Ok @lainit this #atticnotebook exercise is the perfect way to jumpstart daily creativity! 15-20 minutes of free writing that you do everyday but never look back at until some time later (I already forget... a year?) It also gives me a chance to use my pretty dollar store notebooks 👍🤓🦋 I’m going to adapt it and add in one #watercolor pen drawing per session. What’s this? The first post in literally a year? Yeah, I know, absurd. Who do I think I am? . Well, it’s national cat day, and it’s almost the end of October. I’ve been writing along with @manierenoireshop ‘s inktober prompt list to get back into my attic notebook. I ended up stringing the prompts together in a mess of a short story that doesn’t have an ending, but I’ve had a lot of fun so far. 😂 Astoreth may or may not have been inspiration for both “Black Cat” and “Fantastical Animal”. Will this turn into some trash fire nanowrimo project? Probably not but who knows—it’s got old, terrifying fairies, witches, and monsters, so there might be something there. . The marvelous @lainit posted about starting a writing journal called #atticnotebook where you write in a notebook for a set amount of time each day and here's the hard part - you don't read it back. Not until you are done! Then when you go back and rediscover it, it's like finding an old notebook in an attic. I'm excited.
