Hey, friend! That's such a sweet compliment- thank you so much! To answer your question, non rp blogs are welcome to follow! I love any activity and, while this is a rp blog, as you mentioned I also do a lot of analyses, appreciation, and answer questions ooc about TLM's creation/franchise at large, so this is a forum for all fans! I was thinking about creating a Discord group a while back, actually, and still might if there's interest! Also, activity, of any sort, actually helps my muse and keep this blog going. Sometimes it does feel a little lonely, so having friends to come to on here would help me and the longevity of this mermaid garden more than you know! The only interaction I shy away from is that of duplicates, because I don't want either of us- intentionally or unintentionally- to have our muse informed of the other (I'm open to talking ooc though with other Ariel muns!) and generally people who commit creative larceny and steal my content, viewpoints, or thoughts, as has often happened. But again, anyone else is more than welcome!

“Not quite. See, sleep and death are twin brothers, and so my domain, the Underworld, shares a border with the Dream World. Normally, when mortals catch some zetas, their minds go to the Dream World until they rise and shine, but gals under a sleeping curse are different. See, the Dream World ain’t exactly built for long term residents, but the Underworld is exclusively for the dead and dearly departed. So, victims of a sleeping curse wind up somewhere in between, straddling that border for all eternity or until twue wuv’s kiss wakes ‘em up. We call that spot the Dream Netherworld. It’s... funky. That’s where Snow and Aurora wound up. Oh, and yes, Malef and I dish it out all the time. Trust me, I know the whole story.”

059. List several phrases your character is fond of uttering. Where did they pick them up?

I don’t have a ton of specific phrases that would be interesting to discuss, but there is something interesting to the way Hook speaks. In general, Hook has a very regal and eloquent way of speaking. He has a refined dialect unlike his fellow pirates, he’s known for using glittery words like “malfeasance,” and he has a gentlemanly demeanor that’s very polite and cordial even when he’s being threatening and dangerous. Ordinarily that would point to him attending some sort of formal schooling or being part of the aristocracy, but we know from his backstory that neither of those things are true. His father was a fugitive who abandoned him, and he's been a sailor all his life since then.

It’s no secret that Hook has a big ego and is a bit of a narcissist, so my personal headcanon for why he has such a refined way of speaking is that it’s intentional. He thinks of himself as better than the average pirate and wants to set himself apart from the companions he views as crude. So I think Hook imitated the dialect of the nobles he came across because he saw himself as sort of being a noble born into the wrong world. And I think in this regard, he also found that the better he could pass as a high society gentleman, the more doors he could open and the more profitable it would be for him.

062. What sort of legacy does your character wish to leave behind?

I think he’s certainly very proud of his legacy as Captain Hook, the most feared pirate on the seven seas. He’s definitely the sort who wants to be remembered for his many feats and accomplishments as a pirate, and of course, I think he’d also want to be remembered as the man who killed Rumplestiltskin (even though the legacy part is a secondary concern to vengeance for him). Oh and he definitely want to be remembered for his devastating good looks because of course he would XD

067. Does your character believe in fate or destiny?

To a certain extent yes, but I think he also very much believes in taking the helm and charting his own course. To him, just because fate and destiny exist doesn’t mean he can’t fight against them to get what he wants. He’s not the sort to let anything stop him, nor is he the sort to deflect responsivity or acquiesce to giving up power in that way.

is there any way you could've spared aurora after you put the curse on her, or is your power not great enough? in the live action, you can't call it off showing that your power is limited.

"That farce of a story that bares my name told more lies than truths. My power over my curse was absolute! That fool Merryweather's meddlesome interference was able to soften the spell. I, however, certainly could have removed the curse at any time, for nothing is truly beyond my abilities! However, I find myself far more offended by the insinuation that I would ever be so fickle as to change my mind once made regarding an act of such gravity."

the ‘i would adopt you’ would be fully in bold if she weren’t a teenager. pinocchio is like 8 and he can barely manage him, he thinks teenagers are way too big of a handful for him to deal with. however, he’s supportive and the idea is there in theory. in that same vein, ‘i’m scared of you’ is meant in jest. she’s stubborn and a little impulsive and that is a terrifying force to be reckoned with (he would know). i think a big thing for him is he unfortunately really, really relates to the ‘wanting to be human’ thing so There’s That
