Right now? Hard competition between @buggachat's Bakery Enemies AU and @wackus-bonkus-maximus one does not love breathing. Which should not surprise anyone, if you've been on my blog these past few weeks. Though right now I think I'm gonna go with the Bakery Enemies AU, because wackus's AU is still very painful and angsty and it's got a great set-up but I NEED a happy ending to soothe the pain. Sentis go through so much psychological horror in that fic, and I suspect that more's coming up...

Anyway, I absolutely adore the Bakery Enemies AU! I've written five fics for it so far.

Perspective From Another Timeline, because I really wanted to cross over BEAU with canon in some way, and Alya and Nino make everything better.

Swallowing Rings is Bad For Your Health, because I found the concept of what might happen if Marinette HAD actually swallowed the ring to be really funny, and it took only a minor tweak to explore that possibility. Most awkward identity reveal ever!

Greeting the New Dawn, because I wanted to explore some of the remaining angst even after Marinette and Adrien know each other's identities and are reunited properly. I think it's especially relevant now, with its focus on Marinette having nightmares about what could have happened to Adrien, if things had gone a little bit differently. I'm betting that Marinette will have more nightmares in BEAU soon, with feeling guilty about being so convinced, yet again, that Adrien is evil.

Hungover Realizations, because after the sleepover arc, I wanted a funny and adorable reveal to tide me over.

And finally, Forgetting Enemies, Rediscovering Friends, because I've wanted to write an Oblivio-inspired fic for ages.

I just really love BEAU, it's got that dramatic irony that helped attract me to Miraculous in the first place, and I love how clearly you can see Adrien's and Marinette's emotions throughout it.

I can't believe I missed the update of two chapters of the Sugarcoated Shells...

I really like Lukas' sweet, small and slightly crooked smile at Jesse in Chapter 3.It makes me happy to see his heartfelt smile. （And than he didn't have lunch.☹️ )I also agree that Petra is more like Lukas' sister in Chapter 4.(The friendship between them always makes me feel gratified.😢)

However, I have some questions.Why would Lukas think"This one was small, sweet, and slightly crooked"?(No kidding, this thought is very negative.)Did anything happen that made him have such negative thought?

As for your question, it was Jesse describing Lukas’ smile as crooked in that chapter. He doesn’t think it’s a bad thing at all—he actually thinks it’s really cute. Before then, Jesse had only seen the forced “customer-service smile”, so seeing Lukas’ genuine smile catches him a little off guard (in a good way).

oooo what mafia au or mafia stories prompted the post??

I've read quiiite a lot of mafia boss fics throughout the years that contributed to such thoughts lolol buuut my thoughts were triggered today by a flower shop/mafia boss fic. It's an Ateez fic. I don't remember if you're into kpop or not, so not sure you'd have interest in it, but I'll send it to you if you are.

Honestly don't think I've ever read a mafia boss fic with Dick. Maybe a crime family fic with him and a few of the other bats. That was a longgg time ago though, don't even remember the story. I never really seek out fics where the bats are on the opposite side of the law, but if I happen to stumble across them, I'll take a look and see if they interest me.

No but in another fandom there was a mafia boss fic where the antagonist chopped off the SO's finger and sent it to the mafia boss in a box, and that's the type of shit that makes those fics so good.

I'm curious, is the latest part of your bakery "enemies" au (115) at 7:24 am or pm? I've been assuming am since Europe uses the 24-hour clock (so 7:24 pm would be 19:24), but looking back at it, the things she's doing look more like before bed activities?
