Discussing elsewhere about how in the Earthspark universe, the idea that your kitchen appliances could be Decepticons in disguise is a thing. Maybe stating that a toaster is "guarantee not to be a Decepticon" in disguise is something advertised a lot in department stores, people are or at least used to be paranoid that their microwave was plotting to murder them.

I have had several scenarios for this and just had to randomly pick one because I wanted to write them all.

Moonstreaker was at Swerve’s talking to the bartender when the alarms sounded.

The alarm for an alien invasion.

As much as she wanted to stay with Swerve, she knew she was needed elsewhere on the ship.

Giving Swerve one last look and a reassuring smile, Moonstreaker ran out of the bar with a couple of bots behind her ready to go.

Getting used as hostage was something that she wasn’t too familiar with. Usually, she was the one who was doing the rescuing, not the other way around.

Even more embarrassing, she was tricked into coming on board the opposite ship after hearing cries for help, only to get knocked out with a pip to the helm.

The space pirates were now back on the ship and actively flying away from the Lost Light.

Moonstreaker glared at each one of the pirates as they spat and slapped her across the face.

The space captain walks in front of Moonstreaker and yanks her up by her chains.

The Bot can only glare at the captain.

“Aw, what’s with the glare little Autobot?”--Captain

She doesn’t respond.

“Fine, be that way. Soon we’ll be rolling in thousands of shanix after we get that transmission working. And, well, we’d defiantly get a lot more if you start pleading for your life.”--Captain

Moonstreaker spits some of the energon from her mouth into his face.

The captain throws her back into the ground and steps on her chassis.

Moonstreaker grunts at the sudden weight before getting kicked into some of the crewmate’s arms.

Wiping his face, the captain turns to the crew.

“Keep an eye on her. The little toaster is a feisty one she is.”--Captain

Meanwhile the captain was setting up the transmission, some of the pirates began talking about pillaging and getting rid of some of the bots on board.

One of them mentioned the captain of the ship.

She tensed hearing some of the details.

Her frame started feeling warmer than usual, but she brushed it off as her system being out of whack after all the beating to the helm.

Unfortunately, they noticed.

The nearest guard grabbed Moonstreaker by the back of her helm.

“Oh? Did we strike a nerve, you overgrown toaster? What? You didn’t like what we were saying? Huh? HUH!”—Crewmate 1

The guard slams her helm repeatedly into the wall next to her.

One of the guards stops him.

“Careful you dummy! You’re gonna damage the fuel tank with another hit like that.”—Crewmate 2

The guard holding her helm dropped her in front of the fuel tank in a crumpled heap.

Part of Moonstreaker’s helm was thoroughly soaked with energon.

Part of her vision color pink and the other is seeing double the amount of guards than before.

“Yeah, but that’s nothing compared to what I’M gonna do to the pipsqueak who shot my knee!”—Crewmate 1

The guard shows the bandaged knee to his friends.

“I swear, when I get my hands on that little red bot I’m gonna—”—Crewmate 1

“You…”--Moonstreaker

The guards turn back to Moonstreaker, who was shakingly trying to sit back up.

“Will Not…”--Moonstreaker

She nearly falls again but leans more against the fuel tank’s wall.

“Touch…”--Moonstreaker

She is now sitting on her knees, optics blazing with anger.

“Him… or anyone on that ship… that… I promise.”--Moonstreaker

Meanwhile on the Lost Light…

The pirate’s transmission had just been connected.

Rodimus glares daggers at the smug face of the captain.

“Why, hello—”--Captain

“Where’s Moonstreaker!”--Rodimus

“Rodimus, please, calm down.”--Magnus

Rodimus shoots daggers at Magnus.

“Roddy, you’re going to set something on fire if you don’t calm down.”--Drift

Rodimus looks down at his literal smoldering servos and tries to calm down.

“Where’s our crewmate?”--Megatron

The captain was about to talk when it was interrupted by screaming.

“What in the—”--Captain

“Admiral! What in the blazes is—”--Captain

“FIRE! FIRE NEAR THE FUEL TANKS! FIRE NEAR THE—”--Crewmate

BOO—BBBBBEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPP!

Magnus and Megatron had never seen the look of horror that fell across Rodimus’s face when the transmission abruptly ended.

Drift had to drag him back to his chair before he fell to the ground and called Ratchet in.

The Co-captain hadn’t made any movement or sound.

Just clutching his chassis with a shaking servo.

Magnus and Megatron took charge while Ratchet were checking on Rodimus.

It didn’t take long for the Lost Light to find the pirate’s ship.

Not when they could see where the fiery blast came from.

The ship makes it to the location in record time.

Except there was no ship.

Or one intact at least.

It was just burnt pieces of wreckage and parts floating around.

And one Autobot’s frame floating limply amongst it.

A team was sent out to get Moonstreaker’s body.

Rodimus wanted to go but was ruled out when he nearly collapsed again trying to stand up.

Ratchet ran to the med bay hearing over the coms that Moonstreaker was still alive.

Rodimus nearly bursted out of the room if Drift hadn’t talked him into waiting.

What good was he in the medbay if she was in critical condition?

The news of Moonstreaker’s return to the Lost Light quickly spread like wildfire.

More specifically, to a red minibot how looked like he was going to cry at any moment.

Swerve cursed and cursed for being small and having the others hold him back from running to the med bay.

He already felt awful for not doing more in the invasion and then hearing that Moonstreaker had been kidnapped by them.

Skids and some of the others helped close the bar early for Swerve.

The moment that Ratchet had given the clear for visitors after getting her stable, Rodimus and Swerve were one in line.

Swerve was in the room when Moonstreaker woke up.

Moonstreaker slowly opens her optics to see a surprised Swerve.

“’werve?”—Moonstreaker

The minibot gasps and the tears start rolling down his face.

“Moonie!”--Swerve

She winces at the sudden noise.

“Oh, Primus sorry!”--Swerve

Moonstreaker smiles at him, tears and all.

She carefully wipes them.

Swerve cries even harder holding both of his servos on the servo on his cheek.

“How? Where is—”—Moonstreaker

Harsh pede steps start getting louder.

Swerve instinctively holds her servo tighter.

“Rodimus calm down!”--Velocity

BANG!

Rodimus suddenly appears in front of the pair looking just as shocked Swerve had been.

Swerve slowly puts her servo back down, much to the pairs want.

“I’ll leave you two alone. Nice to see you online and all Moonie.”--Swerve

Moonstreaker has her servo extended a bit longer as Swerve leaves the med bay.

Rodimus takes her servo and lets out a vent of relief before the tears start prickling.

She squeezes her brother’s servo in comfort.

“Hey Roddy.”--Moonstreaker

He smiles letting a couple of stray tears fall.

“Hey Moonie.”--Rodimus

Just for funsies while the next chapter comes out, here are the notes for almost every Toaster appearance:

Chapter 15:

"It means I taste-test everything first and if there's something wrong with it, we know right away, cuz I'm so small!" Toaster pounded a tiny fist into a tiny palm. "Unsung hero!"

Not main plot related, just the introduction to Toaster because I like him. I love that he wasn’t stuck in there with SW, SW was stuck in there with him.

Chapter 21:

Toaster wielded a spoon like a sword and whacked Soundwave's shins. "Put him down!"

Toaster being this incredibly brave against Soundwave is amazing and hilarious. There is s reason he survived the DJD.

Chapter 23:

Toaster had made a curious request, but whatever Toaster wanted, Toaster got.

As he should, he’s our hero.

Soundwave was there, too, squished against the window between Rodimus and the wall, because Toaster had specially requested his presence.

I’ve not a clue why Toaster requested SW be there, but this is hilarious.

"Chin up!" Toaster whacked Ultra Magnus's knee with the scepter.

Random character development moment that doesn’t have to do with Rod or SW, Toaster in the fic Cone, was intimidated by Ultra Magnus for both his being an important autobot and his size but thousands of years later he does not care.

Chapter 44:

Toaster wriggled out of Ambulon's grasp and fell to the floor. "Scraplet this!" He kicked Ambulon in the shin.

Iconic Toaster moment, he fears no mech, monster or god. Very cute he feels comfortable to just climb the bed and talk to SW (latch on to Lazerbeak too) but then again why would he hesitate to do whatever he wants? He’s Toaster.

Chapter 47:

His curse-laden muttering softened as he swung an apron on. It was painted with a crime scene style outline of Toaster's body. Scrawled inside the outline were the words, HEro Of THe sHip And THis Is WHat You Do To ME.

This is hilarious and Toaster does NOT deserve this. I wonder how many times weekly he has to wrangle Grimlock with his tiny self.

The reason why Toaster wanted Soundwave with him in the Snowbeast and the reason he has a fondness for SW, is because Toaster is also an ex-Decepticon. at one point he tells SW he is "The student who will someday become a master." this is basically his way of saying "someday you'll grow out of the Decepticon stuff and become like me- no longer a Decepticon, but who you are meant to be." and who is Toaster? the hero of the ship, of course ;)

Transformers Random Headcanons:

During their time on Earth: the Autobots picked up on human habits. Good and bad.

Humor: Bee picks up a love for cheesy jokes and movie references, much to Optimus' exasperation. Arcee develops a dry wit, delivering one-liners that leave the Decepticons sputtering.

Curiosity: Bulkhead becomes fascinated with human inventions, tinkering with old radios and trying to understand the mechanics of a toaster. Ratchet, ever the scientist, finds human medical advancements intriguing.

Empathy: Optimus Prime, already a leader who values life, becomes even more empathetic after witnessing human compassion. He encourages the Autobots to understand human emotions.

Teamwork: The Autobots, already a team, learn new forms of collaboration from human military operations. They incorporate human tactics into their own strategies.

Selflessness: Inspired by firefighters and first responders, the Autobots develop a deeper sense of selflessness, putting the protection of others above their own well-being.

They all pick up on human swear words (They’re working on getting better).

Social Media Addiction: Bumblebee, with his playful personality, could become obsessed with social media, constantly checking his energon-powered equivalent of a phone and neglecting his scouting duties. This could lead to some close calls where the Decepticons almost catch the Autobots off guard.

Optimus Prime: Ever the logical leader, Optimus would likely approach fictional stories with caution. He might research the origins of these stories, recognizing the elements of storytelling and mythmaking within human cultures. While he wouldn't dismiss them entirely, he wouldn't believe them as literal truths either.

Bumblebee: This impulsive bot would be more likely to take fictional stories at face value. He might become obsessed with finding Bigfoot or encountering a real ghost, dragging the other Autobots on wild goose chases based on legends and folklore.

For a while I’ve been wondering if the Transformers might be in a bit of a rut with its villains. Ever since IDW in particular leaned hard into making the Decepticons more of an oppressed group fighting against (implied) tyranny, it kinda feels like the series has lost its primary villains, especially Megatron who has fairly consistently been portrayed as more of an anti-hero in more recent stories.

Because of this, a lot of stories post Aligned have desperately tried using other villains but none of them have really stuck as mainstays.

Cyberverse and WFC tried bringing back the Quintessons, but neither really left much of an impression, despite CV handling the group better. Both Quints just kinda confusingly show up with an intent to destroy for vague reasons, and then leave. Both shows also tried to use the Mercenaries but both just used them so horribly… Not helped is both sets of Mercs were all Decepticons, making it feel more tonally confused. RiD15 got this right by having Autobot bounty hunters in addition to Decepticons post war to make it less … one sided.

Prime Wars tried to have non Decepticon antagonists as well, but Starscream, Trypticon, Menasor, Overlord, Rodimus Unicronus, and Megatronus are all labeled Decepticons, so … which is it…?

It feels like, similar to Sonic fans making observations about Eggman, that Hasbro and current creatives want to move away from using the Decepticons as villains, but don’t really seem to know what to do without them.

There’s this confusing back and forth where they can’t seem to fully divorce themselves from the Decepticons, using some in non Decepticon but still Decepticon roles that I don’t understand, especially in Cyberverse’s case, why they just weren’t rabble rousing Decepticons in a post war setting. (There was Megatron X, Tarn, and the Perfect Decepticons, but they too feel like they were meant as a separate, non-Decepticon faction at times like I dunno, Horrorcons or Vehicons.)

The live action movies are similarly in a weird spot where Megatron steadily became less prominent in favor of other villains, one villain being an Autobot even, to the point he has no role in Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts. While the Bee Movie did use Decepticons effectively in their traditional roles, we now have Beasts…

Now you’d think the obvious thing would be to use the Predacons as galactic beast machine overlords or something, opposite the Maximals, but instead we have the Terrorcons led by Scourge. That in itself isn’t bad, but it still feels like that same reluctance in using Decepticons, as the Predacons are typically the descendants of them, so a weird reluctance by association… (Doubly confusing as some Terrorcons are former Decepticons, continuing that weird tonal confusion.)

This wouldn’t bother me so much if Hasbro just came right out and admitted they want to retire the Decepticons as antagonists and they want to focus on a new evil faction going forward in newer (non-G1) media. Rise of the Beasts feels like that’s them indirectly admitting it, but then we have EarthSpark.

EarthSpark is basically Rescue Bots but aimed at teenagers. (They say it’s a kids show, and it is, but let’s be honest, most children’s media above kindergarten nowadays is more openly made for teens and college aged adults. Quick aside, Rocko’s Modern Life and The Brave Little Toaster is a fun instance in the 90’s where both was actually made with adults in mind, but when they found out kids were watching the most, they toned it down. Gargoyles meanwhile, was made for kids specifically, but was also made by a team that wasn’t trying to make (as much) of a point above all else…) Anyhoo like Rescue Bots, the focus is more on a team of young new Autobots (again let’s be honest, until told otherwise the Terrans are all functionally Autobots) navigating life with their new found family. While the Decepticons are villains this time, they’re limited to mostly being an inconvenience in favor of the new lead villains Agent Croft of GHOST, Dr. Mandroid and his Arachnamech droids. Both are a call back to Marvel TF human villains who don’t trust any Transformer and want to hunt and exterminate them all. These two are really fun, though they admittedly lean a little too much into a current “only white people can be villains thing” I’m not fond of (some of my favorite baddies from other stuff are other ethnicities as well!), but they’re both otherwise very solid and have that honesty of Hasbro wanting to try new villains outside of the Decepticons. But because fans are always weird about humans, the Decepticons have to be the “true” focus, but that doesn’t really work very well in a show that wants to paint the Earth bound Decepticons in a sympathetic light (particularly Tarantulus and the Cassettes) like IDW and Cyberverse did…

It does appear ES is at least partially aware of this, and it feels like they’re making Shockwave the new Decepticon leader in the absence of Megatron (again kind of harkening to Shockers’ role in Marvel), with the assumption Shockwave will take control in season 2. It would be fittingly logical, still having the new human villains but also reinvigorating the Decepticons with a cold, merciless yet logic driven leader not bound by petty things like a conscious. However there’s still the mystery of what happened to Cybertron. The earth bound Transformers are cut off from Cybertron and seem to assume the planet is gone and their race near extinction up until the discovery of the Terrans. Now there’s a separate discussion entirely here, but what I want to focus on is Cybertron. Some of us have wondered if the planet is not only still intact but the remaining Autobots and Decepticons are still fighting up there. Why wouldn’t they? Shockwave wants to continue the war, and other Earth Decepticons are also itching to settle old scores when the time comes, so it stands to reason the Cybertron Decepticons are doing the same. It’s led to some theories that the Cybertron bound Transformers may reestablish contact with Earth, with the Decepticon leader of Cybertron looking to rescue Megatron and take over the mudball he was trapped on for decades. Who would be the leader? A friend has been gunning for Deathsaurus in particular, but I’d say any previous Emperor of Destruction type Decepticon would work well: Deathsaurus, Scorponok, Galvatron, Magmatron, Cryotek, Overlord, Tarn, Straxxus, etc. Some theories have also leaned on a group of evil Terrans, possibly led by a Terran version of Beast Wars Megatron as synergy for RotB and general Beast Wars resurgence purposes. Both takes would be interesting, especially with the ever common observation the wars never truly end (it’s why I don’t have high hopes for the returned peace in Cyberverse with the twitchy Shadow Striker and immature Bumblebee as new council members), that it stands to reason the Terran Transformers might have their own war later on…

My point otherwise is if Hasbro wants to truly commit to non Decepticon villains going forward than actually commit to the bit and not be wishy washy about it. Mandroid, and Scourge seem to be the step in such a such a direction.

However if they want to retain the Decepticons as the primary villains, but not have Megatron as the leader anymore, then pick a new leader and commit. Part of why I enjoy RiD15 so much is that it wasn’t afraid to experiment in that context, with such leaders like Steeljaw, Glowstrike, Scorponok, Saberhorn, Cyclonus and Motormaster all serving as fun leader types for what they were at the time. Personally I’d enjoy Optimus vs Scorponok again, or an Optimus/Predaking, Fire Convoy/Black Convoy, and Bumblebee/Steeljaw style match up. Bumblebee continuing to be the main focus probably implies more of a Bee/Steeljaw thing in the future and I’ll gladly take it.

I think what I’d prefer at this point is a new evil faction since that’s what it feels like it’s going anyway, be it something like Blendtrons, Terrorcons, Predacons, Vehicons or a brand new kind of ‘Con. Terrorcon feels like the faction Hasbro wants to use specifically from Prime and now the Movies, though it’s continued usage will likely depend on RotB…

Meet 90s Au Prowl!

He was a normal every day doors to doors salesman after his childhood career in Cyber-Gymnastics didn't really follow up. He would sell magazines, toasters, whatever else useless junk and he was... surprising, to say the least! Prowl doesn't like traffic, its stressful for him, so rather than do his routes on wheels he would navigate past traffic by parkouring over buildings to get to his destination. He thinks nothing of this, it was the only way for him to get around it.

He met the journalist Jazz because they both went to the same dive bar after work and they hit it off. Prowl later saved Jazz's life from their mutual friend-turned-enemy, Steamhammer. Jazz has a lot of dirt on Megatron's schemes and Prowl went along for the ride, believing in protecting his friend. This led him to meeting the Autobots and its what got him on the original mission to sink Megatron's Yacht. His parkour and navigation skills are incredibly valuable but nobody knows where he learned to throw knives so well.

He developed some of his hand-to-hand combat skills with the help of Heavy Load, who ran a self-defense class on Cybertron.

When he got to Earth he immersed himself in learning to navigate the world which eventually led him to learning what telephones, satellites, and the internet was. He manages most of the Autobots online security but he also has a blog where he posts pictures of things he's seen on Earth. It's mostly butterflies.

Prowl is sometimes hard to read as he speaks very factually and not with much inflection of tone but he loves his friends very much and he loves Earth too. He prefers the Forest Base and other remote bases so he can avoid traffic but he will travel into the small town close to the Forest Base to ask his human friend, the 80 year old Shirley, to help pay the Autobot's internet bill.

His current mode is the 1985 Mitsubishi MP-90X!

The start of another TFA comic I'm dubbing SkyGliding as it's centered more on Powerglide and Skyfire's relationship and how they met + some friends! This follows my last comic, Bots with Altitude. Here Skyfire admits to Powerglide he wishes to get out of the lab he's been retreating to and go out and meet some more people! But he's never really been the extra social type and he's been away from Cybertron for millions of years, lots has changed since the war and while under Autobot rule. Being an Ex-Decepticon he feels a little out of place and somewhat nervous around the often much smaller Autobots. His more extroverted husband assures him he'll get along with the other bots just fine.

Bot Buddy the Triple changer meets Blitzwing

They met each other in the park.

Blitzwing had heard from around that there was a huge babysitter bot in the city.

He thought that the bot would be perfect for spare parts. If the bot was as big as the rumors were, then it could easily be scrapped and used for inventions or the med bay.

So, he went flying to look for the bot.

After an hour of flying around the triple changer found nothing.

Taking a break, he went to one of the parks and walked around.

“Why are we here again? The bot is nowhere here!”—Hot head

“But these daisies are!”--Random

“We are taking a break before we resume our search.”--Icy

“Why can’t we blast this place!”—Hot head

“No! Look at the pretty little birds! Look how they fly—”--Random

THUNK!

“Hey watch were you’re going!”—Hot head

“You watch—”--Guardian

Buddy and Blitzwing stare at each other.

“Great…”—Buddy and Blitzwing

All Buddy wanted to do was take the kids to the park for bird watching.

Now they had to deal with this Decepticon.

And on such a perfect day too!

It had taken so much time and patience to get permission slips from the parents to let the kids go out on a field trip to the park. They did manage to sort everything out better once some of the parents became chaperones for the trip.

The two triple changers met face to face.

…

And the two screamed.

“AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!”--Buddy

“AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!”--Blitzwing

Buddy and Blitzwing falling backwards.

Blitzwing quickly snaps out of it and stands up with his canons raised.

“Servos where I can see them Autobot!”—Hot head

Buddy is still in shock seeing the Decepticon.

A rock hits Hot head in the chin.

“Leave them alone!”--Johnny

A twig hits his pede.

“Beat it you big meanie!”--Suzzy

Ms. Jones pulling out a rather large taser from her purse.

“You stay away from them you heartless little—”—Ms. Jones

Guardian quickly standing up and putting themselves in front of the group before looking down concerningly at the long taser

“Ms. Jones why do you even have that big of a taser in your purse?!”--Guardian

“That doesn’t matter right now sweety.”—Ms. Jones

“I feel like it should matter. That thing is the size of a cattle prod! How did that even fit?!”--Guardian

“I got it at a local flea market a few years back. Rebecca said it was some sort of hazard or something. Back to what I was saying, get your over-sized toaster oven butt out of here!”—Ms. Jones

The two triple changers are ready to throw down.

But they don’t, instead they take the time to size each other up.

Guardian and Hothead are ready to fight.

But then Hot head changes to Icy, surprising the other bot.

“Well, this was unexpected.”--Icy

Guardian changing to Carrier.

“That makes two of us then. And you are?”--Carrier

“Blitzwing.”--Blitzwing

“And…”--Carrier

“Oh? I… no one really asks that… I am Icy, one of my counter parts you met was Hot head.”--Icy

“Fitting name. Fiery personality.”--Carrier

Icy suddenly switched to Random.

“And I’m Random! Who are you? We haven’t met another Triple changer in decacycles!”--Random

Carrier switching to Jester who grabs Random’s servo and shakes it vigorously.

“Crazy! We’ve never met a Triple changer before! This is our first time! Oops! Where are my manners! The first one was Guardian, the second one was Carrier and last but certainly not least… ME! I’m Jester! Hero to humor and slayer of boredom!”--Jester

“OOOOOOHHHHH! I like you! I like you a lot! I—”--Random

Random turns back to Icy and Jester turns back to Carrier, both holding their helms a bit.

“What just happened?”--Johnny

“I have no idea…”--Suzzy

“Maybe Buddy found a new friend.”--Johnny

“Well, I don’t trust him.”—Ms. Jones

Icy and Carrier come back looking a bit embarrassed and both share a look.

They knew the slight pain it was to have all the personalities in order.

Especially keeping the more… eccentric ones at bay.

“Random was right about us not seeing another Triple changer in decacycles… would you, by any chance, be open to taking a walk with us.”--Icy

“A walk?”—Carrier

“Yes.”--Icy

“And the war? I don’t have anything to do with that now.”--Carrier

“Nothing about the war. Just Triple changer to Triple changer.”--Icy

Carrier hesitated, remembering the kids and their parents.

The kids and parents looked at their bot and then to the Con.

They didn’t like the idea of their friend going on a walk with someone like him.

But they also knew Buddy was curious about the Triple Changer.

They… they needed this.

“It’s okay Buddy. You can go.”—Ms. Jones

“Ms. Jones? Are… are you sure? What about the kids and—”--Buddy

“Let us worry about them, they are our kids after all.”—Ms. Jones

“And what it looks like, you need this.”—Ms. Smith

“I…”--Buddy

“Its okay Buddy! We’ll see each other tomorrow!”--Johnny

Yeah! Then we can play hide and seek!”--Suzzy

“And color!”--Kyle

“You heard them, Buddy. Go on now don’t be shy.”—Ms. Smith

“I… Thank you.”--Buddy

“No problem! But if the toaster over there gives you any trouble—”—Ms. Jones

“I’ll call Prime.”--Buddy

“That’s the Buddy we know. Have fun!”—Ms. Jones

Once the last of the humans left Buddy turned to Blitzwing and the two began their walk.

It was a nice walk.

Both comparing notes about how they manage their personalities and some funny stories here and there.

“Wait are you serious?!”--Jester

“Yes! Then Lugnut came in, with the button out, only to have a rock press it and BOOM!”—Hot head

HAHAHAHA!”--Jester

“Okay now you’re turn!”--Random

“Well, there was this time Timmy stuck a crayon up his nose and didn’t tell me until he was sneezing green snot!”--Jester

“EEWWWHAHAHAHA!”--Random

Never once talking about the others fraction.

This was something personal.

They both needed this.

Finally, it was time for Blitzwing to head back to base.

“This was fun!”--Jester

“Absolutely!”--Random

Jester changing to Carrier and Random to Icy.

“We should do this again. This was nice.”--Carrier

“Agreed, we should schedule later on.”--Icy

“Yes!”--Carrier

“Then it is settled.”--Icy

“Then until meet again Blitzwing!”--Buddy

“Until then Buddy!”--Blitzwing

“Fly safe!”--Jester

“Watch out for snow geese!”—Guardian

Blitzwing flies off.

Buddy sighing.

“You can all come out now.”--Buddy

“…”

“I know you all were watching us… thank you for having my back, even though I didn’t need it.”--Buddy

“You’re welcome!”--Johnny

“Shh!”--Suzzy

“They know we’re here already!”--Timmy

“Well, now they do!”--Tyler

I wasn't ready to see the chapter at 3am, but it was a great read and so worth the limited sleep! Soundwave has really come far from the first set of chapters and I'm living for it! I love that he was painted! and All the visits were so cute, Toaster was absolutely my favorite.

Also the convo with Mirage and Skywarp?? I love they are back together again, away and safer. But Have you ever mentioned who else was (potentially) alive in Mirage/Skywarps universe? I kinda remember a few who aren't but could you say who is?

Also sorry if something was confusing but SW wasn't painted. Ambulon was cleaning his tentacles. Anode and Lug are still working on paint for him...

I haven't mentioned anyone else who was alive in 2938. Most of the living beings - let alone Cybertronians - have been killed by Megatron. I'd have to sit down and really think about who could be left. No one on the ship, and no one in high command on the Autobot side (OP, Prowl, Jazz. they'd all have been offed long ago)

I didn't state this anywhere, and it didn't really solidify in my mind til now, but I feel like 2938 Rodimus died shortly before Mirage decided "fuck it, I'm going back for Skywarp." Maybe that was the last straw for him. If I had thought of that months ago I could've seeded it into the story, but alas xD
