More random headcanons that don't matter but kinda do: -Sinclair legally adopted Jack, Eleanor, and Kyle for tax write offs -Kyle was homeschooled, up until his father took him to Rapture -Down the hill there is this one neighbor that is super suspicious of Sinclair but not Jack who literally has glowing yellow eyes 😭 -Silas got arrested for resisting arrest with violence and assault, Sinclair bailed him out but now he has a court date 😕 -Alexander is super paranoid that his family will track him down like Silas' mother found Silas. He does NOT want to see them, any of them. They are part of the reason he went to Rapture in the first place. Sadly, his family has found his info and whereabouts, and are on their way, send Gil thoughts and prayers cause he's not gonna be mentally well. 😬 -Eleanor does arts and crafts with Martin, the things she creates are a little wonky but Martin keeps all of them on his trinket shelf -Hector taught Eleanor and Jack swears in spanish, he got yelled at by Sinclair -The house is a multi language house hold. The languages that are spoken are Spanish, Korean, German, French, English, and Italian I'LL THINK OF MORE LATER Anyways anyways, NEXT QUESTION "Do the children have nicknames for the adults?" Yes. Jack can't say most of their names but Suchong is Papa, Tenenbaum is Mama (she hates it but is warming up to it). Jack heard Sinclair call Gilbert, Guppy, once and he will NOT STOP CALLING GIL THAT. Like they've tried to get him to stop, albeit he can only say it like "Gubby" (he can't say his P's that well yet) but still. He does stop when he's older. Sinclair is Poppy Auggie or just Poppy. Eleanor is Ellie. Kyle is Ky and Ky-ky, Silas is Sy (pronounced Psy) , Martin is Mari (pronounced Mar-ee), and Hector is fucking Tío (he taught him to say it). Some of these nicknames change after he grows up. Eleanor after a while she started calling Gilbert dad, the first time she called him dad, he sobbed for an hour. Sinclair is Papa Augustus/August. Suchong and Tenenbaum are Uncle and Aunt. Jack is well Jack. And the other 4, she just calls them by their first names. When Silas' mom finds him, Jack calls her Gigi (pronounced Gee-Gee) and Eleanor calls her Grandma Cobb. I will add to this post if need be with reblogs but that's it for now. Avantgarden. Avantgarden, sometimes referred to as 'Garden' and often confused for New Eden's Garden, is an american-australian heavy metal band from Hope County, Montana signed to Cobweb Records. Best known for its horror-inspired songs, they were formed many years ago by highschool friends August Seed, Damian Albain, and Salem Blair. Seed is currently the only remaining member, however.

Their genres are most akin to metalcore, post hardcore, melodic harcore, heavy metal, symphonic metal, and even goth or EBM at times. They have been through at least three different recording labels but have been signed to Cobweb Records for the longest. There are many past members but the current members include:

August Seed [Spencer] - Lead vocals, keyboard, and guitar when needed. Dating Nova, unrelated to the band.

"So why exactly are you here again?" August grunts, raising Ashe aloft by your hips for her to reach the top half of the bookshelf. "You said this wouldn't take all day."

"It will if you don't hold on a little longer." She stage whispers. "I've almost got it."

Rumor has it an old copy of the Draycott's archives was stored in the school's library in case someone steals the real one from the town hall building. But no one's been able to find it since Principal Doushaw had it removed for a while until he put it back in hiding.

Ashe sticks her tongue out to focus extending her arm in the direction of the book's location. She pulls out the copy, it was littered with dust and its paper reeked with age.

"I got it you can put me down now."

August lowers her, him peering over her. The heavy book rests in her hands, with tanned pages, and some pages are torn. Ashe flips through, but her face sours.

"The fuck? It's gone? It should be right here..."

"What should be right here?" August is thrown off by her response and held the back cover in his hand. The page Ashe was looking for was replaced with a folded over square of paper. He slowly rips it from the page, opening it to reveal its words.

"Excuse me young lady what do you think you are doing?" The librarian scowls.

Ashe withholds the book behind her back.

"It's not what it-"

Turns out she was talking to some other girl. She exhales in relief.

She opens it again taking the note and shoving it in her pocket. There had to be more but they ran out of time as the lunch bell rings.

"We'll come back later Auggie, you still have to treat me to lunch remember?"

He sucks his teeth side-eyeing her.

Slinging her bag on her shoulders, she pokes his cheek smugly smiling while walking ahead.

"How's about Chick Fil A?

Facing the window at the back of the classroom, Ashe laid her head on her folded arms as she tried napping before her AP French class started. Even so, her eyes shot open when the door was slammed open.

'You've gotta be fuckin kiddin' ' She thought annoyed, her head still on her arms.

The person's footsteps stopped right in front of her desk, its chair moving for them to take a seat. They haven't spoken.

In the glass's reflection, their big doe eyes were adorably glazed in nervousness. They gulped down the lump in their throat to calm themself. Softly tapping her desk, she slowly lifted her head a bit.

"Hello to you too Ryver." She yawns.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?" Propping her hand up, her chin resting in her palm.

His hand flinched back.

"H-hey Ashe. Sorry about the door. I asked Sinclair where you were so I could check in on you. You didn't come yesterday. I wanted to know if you were alright."

She senses his unease, shaking her head to reassure him. "It's okay Ryver I understand. You're not the only one who was but I appreciate it."

Ryver nods, shifting his glances around the empty room and playing with his hair. His bunny-Esque teeth peek out from his plump lips as he flashed her a smile. Was he this much of a nervous wreck when they met before?

"It's just been a long day. Nothing a quick nap can't fix." Ashe lays her head back down. "Wake me when the teacher shows up 'kay?"

He was about to reply when without warning both their phone's notifications go off. Gasps are heard outside the classroom.

To her horror, it was a video of the masked stalker from the pep rally. The video was glitching like a VHS tape but the audio was clear.

"Greetings Draycott High. It seems we haven't met. But one of you has..."

Their voice is gruff as they continue.

"Don't worry kitten your time will come but for now there's the queen who must be dethroned."

Ashe's chest tightened rising from her seat.

"The prince is valuable so he too will be spared. If you found my note, you should take another look at it. You'll miss your first clue little kitten."

Crumbled in her pocket she pulls out the note, Ryver freezes and stares.

"There are many things that aren't as they seem to children. So many realities will come crashing down because the truth is too heavy of a burden to bear. Do you have what it takes to stop it?"

The masked figure pauses. Their face was hidden by a red demonic skull.

"Here's your chance to prove yourself. Shine a light on five eyes to truly see. I wish you luck."

Following their statement, the video abruptly cuts. Highly strung Ryver fixes his gaze on Ashe's crinkled nose and creased brows as she stands upright from her chair. She makes off with the note not looking back.

"Ashe wait!" Ryver calls keeping chase.

Her Converses screeching against the tiled hallway en route towards the bathroom she's stopped. Crashing into the chest of another their arms wrapped around her so she wouldn't fall back from the impact.

"Woah Woah, Ashe?- " August held her meeting her eyes. They were tearing.

He slowly took her hands, them shaking violently. "It's okay, take deep breaths for me, focus on your breathing. Focus on my voice."

Ryver halted behind a wall, his heart beating in his ears. There has to be something he can do. What could he do?

He peeks around the wall but she and him were gone.

Brisk air filled the infirmary as they rest on one of the beds. Her knees are pulled into her chest in the fetal position, August laying behind her. His hands were at her waist and her back flush against his chest. His chin atop her head as he looks out the window.

Nurse Maisie stepped out to bring them snacks, more so to give them privacy. He hated seeing her like this but he knows he's her anchor and wouldn't change her for the world. Ashe's sleeping figure turned over, nuzzling closer into his neck. The breathing exercises he learned calmed her down, in time lulling her to sleep.

He's been there through every one of her attacks though it dosen't get any easier seeing her moisten cheeks. He cradles the back of her head, kissing her forhead when Ashe's phone vibrates.

Her and the girl's group chat notification lit up.

After school, Ashe was driven home during the carpool however August decided to stay the night with her. The corner meximart was open so they bought a two-liter bottle of soda and ice cream for their pizza dinner Ashe's mom ordered via Doordash. She wasn't home again, something about the autopsy taking longer than expected. As for what'll happen with the video, digital forensics is looking into it.

That gave her somewhat peace of mind.

Locking the doors and windows, they got comfortable. Pajamas from August's previous sleepovers were laid out on Ashe's bed as she waited for him after his shower. Shaking down her underwear drawer for a pair, an envelope wrapped in her boyshorts hits the carpet. Its contents spill out, she kneeled lifting them.

A gold chain necklace laced her fingers as she lifted it, an engraved ring hanging from it. Dated polaroid photos with a dried rose and a handwritten letter rest in her hands. She shook her head giving a rueful half-smile.

'Why'd you have to leave...' She thought.

"Ashe where are the toothbrushes?"

Frantically she shoves the items back in the drawer shutting it.

"They're under the sink Auggie."

Ding went the doorbell downstairs. She had her knife concealed in her hoodie sleeve while walking downstairs. Through the peephole, the pizza guy stood with their extra-large cheese pie. She unlocks the door, her breathing slightly staggering.

Swinging it open, she greets him taking the box from his hands and wishing him a good night. Ashe set the box on the kitchen counter. On her tippy toes, she reaches for the ceramic plates when one slips from her fingertips. August catches the plate with his free hand keeping the other on her hip.

"Nice Spidey Sense Carrot Top."

His chin leaned on the top of her shoulder pulling her closer. Dampened orange curls stuck to his forehead and his tired sweet hue of spring clovers meet her polished amber gaze.

"You're welcome, Mary Jane."

He whispers caressing her silken skin underneath her tank top.

Unperceived, her phone sat on her bed upstairs vibrating. Her call log was filled with multiples missed from one contact.

Introduction:  August was a legacy - or at least he was supposed to be. His father, and his father before him, run one of the most successful law firms in all of New York. Ever since his childhood, everything was all lined up for the Geiger brothers to join the ranks, but honestly… August was never really that interested in following the herd. There had to be more to life than heavy case files and long hours in a boring office. It wasn’t that he was lazy, he just wanted glitz and glamour rather than a prison cell of an office.The problem was that there was no way to simply decline his father’s wishes.  He had to find another way, and he did. Throughout his last few years of high school, he did everything in his power to sabotage his chances of becoming a lawyer. His grades in most classes were suffering and he got himself into trouble on a regular basis, all in the name of banishment from the family business. It worked. When the time came for him to go to college, both of his parents had virtually given up and admitted that August would do whatever he wanted to do. What he wanted was to be among the stars. He spent all his time at parties, but now it was all in the name of networking. His family’s connections to socialites and executives all over the city were a great help, but August made a point of doing it the honest way... mostly, anyway. He spent years as a simple assistant, getting to know the industry intimately through all of his errands. It wasn’t a good job, but it taught him valuable lessons. Of course, had still had to bribe a few people to get his name out there in the entertainment industry. His first TV gig was secured in exchange for quite a hefty bit of cash, but he got there - and without asking people if they knew who his father was. August is now one of those people that you have to know. Using every possible method to advance his own career, he’s learned to navigate the industry as a true professional - and one with actual influence. He relishes in the power and the knowledge that he can either make or break anyone who comes to him for help. He jokingly compares himself to The Godfather, but at the end of the day it’s not all that far from the truth.

Even when it’s as cold as today. “This is Jax. He’s our babysitter, even though we do not need one. Daddy Lucifer felt bad for him after he lost his job.
