"Oi, misfits!! Look what I managed to pull!" Twizzly Gummy finally placed Cookiedroid down in the neon-lit shelter she and her other friends managed to set up during their travels. There was no natural light: only neon signs, electrical sparks, and lots of blues, purples, reds, and greens. There was a lot of makeshift technology around, and while the environment was rough around the edges, that's what Twizzly Gummy and the misfits liked about it.

"I managed to steal this robot cookie from a barren dystopian timeline!" Twizzly Gummy proudly proclaimed with a smug grin.

Cookiedroid scanned the area, easily seeing at least four other faces that peered back at the two. One of them, wearing a red hoodie, approached a bit, looking the android up and down, almost a bit impressed. She then whistled a bit. "Certainly looks like something that would be worth a lot of money. We don't have to charge this thing, do we? We don't have the scrap for that!"

"You say that about everything, Wild Strawberry." Another cookie, wielding what appeared to be an electric violin, snarkily remarked, which earned him a glare. A green cookie who had a prosthetic arm simply looked Cookiedroid up and down, staying silent.

"What's so special about this one?" An orange-haired cookie asked skeptically. Cookiedroid instinctively scanned each of their faces, but just like Twizzly Gummy, no data came up. "I do not have data on these users. May I have your names to get you registered?" "R-Registered??" The orange-haired cookie stepped back. "I'm not gonna get registered in squat!" "Pssh, this one ain't gonna register you!" Twizzly Gummy stated. "Being away from the timeline I stole this android from, won't be much of a threat! That being said..." Twizzly Gummy then motioned to each cookie. "That's Wild Strawberry, the toughest out here! Toothpaste, the snarkiest! Peeled Carrot, the most dishonest! ...And then there's just Half-Avocado."

"Are you sure this is gonna be safe?" Wild Strawberry asked. "I am not willing to throw out another one of your ideas into the dumpster." "I give it two weeks tops." Toothpaste smirked.

The leader wrapped one arm around Cookiedroid. "I'm sure this'll last a pretty long time! Isn't that right, uh..." "I am Cookiedroid." Cookiedroid finally got to an introduction. "I have been around for at least twenty-five years, and if there are any problems in my functionality, I will work to fix them."

"So, can you, like... search up stuff?" Toothpaste asked. "Affirmative!" Toothpaste paused. "...Can you give me the top ten most funny puns?" "Don't you DARE!" Half-Avocado finally spoke up, snapping a bit at Toothpaste as he snickered.

As the talking started up again because of how Toothpaste teased Half-Avocado, and it easily dragged Peeled Carrot and Wild Strawberry in, Twizzly Gummy laughed. "Ohoho, yeah, you'll fit right in here, Cookiedroid!" Cookiedroid simply smiled. "I will do my best to assist!"

You quickly became Twizzly’s favorite as you worked under her, ready to take a blow for her if the fight came to it. If she wanted a fight to get interesting, she would have you go willy-nilly with that weapon of yours! Her favoritism would show in how much of the cut for robberies and heists she gave you in comparison to the others. Of course, she lied that she gave everyone a fair share. Nope, you got a bigger share…because she was the pinnacle of madness like that.

Peeled Carrot Cookie was the most laidback cookie you’ve ever seen during break times. When it wasn’t a robbery, she was just chilling around while eating a jelly. She’d refuse to do any kind of work, saying that the others can do it for her. You however…ugh, fine. She guessed she can do this one thing for you. Overtime, the genuine reluctance in her voice went away with weak attempts at refusing to help you out before going along with you anyway. You saved her dough earlier, so she owes you one. Yup, that’s all there was. Totally not because she’s gone soft for you.

Wildberry Strawberry Cookie made herself out to be a tough cookie, but you knew exactly what to do to break through that front of hers. You kept waving new types of games in front of her if she wanted to try them out, she’d blatantly refuse the offer…until no one is looking and she yoinks it from you. But you have to play it with her! So it’s not just her that’s made fun of if she’s caught, that’s what she’d always say. She’s quick to protect you from an attack with that large lollipop of hers, but of course, she brushed it off as just an opportunity for you to do something for her later on. So…want to play video games when everyone else is asleep?

If you ever needed a break from the others, then Toothpaste Cookie was your guy. Not that you didn’t like the other members of your gang, just that things get hectic and you want some time away from that. He’ll play his violin to get the vibe in as you both chatted, usually him complaining about the many inconveniences that happened today. Agreeing with him will definitely score you high with Toothpaste as he believes himself to be the only sane guy around, so it’s good that you also have a head on your shoulders when it comes to wrangling Twizzly in. He’ll play a tune for you anytime!

Actions speak louder then words, that was the deal with Half-Avacado Cookie. You tried on more then one occasion to have a conversation with her, but it looked like she was just shrugging you off every time, so you kinda stopped trying to. You didn’t think her suddenly following you around would be her response. Toothpaste would have to clear the air that Half-Avacado does like you, she just isn’t the conversation type, she would rather let her actions do the talking. Which involved shielding you from harm and holding you close if you did get hurt. Perhaps the two of you were okay after all.

Canned tuna has become a pantry essential, but in the last 40 years has declined in its consumption due to health and environmental concerns. I grew up as a first generation Canadian to parents who grew up in landlocked countries where seafood of any kind was a rarity and as such was not something we often ate at home except for tinned tuna. Its delicate pale flesh and not overtly fishy flavour combined with an affordable price tag became a regular in the meal rotation.

With concerns over to our personal and environmental health as it relates to tuna consumption, here are some things to contemplate when buying tinned tuna:

When you are looking to buy a sustainably caught product that is lower in mercury, it is imperative that you take a good read of the labels and do a little research ahead of time. Some tuna species are riskier for consumers than others. Albacore can contain three times more mercury than skipjack because albacore are big predators, capable of growing up to 1.4 meters. Typically, it is reasonable to assume the bigger and longer-lived a predatory fish is, the more mercury it tends to have accumulated in its flesh.

As for sustainability, I have found that the Marine Stewardship Council is an excellent resource to refer to when looking to purchase seafood of any variety. Tunas range widely across the ocean, travelling thousands of kilometers during migrations. The tuna’s diets consist of fish, cephalopods, and crustaceans. Tuna fish require 25% of their body weight in food daily to maintain their energy requirements.

Hearty Squash Fishcakes

Makes 16 fishcakes

1 ¾ cups canned pumpkin puree

3 x 5 ounce cans msc/sustainably caught tuna, drained

4 green onions sliced

½ corn kernels

½ cup carrot, grated

3 Tbsp cilantro, chopped

3 eggs

1 lime, juiced

1 tsp each cumin, paprika, Old Bay Seasoning, paprika, ground coriander & onion powder

2 ½ cup fresh breadcrumbs

Preheat the oven to 400F.

Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl.

Using a large spring loaded ice cream scoop, portion and shape the mixture into flat patties onto a parchment lined cookie sheet that has been brushed with vegetable oil. Drizzle the top of the fish cakes with a little bit more vegetable oil or a little bit of melted butter for an extra flavour boost.

Bake at 400 for 15 minutes and then take the cookie sheet out of the oven, flip the cakes over and cook for an additional 10- 15 minutes. Both sides should be golden brown and crispy.

I like to make sliders/burgers with tuna cakes. I pop them onto buns with sriracha mayo, tomato, lettuce, red onion and avocado. Soup, salad, or oven fries make great side dish options for the tuna burgers.

Keto Diet Work

Diet And, just as important as avoiding a number of foods that can aggravate the inflammatory condition, is to include in the diet options that can accelerate the healing process. Check out what these gastritis foods are and how to include them in your diet menu.

Acid Foods x Alkaline Foods

According to their pH, foods can be divided into alkaline and acidic. The gastritis diet should contain a 4: 1 ratio of these foods, ie about 80% of your diet should be alkaline foods.

Examples of alkaline foods: brown rice, banana, carrot, quinoa, avocado, cucumber, pea, pumpkin seed, kale, and parsley. And contrary to popular belief, lemon is also an alkalizing food that can be used to reduce stomach acidity and soothe the pains of gastritis.

Acidifying foods include sugar, cheeses, Alpha Femme Keto fatty meats, black tea and coffee, chocolates, butter, alcoholic beverages, white wheat flour, cookies, pizza, and fried foods.

Foods That Worsen Gastritis

Alpha Femme Keto Acidifying, the foods below should be avoided - depending on the severity of the condition, they may not be completely eliminated from the diet for those with gastritis, but consumed only sporadically.

Happy December everyone! If you haven’t started your Holiday shopping yet, perhaps some of these ideas from my Holiday Gift Guide will inspire you. Also, my site is moving servers Monday so there is a chance it may be down but hoping it won’t. Just to play it safe, you may want to print out any recipes you plan on making Monday. THE DETAILS:

Breakfast and lunch Monday-Friday, are designed to serve 1 while dinners and all meals on Saturday and Sunday are designed to serve a family of 4. Some recipes make enough leftovers for two nights or lunch the next day. While we truly believe there is no one size fits all meal plan, we did our best to come up with something that appeals to a wide range of individuals. Everything is Weight Watchers friendly, I included the updated Weight Watcher Freestyle Points for your convenience, feel free to swap out any recipes you wish or just use this for inspiration!

The grocery list is comprehensive and includes everything you need to make all meals on the plan. I’ve even included brand recommendations of products I love and use often. Cross check your cabinets because many condiments you’ll notice I use often, so you may already have a lot of them.

And last, but certainly not least, this meal plan is flexible and realistic. There’s plenty of wiggle room for cocktails, healthy snacks, dessert and dinner out.
