Omg I’m so happy you answered the Exo close ask because it is one of my FAVORITE topics!! This is ofc not to discredit your opinion at ALL I just like ranting about this. As someone who was a huge exo fan from like their predebut days to 2018 and then kinda left it behind- it has been crazy to see the dynamics change. ESPECIALLY following Yixing’s increased distance from the group ( I don’t think he’s in Exo but the dynamics definitely changed once he started to distance himself) in the early days I would definitely have said suho-Lay-Xiumin were the closest. Also Lay and Chen were well known for being absolute best friends, but that friendship actually seemed to fade after the others of China line left. Kai has gotten a lot closer to exo over the years imho. He was notorious predebut for not really getting along with exo outside of lay, which continuted sometime into debut. He’s always been interesting tho because out of everyone in exo he definitely gives the vibes that he’s not as dependent on the group and values his friendships outside of Exo. He is also the only member who Yixing has mentioned seeing in the past few years, and he even said on a reality show a few months ago that he speaks to Kai most frequently. Which is interesting considering they didn’t interact much during his last “active” years with the group. Kyungsoo and Baekhyun have DEFINITELY gotten closer over the years and it’s honestly been great to see. I would actually say Sehun and Kai have drifted apart over the years, and used to be closer back when they were lumped together all the time as the maknaes. Another notable pairing from the olden days is sehun and jongdae, which is interesting in today’s context. But I 100% agree that all of Exo has passed coworkers a while ago and that they are all friends!

Baekhyun being “Exo” is so true. He really has found a way to work himself into the hearts of everyone in that group though sheer persistence. CBX being incredibly close is so surprise. And neither is the former exo-m boys (jongdae and minseok) being close. I think all of your opinions are 100% correct I just wanted to talk about how the groups dynamics used to be back in the day lol since I was such a huge fan!

very interesting to hear the lay side of the story! the kai thing is also a surprise to me cause I always felt the only thing they had in common back in the day was being the dancers of the group. just the other day i was talking to a friend about how to me the dynamic between ot8 and lay is like. seeing an old friend from high school you still have a lot of love for but if you met them for coffee it would definitely be weird and you'd find you actually don't have much to talk about at all. lol

uhh i'm not that well versed on the dirty laundry of ncity but...

taeil was in a long term relationship until fairly recently (word is he didn't wanna break up), yuta sleeps around a lot but is sweet and fairly discreet, jeno and jaemin lift a rock and find a groupie which is not surprising - they actually used to pass girls around a lot but then covid was what slowed them down LMFAO now jeno seemed to stop doing it so much. no clue on jaemin.

what else.. uh taeyong is actually a bitchless loser like he truly has never had a known fling or taken up an offer for hooking up. same with doyoung he used to have a fairly serious gf predebut but they only lasted through the first year of nct and then broke up.

nothing on the wayv front like these men truly spend their entire time holed up in their apartment cleaning dog shit - except for ten who is also into the casual hookups but he seems to have a very stringent screening process. apparently they won't get past his bodyguard if he hasn't taken every measure to make sure they're clean sane and will sign an nda

oh and mark is truly SM's golden boy for a reason. guy has not had a single scandal happen to him and he doesn't like sleeping around (probably his catholic guilt at work) that's why lsm loves him. someone said when superm was touring the US baekhyun and kai would try to take them out to let off some steam and mark only went once and then went home early.

24. is your bias the same one as when you first started listening to exo? if no, who was it before and why did it change?

No 🫣😂 my FIRST bias was kai (and I still claim jongin btw) but I also became a kyungsoo stan the minute I heard What Is Love. That was true for multiple years too. But baekhyun slowly but surely won me over with his silly personality and the type of music he does. Plus the fact that he was actually doing a few solo songs & unit stuff and ksoo wasn't definitely helped at the time. I will always have a soft spot for kyungsoo tho. Don't tell baek but kyungsoo probably still has my favorite voice in all of exo 🤫 you didn't ask but: the difference between baek and kai? Jongin's like a best friend I've had for years and years that I'm a little in love with. And baekhyun? Loml (I am delusional I know)

originally a happy bday post from last year 🎂 i’ve been [grimaces] a fan since predebut but i rarely ever draw baekhyun so this was a struggle and a half to get thru & possibly the reason why love again was my most listened to song in 2021 (tho i finished this almost an entire year later in 2022… & now I’m uploading it here in 2023 😹) but here’s to more bbh fanarts in the future! hopefully! who knows, i may have just jinxed myself…

Hi! Secret Santa again! I can only imagine how hard ur speed paints are to make gifs with how much you have to shrink them for tumblrs terrible limits and even remembering to record the timelapse, I always say I’m going to record myself making things so people can see the process, but I never think about it until I’m at least halfway done lol.  

Oml the all in Lino in the cop/detective look is SO amazing,  he really seems to be able to pull off any concept and not make them seem over the top or silly. When he’s in all pastels and wearing a beret it doesn’t feel like someone forced him into a “cute” outfit, and when he’s doing the almost costume outfits like cops, or vampires they also just seem to suit him completely. He’s really one of those people that because he is so confident in himself nothing feels silly or out of place. 

Thunderous has definitely been my favorite era for Minho specifically. I think the  modernized more traditional outfits really work well with him, and having changbin shout his name before his part every stage felt really special. Over all I think thunderous, backdoor, and maniac have been my favorite eras. I feel like ever since gods menu that the boys have become a lot more confident and their stage presence and just how they act on skz talkers and things has felt more comfortable. Those concepts also just have felt like they really suited all of the members to me, plus im just a big fan of their more “noise” title tracks they seem to have more fun when performing really signature sounding skz songs. But I also don’t think there’s an era I haven’t really enjoyed, like some part of every comeback has at least been something I’ve really enjoyed. Especially when like with thunderous they promote a b-side that is so different from the title track, I feel like it really shows their colors well.

I also see that you’re into a few other groups other than nct like tbz and ateez! I love both of them so much, it made watching kingdom extra fun, getting to see how they both interacted with skz, and seeing that they were all friends! I know I got into tbz right after they debuted but it took me a few months to really come around to liking ateez (though now I don’t know whyyyy lmao) how did u get into them and nct?

I've been super multi these days! every time i get into a new group that was in kingdom or road to kingdom i go back and rewatch their clips and interactions hehe. I got into nct first thru superm (which I got into bc of baekhyun), and i think i kinda realized that it's really fun to stan a LOT of people, so i began getting into other groups like skz. i found atz bc of mutuals on my dash during kingdom but got into them more only recently after seeing them at kcon in august and then on tour in november!! so kinda like u, it took a bit to really get into them properly^^; and for tbz i was convinced by @chanstopher and @lonelystreetlight aka two partners in crime to check them out earlier this year, so i started from their predebut show boyz flower snack and then rewatched all their rtk and kingdom stages and then the rest was history LOL

sometimes i feel bad that since i follow so many groups that i don't follow skz's content as closely anymore as i used to. but on the flipside, i like how content creators on here make it easier for me to see all the best parts of their stuff, whether it's gifsets of stages or funny moments in skz code or just good looks in skz talker <3 also being multi means it's extra fun when the kidz have fun interactions with their besties in other groups like the darlingz friend group skz changbin + atz wooyoung + txt yeonjun + tbz haknyeon + crvt serim + gncd tag etc etc (the fact that i stan all these groups 💀) or also chan is just friends with everyone in the industry haha (i love his interactions w ab6ix during isac this year 🥺)
