I was about to make a very short post about the buttons on his shirt at the Olivier awards and I was going to include a link to this one and then realized I never actually posted it. Oops. Pretend I posted this last month, thanks
Found more info on the kilt, sporran, tartan, and shoes! and then I got distracted by this image I've seen a million times (yes I have been staring at these pictures for weeks) but somehow it's the first time I noticed the sparkly button on his sleeve!
It's the sort of thing I see and instantly know is going to demand my attention for the next hour, minimum.
Zoomed way in on another pic and I couldn't immediately identify the button, but the cufflink gave me a hint, because Mithridate (designer of two of his BAFTA looks, including this one) has been doing a lot with bugs, specifically moths, in the AW24 collection and in their other BAFTA look.
I am confident that the cufflink is a moth, based on these earrings, and I believe the button is a silver version of these beetles.
This image comes from Mithridate's website and features the moth earrings and also a beetle button
Fun fact! If you zoom in on the sleeves of Mithridate's other BAFTA piece, you'll notice the same moth buttons!

Is "David Tennant wore a kilt" a good enough reason to call in sick and not do anything for the rest of the week because how am I supposed to function now?
Also I can't possibly shut up about this sorry not sorry to my followers
"David Tennant's kilt" is how I will start every conversation for the foreseeable future

Okay so all the way back in October when I was putting together my Crowley cosplay, I went thrifting and found a black blazer with peaked lapels, and it was very Crowley, but it's a cosplay, and those get so expensive so fast! This one didn't have an interior pocket, and I don't think normal people pay this much attention to lapel shape, so I decided it was fine to skip buying it and wear the blazer I already have, despite its notched lapels. Not a big deal, right?
But then in November, David wore this absolutely gorgeous custom embellished tux to the 2023 Evening Standard Theatre Awards that was my favorite thing he's ever worn (pre-BAFTA) and it gave me the urge to embellish/bedazzle one. And I fought off that urge for months because look how many beads there are!! That's a massive project!
But now that David killed me twice in one day with those damn peaked lapels and fucking sparkles, I have to do it. I have to. (I even have an event coming up where I could wear it!) But because I didn't buy that one in October, now I have to wait until I have a chance to go thrifting again and idk when that will be, and seeing as there's somewhere I could wear it and that involves a deadline, I need to get started asap and omfg why am I stressed over this.
Anyway, have some pictures of David (plus bonus Georgia and Michael) making me feel things about lapels because they're pretty and I'm losing my mind over here

Leading up to his hosting the BAFTA awards, David mentioned plans to wear a kilt and talked about his hairy knees and was advised to spray tan them. Idk if he did any of that, but just look at these gorgeous knees!
