If somebody (an NPC, someone from their backstory, etc.) your character trusts/loves asked your character to do something against the party’s best interest, who would they side with? If it only involved herself, Deah would probably go do it. But if it was a huge net loss for the group, she wouldn't, if that makes sense? It's hard to make sweeping statements like that.

Does your character value their own best interest more than the party’s? She values her own interest for sure, but she would prioritize the party's if one meant dunking on the other. She knows what it's like to sail with a tight knit crew; sometimes you sacrifice to make the group as a whole better/happier.

What decision would the party have to make in order for your character to consider splitting off from the group? Oh gosh, uh.... I mean, if they decide to help her enemies (not likely to happen, there are a couple shared ones). If they don't let her do something she REALLY wants... I can't really think of anything specific.

Also, recently, she gave all of the money she got from a quest to a townsperson to help them rebuild their city a bit (secretly of course. Not even her team knows she did that, though maybe some of them suspect hahaha)

What is your character the most envious about, regarding anyone in the party? Once again... probably most envious of Maddie!! She comes up a lot doesn't she ;P

Similarly, she trusts Mercy to hold an oath to the best of her ability, but not if a secret comes up -- same with Rudi. Ro does what she wants LMAO and she isnt telling Haru anything personal atm.

What unusual talents does your character possess? Sharp senses and magic tricks.

How does your character feel about receiving/giving orders? Are they more of a leader, or a follower? It's rather situational. She tries to be a leader type, but she also realizes she's not at the top of the leader chain (and, with her party, at times different people take the head, so it's almost more consult-y like).

What does your character’s name represent to them? (Or: why as a player did you choose your character’s name?) The player of Cal, her brother, chose his name first from a generator. I like to construct my names sometimes from different name elements, so I made hers to match the sound of her twin's (that is, make it sound like it came from the same language). Her name is constructed of "Feld-" (field) and "-Deah" (dye) so her first name translates roughly to "field of dye." Her original last name is Shearwater, which is a real life sea bird but also follows the traditional elven naming convention (their dad was an elf). She never felt much of an attachment to her last name. She recently changed her last name to Blackheart, which was the moniker of her captain.

Is your character more of an introvert, or an extrovert? Introvert for sure

How far is your character willing to go to pursue the “greater good”? Do they believe in a greater good at all? She would go as far as she needs to, but would never force others to make that same decision.

Then she got her pact. She's still kind of awkward about it, and at times really doesn't like magic, but she sees it as a tool. A means to an end.

Who is your character’s biggest rival? Rival?????? I guess Morrigan tbh??? Cuz a rival isn't an enemy, and she had a thing going with Morrigan (her player is on hiatus tho). In some ways she rivals Mercy too. A dance of similarities and differences.

What is your character’s guiltiest pleasure? Fine, beautiful dresses. She doesn't own any, because it's a waste of money, but.... she wants them. Secretly.

How did your character learn the languages that they speak? Common, prucrician and Elvish she learned just growing up. Deep, she just... mysteriously knows. Doesn't know why she can speak it. Draconic she learned at first from Rudi, and then from a dragonborn NPC to finish her lessons during a timeskip.

What is most important to your character: health, wealth, or happiness? Why must she choose? Wealth, because that brings health and happiness in her eyes. (Because money buys food and when you have food.....)

What advice would your character give to a younger version of themselves? I know it's hard, but open up more. You don't have to keep it to yourself to protect others. Your brother can be your friend as well... you don't have to just keep holding yourself back for your friends and family.

Are there any social or political issues your character feels strongly about? She doesn't feel super strongly about politics, having been a pirate. She feels strongly about protecting children and poor though, as I've mentioned.

When I was a little girl, I loved the ritual of packing for summer camp. My parents sent me every year to the little compound up the road full of earnest young Christian children, eager college age counselors and righteous adults.

This is not that summer camp. Do you hear me Sally? Regina? Dorothy?

At this summer camp you come as you are, who you really are. It doesn’t matter if she shows up in a black trash bag because that’s the only way you can sneak her out of the house. We will find a way to put her back together again.

So what is in this bag? What goes in every good girls suitcase for summer camp?

Well every girl will need the following:

A towel, sunscreen, toothbrush, toothpaste. Floral scented shampoos conditoiners and lotions are made available for all guests.

Every special girl will need the following:

Wig cap, half a dozen pairs of pantyhose (at least), face razor, body razor, exfoliator, makeup remover, baby wipes, eyelashes, silicone inserts (breasts), bra, panties, slip, satin tank, shoes (one pair each, boots, heels, flats). If any special girl feels another choice fits her personal style more then she is invited to bring those items with her. Use of cell phones is discouraged during your stay.

Basic wardrobe requirements are two sarongs, one for the body and one for the head. Head coverings are elegant, very feminine and strongly encouraged during your stay at summer camp. Wigs are excellent choices for nights out and your photography session. Clip on earrings are reccomended but may be more difficult to locate so shop online or shop early. Thrift stores often have a few pairs of clip on earrings.

If there are any items you wish to donate to our closet at summer camp you are welcome to bring those items with you and if they are useful and fill a need in our collection we will happily keep them for you. You may return at any time to retrieve your items.

Your host, Domina Vontana, is a Goddess. This Goddess serves beauty and discipline. Heavenly beauty and Eartly discipline. Protocol requires that all guest present gifts to the Hostesses upon arrival. This is the first ceremony. Guests also change clothing at this ceremony. Have at least the two sarongs ready to go when you arrive and make sure to wear appropriate undergarments upon arrival, because you will be stripped and made to dress to the specifications of the head Mistress. Chastity is strongly encouraged. Please place the device on your body prior to arrival.

Wine is encouraged. Domina Vontana’s favorite wines are Savignon Blanc and Sangiovese. Hard liquor is not permitted. Smoking cigarettes is discouraged and must be done outdoors at all times. All cigarette butts must be disposed of in the proper container. Perfume, incense and sweet smelling flowers should be in every room during your stay so come prepared to contribute to the atmosphere of summer camp. Oils that contain anti bug properties are strongly encouraged as well as soothing scents. General recommendations include Tea tree, sweet orange, grapefruit, rosemary, jasmine, geranium, vanilla, bergamot, and lavendar.

Guest are encouraged to bring a water bottle and a baseball cap or large brim sun hat  to protect against exsposure. In addition a beach towel is recommended. If a photo shoot is part of your sissy summer camp experience then bring the items with you and make sure they have been pressed and are camera ready on the day of your sitting.  All meals will be vegetarian except for the closing ritual and dinner. Most meals are also gluten free. If you have any allergies you must let the hostess know before booking. All reasonable accommodations will be made however meat is not permitted except for at the closing ritual. All meals are prepared and eaten as a group.

Daily activites are determined in the morning by team consensus between hostesses and guests, collectivey known as the sisters. Participation is not mandatory, but taking emotional and psycholocal risks that you have contemplated for some time are stronly encouraged. Gentle but firm is the approach that guides all our actions, even in the midst of a heavy S/m scene. Most things are not given enough time, but at SSC (Sissy SummerCamp) time is what we have and time is what we take. Practice lounging like a Goddess, or cleaning like a real maid. Glowing like the Metal (On the Edge of a Knife)

“If I knew hanging out with Byers would get you so bothered, I would’ve been nicer to him from the start,” he murmurs, tipping her back so he can lay over her.

Steve doesn’t really know how it happened, because neither he nor Nancy have ever actually addressed it, but somehow Jonathan Byers has become a part of their sex life. Not literally, because Jonathan still looks vaguely uncomfortable when they get too cuddly around or with him, but he’s still undeniably involved. A year ago, Jonathan even being a variable in Steve’s life would have been at the top of the “List of Ridiculous Things that are Never Going to Happen”, and now Steve doesn’t know what he’d do without Jonathan balancing out their little trio. That fact that he’s now the unspoken third party in the bedroom is something Steve’s still coming to terms with.

Even now, with a very beautiful, very warm, and very willing Nancy Wheeler on his lap, Johnathan fucking Byers is still on his mind. And Steve’s pretty sure he’s on Nancy’s too, consider she’d waited about 30 seconds after Jonathan had left for work before straddling him with an urgency that still surprises him. It’s not the first time either, she’s been waiting shorter and shorter amounts of time. Steve’s pretty sure she’s hoping Jonathan will forget something and walk in on them, but that’s just a theory. He watches her glance at the door when her fingers tighten in his hair and she rolls her hips hard enough to punch a groan out of him, and yeah, she’s definitely hoping Jonathan will come back and see them.

Which is an admirable plan, except Steve’s not sure how well that would work anyway, after the very memorable time when Nancy had been undoing his jeans and Steve had been about to unhook her bra and they’d been so wrapped up in each other that neither of them had heard his bedroom door opening. The three of them had stared at each other for what felt like forever before Jonathan had turned red and left without saying anything. The “No sex before Jonathan comes over” rule had been enacted that day, although they’ve had a hard time sticking to it.

That’s the other thing that’s surprising; hanging out with Jonathan has improved their sex. And the amount of sex they have. By a lot. (Not that he’s complaining, because Nancy’s pretty much the most amazing girl he’s ever met and he’ll take any chance he gets to touch her.) Despite trying to make Jonathan feel comfortable with them, they have a hard time keeping their hands off each other at any given time. It’s frustrating because being around him seems to make them want to touch each other more, and Steve wishes they could (and he wishes Jonathan would let them pull him into it, like they both so obviously want to, but that’s besides the point).

It’s also frustrating because they don’t talk about it. Steve tries to, and then Nancy kisses him, and he gets distracted (He knows that she’s doing it on purpose, too) and then clothes come off and he stops thinking about anything besides how great she is.

Except now he can’t think about that, because he’s distracted thinking about Jonathan fucking Byers while trying to get off with his beautiful girlfriend. Which wouldn’t be a problem if Jonathan was also here getting off with them, but he’s not, and Steve’s stuck thinking about someone who’s not even there, and it’s kind of killing the vibe he’s trying to keep going. Also, at some point he wants to actually have Jonathan there with them and he’s got to at least get used to talking about it or he’s going to be a mess if it ever does happen (because he’s already had his freak out over being more than a little queer for Jonathan, but the real things is going to be a different issue).

She looks guilty for a second, and he gets it, why she’s been avoiding this conversation. Last time he thought she had any feelings for Jonathan, everything went to shit and he ending up getting his ass handed to him, but back then he thought she was cheating on him. This doesn’t feel like cheating, not when the way Jonathan looks at her when he thinks she isn’t looking or the way Nancy settles between them on movie nights that lets her touch both of them just make him want.

“I gotta ask, though, is it just him, or the both of us?” Because he might as well get his own hang up about this conversation out of the way. There’s no guilt on her face this time, just something fierce and almost frightening in the intensity in her expression.

“I love you,” Nancy says forcefully, and her hands slide out of his hair to grasps the sides of his face. There’s a moment where they just breath for a moment, his forehead pressed to hers, and then she sighs a little and repeats herself, “I love you”.

“You just love him too,” he says, because it’s the truth and maybe he should feel sad or resigned about that, but as long as Nancy Wheeler loves him, he can’t really feel anything but happy.

“But it’s okay,” he presses a kiss against her cheek, “As long as I still get to be your trophy husband someday, I can learn to share.”

“You’re an idiot, Steve Harrington,” she says, and there’s so much affection in her voice that he can’t help but kiss her again, slower and sweeter than before.

“You’re beautiful, Nancy Wheeler,” he says, meaning it just as much as he did the first time. He smiles against her lips when they meet his this time, and then she shifts underneath him and hooks one of her legs behind him in a move that pushes them closer together and he’s suddenly reminded of why he started the conversation (and also how achingly hard he is).

He forces out a laugh, one that feels a little strangled, “You really think Byers would let me fuck him?”

“Maybe, but I’m more interested in him fucking you,” she says, and there’s a challenge in her eyes when he meets them. Steve feels like the air’s been punched out of him at the thought. Somewhere between realizing he was in love with Jonathan and realizing he also wanted to sleep with Jonathan, his brain had skipped over the actual idea of sex with another guy, and now it feels like it’s short-circuiting at the possibility.

“Shit, I need to be in you right now,” he eventually grinds out. The fact that the idea of getting railed by Jonathan made him harder than he’s ever been in his life is something he’ll think about later. At the moment, he needs to get inside his girlfriend before he comes in his pants. Nancy seems to agree because her hands reach for his fly at the same time he goes to grab a condom from his nightstand (and maybe they should start putting those away when Jonathan comes over) and then she’s pushing his jeans and boxers down around his knees as he rips the foil packet open with his teeth. It takes a few more seconds for him to get her skirt up around her stomach and her underwear off and then she gets the condom on him and fucking finally.

There’s no experience like being with Nancy. Even like this, with most of their clothes still on and what feels like hours of pent up tension driving them, he can’t help being amazed by her. He gets a hand in between them to help her along, because he’s not going to last very long but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t get her off first. She tightens around him and he loses it, biting down on her shoulder and grabbing the leg wrapped around him to keep her hips pressed against him.

He ties the condom off and throws it somewhere in the general area of the trashcan before pulling his jeans back up and flopping down next to Nancy.

“You know, we still have to talk about this at some point,” He says, curling an arm around her waist and laying his head down on her shoulder. “And not like today, not just dirty talk, like a real conversation about everything.”

Her fingers card through his hair for a moment before she sighs, “We do.”

“And we need to talk to Jonathan.” She tugs at the hairs at the base of his neck and he cranes his neck to look up at her.

Shefit Thrives During Coronavirus With D-to-C Model – WWD

The story of Shefit begins with Sara Moylan. The longtime athlete, bodybuilding champion, rodeo barrel racer and former fitness model was pregnant with her first child when she realized she couldn’t find a bra that would fit her growing bust. 

“My chest just got out of control,” Moylan told WWD. “I was trying to work out, stay in shape, do all the right things and my bras weren’t giving me the support I needed. I was tying the excess [straps] in my bras with rubber bands; I was wearing two or three bras at a time. I finally decided to take matters into my own hands one day and I cut apart a bra.”

Moylan’s creation — what she dubbed “the Frankenstein bra” (“I wasn’t a very good sewer,” she recalled) — was pieced together with a hot glue gun and a needle and thread. But it provided the initial template of what was to come: a sports bra with adjustable Velcro straps for a customized level of support and a magnetic zipper front for easy on and off.

But back then, Moylan wasn’t looking to start a business. Four pregnancies later — and multiple seamstresses to help assemble her custom sports bras — Moylan and her husband Bob realized other women were having similar issues. 

“Everyone else in the space was catering to the extreme-minded athlete — and I am her, for sure,” Moylan said. “But I’m surrounded by women who come from all different walks of life and different ages and sizes and athletic levels. That’s the mission behind our brand: Every woman can be an athlete.” 

The Moylans kept their day jobs in sales at the beginning while moonlighting as bra designers in their Detroit basement by night. Then, in 2016, the duo got their big break with an appearance on ABC’s “Shark Tank.” Success quickly followed. 

In fact, top-line revenues grew about 300 percent each year — or more than 3,400 percent between August 2016 and August 2019.

But when the coronavirus caused the country to socially separate in March, Shefit — like many other fashion brands — was worried. Shefit’s direct-to-consumer model, however, helped position the brand for the future, said Jeffry Aronsson, a Shefit shareholder and retail veteran. (His résumé includes stints as chief executive officer of Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs and Oscar de la Renta, among others.) Without stores to worry about or wholesale partners, the only way to buy Shefit products was at its web site.

“Even in 2016, I saw the handwriting on the wall,” said Aronsson, who partnered with the Moylans that year. “The wholesale model doesn’t make sense; the brand has no control. They start with a message — a pure brand message — and it goes from a warehouse to a store to a floor. It’s like a game of telephone. By the time the message gets around the table, it’s completely distorted.

“The product is one thing,” Aronsson continued. “But how it’s communicated, what it stands for, how it’s delivered and how it’s sold, those are all important things, too. So, Sara and Bob decided they’re going to focus less on making sales across a broad base and more on their direct-to-consumer strategy.”

Another thing no one was expecting during a global health crisis was a surge in the already-growing activewear market. 

In April, products started selling out. Shefit sold about 80,000 units that month — made up of $78 sports bras and $68 leggings — an increase of 250 percent in sales from March. On many days sales topped more than $200,000.

“We have waitlists,” said Moylan, who also serves as chief brand officer. “Like three weeks to get a virtual fitting. And many people who have never had the bra — and just got one — are coming back to get another. It’s crazy. It’s our little Shefit Nation.” 

Moreover, between April and May — when other businesses were laying off or furloughing associates — Shefit added about a dozen employees just to keep up. The company that began with just two people is now closer to 50, and plans to hire more in the near future.

In addition to the brand’s direct-to-consumer model, Moylan said shoppers keep coming back because of Shefit’s unique attributes. A March 2019 study in the International Journal of Exercise Science found that Shefit’s bras cause less breast bounce and motion than sports bras made by activewear giants Adidas, Nike, Under Armour and Moving Comfort. 

“Our motto has always been function over fashion,” Moylan said. “I think the majority of other bras out there are more fashion over function.”

Sports bras will always be Shefit’s “bread and butter,” Moylan added, but she’s got other ideas brewing. Like everyday bras, tank tops and swimwear. 

“We internally refer to Sara as the ‘volcano of ideas,’” said Bob, who is also ceo of the business. “We have teams of people just trying to keep up with her. And my job is to bring her ideas to fruition; figure out how to finance them and get them out into the world.”

Meanwhile, Shefit’s rapid growth has attracted the attention of a handful of private equity firms. Bob said the company is not funded by venture capital, but added that they’re open to outside partners in the future if it’s a good fit. 

“We do want to take Shefit global at a certain point,” Bob said.

Are you an over-packer? Not sure what you will need and what the weather will hold?

The unpredictability of late autumn or winter travel can leave you stressed and with overstuffed luggage. Pushing the limits of your suitcase, leaving no room for souvenirs, or maybe even breaking weight limits on luggage restrictions, costing you money at the gate. Checking  extra luggage is expensive, upwards of $100 (US) per bag, per person in many cases.

So, what are some of the ways that you can reduce your costs, avoid overpacking, leave room for souvenirs and still be prepared for what the weather may hold?

Use a hard-sided, rolling carry-on  – This will ensure that your items are a bit better protected against the elements. Typically, a carry-on is no more than 20″ tall. However, some airlines will list it as 22″. I stick to 20″ to be on the safe side and avoid penalties or surprises at the gate.

  Take a soft-sided duffel bag – Make sure all of your clothing (or at least most) will fit in the duffel bag. It doesn’t need to be very big, but it will provide you with “overflow” on your return flight if needed. Roll this bag and put it into your carry-on. When flying home with souvenirs, if you need to check a bag, you can check the duffel with your clothing in it and keep your souvenirs in the carry-on with you in the cabin. NOTE: If your duffel fits the dimensions of a “personal item” then you don’t have to check anything. Just be sure your other personal items fit in one of the bags. 

  Limit your shoes! – I love shoes. I collect shoes. But when space is limited, and the weather unpredictable, it is best to keep yourself to 2 or 3 pairs at most. Honestly, I think 3 is pushing it. Unless you are 💯 percent sure you are going to require a dressy pair of shoes, go with comfort and function. Stick to 1 pair of waterproof, warm shoes and 1 pair of comfortable walking shoes. I also pack a pair of inexpensive ($2 or less) flip-flops/thongs for the shower (if we stay in a hostel) and for lounging around. I choose ankle height, warm slip on boots which can be worn with leggings, jeans or even tights as well as a pair of comfortable slip-on or low-top sneakers.

  Mix and Match Layers – Now we get to the most important part, clothing. Especially during cooler months, layers can get bulky, quickly filling your suitcase with just a handful of items. To avoid this, I keep my items to a fairly monochromatic color palette so items can be mixed and matched to make multiple outfits.

1 Pair of Jeans – I like jeggings since they don’t shift or dig when sitting for long periods. The form fitting nature of the legs will be slimming as well as wear well with any shoe type or layers of clothing. If you need a nicer outfit, add 1 pair of black jeggings or ankle length slacks.

1 Pair of leggings – I stick to basic black or dark gray. If you know that it will be very chilly, you can go with fleece lined if you feel you need the extra warmth.

1 Sweater – Stick to a lightweight, soft wool in a neutral shade. Cashmere or Moreno wool will provide warmth without bulk. I make sure the fit is a little on the loose side, not too form-fitting so that I can layer it over another shirt easily and still have a coat/jacket fit nicely. Again, I stick to Black or Dark Gray as it will go with anything else I pack or buy.

1 scarf – We like to pack one warm scarf, typically a blanket scarf, as we are likely to purchase another one when traveling. By sticking to a blanket style, it is able to be worn multiple ways as well as use it as a lightweight blanket when traveling. (I use my scarf to add color to my outfits, so it often has reds greens and blues.) A pair of gloves may be a good idea too.

4 shirts – 2 long sleeved and 2 short sleeved. Keep them simple, lightweight fabrics which will allow for layering under the sweater and that are comfortable with jeans or leggings.  You can find these in lightweight base layers which are often wool as well. You can go with prints here if you want! 

1-2 Tank tops – I often include 1-2 tank tops as well. They don’t take up much space and they can offer a  light layer under a sweater or flannel shirt.

1 Flannel shirt – I prefer to choose an additional layer like a lightweight plaid flannel shirt. This can be used with a tank top, over a short-sleeved or long-sleeved shirt as well as under the sweater depending on the weather.

1 sweater dress (Optional) – If you know you will need a nice outfit, try a sweater dress. It will be warm, easy to dress up and comfortable without wrinkling when packed in a suitcase. 🧳 If you pack a dress, be sure to pack thick tights just in case it is very cold.

Undergarments, Socks and PJs– I keep it simple. 2 Bras, 3-5 panties, 3-5 socks, pajama pants & top, and a small travel bottle of laundry soap/powder. I pack minimally here as I can easily wash the small items by hand in a sink, no matter where I stay. I got mine at REI.

   1 coat 🧥  –  If you are going where it snows at all, or has frigid wind, make sure you have a warm winter coat. This does NOT get put into your luggage. You carry this bad-boy when commuting or you wear it. Make sure it fits over the bulkiest outfit you can put together. Belted styles will also help to nip in the waist over fewer layers. A 3-season type option may be a good idea. You can take the outer layer as a windbreaker/rain jacket and the inner layer insulates you and can also be worn alone. (North Face and Columbia have great options.)

1 Lightweight jacket – Wind resistant, rain resistant. If it isn’t cold enough for the winter coat, you have a second option. Don’t get too carried away with the thickness of this one. It needs to fit into your suitcase without taking up more space than 1 pair of jeggings/jeans.

    1 Personal bag/day bag – I like to use a backpack or a crossbody bag like a satchel or messenger bag. I have one that converts to a backpack and is big enough to hold my laptop or lightweight jacket if I need to.

    I purchased it on Etsy from WigWag. The soft canvas also allows me to stuff it into another suitcase if I need to. A small clutch may also be handy and not take up much space if you need a nice outfit.

  So, you have your wardrobe figured out…but how is it all going to fit?  

GET ROLLING!

If you roll your items, flat fold/roll your socks, and place your shoes in large ziplock bags, you can fit a lot more into your small suitcase.

Stuff sacks!

Stuff sacks are your best friend when backpacking or minimalist packing. They are a compression bag which will allow you to place your rolled items into it, then compress the air out.

Keep your toiletries to the bare minimum. Take travel sizes of everything and make sure it all fits into ONE Quart sized bag as that is all TSA will allow. No more than 3oz per liquid bottle. Unless you are roughing it in the wild, you will be able to find toothpaste, deodorant, contact solution etc. at shops. You will just need to ask someone for assistance if you can’t find what you need. 

And there you have it! One week or more worth of winter packing in a single carry-on!
