everything’s queer now

call me rainbow (they/she). leftist, fat, queer/bi, invisibly disabled, neurodivergent, polyamorous, 45 yo, white, nonbinary person. (Not religious, one of my names is pope.) Currently hyperfixated on Good Omens and its actors, but will post about whatever stuff I find interesting. Lots of sexual innuendo here!

It has come to my attention that most people don’t know this about Simon Pegg and Nick Frost and that’s a goddamn crime against humanity.
Back when they were young and poor they had to share a single person bed for nine months. As Pegg put it, they started out sleeping head to feet, but after kicking each other in the face one too many times they started sleeping head to head. It wasn’t long after that that they gave up on being macho “no touchy” dudes and just snuggled up during bedtime. In the morning they “couldn’t tell where one began and the other ended”.
That’s why they’re so cuddly today. They’re so physically close that it worried Frost’s fiance at the time and she asked them to never share a bed again after she got married to Frost. The night before the wedding Frost wasn’t allowed to see her anyway, so Pegg dropped by his house so they could share a bed one last time (Frost since got a divorce though). Pegg’s wife has no objections to any of this. If it’s important to her hubby, who is she to judge.
Pegg recommend all male friends to try sharing a bed. If it turns out you want to fuck each other, great, you’re going to have a lot of fun. If you don’t want to fuck each other, well, then nothing happens anyway.
(Side note: That’s also why there’s so many photos of Edgar Wright cuddling up to various guys. He learned that from Pegg and Frost. They created a cuddle monster that can’t be stopped)

"When you believe niceness disproves the presence of racism, it's easy to start believing bigotry is rare, and that the label racist should be applied only to mean-spirited, intentional acts of discrimination. The problem with this framework – besides being a gross misunderstanding of how racism operates in systems and structures enabled by nice people – is that it obligates me to be nice in return, rather than truthful. I am expected to come closer to the racists. Be nice to them. Coddle them." - Austin Channing Brown, I'm Still Here

Yeah it’s not the same. Although I didn’t know about this, so that’s fun I guess. But if I stop moving the things disappear behind the blue pencil icon again, so they aren’t clickable

I just saw an ad for streaming TV which, in part, showed a clip of Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor futzing around with the control panel of the TARDIS captioned "Star Trek: The Original Series".

Aziraphale would definitely call it fellatio, but not because he doesn’t know the current slang. You don’t live and work in SoHo without learning some things 😇😈

The real thing with ADHD is not "I forgot", but that forgetting is this ongoing process. I remembered! And then I forgot.
At ten this (hypothetical) morning I remembered that I have a meeting at six. And then from 11 through 3 I worked on other stuff and had zero thoughts about that meeting. Maybe even thought about what I was gonna do with my evening at home. Got attached to the idea of taking the time to make a good dinner, maybe play some video games.
And then at three I said, "Oh! Fuck!" and remembered again, hopefully long enough to set an alarm. And then I went to the bathroom and remembered that I need to clean the counter and spent twenty minutes cleaning the bathroom and went to get a snack and then at five I said, "OH! FUCK!" and had to scramble to dress like a real adult and get out the door.
It isn't one clean forgetting. It's a constant process of forgetting and then, with an exhausting adrenaline spike, remembering. And then forgetting. Baby, I can forget the same thing more times in a day than you ever forgot your parents' anniversary.

So I've got this friend whose nervous because she's trans and dating this guy who she hasn't told yet because they've only been on a two dates. For this story let's call the friend Jane and the guy she was dating Jason. Happy ending don't worry.
So I tell Jane to bring her boy over to a bbq I'm having and she can tell him she's trans at my place surrounded by queer and trans people who love her and will support her if he ends up being awful.
She waits till the end of the bbq to tell him the news, by which point the rest of us have learned that Jason is a kind, friendly, empathetic, hard working, dummy. So we sit down, all of us a little worried about this gym bro's reaction when she tells him she's trans, and that she understands if he doesn't want to keep dating her it's no big deal.
He's baffled, so we explain what trans is, and after the disclosure that she hasn't had bottom surgery yet...
"Oh you have a dick?"
"... yeah."
He look's around at the room full of people with baited breath, his clearly a little afraid girl friend says
"Oooohhhh! I get it! You think- don't worry Babe! Watch this!"
And ya'll this man jumps up, runs into the kitchen and returns with one of the bratwurst we had for grilling and proceeds to tilt his head back, put it down his throat, hold it in his mouth for a moment, and spit it up without even a whisper of a gag and then looks around at the group absolutely beaming with pride.
My mans saw his worried girlfriend and her support network and thought to him self "Oh they don't think I can't please my girl, but I'll show them!"

Does anyone know how to revert to a previous iteration of google’s reverse image search? Or know of an alternative?
It used to be really good at actually finding the original of whatever you were looking for. It would also show the actual dates that people made posts of the same image, so you could find older ones without having to click on them.
It’s how I would be able find the artist for some random screenshot and be able to share their work from their own accounts.
The image search still has the same headings but it doesn’t actually find the same type of info. And most of the results of the exact image pull up Pinterest or Twitter and not even with dates listed so I can keep following a trail.
Also I tried to find an answer to this and only got how to game SEO for google 😓🫠🤬

When I was like 7-8 y.o. my mom (who lead our Girl Scout troop) read us a bunch of “riddles” and tried to get us to figure them out. The one that I assumed would really only trip up people from the US, which I got almost immediately and has stuck with me ever since was “Do they have the 4th of July in England?” Obviously the answer is:
yes- it comes between the 3rd and the 5th😅
