More often than not, people reduce Louis to merely being a passenger in his own life - and perhaps up until this point in the books & show, you could argue that was true. But he is equally responsible for allowing Armand to do what he does to Claudia, which ultimately leads to her death. Lestat was a bastard, but like he said himself, "Call me a dog, but an honest dog." Louis has more agency than he (or the audience) believes he has.

Rediscovering the joys of the library as an adult is fun bc i can go on the very nice website of my local library and type in the search word “encyclopedia” and then just scroll through 39 pages of encyclopedia books that my library has. And i could just borrow them all and look through them. FOR PRACTICALLY FREE.

people are simultaneously too mean to him but also he needs to get bullied. fans are so mean to him but not for any of the reasons he deserves it. I think all the others are pretty self explanatory... he's my little bastard man. i don't care about him as much as I care about various female characters he attaches himself onto but I do have a lot of fondness for him he is like a little purse dog to me. also in hindsight i should have highlighted "i fuck with this aesthetic" as well bc while his normal aesthetic means nothing to me i do love his early btvs seasons sopping wet sexy lamp damsel in distress bondage situations thing he has going on. AND his gay little jewellery that they later got rid of :(
