These are vintage Sanrio wind-up toys (the winding mechanism is in the base) of the dog PomPomPurin with his hamster-best-friend Muffin & another one with CorocoroKuririn and their friend Cherri (both hamsters). Each small toy has a chain meant to attach it to a backpack. When would up, the hamsters (and dog) go on a spinning teacup amusement park ride. The images here were from an ebay listing that is now closed.
realized i never posted some little doodles i made of @narcissistcookbook and @bughuntermusic / @jammechanics. both based off tour and podcast art by the lovely DeepBlueInk.
if anybody got charms of the latter that I was giving out at the show, absolutely feel free to show me cause I would love to see where they all ended up!
I got that liquid shaker today in the mail, I'm happy with how it came out. It's boarder is black and lavender, i forgot to specify I wanted the black to be mixed in so it's visible but oh well.
Idk where to post this so here it is, a room spray I ordered a lil bit ago. It's nice.
"What?", you might say - "That hamster is not in a cup!" But look at the charm the hamster is investigating - a tiny hamster in a Starbucks cup! In the bottom photo the poster (latte.hamugram on IG) added the label "Yuka" to the charm so I am guessing they are custom made charms of their own hamsters and the hamster in the cup is named Yuka.
I need to share this perfect accidental renaissance portrait my partner drew of a scene we saw yesterday in real life. Two freshman college students were being tearfully forced to dump out jugs full of mysterious homemade booze labeled "brat juice," while their companion, bearing a literal plastic bag of the same fluid, watched from across the street, dispassionately.
