i actually feel like the bamfiest aziraphale moment that isn't getting enough love is the "you came to me. i said i would protect you. and i will." like hoooly shit. it's brave in a quiet way, in a kind way. and the way it's delivered too, it really feels like for a brief moment i got to see all the way through his soul to its shining core. anyone gif that bit?

Crowley *suspiciously*: Why do you wear reading glasses, angel? You're an occult -- sorry, "ethereal" being, you don't need them.

Aziraphale *giving him a stern look over the rim of his glasses*: I don't?

Crowley *blushing*: Nevermind ...

Aziraphale *smug*: That's what I thought.

In S3 I'd love to see Aziraphale in full-blown bamf protector mode shielding Crowley from deadly harm. Wings out, flaming sword in hand, standing defiantly between the demon and whatever is trying to hurt him.

And once the threat's dealt with they're both dirty and bloodied and exhausted and they stare at each other for a long hesitant moment and then CRASH into each other in a desperate, quiet and very long HUG.

And then they gently pull apart ever so slightly, their foreheads touching, and Aziraphale says something like "I missed you so very much, my dear, my darling" and then they look into each other's eyes and they both have tears streaming down their cheeks and they're trembling and then Aziraphale gently brings his hand up to touch Crowley's cheek and kisses him.

There's all kinds of theories of how Crowley will act in season 3, ranging from he'll be an absolute mess dehydrated from crying so much, to being an absolute menace and glueing even more coins to the street, to being still in touch with Aziraphale and being a sassy little bitch in their conversations, to Duke of Hell Crowley out of spite/hopelessness.

But, at the end of the day, what really matters is what Aziraphale is like.

No matter how Crowley behaves, Aziraphale needs to make the decision. Crowley or Heaven/Earth. He needs to do something big, something drastic, so that Crowley will fully understand the extent of his love.

Crowley keeps rescuing him, again and again throughout the centuries, no questions asked, no thanks demanded. It's his turn to be saved.
