Right now, the official Ace Attorney website has listed the first four episodes of the first season of the anime, and the first five episodes of the second season of the anime, for free on YouTube. They've also released a selection of songs from the 20th anniversary orchestra concert, and a new promo video for the 456 Collection which actually contains nothing new at all.
The Japanese website has the same things plus a collection of the manga that appears to be based off of the anime, which I don't believe has been translated yet, officially or otherwise.
All of these will be available until February 29th, 2024!

Hey taking advantage of the fact that there are people asking for headcanons of nana, could you make headcanons dating Ren?
Nana ~General dating headcanon~
Manga/anime: Nana
Warnings: nothing
(Y/N): your name
H. Ren
Ren is a very insecure boy, even if he covers this insecurity with a veil of bravado and by acting tough. In fact, when you two are alone, he's much more shy around you than he's in front of other people: he sometimes just needs to be reassured and consoled and advised by you
What does Ren like to do most with you? Nothing. Or rather, everything. He enjoys doing every activity with you, from cooking dinner to doing laundry with you. In fact, whenever he's available, you two can do all sorts of activities together
Ren loves when you come to see Trapnest's concerts, and he always gets you tickets in the best seats and access to their dressing room: there's nothing he likes more than seeing you come to him after the concert is over. Furthermore, he would also like you to listen to his band's rehearsals, but Takumi the other members are against it because he gets distracted watching you, so he doesn't play well. Plus, know he wants to take you on tour with him every time, and, if his managers are against it, he'll insist until they allow it
I think Ren's first love language is quality time: since he's always very busy with Trapnest, he thinks the best way to show you affection is to spend as much time with you as possible. In fact, whenever he has free time, he stays with you, doing all sorts of activities together with you, like cooking, teaching you to play the bass, reading or watching a movie
Ren doesn't call you by any particular and imaginative nickname. In fact, he usually calls you by your name, but he sometimes uses classic nicknames for you, such as "love", "darling" or "dear". However, he only does this in some specific cases: for example, when he's jealous, he uses "darling"; when he comes home upset from a busy day, he calls you "love" (sometimes also "my love"). Instead, when he's in a particularly sweet mood, he calls you "beauty"

Random things
Random thing 1: Pumpkin Scissors returned to serialisation in Bessatsu Shounen magazine last month after a 4-year hiatus and it hasn't missed a beat. Picks right up where it left off, feels like no time has passed. Truly hope it continues like this because it is an A+ series.
Tumblr media
Random thing 2: The Paripi Koumei stage play is happening right now and it honestly looks like a lot of fun, but Eiko's #1 Fan has an acrylic stand and individual bromides while Kobayashi doesn't. Entirely my own bias at play here, but the only Eiko's #1 Fan merchandise I'd want would be something featured the drama version of the character (because she is fucking adorable). OTHERWISE, PLS GIMME EIKO'S TWO DADS! (Also omg I need the Eiko & Nanami hug bromide, just hook it to my veins they're too cuuuute.)
Tumblr media
Random thing 3: Manga Toshokan Z has a bunch of books by Matsubara Chinami available to read online for free (in Japanese) including my top pick, Rururu Miracle. You can support the artist paying for a PDF download, but this is optional. I mention Matsubara specifically because I've been scanning some old Sho-Comi stuff and she stood out to me, but I was also excited to see some of Omi Ayuko's horror/fantasy works on there (my pick being Kaze no Tategami from the Ayuko no Suspense Gekijou series) and Kusunoki Kei's Daitokai ni Hoero (see below). Plus Shibata Masahiro's Akai Kiba: Blue Sonnet (though you do really need to read the previous Akai Kiba books and they're NOT on this website). So overall definitely worth looking around for older, obscure one shots and series from a variety of genres and publications.
Tumblr media
Random thing 4: I have been extremely lucky with filling in some 2000-2001 Nakayoshi furoku gaps lately so I'm going to have plenty of new things to share on that front. This is of course in addition to the pretty heavy focus I've had on Hana to Yume, LaLa and others lately. I've got sooooooooo many amazing things I can't wait to share.

What to do if Durarara over
I'm going to assume you've finished the anime and have not gone into anything else Naritaverse wise
So! You can read the novels. Since they're officially licensed by yen press, you can buy the soft cover books or get them as an ebook / kindle from barnes and noble or amazon. I don't really endorse this but I'm sure if you do enough digging around you can find old, still available, free translations like anni_fiesta who did a lot of translating back in the day. Here's the link to their Index of Translation. I still use it since it's the only place I know that has the white day story translated and it's one of my favorites (For Kadota Related reasons haha), plus a couple of other side stories.
(I think the internet archives have the novels if you do some poking around but for Narita Please Write SH 5 reasons, I'll ask you to dig those up lmao)
Speaking of Side stories, Kazinha-726 translated a bunch of drrr side stories But since they haven't updated in a while, you need to change the links from kaedesan721 to their new URL kazinha-726. I'll directly link what you need here
Izaya Spin Off Translations I don't think these are officially licensed for translation so it's fine for me to link. This is the story of Izaya now that he's been forced out of Ikebukuro, and there's two books as of writing this.
Durarara Gaidens It's some gaidens, but It's also a handful of translated convos from 3 way stand of alley relay, the links use that kaedesan721 link, so while I won't be fixing all those links for you, I can at least link the tag for all of them here. you can probably find audio for this game on youtube, though I'm not sure anyone's like.... fully translated? perhaps? Which ALSO reminds me of the relay manga
Durarara Epitome of Eighteen Histories Written along side the release of season 2, we've got some stories involving Kazane Kinomiya, who's the half sister of Shinra, and a reporter. They have all 18 listed there nicely EXCEPT the Erika and Walker Link is a little messed up, and if you search through the posts you can get to it but anyway here's the link to that story specifically
DRRR x Hakata Tonkatsu Ramens Actually I haven't seen HTR or read it so I can't really tell you about this one but if you're into that series--
There's ALSO MiniDura which are little gag comics of the durarara cast in chibis! there should be 4 books as of me writing this. Godspeed on finding translations they seem to be around.... but this post is long and I'm scared of losing it so I'll update later on how many chapters there are so you don't miss any, though I'm seeing up to 10 in my cursory search.
Shizuo, Izaya, and Celty are also in uh.... Dengeki Bunko's fighting Climax, which you might be able to find some stuff on on youtube. but since it's Dengeki Bunko you also have other series... I can only remember A Certain Magical Index / A Certain Scientific Railgun / the other titles in this series as being part of it whoops.
So you've done all that, what do you do next?
Well Narita has other series, like Baccano! which had an anime before DRRR did, which is 16 episodes. Since Funimation lost the license back in like... 2012 it's not officially uh licensed for viewing anywhere, so uh. wink wink. message me if you need more help here.
There's ALSO the novels which... there are so many more than there are for drrr, also available to purchase, though these are hardcovers! Last time I checked they had.... around 20 translated? Since I'm more drrr side I'd have to ask about fan translations and if I can still find them around. But again I don't really condone it since we want more written you know?
Narita also has a couple other series, but the one that's my favorite besides DRRR is Etsusa Bridge (It's pronounced Essa Bridge don't make the same mistake I did. )
And i NEED more people to read that one please please please please
Unfortunately, the person who did the fan translation closed their Blogspot to the public so uh. the first 4 books, and really what is the main story, is available on the internet archive here
Though I'm saying thank you to baka-tsuki for my life by having a page of links here, which includes the 5th book, 5656 part two (NARITA..... I NEED 5656 PART 2 PLEASE...... PLEASE)
and Vamp on the internet archive here and baka-tsuki here
I also know about Hariyama-san but i don't actually know... if anyone translated that one..... Narita has also written for Bleach and Fate Strange/ Fake if you're into those. Straight up just linking this wiki page in case you have any interest in other stuff he's written
And finally! Currently, Dead Mount Death Play (often shortened to DMDP) is a manga written (or co written?) by Narita! which is currently getting an anime and all of his attention.
All that being said I've been really into Trigun lately lmao
Anyone else feel free to add on or tell me what I may be missing

You are the resident Thai novel reader, so I come to you asking for your expertise.
Where can I buy a physical copy of a Dr. Sammon English-translated novel? I could take Spanish too if that's an option.
I would like Manner of Death 2 (Transplant), but I'll take whatever is available.
Is that a thing? I see Amazon has an electronic version of Euthanasia/Spare Me Your Mercy, but I like to feel the weight of my books and I don't eff with Amazon, so any suggestions?
I know I'm asking a lot, so feel free to dismiss this request for information.
Hi! 💜💜
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there's currently no physical editions of any of Sammon's English (or Spanish) novels.
But! There's an English version of the (originally Japanese) Manner of Death manga and that one's very nice.
If you dislike amazon, you can also buy all of Sammon's English novels (along with many more official English translations of Thai BL novels) on MEB, which offers very fair reading previews and reasonable pricing (plus, the app comes with a reader and is fairly easy to navigate).
Afaik the only English translations of Thai BL novels that come with physical editions are some of Pat Rangsimant's novels (through amazon print-on-demand).

just finished watching opla and I enjoyed it tremendously! I've heard of one piece but never watched or read it, so I went in blind with opla. and it made me a fan! I absolutely love the strawhat crew! luffy is so precious and best boy, zoro got my heart, nami is one hell of girl, usopp grows on you, and sanji just cracked me up! and the bond between luffy and zoro in opla is just *chef's kiss* (I kinda lowkey ship them...). the opla makes me want to dive in the anime next but the number of eps scares me LOL!
Hello there~
This is amazing! ^-^ Easily one of the best things that's coming out of this live action adaptation is that it makes new people become fans of One Piece and even give the anime or manga a try. As a longtime One Piece fan, it just makes me happy to know our fandom is growing. One Piece looks f-cking ridiculous at first sight, I get it, but it actually has so much to say. Its longevity is absolutely earned.
You know, you're talking to someone who ships Zoro and Luffy quite hard xD I'm not exaggerating when I say they have the healthiest, possibly strongest and most meaningful bond that any two characters have in the story. And we get to see so much of it. Their understanding and devotion is just on another level. In fact, there are things that the live action left out which make certain events in the future more meaningful/emotional. Though I'm curious how they're gonna adjust the story to keep a similar effect, so to say...
To be honest, I would recommend the manga rather than the anime anyway. The anime contains a lot of filler material which can range from elongating scenes to entire arcs that aren't canon. You might want to see certain scenes from the manga in anime form but you can just go ahead and do that after you've read it. There are more than 1000 episodes and also more than 1000 chapters but trust me, it doesn't take 20 minutes to read one chapter so you'll be able to catch up with the manga much sooner than with the anime. The number may seem daunting but it really isn't when you're reading it. Plus, seeing Oda-sensei's art improve over the decades is a joy. You can read all available chapters on the official shueisha site here. (Or you can download the mangaplus by shueisha app.) You can only read each chapter once for free, though, so do keep that in mind. If you do decide to read it, I would love to know if your opinion on any of the strawhats will possibly change and what you think of ZoLu's bond in the manga~

I finally really truly registered to take the TOCFL (I had signed up for a free pilot test last year but when I went to make the deposit to confirm my slot, everything for Band B & C were already full, alas). I stopped taking formal classes a year ago, also stopped private tutoring, and had been lazily coasting along reading manga, scrolling Taiwanese social media, and occasionally listening to a podcast. Then I decided to apply for grad school.
Scared that having to read anything scholarly and of length in Chinese on a regular basis would make my brain combust, I applied to a program that apparently has enough English classes to graduate. Upon further investigation, many of the interesting ones are in Chinese. Strangely, to take classes in Chinese the department only requires a proficiency certificate equivalent to A2 level. I attached a transcript from my last language center class (around C1), but if I get accepted I figure I ought to have a TOCFL certificate, and if I don't, I'll definitely need one to apply for programs taught entirely in Chinese later.
I registered for Band B because I think I still read too slowly for Band C, plus they only play the listening passages once and I find listening to text being read in a newscaster style (vs conversational tone) extremely challenging. (I asked a teacher once what to do about this and she said listen to more Chinese news, because even the Taiwanese news tends to have a more informal tone.) The exam is in about a month, so I need a plan of action. I had already started reviewing the word list for TOCFL 4, which is 5000 words but sometimes just the same character 4 times in a row, each with a different part of speech:
Tumblr media
It's been kind of torturous because it's in alphabetical order, on the other hand it's good because it gives me pause as to whether I would really be able to make the correct choice between 規定、規矩、規律 and 規則 on a fill-in-the-blank question. So far all the words are familiar except some unexpected ones on feudalism and sending telegrams, but familiar and intimate are two different things so if I don't know the precise definition immediately I've been looking it up, along with examples sentences. My current goal is to finish going through the word list, try all the previous exams available on the TOCFL site to practice timing myself, and also find some more ideal listening content (for now I could go back to the audio files for 當代中文5 that I never got through properly). I also want to look up the most commonly used 成語 because they aren't included on the word list but surely they'll appear on the exam. Ideally I should also try to do more relevant reading (news articles, perhaps), but we'll see how far I actually get with that. I think I also need to do this studying at the beginning of the day, being a great procrastinator.
My dream scenario is that Band B turns out to be a breeze and makes me confident enough to take Band C! (Edit- I know the reading/listening test is electronic and apparently adjusts itself to your level. Maybe whatever level one selects at registration is simply the one it starts with?) Realistically though, I read one anecdote online from a guy complaining that he passed HSK 6 and then only squeaked in at TOCFL 3. Hence my apprehension and need for a study plan for test taking. Anyone else taken TOCFL lately?

Every person I see on here going "I've never read or watched One Piece before, but I'm watching the live-action version and having a good time"? I love y'all and I'm glad you're here. New fans are always good, and the source material is readily available if you can't wait for them to make more! The entirety of what the show adapted plus a little more is free on the Shonen Jump app rn (through Chapter 108), and the app is like...$2 or $3 dollars a month for ALL of the manga (and lots and lots of other manga, it's a steal). Or if you'd rather stick with television, pretty much the entire anime series is available both subtitled and dubbed into English on Netflix, Hulu, and Crunchyroll.
But also, as good as the source material is...if the live-action series is your jam and you wanna stick with it as your primary One Piece experience until Netflix stops making it? Awesome, more power to you! Love this story in whatever form you want to, don't let anyone talk down to you about being a fan of this or that version. We don't often get faithful, fun Hollywood live-action adaptations of manga/anime (really, it's just this, Speed Racer, and Alita: Battle Angel), and if there are people appreciating One Piece fully on the merits of the live-action show, I'm all for it.

hi Shiome! i'm sorry if this question is somehow wrong, i don't mean any negativity or offence. anyway,
i thought you might know where one can find xiyao 18 plus content, like manga, doujinshi or something like that? if there is any. it's so hard to look for visual content like that outside of specific twitter artists' blogs nowadays :(
thank you in advance and i hope you have a great day 💖
Hey there! If you mean outside of english language fanworks (which are either on AO3 or on artist's personal blogs as far as I know)... I can only speak for Japanese fanwork since that is my experience! The long and short of it is that there is close to nothing (not just for xiyao, but wangxian etc. as well), for one specific reason: Japanese fandom took mxtx's rule of "no profit from fanworks" extremely literally, and since the doujinshi re-sale market here is unstoppable, they ended up producing almost zero doujinshi for fear of it being resold for profit.
The only xiyao books that were ever available internationally were URO's (which I had the pleasure to translate into english!) but they are sold out and not uploaded online anywhere, as far as I know. :( She locked her accounts so I cannot link those either, sorry.
All I can suggest is to browse the 曦瑶 tag on pixiv to see some fanwork and comics.
Also, did you know that the original MDZS manhua artist drew some delightful xiyao (nsfw) once? ;)
Lastly, it is worksafe, but there is a fantastic Xiyao Zine I had to pleasure to mod for, available to download for free at @xiyaozine!

(This post is a bit random so if you get it you get it if you don't get it it's fine)
It's 2024. I should be going to the disco, which I dislike.
Instead, I decided to hyperfixate on a Welshman.
One thing that baffles me to this day, and trust me it has happened more than once, is has anyone ever tried to protest at least a bit to still have Matt as John? Did no one try hard enough? Or have the attempts failed?
I mean-
I'm a newer fan (even with content crumbs I am a fan) still, so I can't be sure, but I'm amazed that in all these years that have passed, no one ever did anything, and now he can't even play Constantine (I think).
And now, the only role I've seen is him dubbing John 💀
Ignoring this discourse about John, I've decided to search for other roles, movies, and series, and what I've found was interesting, to say the least.
I am becoming passionate about him for various reasons. Other than wanting to revive pre-pandemic activities, I have noticed a pattern: I enjoy searching for things that I only watch. These are some thoughts I had about some things I could not find in Italy:
Hard to find (for example, I'm still searching for "The Halcyon," and the funniest thing about this is that in Italy, it was shown on TV (on an RAI channel, RAI is an Italian broadcaster) during 2017 and it's not available on their platform.
Region-locked content (the DCAU being region-locked is such a crime; we only have House of Mystery, and that's it) or even trying to watch a simple cameo when the entire series is region-locked (the Harley Quinn one). However (and this is good news), while searching for Away (one of his movies to watch), I found Tubi and used a free VPN. It was slow, but it worked, and I watched it.
Expensive (I paid Assassin's Creed Black Flag in installments, so that wasn't expensive, but still...)
It was a play, so they haven't recorded it, but to see and better understand the role he played (in this case, read), I read Thérèse Raquin by Émile Zola, and it was still effective.
Not even available on Chili (an Italian streaming platform on which you can rent or buy movies), the title only appears but is not available for streaming (lol).
Using Vinted or secondhand shops in general (it’s not the best time for me to go fully secondhand, but I suppose I could find some things there).
At the moment, I've watched just what I could easily find without resorting to piracy (which is ironic, since in Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Matt voices Edward Kenway, a pirate.).
In this list of things I could easily find, we have:
Constantine (thanks to another fan)
Criminal Minds/Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior (I had Disney Plus for a month, so I've watched it from there)
Flypaper, Adverse (Prime Video)
Arrow (Prime video)
Legends of Tomorrow (Netflix and Mediaset infinity)
House Of Mystery (Amazon prime, you have to rent it but still)
While writing this I found that "Layer cake" is on Sky, which I have and Now TV too.
Pocket Money (While watching it I just understood two words out of an entire short and I'm a c2 in English 💀)
Away, Wild Decembers, Armistice, Blood Monkey
So, you might have been asking yourself... Have I gone mad? To search and find for stuff not even available in my own country? In my own continent, too?
Tumblr media
But I thought this is what comes with being a fan of someone, even if the career is what it is.
Considering me being unlucky, I was never able to see Matt when he acted and then had premieres at the same time.
Asssassin’s Creed Black Flag? I was 10, a child, lol.
Legends Of Tomorrow? I liked anime, manga and everything japanese.
And the list goes on...
It's nice to see what was like and what I couldn't live, gosh, I'm praying hard that we get to see him act again, I want and I wish to be present, live or not.
I wanted to make a really nice speech but nothing comes to mind, when I get it maybe I'll post it 💀

Where do you go to find the KHR manga in Japanese?
I'm a native Japanese! So I can read with original language. And also that's why my English is a mess :D
It's seems common for Japanese living abroad to order Japanese books. I have no experience with this yet, but I googled it and find some options. Thank Google always.
If you want to read KHR in Japanese, you have the option of registering for the Japanese version on online retailers. Many of them can be shipped internationally. Also you can read in e-book. Below are a few sites. All of these are major and I have confirmed that they can ship internationally if it's paper books. Click on the URL to access KHR!
Amazon
Kindle Unlimited
Honto
Rakuren books
U-NEXT (it can also watch Anime)
e book Japan
Also you can also get all volumes as a set, official fan books, illustration books or novels. (I heard that not all of what is published in Japan is also available overseas.)
Or "少年ジャンププラス" (website/appstore/Google play store) is Japanese(original) version of "Manga plus". This is an official application by the publisher and you can read many of past works including KHR. You can read the works for free by watching the ads or playing games.
This is also officially operated by Shueisha. It seems you have to use a billing system to read KHR in this. But it can read as an e-book. I'm not sure if it's same today, but I have been informed that it can be read from abroad.
ゼブラック (website/app store/Google play store)
But perhaps these may not be accessible from abroad. I don't have access to MangaPlus because I live in Japan. Also, shipping costs may be high and you may need a credit card that can be used in Japan. If you need any explanation or help with the Japanese language, I will be able to assist you. And I'm sure there are other ways besides these. I hope this helps you!

💙✨ about me: ✨
i'm an introverted, shy, and usually asocial person. somewhat antisocial too, sometimes can be completely silent and spend weeks alone when too overwhelmed from socialization. (INFP and pisces, but i don't take these seriously, although i can relate)
completely atheist. i don't mind religion, even if i might take it as stories and thoughts, but i just don't mind as long as it isn't fanatic christian stuff — i was raised around these people and it got me very tired of those things.
i'm in psychology college (i got a full scholarship), but i made a game development technical course along with high school (public education, got in through an entrance exam, was in first place on the classified candidates list), and am often studying things on my own, like languages. i draw, illustrate, research, write, can animate, design and code, and also make pixel art — sometimes i try making music, photographing and cosplaying. i'm on my way to be an indie game dev (plus a psychologist), but i'm mainly an artist and writer
as for how i identify as LGBT+, i'm queer as in all pan aspec atraction-wise. gender-wise, i identify as pangender, which in my case includes agender, genderqueer, and cassgender; this means i'm trans and non-binary. i usually put it all in short by just saying i'm queer and non-binary, but i don't shy away from saying i'm just gay (as in i'm definitely not straight)
i could be considered legally blind, as i can't see anything a few inches away from my face without glasses (8 degrees in each lens, but i've been needing a new prescription for some years... couldn't afford it yet). i suspect i might be neurodivergent (ADHD and autistic, mainly), and have lots of symptoms of depression, anxiety, some of ASPD and C-PTSD, but also can't afford to look into those. (yep, really ironic how i'm studying psychology before being able to go see a psychologist-)
i know spanish and french, besides portuguese and english. i don't have a lot of practice with those other two languages, but I can understand them well (speaking portuguese helps, heh). i still want to learn more languages — for now, i'm also studying japanese, LIBRAS and ASL from time to time
i aim for diversity, inclusivity and equity, specially for my games. that's a reason why i study a lot, and that's also why i want to make most of my creations available for free. and that's why i encourage you to give me support if you want, as it helps it all to be free of charge, and can give you a custom art or some cool extra content for a low tip (i can also think of opening a shop with prints and stickers to help it all, if you ever get the interest)
i'm a fan of:
Undertale;
The Owl House;
Good Omens;
Omori;
Revolutionary Girl Utena;
The Picture of Dorian Gray;
Deltarune;
Dracula;
Adventure Time;
She-ra and the Princesses of Power;
My Little Pony;
Sonic;
Don't Hug Me I'm Scared;
Welcome Home;
Puella Magi Madoka Magica;
and Dead Plate.
i also play RPG, like D&D, besides liking the RPG video games genre itself. as you see, i'm all over the place — i'm not completely organized and i allow myself to let some things be messy (like tags)
i like lots of things! and, though i enjoy horror, i don't make much art of this kind. plus, i create original stories, art, and characters of my own, like Safey — they're my mascot persona, and they're the fox creature on the pixel art by the start of this blog post. i have a bunch of projects i develop on my own, including ideas of comics and games! and sometimes i write poems, generally in portuguese, but i mix languages and write in english at times
i usually make cute things! whenever i happen to make something scary or with sensitive topics, i let it with the warnings i think it needs. rarely allude to NSFW — it can be there as subtext if i ever include anything like that at all, but i do enjoy artistic nude art, i do like philosophically/sociologically/literarily analytical thoughts and texts that could be about/related to sexual topics, and i also do like (well, you know) horror. i take a different approach on my own art that's around these, but you can avoid it if i ever make it due to the warnings, and i hope you will use the opportunity to avoid it if you're sensitive or don't want to see it. overall, specially for other people like me, i want my space to be a safe space
Undertale is my most favorite piece of media, so i'm drawn towards it most of the time. Sans is my favorite in it (sorry, heh). Flowey is also a favorite of mine
nice to meet you, and i hope you will like what i create!
thanks for reading! see ya! ^꒳^ [cute face smiling]
