It was clear to Phil from the first hour his team was going to lose it.

Whether “it” was the challenge or their minds was up for discussion.

Jaiden sat under his right wing, muttering to Baghera who’s head lay in the blue-bird's lap. Foolish used his left wing as a blanket, legs sprawled messily in front of him. Charlie found his place splayed across the totem’s legs, Cellbit draped over him like a blanket.

The weak, wooden floor creaked beneath them. It was clear that if Foolish had any more energy, he wouldn’t have had to see the floor before ripping it to shreds.

Exhaustion, aches and cramps tore at Phil’s every nerve, but he couldn’t find it in himself to sleep no matter how hard he tried.

He assumed it had something to do with the timer on each of their wrists. If he was right--and he prayed he was--he only had a little over ten minutes left.

“Do you think they are laughing at us?” Baghera asked quietly, feathers rustling beside her.

Phil mulled over their first day, and how promises of hope and optimism shifted to wails of agony and begging for retribution. Burn scars tainted the bodies of his team from their pleas for providence.

“They’ve got to be,” Cell snapped, “What else do they do?” He shifted slightly, burrowing his chin into Charlie’s neck.

“Mmh… oww...”

“Eh, sorry Slime. Time, anyone?”

Hysteria spread like infection, starting with the Slime and ending with Phil himself because—Void, despite living in the wild for months on end, Charlie was not built for this.

None of them were.

“Seven minutes..!” Baghera whispered.

“Around nine, I think.” Phil muttered.

“Damn, thirteen minutes.” Foolish’s head lolled backward.

Cell had twenty.

Jaiden had thirty-two.

Charlie had forty-eight.

Phil felt bad for them, condemned to linger awake, stewing in their suffering and fatigue.

It must’ve been comical, to some extent, to watch them suffer.

To clip an Avian’s wings and toss them off a cliff, just to watch them flail.

To hold a Feline’s head underwater, just to watch them thrash and choke.

To throw a Slime into the desert, just to watch them burn dehydrate and weaken, only to burn.

Someone had to find it funny.

Phil groaned as his eyes attempted to slip shut, old ghosts of burns and stabs and respawns gnawing at his bones.

His team was warm and cracking incoherent jokes, somehow, despite everything. A wobbly smile crept onto his face with no right to be there.

These were the cards they were dealt.

This was their chance at genesis.

Consciousness oozed from his ears, rendering him entirely immobile for the night.

Phil was sure tomorrow wouldn’t be any better.

slime can shapeshift, but most of the time unintentionally. so when he's around his hybrid friends, he shifts.

its annoying to him sometimes, because when he's around avian/angel hybrids (phil, jaiden, mariana etc) , he suddenly gets wings, and they feel uncomfortable on his back. but it helps him chase them when they suddenly fly off.

juanaflippa has short hair, because she only recently started growing it out! she is🏳️‍⚧️ :)

mariana is an angel, and she lets charlie teach juanaflippa how to preen his wings!

all the eggs are (technically) shapeshifters! they shift to inherent traits of their parents!

(juanaflippa has her dads allergies, her moms eye color + tilin mostly looks like quackity, but with v few subtle traits of her dad. + vice versa w/ other eggs!)

mariana finds taking care of his wings tedious, and hates desert biomes or rainy biomes, because water makes his wings heavy & sand gets between his feathers.

jaiden and phil mostly help with mariana's wings, but sometimes they cant help because marianas angel wings are more delicate and lighter then jaiden and phils wings!

tilin has a bunch of colored bows ( a gift from quackity) but since she likes the red one the best, she gave the rest to her close friends/famlily!

(quackity has tilins red one, slime has a green one, mariana has a white one, juanaflippa has a yellow one, roier has a black one, and bobby has a blue one, and jaiden has a teal one!)

(not rlly a headcannon) juanaflippa LOVES pink, and she makes a bunch of pink bracelets for her parents!

slimes arm that is covered in code is the one with the wedding ring on it, and slime was surprised the code didn't get the ring.

slime used to be bullied as a kid, and one of them stabbed a stick in his head, and thats why its there. he couldn't get it out, so its permantly stuck.

mariana constantly uses pet names for slime and juanaflippa, and gives them little trinkets randomly.

slime can stretch his arms and pick up anyone. if anyone thinks cellbit is acting recklessly, slime just. picks him up. and cellbit goes a little limp bc hes a cat LOL

mariana and juanaflippa are TERRIFED of spiders. slime has to kill them bc they refuse to.

mariana is the cool parent to juana, bc he lets her get ice cream and other treats!

Waking Up on the Wrong Side of the Bed

Phil steps aside and lets the skull-man lead him into the little house, where he takes one of the many picture frames off the wall. “Here,” he says, handing it to Phil. “Look. This is us—me, Chayanne, and Phil. My Phil.” Phil takes the frame, and sure enough, the photo inside shows the skull-man, Chayanne, and a man that looks…yeah, almost exactly like him. Granted, his hair is shorter, his striped hat has a wider brim, he’s actually dressed for the weather, and from what Phil can tell, his wings are undamaged and preened. Most of all, though, the Philza in the picture looks…he looks happy. Very happy. He’s holding Chayanne on his hip and he has a wing draped around the skull-man’s shoulders. La Familia Minecraft-Sinfonia, says the bottom of the frame, carved in flowing script. All three of them are smiling.

Y'know how Cellbit said the Chaos room is similar to Foolish? That's why he wants to finish it before showing it to him.

Guess what color is the chaos element represented by? Purple. Guess who else is usually illustrated with purple. Vegetta and Leo, Foolish's family.

It's just kinda funny how Foolish basically married (i know him and Vegetta are not married yet, leave me alone AAAAA) Chaos himself who is Vegetta and had the most chaotic child ever.

It's such a coincidence that purple happens to be both Leo and Vegetta's favourite color and Foolish being the silliest guy ever. I'm glad Cellbit recognized that.

Also like to add Jaiden in the picture. We all know Jaiden's main color is purple even tho she's mostly drawn as a blue avian but guess what. Cellbit also added a lot of blue blocks in the chaos room. Make Foolish and Jaiden's element both chaos and we have cucurucho buddies as chaos buddies too. THE CIRCLE YET AGAIN MAKES IT'S WAY AROUND.

Some Bolas Rojas as found family headcannons for y'all:

Baghera particularly looks to Phil as a father figure. Because of how she grew up she hasn't really had a good parental figure before and Phil is another bird person who just radiates parental energy. I imagine him teaching her about some of the bird person things that she never learned because she grew up in the Federation. Also, Phil sees another Avian who is struggling and just goes into protective dad mode.

Cellbit has protective older sibling vibes. I like to think that he would be the first one to seek revenge. The amount of murder and such greatly increases when he's in charge. Like, no one can hurt your found family if they're dead. Still, he thinks things through the most of everyone. He has more murder plots than anyone else but they're the least impulsive and most well thought out murder plots on the entire team.

Phil tries his hardest to be there for the team (his children) in any way possible but he's still dealing with a lot mentally. Cellbit tries to make sure he's taking breaks while he and the others try their best to take care of things. It doesn't always go well because they're so chaotic but at least Phil isn't working himself to death. Phil also just genuinely cares so much. Like he's right there whenever there's any sort of problem. Supporting his family as best he can 'til the end.

Jaiden and Slimecicle have such chaotic sibling vibes. They intimidate others with their sheer insanity. Like, they're manipulating and waging physiological warfare. They're the siblings that get into intense fights but are still somehow besties. They go about everything in a contradictory yet balanced way. No matter what Jaiden is somehow able to turn any situation into something beneficial. On the other hand, Slime is just suffering. Like, he's somehow able to make anything metaphorically blow up, but in a good way. So unpredictable than no plans against Bolas work. It's like aggressive optimism and devastating pessimism combining into a dumpster fire that is also the most beautiful thing you have ever seen. So, yeah, heavy sibling vibes.

I honestly am not quite sure how Foolish fits into all of this. He's like the most and least sane at the same time. Just kinda there. Absolutely part of the found family though.

Pretty much everyone is so down for murder except for Phil. Whenever he goes to bed it just becomes murder hours. Some of them start out with all the intentions for it but not enough battle skills to pull stuff off but the others pretty quickly teach them what they need to know. This is a murder cult but only after their dad goes to bed.

Bolas becomes the most defensive team. As they continue to grow closer they get really protective over each other. After everything that happened around their original base the new one becomes practically a fortress. No one can get away with attacking one of them. This definitely helps with the impression of not being the most powerful while still being the most feared.

I haven't included Carre in this just because I don't know much.

Okay, being held a gunpoint so I need to post this /j

QSMP AUs (so far), it’s literally only 3 but like, I enjoy these ideas (Also if you see a pattern in these aus no u didn’t):

Enderdeal: au starts post-prison, Phil makes a deal with EK (who heavy manipulates him through his lack of protection from Rose and his lack of adequate ability to protect Chay and Lullah now that all his stuff is gone) in a desperate bid to keep his family safe. Part of the deal slowly corrupts Phil, giving him some ender-like traits, mostly the irratation at eye contact and moments of instinct mode disassociation, causing him to become more paternal towards the eggs (meaning man can and will kidnap the eggs back to his nest). Also includes: Morning crew (Fit, Pac, Tubbo, Cellbit, Bagi, Baghera, and Etolies) forming a “WTF is wrong with Phil” squad and trying to keep and eye on him without tipping him off that they know something’s up, a more active Missa actually finding out smth’s wrong with Phil, and the eggs attempting to find a way to contact Rose. (this was inspired by @isa-ghost AMFMN)

King!Phil: bad ending of the EK arc. Phil’s fully possessed by EK and attempts to overthrow the Feds. basically a better version of that one arc from that one cc we don’t talk about. This one wasn’t as fleshed out in my head, mostly I just drew evil Phil and went “yes, I’mma start a story in this” and never went much further than a fight scene w/ Fit, Etolies, Cellbit, and Baghera. And the idea of Missa, Chay, and Lullah being protected by the spirit of Techno.

Q-Osmp Au: Originally, this was inspired by @pepper-mintzyy osmp au writings. Basically, I’ve thrown Missa (phantom), Cellbit(cat), Roier(arachnid), Fit(human), Pac(starborn), Bagi(cat/vampire), Tina(unknown rn, just wanted to add lesbians), Jaiden(elytrian), Baghera(avian), Maximus(bear, this one was a suggestion), and Mariana(fallen angel???) into osmp. The idea has been: Roier, Cellbit, Missa, maybe Tina and Bagi, have no memory of qsmp, and just are travelers. Fit and Pac (with Ramon and maybe Richas, might throw him with Cellbit and Roier) have traveled from Qsmp to Osmp after corpse hole rescue. the rest have arrived via tubbtrain and cross-server portal. may or may not have their memories from qsmp, since the rest are recent additions.

And here are all my QSMP AUs! I have sketches for each, some are more recent than others. Honestly these have been rattling around my head but I haven’t had a ton of time to flesh them into a coherent story.

Phil does have the urge to sometimes build nests, it makes himself feel safe and it‘s the best way to sleep for him, rest, etc. ( and it helps to calm down his other Avian instincts )

His nest, besides his own pillows, blankets and more cuddly things, also consist out of a few things that belong to his closest friends. Phil has either asked them for something he could add to his nest ( after building up the courage to do so, because it feels embarrassing ) or he just has straight up yoinked & stolen it from them WHEEZE

I also like the slight idea that the people he feels most comfortable with knowing about this also have small nests for Phil in their own houses, when he comes over for whatever reason.

His Flock on the qsmp consists mainly out of all the Eggs, Missa, Fit, Wilbur, Tubbo, Forever and Etoiles. He however trusts a couple other people decently well too that‘d somewhat fall under slight Flock instincts, such as Cellbit, Jaiden, Baghera, Bad, etc.

However the Eggs have had to deal with them being yoinked to and stay in Phils nest before ( usually only Chayanne & Tallulah, but Ramón, Richarlyson and Pomme are also all decently often there ). When there is no Egg around that he can yoink and protect in his nest, he just straight up does that with the others of his Flock. Besides the Eggs, Fit is probably the one who‘s most often with Phil in the nest because he‘s the closest near him usually.

( Yes, at some point he has yoinked all the Eggs too, most likely during a bad scare from a code monster attack )

Adding onto that, only his Flock is allowed to help preen his wings or generally touch them if it ever comes to it.

Phil doesn‘t fully participate in his culture for personal reasons, but he still knows a lot about it. When he does indulge in it, his favorite part will always be the varying dances in celebrations that he usually does with other Avians or pulls his Flock into it :D

nothing concrete obviously 'cause my brain doesn't work like that but maybe cellbit is philza son (together with bagi, baghera, chay and tallulah, and if that is too much for you i am adding more characters to the family) and maybe they are all avians and they live in a kigndon of floating islands or mountains because i want it to be cold for aesthetic reasons

and roier is foolish kid and he is not going to be the king of their kingdom cause they adopted leo first, but he still needs to marry, and etoiles could be his personal knight, and jaiden and tina are his ladies-in-waiting (does princes have that? idk) because i also need teaduo and roseduo and fedsisters, and they live in a more tropical place for aesthtic reasons again, can't u blame?

and roier would be totaly agaisnt their marriage cause he is a free spirit and he wants to marry for love and all that shit, and cellbit is his dads boy so he is doing his best to fullfil his job and make roier feel welcome in his home (i love his awkward gay wet cat energy even if he is a owl hybrid in this au)

it would be a cellbit fell first and roier fell harder kinda au, and it would have flower crowns, and the classic library scenes, and stargazin, and balls, and other stuff

and uh cellbit flying with roier because it would be funny and sweet

and lots of siblings and platonic relationships moments

Okay so back in 2022/23 I was part of a minecraft server that slowly turned into a lore roleplay server

I played a character only referred to as The Scientist (see below)

The Scientist was mechanically an avian because we were playing Origins. In Lore, though, she was a human scientist who was exiled from her homeland for inhumane science experiments

See, she wanted to fly. And so she went into prisons and into poor areas of town and took people and tried to make them ‘more than human’

In the end, she implanted metal wings into her own spine. This is what got her exiled and excommunicated from Science College

The Scientist bled with every step (aka I’d put down a bit of redstone every few steps.) She coughed up blood and pretended everything was normal. She continued her experiments once on the server, only on herself because she was the only human there

However, she would kill every single other player at least once for a blood sample. Multiple times per day, for some

She was an atheist whose best friend was the God of Farming. She had a rivalry with the server’s badass PvP guy, but they were also lowkey the only people who could understand each other

All of this to say: CCS STOLE MY CUBITO’S ARCHITECTURE!!

I built my house on that server out of deepslate and I surrounded it with blood red trees. A month later, that’s exactly how Cellbit’s house on the qsmp was built

And then??? God.

I had a secret underground lab miles away from spawn (like 10k blocks I think) that was made out of- listen to this- quartz bricks and deepslate tiles. I had water columns! A desk made of spruce! The world’s worst redstone door!

Cut to now and. Goddamn LUKEY stole my drip!!
