Bio: Throughout her childhood, Bambi Clementine was constantly referred to as a happy child. Her parents spent much of their time showering their miracle baby with affection and attention and it showed in the glow of her smile and sunny disposition. As she grew older, she couldn’t help but take notice that there were people far less fortunate than her and decided she wanted to help as much as she could. If a friend needed or wanted something they couldn’t afford, Bambi would pay for it without question. She tutored classmates in subjects they struggled in and shared her lunch with anyone that’d forgotten theirs at home, or couldn’t buy one from school. Helping her own personal circle still didn’t feel like enough, though, so she began organizing food drives, clothing drives, bake sales, car washes — anything she could to get money or resources to the people who needed it. It was at a book drive for the local library that she met a boy named Benjamin who would change the course of her life in ways she never could have expected.

Benjamin presented as generous and free-spirited, just like her, and she couldn’t help pining after him. But after almost a year of dating, the boy she thought she knew began to change and his true colors shone through. It started with him berating her over small things — like getting him the wrong sized coffee, or just slightly overcooking her brownies so the edges were too crispy — and so she tried to brush it off and tell herself that he was just stressed. But things quickly escalated from verbal to physical and the last straw came on a frightening night when he threatened her with a knife. Bambi wanted out of the relationship, but she was terrified that he would try to hurt her if she ended things and so, with the help of one of her friends, she came up with a plan. She began acting erratically around her parents — forcing herself to cry at all hours of the day and night for seemingly no reason, screaming as loud as she could from her bedroom, talking about things that didn’t make sense, driving recklessly when they were in the car with her and saying the voices in her head told her to do it — until they were forced to check their once happy child into Dullahan Asylum.

Bambi didn’t spend more than a few months there before her childhood best friend — a member of the Rag Dolls — told her parents the truth and they got her out of there. By the time she was released, she’d been exposed to more horrors than she ever could have imagined and knew she had to do something, somehow. She also knew she couldn’t go home and face Benjamin. Not yet. It was in the parking lot of Dullahan that she decided to join a gang with the help of her best friend and, with the condition that she come home to visit often, she went with her parent’s blessing.

After a couple of years with the gangs — first as a Whirlybird and then as a Rag Doll — Bambi got word that Benjamin and his family had moved to a small town three hours outside of the city so she returned home to finish college in person and enroll in medical school. From there, she used her connections to meet a handful of doctors that worked for the Resistance and has been mentoring and interning for one ever since. Her goal is to complete the remainder of her medical school classes and then work full time as a doctor for the Resistance where she knows she’ll be able to help the people that truly need it.
