Here’s a random assortment of drawings I did

So first I drew an older Lucy/Abbigail, because in some of my previous scenarios where she’s involved (and she and her father reunite) she’s supposed to be older, so I just tried my hand at that

Next I decided to draw Des (yes that’s supposed to be him; not sure I’ve explained but basically after AL he fakes Sycamore’s death and so he’s changed his appearance to hide his identity) with a small Aurea, mostly because I remembered she existed again

I think I’m getting better at drawing child proportions next to adults

Then I drew Rachel and Des hugging, because I think it would be nice to see them reunite. Granted I don’t know what circumstances would allow this, Des finally dying, resurrection Azran magic bringing Rachel back from the dead, just a dream, whatever you decide, I just want it to happen. I imagine that unlike his father, whom he has at best mixed/complicated feelings towards, Des does genuinely miss his mother and would want to see her again. And I feel like Rachel would try to comfort her son after everything he’s been through

To be honest, I kind of wanted to stop drawing there, but I still had half a page empty, so I did more

Next, something I thought up some time ago, so I said that Aurea becomes an Interpol agent, though to be honest I might end up changing that. I think I really only gave her that occupation because it was ironic given that Des was a criminal? And I’m not sure that’s the profession that a reincarnated Aurora should have. Also, both of Layton’s kids already solve crimes, I don’t think we need another one. But anyways going back to this, I remembered that Hilda was part of Interpol, and that given Aurea’s likely age at the time of LBMR/LMJ, if she were a member she likely wouldn’t be very experienced yet, so why not have Hilda essentially work as Aurea’s mentor? In this scene Aurea’s supposed to be bringing coffee, though it looks more like she’s inspecting one of them to me. Ah well, whichever interpretation you like more

I like to imagine Hilda comes over to the Mystery Room and is like, “look Al, I got my own Lucy now”

And then finally I drew original Aurora, mostly because I needed to fill the empty space, and also because I don’t think I’ve drawn her before

Thinking about how like... across the games, manga, and anime, there are... 11 characters with both a first and last name.

Ash Ketchum, Gary Oak, Samuel Oak, Tracey Sketchit, Daisy Oak, Steven Stone, Platinum Berlitz, Aurea Juniper, Cedric Juniper, Augustine Sycamore, and Samson Oak.

Tbh I'm surprised we have that many given the fact every other character is just like "yo I'm Misty of the Cerulean City Gym!" Or like "I'm May from Petalburg!!" So like... how did these guys get last names??? Or first names in case of the professors?

"Back in college? I was very much the same- still a gremlin, as Turo would say. But, during that time, Turo and I befriended Juniper, Sycamore, Lysandre, and Kukui. When I say that Juniper was the only one to not get into too much trouble, I mean it. She might have been a backpacker, but Aurea was the least adventurous when it came to chaos. Lysandre was a bit reserved, but once he and Augustine started, he would just keep going! And Kukui! I think he won the most battles in our group!"

Some Professor Headcanons

Because he’s a well-known public figure, there are a lot of strange rumors about Professor Oak. These include that he goes out in disguise and battles newbie trainers to scare them; that he actually has an army of legendary Pokémon hidden in his lab and is biding his time before taking over Kanto; and that he’s just a figurehead, and all his actual discoveries were made by a single mother living in Pallet Town. For the most part, Oak finds these rumors amusing, and says that if people really think that, they should come and study him to learn the truth.

After being attacked by wild Pokémon one too many times in the field, Professor Birch’s very exasperated kid has given him some pointers in Pokémon battling to defend himself. He’s not that bad at battling, but he tends to get sidetracked while taking notes on the Pokémon attacking him.

Professor Rowan has taken up baking as a way to de-stress, as well as to feed his own sweet tooth. This has led to some awkward moments of a research assistant tracking him down after work hours to talk about something that just came in and finding him wearing an apron embroidered with Budew holding a tray of cookies…and looking as stern as always.

Both Professor Juniper and Professor Sycamore have studied under Professor Magnolia. Both are terrified of her. Both refuse to explain why, though Magnolia, while admitting she was strict with them, claims they’re just playing it up as an inside joke.

Professor Willow is in regular contact with most of the other professors, especially those in regions with active Pokédex surveys. However, he’s developed a reputation in the research community for calling at very odd hours, especially since he’s constantly changing time zones throughout his travels.

Professor Rowan introduced the two, and the rest was history.

They both “jokingly” flirted with each other before they became official.

But there was always a little bit of truth behind every ‘mon amour’ and every flirtatious quip.

Juniper was over the moon when Sycamore confessed.

They became super fluffy once they got together, like high school sweethearts.

Most of the other professors find their relationship really sweet.

Every time Juniper says, “Je t’aime,” instead of, “I love you,” Sycamore gets this warm, fuzzy feeling in his chest.

I think that Sycamore feels really guilty about trusting Lysandre. He probably blames himself because he thinks, in hindsight, it was so obvious he was up to no good.

However, Juniper is always there to reassure him that it’s in no way his fault. Nothing is ever the victim’s fault.

Sycamore treats Juniper like a queen, he truly would do anything for her.

Juniper adores the attention, and she makes sure to return every last bit of affection her beloved gives her.

It wasn’t that LONG ago that Professor Aurea Juniper was contacted by the sweetest little girl who had asked the Professor for help. Bonnie had asked her to help her older brother to get a Joltik as he had REALLY liked the Pokemon but they weren’t native to Kalos. So Professor Juniper got in contact with Nurse Joy. Searching through the records of the Pokemon who were released by their trainers and given up for a new home - there was indeed a Joltik in the files. Professor Juniper took the little one in for three weeks. She wanted to make sure the little bug and electric type was ready for rehoming. Once she felt it was a good candidate (and after talking with her colleague Augustine Sycamore - who informed her that Clemont, the older brother, was the electric type Gym Leader in Kalos - was a perfect candidate for rehoming.) she sent the Pokemon through an cross-region trade machine that she had created - and the little Pokemon awaited in the Lumiose Pokemon Center wiating for Clemont to pick it up.

The pictures at the top left were me just trying to figure out what hair to give her

The colored ones are supposed to be her as a child, teenager, and adult respectively. Personally I feel like I should have incorporated more bows into her design, but I didn’t realize that until I was mostly done. The hair for her adult design bugged me, but I think it’s because I didn’t put her ears. Also, that jacket adult Aurea has might look a little familiar…

The sketches were just me trying to draw some scenes with her and her dad. The rightmost one was supposed to be that first week of them living together.

The backstory for Des getting Aurea is supposed to be that he was investigating something (this would have been the same day Bill Hawks went missing in UF btw) but the building exploding and him getting knocked unconscious from the blast. He wakes up due to the noise of an infant crying, and after climbing out of the wreckage finding a baby Aurea crying in the next room over, and her mother dead under some other wreckage. On instinct he takes her and gets them out of the building before it collapses. He’s able to make it to Raymond, but he still had a ceiling fall on him, so he’s put on bed rest for a while, which is where he was during UF. Raymond decides to leave him in charge of the baby he brought with him while he goes out for supplies, and Des quickly grows attached to her, and eventually he decides to adopt her

Later in life, I’m thinking that Aurea becomes a member of Interpol (I thought it was ironic considering Des is probably wanted by them)
