Everyone talks about Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy being Crowley and Aziraphale's song, and while I whole heartedly agree with that, have you ever considered this:

Fucking amazing, plus it's on the same album as Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy.

I also think this song is criminally underrated but let's not get into that

You know, I've never really bought into the idea that he wasn't sure Crowley was talking about him here. Like, it's SO OBVIOUS that Crowley is talking about him, right?

Only, I just sent something to a friend bc it reminded me of her and she said something about how she was having a bad day but then "her best friend did something so nice and caring"

And my internal response was, "oh that's nice, I wonder what they did?" and also "I wonder who she's talking about exactly, I thought that was me"

It occurred to me hours later she was thanking me for what I had sent her

It was me. She was talking about me.

I now believe Aziraphale could've been thinking, "Best friend? Gosh, who is that?"
