only take credit for her mistakes. Her successes are because of her genes.

Which is bullshit. Whatever talents she may have been born with, she developed and chose to apply them. Yes she had a bit of a hard start, but her results are real.

-The big takeaway is that Miranda envies Shepard a bit because Shepard is real. She only views herself as artificial.

And that’s a damn shame. However she was born, she’s here now.

Her, Grunt, and the geth should start a support group.

Zelene

-Galeon – It’s implied the moon or moons were destroyed in a past cycle and their remains create the outer rings. It had been mined by a prior cycle.

-Epho – There are remains of a magnetic levitation rail line. The surface is cratered from hyper velocity kinetic impacts.

-Helyme – And this is the homeworld of the Arthenn, which disappeared about 300,000 years ago. They were probably killed by a biological weapon. Landing is forbidden as a result.

Given this is in the Terminus Systems, who has forbidden landing? Not stated.

Reapers are the obvious potential cause of the prior three destruction events, but there’s no proof. Could have been another species with a beef with the Arthenn.

-Despite landing being forbidden, Eldfell-Ashland Energy has an active mining facility.

Perhaps they too decided that no one could order them around in the Terminus Systems.

-Except the Eclipse are here and as we all know the Eclipse shoot to kill. So in comes Shepard – too late to perform a rescue, but hopefully revenge is an acceptable substitute.

-Another Earth like planet. I miss the ME1 skyboxes.

-An enjoyable enough shooting gallery, but nothing particularly notable.

Ok so i returned from my trip from Paris and It was so Amazing a romantic and i would love in the future as an Honey Moon for my and my gf bee, but One Place that was truly beautiful was Versaille, but most off all, a part where there was a lot of the garden, and One specific part called the Temple of love, It was simile put the atmophere around It was so preatty, with the Little stream, the nice green grasso, and the beautyfull flowers around It was trully mesmorazing and tò kiss my gf under the Temple would be the best thing ever and a Dream come true

It was Bakker's first season abroad, so she had to get used to a new country, (football)culture and league. And the team had to get used to Bakker. Aside from that N*dim played like absolute shit anyways, so she won't be missed at Milan. It says a lot when the results and atmophere changed as soon as she left.

I was thinking recently about adaptations and what is generally their raison d'etre (serendipitously, I recently watched a really good vid by Jack Saint about the subject, which makes the compelling case that elevating The Adaptation as a cultural product kind of sidelines the fact that all art has an iterative character)

Specifically, I was thinking about the Netflix ASOUE series and my feelings about it years later. I think the series is pretty challenging to adapt in a way that is faithful to the tone of the original not just because of the strong narrative voice (which is itself very anchored in the idea of the books as furtively written "documents") or because the entire world has a strange, surreal "placeless" atmophere, but because the whole story is relayed through this very "blinkered" experience of the Baudelaire children and the reclusive weirdo who decided to investigate them, in a way that really comes to roost thematically in the last couple of books; the point is not to solve all the mysteries (subtweeting my teen self a bit here) but that the world is more vast and interlinked and variegated than it looks at first glance, and finding yourself in this vast, spiderless web of history and geography and the myriad tragedies and triumphs of people can feel very vertiginous and overwhelming but also liberating in a way (at least that's what I get from it)

But the thing is: is there a point in re-iterating that particular thematic throughline in a different medium when the original text already exists? Even if I'm not one of these people who wants everything to be a 1:1 adaptation in terms of Fictional Stuff Happening, haven't I just moved sideways if I want thematic fidelity?
